Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ difficulties in reading and writing literacy, the inhibiting factors, and teachers’ efforts to overcome reading and writing literacy difficulties among first-grade students at SD Negeri 186/I Sridadi. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation techniques used to ensure data validity. The results showed that reading literacy difficulties included letter recognition, distinguishing letters with similar shapes and sounds, blending syllables, and reading fluency, while writing literacy difficulties included inaccurate letter formation, inappropriate use of capital letters, irregular spacing between letters and words, and untidy handwriting. The inhibiting factors of reading and writing literacy difficulties originated from students’ internal factors, family environment, and lack of practice at home. Teachers’ efforts to address these difficulties included step-by-step instruction, the use of instructional media, individual guidance, providing correct reading and writing models, and the implementation of school literacy programs.

Abstract

Program Adiwiyata di SD Negeri 37 Pangkalpinang yang telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2018. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan Model Scriven dengan menitikberatkan pada penilaian keberhargaan dan kebermaknaan program berdasarkan kondisi nyata di lapangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lingkungan sekolah, wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan warga sekolah, telaah dokumen program, serta analisis sarana pendukung lingkungan seperti greenhouse, taman sekolah, dan bank sampah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Adiwiyata telah diimplementasikan dengan baik, ditunjang oleh kebijakan sekolah yang berwawasan lingkungan, partisipasi aktif warga sekolah, serta ketersediaan fasilitas ramah lingkungan. Implementasi program tersebut berdampak pada terbentuknya perilaku peduli lingkungan di kalangan siswa dan diperkuat dengan pencapaian sebagai Sekolah Adiwiyata Nasional. Meskipun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu ditingkatkan, terutama konsistensi perilaku peduli lingkungan siswa, optimalisasi pemanfaatan fasilitas kompos, serta integrasi pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan ke dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Secara keseluruhan, Program Adiwiyata di SD Negeri 37 Pangkalpinang memiliki tingkat keberhasilan yang tinggi dan berpotensi untuk ditingkatkan menuju Adiwiyata Mandiri melalui penguatan strategi keberlanjutan dan monitoring secara berkala.

Abstract

Shot put learning in elementary schools is an integral part of Physical Education that plays an important role in developing basic motor skills, physical strength, and students’ character. However, in practice, shot put learning still faces various challenges, including low student motivation, limited learning media, the dominance of conventional teaching methods, and the lack of integration of local cultural contexts. These conditions make learning less meaningful and difficult for students to understand. This study aimed to identify the problems of shot put learning in elementary schools and to analyze the potential use of Augmented Reality based on local culture as an innovative solution in Physical Education learning. This research employed a descriptive approach using quantitative methods supported by qualitative data obtained from questionnaires, observations, skill tests, and interviews with physical education teachers and students. The findings indicated that shot put learning was still dominated by conventional media, which limited clear and engaging visualization of movement techniques. In addition, local cultural elements had not been optimally integrated into the learning process. The use of Augmented Reality based on local culture has strong potential to enhance learning quality through interactive, contextual, and easily understood three-dimensional movement visualization. This media is also expected to increase students’ learning motivation, active participation, and comprehensive understanding of basic shot put techniques. Therefore, the development of local culture-based Augmented Reality is recommended as a relevant and innovative learning media to support meaningful and contextual Physical Education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted to examine the impact of PowerPoint-based instructional media on the learning outcomes of sixth-grade students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at SDN 200507 Pijorkoling. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The participants consisted of 11 students, including 5 males and 6 females. Data were collected through a multiple-choice achievement test administered before and after the instructional intervention. The data analysis revealed a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest results, with the mean score increasing from 61.45 to 70.45. The results of the t-test indicated a significant effect (p = 0.000 < 0.05), demonstrating that the use of PowerPoint media significantly influenced students’ learning outcomes. Nevertheless, the N-Gain value of 0.2478 suggests that the level of improvement falls within the low effectiveness category. These findings indicate that while PowerPoint media contributes to a statistically measurable improvement in learning outcomes, its practical effectiveness requires further optimization. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low social skills of students in the Social Science (IPAS) subject in Grade III at UPT SDN 010 Siabu. One of the solutions to overcome this problem was the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning, implementation, and improvement of students’ social skills through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in Grade III students of UPT SDN 010 Siabu in the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 21 students. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings, which included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and documentation using observation sheets of teacher and student activities as well as social skills observation sheets. The data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that students’ social skills in the IPAS subject improved after the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. In the first cycle, students’ social skills were in the “fair” category with an average score of 77, where 13 students achieved mastery with a classical completeness of 62%. In the second cycle, students’ social skills increased to the “good” category with an average score of 84, where 18 students achieved mastery with a classical completeness of 86%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can improve students’ social skills in the IPAS subject for Grade III at UPT SDN 010 Siabu.

