Abstract

This development research aims to: (1) Identify the need for documentary films at SMA Negeri 10 Bulukumb. (2) Designing a documentary film at SMA Negeri 10 Bulukumba. (3) What is the level of validity & practicality of documentary films at SMA Negeri 10 Bulukumba. This research uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development method. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 10 Bulukumba with a total of 30 students and 1 subject teacher as research subjects. The product trial was designed to consist of an alpha test carried out by 2 experts, namely a media expert who obtained an average score of very good qualifications and a content/material expert who obtained an average score of very good qualifications so that the documentary film could be tested in the field. To find out the practicality and beta test which was carried out through a small group test, the average score was found to be in the practical qualifications, while the large group test obtained an average of very practical qualifications and the results of the subject teachers' responses were in the very practical qualifications. This means that it can be stated that the Kajang Tribe documentary film as a medium for learning local wisdom is very practical to use in the learning process, especially local wisdom. This development research has resulted in a documentary film product that is suitable for use in the learning process at SMA Negeri 10 Bulukumba.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between discipline and professional competence in the performance of elementary school teachers in Tarumajaya District, Bekasi Regency. The study population involved 431 teachers from 26 public elementary schools, and the sample was determined using a cluster random sampling technique of 138 teachers. This study uses a quantitative approach with regression analysis to identify the influence of independent variables, namely discipline and professional competence, on the dependent variable, namely teacher performance. The results of the study showed a significant positive relationship between discipline and teacher performance (R = 0.673) and professional competence and teacher performance (R = 0.879). The combination of discipline and professional competence explained 77.2% of the variation in teacher performance (R² = 0.772). These results emphasize the importance of discipline in creating an organized learning environment and professionalism in improving teaching effectiveness. This study provides important implications for developing educational policies, especially in the training and developing teacher discipline and professional competence. Investment in these two aspects is expected to significantly improve teacher performance, support the achievement of educational goals, and improve the quality of student learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges faced by teachers and students in implementing the inquiry-based learning model at the elementary school level. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing direct observation, document analysis such as lesson plans, and field notes. The research was conducted in a single elementary school classroom at SDN Panjangjaya 1 to limit the scope of the study. The research focus encompassed both students and teachers, considering the latter as facilitators. The findings reveal that the main challenges for teachers include limited time for preparation and implementation of the inquiry method, as well as difficulties in designing relevant questions that stimulate students' curiosity. For students, the primary challenges consist of limited critical thinking skills, difficulty understanding complex problems, and low motivation for independent learning. This study concludes that implementing inquiry-based learning in mathematics at the elementary level requires additional support, such as teacher training and method adaptation according to students' proficiency levels. The findings provide valuable insights into the implementation of inquiry-based learning in elementary schools

Abstract

This study aims to understand the implementation of pedagogy from the perspectives of teachers and students and its impact on learning quality. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, the research was conducted in several secondary schools selected based on student diversity and the adoption of pedagogical innovations by teachers. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, then analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. The findings reveal that student-centered learning strategies enhance student motivation and engagement, while the use of educational technology positively impacts the learning process. However, challenges such as limited facilities and the need for individual student guidance remain significant. This study highlights the importance of pedagogical innovations relevant to student needs in the digital era to improve education quality.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Utilization of Instagram Technology in the PAI Learning Program: Innovative Strategies for Curriculum Development. The utilization of learning media technology with Instagram is designed to provide an innovation in PAI learning so that it can adapt to the current developments with the aim of having a major impact on the success of PAI learning in achieving the expected goals and also influencing curriculum development. With the library research method, namely the method of collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various literature or references. Data collection is carried out by searching for sources and constructing information from various sources, such as books, journals, and existing research. So that the journal on the utilization of Instagram technology in the PAI learning program: innovative strategies in curriculum development can be compiled.

