Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to determine the principal's instructional leadership, the quality of teacher teaching, and the influence of the principal's instructional leadership on the quality of teacher teaching at the UPT of Public Elementary School 064998, Medan City. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory method. The sample population and this study were all 30 teachers at the UPT of Public Elementary School 064998, Medan City, so the sampling technique used was total sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through simple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that the principal's instructional leadership is in the high category, while the quality of teacher teaching is in the good category. The results of the regression analysis indicate that the principal's instructional leadership has a positive and significant influence on the quality of teacher teaching. The principal's instructional leadership contributes 50.0% to the variation in teacher teaching quality, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside this study. The findings of this study confirm that strengthening the role of the principal as a learning leader is an important strategy in improving the quality of teacher teaching in elementary schools.

This study aims to analyze the use of code-mixing in WhatsApp conversations among Padang State University students, both with fellow students and with lecturers, and its relationship to language preservation. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data in the form of written utterances in WhatsApp conversations. Data collection was conducted through screenshots and copies of conversations (chats) containing elements of code-mixing. The results of this study indicate that the dominant code-mixing used is external code-mixing in the form of English, such as "time," "list," and "deadline," as well as internal code-mixing involving regional languages. The use of code-mixing is influenced by language habits, practicality, and the influence of digital technology. This phenomenon has the potential to impact the preservation of Indonesian and regional languages if not accompanied by good language awareness.

The 15-minute reading activity before classroom instruction is an effort to improve reading interest and literacy skills among elementary school students. This study aims to describe the implementation and impact of the 15-minute reading activity before learning sessions at SDN Kedungbanteng 2. A descriptive qualitative method was employed using observation and brief reflection techniques. The research subjects included students from grades 1 to 6, accompanied by community service (KKN) students. The results indicate that the 15-minute reading activity effectively increases students’ reading interest, reading habits, and reading comprehension. In addition, the activity creates a more conducive classroom atmosphere and enhances students’ readiness for learning. Consistent reading habituation contributes to the development of a school literacy culture and positive character traits, such as discipline, focus, and responsibility. Therefore, the 15-minute reading activity is effective and relevant as part of the implementation of the School Literacy Movement in elementary schools.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model assisted by Thinker's Track media on reading comprehension skills. The research method used is a quantitative method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was all students of SDN Candigaron. The research sample was class III of SDN Candigaron 03 as the experimental class and class III of SDN Candigaron 02 as the control class. The data collection techniques used were tests through pre-tests and post-tests as well as non-test techniques including observation questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was performed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that there was a difference in the use of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model assisted by Thinker 's Track media on reading comprehension skills. This is indicated by a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 in the Independent Sample T Test, which shows that there is a difference in the quality of learning between the experimental and control classes. The mean score of the experimental class was 85.75, which was much higher than the mean score of the control class, which was 66.14. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model assisted by Thinker's Track media has a positive effect on reading comprehension skills.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of santri at Dayah Terpadu Al-Muslimun, which covers four main pillars: admission and selection systems, santri guidance and development services, monitoring and evaluation of development, and alumni management and contribution networks. The approach used is qualitative with a case study research type, through interviews, observation, and documentation of caregivers, musyrif/musyrifah, santri, and alumni. The results of the study show that the student admission system is digital-based and applies the principles of transparency and accountability; guidance services are implemented holistically, covering spiritual, academic, character, and digital literacy aspects; monitoring and evaluation are carried out collaboratively but still require standard instruments; while the alumni network plays an active role in supporting the strengthening of the institution's reputation and sustainability. The research conclusion confirms that santri management at Dayah Terpadu Al-Muslimun has been effective andintegrated, combining Islamic values with modern quality-based management principles.These results are expected to serve as a reference model for developing santri management systems in other Islamic educational institutions.

