Abstract

This study was motivated by the decline in morality among the younger generation. The novel Wong Wadon Dinarsih by Tamsir A.S. contains many moral values that can be studied and applied in everyday life. This study aims to describe the structure and moral values in the novel Wong Wadon Dinarsih by Tamsir A.S. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study technique. The source of data for this study is the novel Wong Wadon Dinarsih by Tamsir A.S. The research data consists of quotations and sentences that contain the structure of the novel and moral values in the novel Wong Wadon Dinarsih by Tamsir A.S. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are (1) the structure that builds the novel includes the plot, characters and characterization, setting, and point of view in the novel Wong Wadon Dinarsih by Tamsir A.S. (2) the moral values contained in the novel include humans with themselves, humans with other humans, and humans with God.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model in Islamic Religious Education for class VIII.C at SMPN 1 Lambu, Bima Regency. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 23 students. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicated that the implementation of the TGT model significantly improved students’ learning activities and outcomes. In Cycle I, learning mastery had not yet reached the predetermined success indicators; therefore, improvements were made in Cycle II. In Cycle II, learning mastery increased to 86.96% with an average score of 87.08, categorized as very high. Students’ participation, discipline, enthusiasm, and understanding of the material also showed significant improvement. In conclusion, the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study seeks to create interactive quiz game media with Canva, employing the ADDIE paradigm for addition and subtraction content aimed for second-grade primary pupils, and to evaluate its validity and usability. This study is a research and development endeavor using the five steps of the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study participants were 15 second-grade pupils from SDN Pundong 2 Jombang. The study tools included a media expert validation form and a student practicality questionnaire on a four-point Likert scale (1–4). The data were examined using qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods by calculating the feasibility percentage. The validation findings from three media specialists yielded an average percentage of 85.56%, categorizing it as very practical. The results of the practicality exam, derived from student replies, indicated an average percentage of 75% within the practical area. Indicators of motivation and learning engagement achieved a notable 83%, suggesting that gaming features may enhance students' active involvement in mathematics education. The built interactive quiz game is deemed very realistic and useful for teaching addition and subtraction to second-grade primary students. This medium is anticipated to serve as an alternative to digital learning innovations that enhance students' attention, engagement, and educational experiences in a more pleasurable and significant manner.

Abstract

Speaking skills play an important role in shaping students' communication skills from an early age because they affect self-confidence and the ability to express ideas. However, observations show that elementary school students' speaking skills are still low. This is due to learning that does not make sufficient use of technology and the use of media that is not interactive, so that students easily get bored and lack focus. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of storytelling videos using ventriloquist techniques with hand puppets in Indonesian language learning for second-grade elementary school students. Ventriloquism is the art of speaking without moving the lips, combined with hand puppets, so that the voice seems to come from the puppet. The puppet used is named Lala, a cheerful character who delivers educational messages interactively through a video titled “Painting is My Soul.” This study is a research and development study using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, tests, expert validation sheets, and teacher and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively and quantitatively. The validation results showed that the media obtained a percentage of 91.66% from media experts, 92.85% from material experts, and 100% from language experts with an average of 94.83% categorized as very feasible. The practicality test showed that the media was very feasible.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low numeracy skills of first-grade elementary school students, particularly in basic addition and subtraction operations, due to the lack of interactive and concrete learning media. This study aims to develop a Multi-modal-based Quiet Book as a learning medium for number concepts that is valid, practical, and effective. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of this study were first-grade students at SD Inpres Panaikang II/1. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the Multi-modal Quiet Book was declared "Very Valid" by material experts with a percentage of 91% and media experts with 98%. Practicality tests by teachers reached 100%, and student responses in small and large group trials reached 96% and 97%, respectively. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Multi-modal-based Quiet Book is highly suitable for use as a learning medium to improve the numeracy skills of first-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This research was motivated by issues stemming from a lack of optimal technological innovation and a scarcity of learning resources to assist students. Through this study, the researcher aimed to produce a product, specifically the development of an E-Module integrated with scientific literacy attitudes on the topic of animal reproduction (oviparous, viviparous, and ovoviviparous) for grade 3 students. This research employed the R&D (Research and Development) method and utilized the 4D (Four D) model. The study involved trial subjects consisting of material experts, media experts, language experts, a teacher, and grade 3 students from SDN 5 Tambakasri Malang. Data collection in this research was conducted using instruments in the form of observation sheets, interview guides, and questionnaires. Based on the research results obtained, the feasibility test results from the media expert assessment percentage were 91.17%, which is in the highly feasible category. The percentage of material expert assessment results was 93%, also in the highly feasible category. The percentage of language expert assessment was 89.58%, included in the highly feasible category. Furthermore, the percentage of practicality assessment from the teacher's response was 93.75%, categorized as highly practical. The results obtained from the student questionnaire assessment yielded a percentage of 87.3%, included in the highly practical category. The effectiveness test was obtained with an N-Gain score of 0.64 with an average of 64.75, categorized as "effective. Based on the data obtained in the study, it is concluded that the development of an E-Module based on Liveworksheets integrated with scientific literacy attitudes on animal reproduction material (oviparous, viviparous, and ovoviviparous) is declared feasible and practical, thus suitable for use as teaching material at SDN 5 Tambakasari and other elementary schools.