Abstract

In classroom practice, students often struggle to understand the concepts of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere in the topic “Getting to Know Our Earth” due to limited media and suboptimal technological integration. Based on this issue, the study formulates two research problems: (1) how teachers and students engage in learning activities using Google Sites in IPAS lessons on “Getting to Know Our Earth”, and (2) how student learning outcomes are affected after using Google Sites–based media. This study aims to describe instructional activities and student learning outcomes through the use of the Google Sites digital platform. This research employs a descriptive qualitative design involving 20 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Gue Gajah. Data were collected through activity observations and learning outcome tests. The findings show that Google Sites contributes positively to the learning process. Teacher activities fall into the “good” category, reflected in planning, material delivery, and integration of features such as text, images, videos, hyperlinks, and online worksheets. Student activities are also categorized as good, indicated by active engagement, digital literacy, discussion participation, and independent navigation of content. Student learning outcomes improved, with most learners achieving scores above the minimum KKTP of 75% and demonstrating better understanding of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. The study concludes that Google Sites is an effective digital learning medium that enhances engagement and learning outcomes in the “Getting to Know Our Earth” IPAS topic.

Abstract

Abstrak Walimat al-’urs merupakan salah satu tradisi penting dalam pelaksanaan pernikahan umat Islam yang memiliki dimensi hukum, sosial, dan religius. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep walimat al-’urs menurut Wahbah az-Zuhaili sebagaimana tertuang dalam karyanya Al-Fiqh al-Islām wa Adillatuhu, serta mengkaji relevansinya dengan hukum perkawinan di Indonesia, khususnya Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974 dan Kompilasi Hukum Islam (KHI). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan normatif-yuridis melalui studi pustaka terhadap sumber-sumber fikih klasik dan kontemporer. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Wahbah az-Zuhaili memandang walimat al-’urs sebagai sunnah mu’akkadah yang berfungsi menegaskan keabsahan pernikahan, menumbuhkan rasa syukur, dan memperkuat relasi sosial dalam masyarakat. Konsep ini memiliki titik temu dengan hukum positif Indonesia yang mengakui walimah sebagai bagian dari praktik sosial keagamaan, meskipun tidak diatur secara normatif. Dengan demikian, walimat al-’urs dapat dipahami sebagai instrumen penguatan nilai-nilai spiritual dan sosial dalam institusi perkawinan Islam.

Abstract

The digital transformation of Indonesian education post-pandemic has accelerated the integration of gamification as an innovative learning strategy in elementary schools. However, a critical gap persists between gamification implementation and teachers' digital pedagogical readiness, hindering deep learning optimization. This systematic literature review aims to analyze the role of digital pedagogical readiness in optimizing gamification for deep learning within Indonesian elementary education context. Using PRISMA framework, 28 peer-reviewed articles from Google Scholar, SINTA, DOAJ, ERIC, and ScienceDirect (2018-2025) were systematically analyzed through thematic analysis and CASP quality assessment. Findings reveal that Indonesian elementary school teachers' digital pedagogical readiness remains varied, with technological competence being the dominant factor affecting gamification effectiveness. A significant positive correlation exists between teachers' digital pedagogical readiness and gamification success in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. Cultural-contextual gamification strategies integrating local values show superior effectiveness compared to generic approaches. The study recommends a TPACK-based teacher training model integrated with Merdeka Mengajar Platform and phased implementation strategies considering infrastructure disparities. These findings provide practical implications for policymakers, school leaders, and teachers to optimize digital transformation in Indonesian elementary education through holistic readiness enhancement and culturally-responsive gamification design.

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the holistic strategy implementation of Pencak Silat extracurricular as a best practice model for character building at SMP YPS Prabumulih. Amidst the contemporary challenges of adolescent moral degradation, this research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of traditional martial arts in instilling integrity and discipline. Adopting a qualitative methodology with a descriptive case study design, the primary focus is to explore the deep internalization of self-control values that are systematically aligned with the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews involving source triangulation, including high-achieving students, professional certified coaches, and parents to ensure an objective perspective. Furthermore, participatory observation was conducted to validate the consistency of students' daily behavior within the school environment. The results indicate that the program functions as a highly effective pedagogical instrument through the exemplary conduct (modeling) of coaches and routine habituation, which successfully transfers the noble values and philosophy of Pencak Silat into students' daily conduct organically. The success indicators of this implementation strategy are confirmed by significant positive behavioral changes, enhanced mental resilience, and notable non-academic achievements at the regional level. This study concludes that integrating local wisdom into school activities can serve as a superior model for developing interest-based and character-focused curricula. These findings provide practical contributions for educational institutions in designing extracurricular programs that are oriented not only toward physical agility but also toward the sustainable development of students' personality and noble character.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of 16 third-grade students at UPT SDN 007 Sipungguk in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings with planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that before the intervention, only 6 students (37.5%) achieved learning completeness. After the Reciprocal Teaching model was applied in Cycle I Meeting I, there were 7 students (43.7%) who achieved completeness, then increased to 9 students (56.2%) in Meeting II. In Cycle II Meeting I, the number of students who achieved mastery increased to 11 (68.7%), and in Meeting II, it increased further to 13 students (81.2%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the Reciprocal Teaching model can help improve students' reading comprehension skills.