Abstract

The Baduy tribe, located in Banten Province, is one of the traditional communities in Indonesia which has a unique social and community organization system. This research aims to describe in depth the social organization system of the Outer Baduy Tribe, including the organizational structure, the relationship between the Kajaroan in Outer Baduy and the government, as well as the social structure. The main focus covers aspects of social life ranging from marriage, death, to customary sanctions for violations of customary norms. This research approach uses a literature review method by analyzing various literature sources, in the form of books, journal articles and other documents relevant to the study of the social organization of the Baduy Luar community. The research results show that the social organizational structure of the Outer Baduy Tribe is divided into certain levels with roles that are defined by custom. The relationship between the Kajaroan in Outer Baduy and the government is coordinative but still maintains their cultural independence. The social order is regulated by binding customary rules, starting from simple marriage procedures, sacred death ceremonies, to the imposition of customary sanctions for violators of norms as an effort to maintain community harmony. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the wider community's understanding of the rich social and cultural systems of the Baduy Tribe, as well as becoming an important reference for efforts to preserve traditional values ​​in the modern era. Thus, this study provides new insights into the sustainability of local culture amidst changing times.

Abstract

One of the educational innovations that has improved student learning outcomes, particularly in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) topics in elementary schools, is the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach. The purpose of this essay is to examine how the STEM approach affects the scientific learning results of elementary school pupils. By examining numerous empirical papers released between 2022 and 2024, this study employs a literature review methodology. The study's findings demonstrate that applying the STEM method can improve students' enthusiasm to learn, critical thinking abilities, and conceptual understanding. Additionally, through project-based learning, this method aids pupils in fostering their creativity and teamwork. This article suggests that elementary schools adopt a STEM curriculum widely in order to promote 21st century learning and develop a generation that is prepared to take on problems.

Abstract

The Baduy community is one of the traditional groups in Indonesia which still maintains its traditions and customs. Divided into two large groups, namely Inner Baduy and Outer Baduy, this community has a religious and ritual system that is an integral part of their lives. This religious system is rooted in the Sundanese Wiwitan belief which teaches harmony with nature, respect for ancestors and devotion to the Creator. Ceremonies such as Seba Baduy, Kawalu, Ngaruat, and Seren Taun become media for expressing the spiritual, social, and ecological values ​​of the Outer Baduy community. This article aims to describe the religious system and religious ceremonies of the Outer Baduy community based on recent studies, with a focus on philosophical values ​​and their relevance in modern life. This research uses a qualitative approach based on literature studies from various scientific sources in 2022-2024. The research results show that the traditions and rituals of the Outer Baduy community are not only cultural heritage but also contribute to the preservation of universal values ​​that are relevant to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

One important way to maintain the cultural identity of a community is to maintain its language. In the midst of the challenges of modernization and the influence of the Indonesian language, this article discusses how the Baduy community maintains language as an important part of their local wisdom. This research conducted qualitative research involving observations and interviews with jaro and members of the Outer Baduy community. The results show that Sundanese Baduy language not only functions as a means of communication but also functions to maintain traditional values and beliefs. But the Outer Baduy community, which interacts more frequently with the outside world, is starting to become aware of external influences. Oral teaching passed down from generation to generation, customary prohibitions, and the Puun's role as custodians of tradition are strategies for maintaining the language. According to this research, language not only functions as a symbol of identity but also helps people live together in traditional communities. These findings will provide insight into efforts to preserve other languages in the area.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' interest in learning at SDN Kadubungbang 1 using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation to explore the factors that influence student interest. The research results show that student interest increases when learning uses varied methods, interactive media, and involves creative activities such as group projects or the use of teaching aids. On the other hand, monotonous learning methods such as lectures tend to reduce students' interest in learning. The role of the teacher is also an important factor, where a supportive and interactive approach is proven to be effective in generating motivation to learn. Apart from that, a conducive learning environment also supports student involvement in learning. The conclusions of this research indicate the need to implement learning strategies that are innovative, relevant and oriented towards student interests to improve the quality of learning.