Abstract

The overarching goal of this study is to investigate how the Discovery Learning paradigm affects the development of critical thinking abilities among primary school pupils as they learn social studies. Ten scholarly journal papers from both nasional and internasional sources that were published over the last five years and included in credible databases were analyzed in this research, which used a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology. Students' critical thinking skills, particularly in areas like information analysis, idea evaluation, and conclusion formulation, are consistently and significantly improved by Discovery Learning, according to the findings. Stages of learning that promote student engagement, meaningful learning, and direct involvement in knowledge production bolster this model's efficacy. Further enhancement of Social Studies education is achieved via the integration of digital media with tangible pedagogical tools and Discovery Learning. Accordingly, to meet the needs of education in the twenty-first century, Discovery Learning is highly suggested as a method of teaching that helps primary school pupils develop their critical thinking abilities. Keywords: Discovery Learning, Critical Thinking, Social Studies Learning Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki bagaimana paradigma Pembelajaran Penemuan (Discovery Learning) memengaruhi pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar saat mereka mempelajari ilmu sosial. Sepuluh makalah jurnal ilmiah dari sumber nasioanal dan internasional yang diterbitkan selama lima tahun terakhir dan termasuk dalam basis data yang kredibel dianalisis dalam penelitian ini, yang menggunakan metodologi Tinjauan Literatur Sistematis SLR. Menurut temuan, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, khususnya di bidang seperti analisis informasi, evaluasi ide, dan perumusan kesimpulan, secara konsisten dan signifikan ditingkatkan oleh Pembelajaran Penemuan. Tahapan pembelajaran yang mendorong keterlibatan siswa, pembelajaran yang bermakna, dan keterlibatan langsung dalam produksi pengetahuan memperkuat efektivitas model ini. Peningkatan lebih pendidikan Ilmu Sosial dicapai melalui integrasi media digital dengan alat pedagogis nyata dan Pembelajaran Penemuan. Dengan demikian, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pendidikan di abad ke-21, Pembelajaran Penemuan sangat disarankan sebagai metode pengajaran yang membantu siswa sekolah dasar mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka. Abstract

Limited learning time with a broad scope of material and the less than optimal use of smartphones as a learning tool cause students to experience difficulties in understanding the science and natural sciences material. Learning that is still dominated by teacher explanations makes learning time less efficient and the material is not conveyed completely, thus impacting low student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the flipped classroom model assisted by Canva interactive media on the science learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at Garot Aceh Besar Elementary School. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type through a nonequivalent control group design. The study population was all sixth-grade students, with class VI-A as the experimental class and VI-B as the control class. Data were collected through learning outcome tests in the form of pretests and posttests, then analyzed using the N-gain test, normality test, and Independent Samples t-Test. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. The Independent Samples t-Test yielded a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of the flipped classroom model with the aid of Canva interactive media on the science learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at Garot State Elementary School, Aceh Besar. Thus, this learning model can be used as an alternative effective science learning strategy with the support of school facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study aimed at determining whether there is an influence of using augmented reality flashcard media based on the TPACK approach on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at Cluster III Amali District, Bone Regency. The approach used in this study is a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study consists of all fourth-grade students at Cluster III Amali, totaling 87 students. The samples in this study consisted of fourth-grade students from UPT SD Inpres 12/17 Mattaropurae totaling 23 students and UPT SD Negeri 131 Tocinnong totaling 20 students selected through purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques include written tests conducted before and after treatment, and observation.Data analysis was conducted descriptively and inferentially using the Independent Sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the use of augmented reality flashcard media based on TPACK is classified as good and can encourage active student engagement during the learning process. Students’ critical thinking skills showed a significant increase after the use of the media. The t-test results showed a significance value of <0.05, thus H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of augmented reality flashcard media based on the TPACK approach has a positive and significant effect on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in fostering independent character among fifth-grade students through the implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) in IPAS subjects at SD Al-Khairiyyah Surabaya. The study is based on the problem that students’ independence has not been optimally developed due to teacher-centered learning practices. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL contributes to the development of students’ self-confidence, responsibility, discipline, and problem-solving skills. However, the formation of independent character is strongly influenced by the teacher’s role in managing student autonomy in a structured and consistent manner throughout the learning process.
