Abstract

This article explores the application of deep learning principles to strengthen students’ mindfulness in instructional settings. The study addresses the problem of limited learner awareness and the dominance of surface-level learning in classroom practices. The purpose is to examine how conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and reflective engagement within deep learning can enhance students’ focused attention, emotional regulation, and conscious awareness. Using a literature review method, this article synthesizes theoretical perspectives and previous research to analyze the relationship between deep learning and mindfulness. The findings indicate that deep learning environments foster reflective thinking, intentional engagement, and meaningful knowledge integration, which collectively support the development of mindfulness skills. The review concludes that implementing deep learning principles can significantly improve both cognitive and affective aspects of learning, leading to more conscious and holistic learning experiences.

Abstract

The issue examined in this study is "how is the implementation of the pancasila student profile strengthening project carried out in state elementary schools in Gorontalo Regency?". The objective of this study is to describe the implementation of the pancasila student profile strengthening project in state elementary schools in Gorontalo Regency. This research employed a qualitative method, with observation and interviews as the data collection techniques. The data analysis technique used was qualitative analysis. The results of the study show that the implementation of the pancasila student profile strengthening project in state elementary schools in Gorontalo Regency has been carried out effectively. This is evident from the planning, implementation, achievement outcomes, evaluation, and follow-up stages of the project. Therefore, it is recommended that it order to achieve optimal results, the implementation of the pancasila student profile strengthening project must be supported by strong collaboration and cooperation between school principal, teachers, parents students, the Department of Education, and the wider Community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Indonesian Standard QR Code (QRIS) in increasing the enthusiasm for Islamic banking services in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in Padangsidimpuan City. QRIS, as an integrated digital payment system, is expected to expand access to Islamic financial services in an inclusive and efficient manner. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of MSMEs and Islamic banks. The results show that the implementation of QRIS improves transaction efficiency, accelerates payment processes, and increases MSMEs' trust in Islamic financial services. In addition, digitalization through QRIS also encourages financial inclusion and strengthens the local Islamic economic ecosystem. However, challenges remain in network infrastructure, and technology adaptation for some business actors. This study recommends intensive training and synergy between local governments, Islamic financial institutions, and MSMEs to maximize the use of QRIS in developing the Islamic economy at Padangsidimpuan City

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT) Curriculum in collaboration with the Merdeka Curriculum in improving the quality of education at Al Izzah Integrated Islamic Private High School. The study used qualitative methods with observation, interviews, and documentation techniques with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, and teachers. The results showed that the curriculum implementation at Al Izzah IT High School was carried out through three main aspects: planning, implementation, and assessment. In the planning stage, teachers are required to develop learning tools that integrate the learning outcomes of the Merdeka Curriculum with the Islamic values contained in the JSIT Curriculum. In the implementation stage, learning begins with habituation of worship such as prayer, reading Al-Matsurat, and linking material to verses of the Qur’an and hadith. In addition, the school also develops flagship programs such as Tahfidz and Tahsin Al-Qur’an, mentoring and extracurricular sunnah (archery). In the assessment stage, teachers assess students holistically covering academic aspects, attitudes, discipline, and religiosity. The implementation of this curriculum has been proven to be able to improve the academic quality, Islamic character, and social competence of students so that the school’s vision, namely to form an Islamic, superior, and globally-minded generation, can be achieved.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the results of interviews, observations, and questionnaires administered to fourth-grade students of SDK Sengkan. The findings indicated that students’ empathy character was generally categorized as low, and learning outcomes on equivalent fractions had not met the school’s Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP) of 66.00. Therefore, this research aimed to improve students’ empathy character and learning outcomes through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in equivalent fraction material. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) involving fourth-grade students of SDK Sengkan in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. Both quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques were applied. Based on the analysis of the research findings, it can be concluded that: (1) the Problem Based Learning model effectively enhanced students’ empathy character and learning outcomes through five learning phases, namely orientation, organizing students for learning, guiding investigation, presenting data, and analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process; (2) students’ average empathy character scores improved from 48.46 (low) in the initial condition to 56.84 (fair) in Cycle I and 79.20 (high) in Cycle II. Meanwhile, the average learning outcomes increased from 63.80 in the initial condition to 65.33 in Cycle I and 72.52 in Cycle II; (3) the application of the PBL model was moderately effective, as indicated by an N-gain score of 0.5934 (59.34%) for empathy character and 0.7111 (71.10%) for learning outcomes. Abstract