Plastic waste, especially bottle caps, is a crucial environmental problem in school environments. Although the Adiwiyata Program has been implemented, obstacles are often encountered in the form of a lack of applicable, interesting, and educational waste management innovations for students. This study aims to develop and evaluate innovations in managing used bottle caps into multipurpose items (sorting trash cans and tissue boxes) as a real contribution towards Adiwiyata Schools. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method involving four main stages: (1) problem identification through interviews and observations; (2) collection of raw materials and designing a participatory design with the theme "Watermelon"; (3) product fabrication with student involvement; and (4) implementation, socialization, and evaluation. The results of the study showed that from 2,400 used bottle caps (8.2 kg), 6 units of sorting trash cans and 10 units of tissue boxes were successfully produced. The utilization rate of new trash cans reached 85% with waste sorting accuracy increasing from 45% to 72%. Students' understanding of the upcycling concept increased significantly, from 20% to 88%. This innovation has proven effective as both an infrastructure and an educational tool, strengthening the four pillars of the Adiwiyata program. In conclusion, transforming used bottle caps into functional products through a participatory approach and attractive design is an effective strategy for addressing the plastic waste problem while strengthening environmental character education in schools, in accordance with circular economy principles.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kualitas pembelajaran di SDN Dukuhringin 01 akibat beban administratif guru yang berat dan kurangnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital sebagai instrumen refleksi. Masalah utama yang diidentifikasi adalah proses refleksi pedagogis yang belum maksimal dan penggunaan metode mengajar yang repetitif. Sebagai solusi, dikembangkan aplikasi jurnal mengajar digital bernama "Si Padam Ajar" untuk mengintegrasikan desain pedagogis, kemitraan belajar, dan lingkungan digital dalam satu platform. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengamati bagaimana guru melakukan inkuiri kolaboratif melalui fitur-fitur aplikasi seperti Forum Diskusi, Fitur Supervisi, dan Materi Belajar Mandiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi melalui "Si Padam Ajar" berhasil mentransformasi budaya kerja guru dari sekadar menyelesaikan tugas administratif menjadi praktik reflektif yang mendalam. Guru mulai mengadopsi model Deep Learning dan memanfaatkan sumber daya digital secara optimal. Transformasi digital ini tidak hanya menyederhanakan birokrasi, tetapi juga meningkatkan antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif murid dalam proses pembelajaran yang lebih personal dan adaptif. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan platform digital seperti 'Si Padam Ajar' sebagai instrumen standar bagi sekolah dasar untuk memitigasi beban administrasi sekaligus memperkuat budaya refleksi guru secara berkelanjutan. Implementasi teknologi ini diharapkan menjadi model transformasi manajerial yang dapat direplikasi di tingkat sekolah lain guna mewujudkan ekosistem Deep Learning yang adaptif dan berpusat pada murid.

The development of digital technology has driven changes in dance learning practices, particularly in the use of media and learning strategies that are more adaptive to student characteristics. However, various studies related to digital technology-based dance learning still tend to be fragmented and focus on the use of specific media separately, thus not providing a complete picture of the pedagogical function of technology in dance learning. This article aims to analyze and map various forms of digital technology and their pedagogical functions in the development of dance learning, particularly in the context of elementary education. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining scientific articles relevant to the topic of digital technology-based dance learning. The results of the study indicate that visual digital media plays a role in supporting the understanding of movement structure and details, online learning platforms facilitate learning management and reflection, interactive applications increase engagement and personalization of practice, and social media opens up space for creative expression and collaborative appreciation. The integration of various forms of digital technology shows that dance learning becomes more effective when technology is designed in an integrated manner and aligned with the learning objectives and characteristics of movement-based learning. These findings provide conceptual implications for the development of dance arts learning designs that are more systemic, adaptive to technological developments, and still uphold the values of creativity and aesthetic experiences of students.

This study aims to describe the use of digital comics as an the learning motivation of third-grade students on cultural topics. This study was caused by the lack of student learning motivation influenced by the limitations of learning media and the still dominant use of lecture methods in learning activities. Digital comics were chosen because they can present cultural material through illustrated stories that are interesting, contextual, and easy to understand for elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study findings indicate that the use of digital comics can increase students' interest, enthusiasm, and active participation in learning cultural topics. Students appeared more focused, motivated to read, and more easily mastered the concepts presented. Therefore, digital comics can be used as a good learning medium to increase the learning motivation of third-grade students, especially in cultural concepts

Education is a crucial aspect that must be continuously improved to achieve national goals and the advancement of knowledge. Therefore, teacher professionalism also needs to be enhanced in order to produce intelligent and creative students. One effort that can be made is by implementing creative learning models that are appropriate to the learning materials and students’ needs. This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 175786 Siambaton, as indicated by their daily test scores. This research employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest–posttest design. To identify students’ initial abilities, a pretest was administered, resulting in an average score of 62.67. The results showed that the implementation of the Creative Problem Solving learning model had an effect on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 175786 Siambaton and was categorized as good, with an average posttest score of 78.0. The correlation test results indicated a correlation coefficient of 0.692, meaning that rcalculated (0.692) > rtable (0.361); therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Furthermore, the t-test results showed that tcalculated > ttable , namely 5.707 > 1.697. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant effect of the Creative Problem Solving learning model on Mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 175786 Siambaton in the 2024/2025 academic year.
