Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

The purpose of this study was to assess the role of epistemology in the teaching methods of Pancasila and Citizenship Education teachers at SMPN 1 MATARAM. The research used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. There are three techniques used in the information collection process, namely interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects of the study were PPKN teachers at SMPN 1 MATARAM. The results of the study show that the epistemology of Pancasila and Citizenship Education teachers in the context of online learning at this school consists of several aspects, namely: (1) The Impact of Teachers' Epistemological Understanding on the Effectiveness of Online Learning at SMPN 1 Mataram in the Context of Pancasila and Citizenship Education, (2) The Significance of Teachers' Epistemological Understanding in Developing Online Learning Methods that are Responsive to Changes in the Digital Era, (3) The Role of Teachers' Epistemology in Pancasila and Citizenship Education in the Context of Online Learning.

Creative thinking skills are essential for elementary school students to face the challenges of the rapidly advancing and increasingly complex 21st century. However, the low level of students' creative thinking abilities, especially in science learning, has become a pressing issue that requires immediate attention. This problem not only affects students' understanding of science concepts but also diminishes the meaning and effectiveness of learning. This study aims to identify the extent of students' creative thinking abilities in science learning and explore solutions to enhance these skills, making learning more meaningful and delivering optimal outcomes.

The Baduy community is an indigenous group known for their simple way of life and strong adherence to tradition amidst the waves of modernization. This study aims to understand how the Baduy people sustain their livelihood systems and economic wisdom while adapting to changing times without losing their cultural identity. This research employs a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with community leaders and members, direct observation of daily activities, and a review of related literature. The findings reveal that the Baduy people rely on activities such as slash-and-burn farming, gardening, and traditional handicraft-making, all conducted with sustainability principles and respect for nature. Their economic wisdom is reflected in a modest lifestyle, bartering practices, and minimal reliance on money. However, external influences, such as trade and tourism, are beginning to impact their community. In conclusion, the Baduy community has successfully preserved their traditions in their livelihood and economic systems while gradually adapting to change. This study highlights the importance of balancing modernization with cultural preservation as a key to sustaining their identity.

The problem in this study is the low reading comprehension ability of fifth grade students of UPTD SDN 229 Pinrang, especially in the subject of Indonesian. This study aims to determine the improvement of the learning process and students' reading comprehension ability through the application of the Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) Learning Method. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with the type of research, namely classroom action research (PTK). Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, tests and documentation. The subjects of the study were teachers and fifth grade students totaling 12 students consisting of 8 female students and 4 male students. The study was conducted in two cycles, in cycle I the results of the study on the learning process were in sufficient qualification (C) and the results of the evaluation test were in sufficient qualification (C). Cycle II the results of the study on the learning process were in good qualification (B) and the results of the evaluation test were in good qualification (B). The conclusion in this study is that the application of the Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (PQ4R) learning method can improve the learning process and reading comprehension ability of fifth grade students of UPTD SDN 229 Pinrang.

Character education is an important aspect in forming quality individuals, especially amidst the complex challenges that arise in the digital era. In this context, a character education approach based on local wisdom offers relevant and holistic solutions in dealing with current strategic issues. This research explores the importance of integrating local values into character education as a way to strengthen cultural identity, improve social and moral skills, and face complex social challenges in the digital era. Through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, this research identified that local wisdom-based character education requires strong support from various stakeholders, including teachers, parents, schools, and local communities. Collaboration between educational institutions and local communities is key to ensuring the relevance of local values to current social and economic needs. The results of this research provide insight into how character education based on local wisdom can be an effective strategy in preparing the younger generation to face the challenges of the times and build a better future.

This study aims to analyze the influence of the implementation of project-based learning models in improving environmental literacy, green behavior, and environmental awareness among third-grade students at SDN Warnasari Elementary School. Through the "My Trash, My Treasure" project, students were invited to understand the concept of waste sorting, identify types of waste, and practice waste sorting in school and home environments. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of waste sorting and an increase in green behavior in carrying out waste sorting. The factors that support the success of this learning model include student motivation, teacher support, the availability of facilities, and parental involvement. The challenges faced and the proposed solutions are also discussed in this study.