Teacher performance is a crucial factor in improving educational quality, particularly in private vocational schools managed by foundations. Although many studies have identified factors influencing teacher performance, few provide practical and prioritized strategies for improvement. This study aims to develop an optimal strategy for improving teacher performance using Scientific Identification Theory to Conduct Operation Research in Education Management (SITOREM) analysis. A quantitative survey was conducted involving 156 foundation-employed teachers from private vocational schools in Pontianak City, Indonesia. The study examined organizational climate, teacher empowerment, work motivation, ICT effectiveness, and teacher performance. SITOREM analysis was applied to identify priority indicators that require immediate improvement and indicators that should be maintained. The results show that several indicators related to leadership support, teacher participation in decision-making, motivational reinforcement, and ICT utilization are strategic priorities for improvement. This study offers practical contributions for school management by translating empirical findings into actionable and prioritized improvement strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesian language learning for class X at SMK Negeri 2 Sarolangun, focusing on planning, implementation, as well as identifying obstacles and supporting factors. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the school principal and Indonesian language teacher, and documentation analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Findings reveal that curriculum planning remains at the initial stage, characterized by high dependency on standardized modules from the Ministry without significant local contextualization. However, implementation shows developing dynamics, particularly in assessment integration and teacher reflection. Major obstacles include infrastructure limitations specifically three-year electrical failures in several classrooms and limited teacher capacity due to insufficient training. The primary supporting factor is teacher resilience, exemplified by proactive adaptation such as utilizing the Computer Laboratory as an alternative facility during power outages. The study concludes that implementation at SMK Negeri 2 Sarolangun represents creative adaptation where human agency (teacher dedication) compensates for physical and administrative infrastructure limitations.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in improving the Qur’an reading ability of seventh-grade students at State Junior High School 16 Jambi City, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The background of this research is based on the fact that there are still students who have not been able to read the Qur’an fluently in accordance with the rules of tajwid, makhārijul huruf, and reading fluency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources include Islamic Religious Education teachers, seventh-grade students, and school administrators. The results show that the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers to improve students’ Qur’an reading ability are carried out through habituation of Qur’an reading before lessons, the application of tilawah and tahsin methods, providing special guidance for students who are not yet fluent, and using interesting learning media. Supporting factors include support from the school, student motivation, and a religious school environment. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of limited instructional time, differences in students’ basic abilities, and a lack of support from the family environment. Therefore, the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers is crucial in improving students’ Qur’an reading ability through appropriate and continuous learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the emotional forms of autistic children and their handling by caregivers at the Bina Grahita Tuban Social Rehabilitation Unit. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to understand the emotional experiences of autistic children in everyday life. The subject of the study was a 15-year-old autistic child living at the Bina Grahita Tuban Social Rehabilitation Unit, while the informants consisted of three caregivers directly involved in the mentoring process. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was tested using technical triangulation. The results showed that autistic children displayed emotions of anger, anxiety, and joy in various situations. These emotions were triggered by changes in routine, differences in food portions, the removal of favorite items, and crowded environmental conditions. Children expressed emotions primarily through nonverbal behavior and responses due to limited verbal communication. Emotional management was carried out individually and situationally through reducing environmental stimuli, calm and patient mentoring, and temporary placement in a quieter room with supervision. This study concludes that handling the emotions of autistic children requires an understanding of the child's characteristics, patience, and consistent and continuous support.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the banking sector has enhanced the efficiency of financial services while simultaneously increasing the risk of data-driven banking crimes. Customers’ personal data have become both the object and the primary means of various criminal activities, such as identity theft, phishing, and misuse of financial information. This condition necessitates robust personal data protection as an integral part of the banking legal system. This article aims to analyze the concept of personal data protection in the context of banking crimes, examine the legal framework governing personal data protection in the Indonesian banking sector, and explain the urgency of personal data protection as a legal instrument for preventing banking crimes. The research employs a normative legal method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that Law Number 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection strengthens the principle of bank secrecy and functions as both a preventive and repressive legal instrument in addressing data-based banking crimes. Personal data protection plays a crucial role not only in safeguarding customers’ rights but also in maintaining public trust and the stability of the national banking system.