This article discusses the transformation of principal leadership through acoaching approach, with the aim of building an effective learning community.The methodology used is a literature study, which aims to explore the role ofcoaching in improving principal leadership. The main focus of this researchis to analyze relevant coaching theories and practices and their impact on thedevelopment of learning communities in the school environment. Through acomprehensive literature review, the article identifies key elements ofcoaching that can enhance leadership effectiveness. These includeimproving interpersonal skills, developing a shared vision and creating acollaborative learning environment. The results of this study show that theapplication of coaching not only strengthens the principal's ability to lead, butalso contributes to the formation of a more dynamic learning community thatis responsive to the needs of students and teachers. Fokusutama penelitian ini adalah menganalisis teori dan praktik pembinaan yang relevanserta dampaknya terhadap pengembangan komunitas belajar di lingkungansekolah. Melalui tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif, artikel ini mengidentifikasielemen-elemen kunci dari pembinaan yang dapat meningkatkan efektivitaskepemimpinan. Ini termasuk meningkatkan keterampilan interpersonal,mengembangkan visi bersama dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar kolaboratif.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembinaan tidak hanyamemperkuat kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam memimpin, namun jugaberkontribusi terhadap terbentuknya komunitas belajar yang lebih dinamis dantanggap terhadap kebutuhan siswa dan guru. The Baduy Luar community, as one of Indonesia's indigenous groups, is struggling to preserve their cultural identity amidst the rapid pace of modernization. This article delves into how the unique social structure of the Baduy Luar, rooted in traditional values and customary leadership, serves as a bulwark against the erosion of their cultural heritage. This research examines the central role of traditional leaders such as the Puun and Jaro in balancing the demands of modernity with the preservation of ancestral values. Through an in-depth analysis of the community's internal dynamics and interactions with the outside world, this article reveals the adaptive strategies adopted by the Baduy Luar to confront the challenges of globalization. Furthermore, this article discusses the external challenges faced by the Baduy Luar community, including natural resource exploitation, infrastructure development, and the impact of tourism. By understanding the complexities of the issues faced by the Baduy Luar, this article offers policy recommendations that can support efforts to preserve their culture and promote sustainable development in the region.

This article discusses the analysis of the technological and living equipment of the Baduy Luar community, an indigenous community in Banten Province, Indonesia. This research aims to identify and understand how traditional technology, such as agricultural tools, food processing systems, and daily equipment, contributes to the sustainability of the lives of the Outer Baduy community. This research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods to understand in depth the technological systems and living equipment of the Outer Baduy community. This method was chosen because it is able to explore cultural meanings and social practices in the context of everyday life. The research location was carried out in the Kanekes area, Lebak Regency, Banten, with a focus on villages inhabited by the Outer Baduy community. Data was collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The research results show that the Outer Baduy people rely on simple, environmentally friendly technology, which not only meets their daily needs but also preserves their cultural values. Apart from that, the adaptation of modern technology is hampered by local wisdom and deeply held social norms. These findings provide an important perspective for developing policies that respect local wisdom in facing modernization.

Digital transformation in education is an urgent need to improve the efficiency and quality of administrative services. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Hayatverse application as a management information system in improving the quality of education administration services. The research method used is qualitative with a direct observation approach and semi-structured interviews. Observations were conducted to understand how the application is used in the daily context, while interviews were conducted with parents and teachers as the main users of the application. The results show that the Hayatverse application is able to provide various benefits, including simplifying student data management, speeding up administrative processes, and increasing transparency and user involvement. Parents appreciate the app's features that make it easy to access their children's academic information, while teachers find it efficient in administrative and reporting tasks. However, challenges in implementing the app include the need for user training and upgrading the technology infrastructure in schools. In conclusion, the Hayatverse app has great potential to support digital transformation in education, especially in improving the quality of administrative services. Recommendations include developing features that are more responsive to user needs, improving data security, and a comprehensive training strategy.
