Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students in fractional materials caused by the use of less varied learning media and learning that is still teacher-centered. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of fractional board teaching aids on mathematics learning outcomes and responses of grade IV students of SDN 13 Singkawang. The research method used is experimental research with a pre-experimental design of the one group pretest-posttest type. The research population was all grade IV students with sampling techniques using total sampling. Data collection techniques include tests and questionnaires, while data analysis uses normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that there was a significant difference between learning outcomes before and after the use of fractional board props, indicated by the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 so that an alternative hypothesis was accepted. In addition, students' responses to the use of props showed a very good category with a percentage of 91%. Thus, the use of fractional board teaching aids has a positive effect on improving mathematics learning outcomes in fractional materials and is able to increase student involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

The financing policy for state universities in Indonesia has undergone a strategic transformation through the implementation of the Public Service Agency (BLU) and the Legal Entity State Universities (PTNBH) schemes. Both models are designed to provide financial flexibility, enhance institutional independence, and strengthen the effectiveness of higher education services. This study aims to analyze the differences in the concepts, implementation, and implications of BLU and PTNBH policies on the financing and performance of state universities in the contemporary era. A qualitative approach through literature review was used to obtain a comprehensive overview of various recent research findings. The study results indicate that BLU provides flexibility in managing Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), but its budget allocation is often not optimal to support the overall performance of the institution. Meanwhile, PTNBH provides broader autonomy that has the potential to increase financial independence, but also faces challenges in accountability and equitable access to education. This study provides recommendations for strengthening financial governance to ensure the effectiveness of these two financing models.

Abstract

The acceleration of digital transformation within Islamic educational institutions has significantly increased the need for effective and context-sensitive system development methodologies. The success of digital learning systems is not solely determined by technological infrastructure, but also by the strategic selection of development approaches. This study aims to critically analyze the characteristics of the Waterfall and Agile methodologies and to assess their relevance within Islamic educational institutions. Employing a qualitative design through library research, this study reviews scholarly books and peer-reviewed journal articles published from 2020 onward. The findings indicate that the Waterfall model offers structural clarity, detailed documentation, and strong managerial oversight, making it suitable for relatively stable administrative systems. In contrast, the Agile model promotes flexibility, iterative improvement, and active stakeholder participation, which are essential in dynamic academic environments. Given the formal yet evolving nature of Islamic educational institutions, a hybrid model integrating systematic planning with adaptive development is considered the most appropriate strategy. The study concludes that methodological alignment with institutional culture and human resource readiness is a critical factor in achieving sustainable digital transformation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low early reading skills of children aged 4–6 years at RA Perwanida 2 Palembang, characterized by difficulties in recognizing letters and assembling simple syllables. The primary objective of this study is to determine the significant influence of using the Glenn Doman method on children's early reading abilities. The research method employed is quantitative with a Pre-Experimental design, specifically the One Group Pretest-Posttest model. The research population included all students in class B1, totaling 19 children, with samples selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through structured observations and performance tests, then analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test via statistical software. The results showed a significant increase in reading ability, evidenced by the rise in the mean score from 52 in the pretest to 78 in the posttest. Statistically, a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 was obtained, which is lower than the significance level of 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This indicates that the Glenn Doman method, based on pictorial word cards, is effective in stimulating children's basic literacy development visually and enjoyably. Through repetitive and interactive stimulation, children became more enthusiastic, focused, and confident in pronouncing words. In conclusion, the Glenn Doman method has a positive impact and can serve as an innovative alternative learning strategy for teachers to improve the quality of early childhood reading skills. Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics of speech delays in children aged 5–6 years at Robbani Integrated Islamic Kindergarten in Ogan Ilir. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, where the subject of the study was a boy with the initials AKA. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model to obtain a detailed and accurate picture of the phenomenon. The results showed that AKA was starting to be able to combine one to two words with the help of stimuli, but was not yet able to construct meaningful sentences. He could pronounce simple words clearly, but had difficulty conveying simple sentences, feelings, and experiences verbally. He still showed limited two-way interaction, minimal initiative to start conversations, difficulty maintaining eye contact, and was more interested in objects or activities of interest. The child still had difficulty concentrating for long periods and required repetition to understand instructions, although he understood directions better when the teacher used demonstrations or pointed to objects. Based on these findings, the characteristics of children aged 5–6 years with speech delays can be categorized into three main aspects: language (limited vocabulary, difficulty pronouncing words and constructing sentences, difficulty expressing feelings), social-emotional (difficulty in social interaction, avoiding eye contact, using gestures in communication), and cognitive (difficulty focusing attention, requiring repetition, and being more interested in interesting things). These findings are expected to be a basis for teachers, parents, and early childhood education practitioners in designing appropriate learning strategies to support the language and communication development of children with speech delays.

Abstract

This study is motivated by structural gaps in the preservation and accessibility of keroncong music, particularly the lack of systematic digital documentation and the declining awareness among younger generations. The study aims to develop and validate a web-based digital library system (Croeng.id) that enhances information retrievability, user engagement, and cultural understanding. The method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using a modified 3D model (Define, Design, Develop), implemented through iterative development and continuous validation. Data were collected through alpha testing (internal evaluation) and beta testing involving experts and general users. System evaluation refers to ISO 9241-11:2018 standards, focusing on three key indicators: effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. Quantitative analysis shows a feasibility level of 88.0%, exceeding the ≥80% threshold, indicating that the system is highly feasible. Qualitative findings further reveal improvements in accessibility, speed of information retrieval, and depth of understanding of keroncong music. These results confirm that a culture-based digital system functions not only as a repository but also as an interactive learning medium. Therefore, this development represents a strategic cultural intervention contributing to sustainable preservation and the strengthening of music education in the digital era.

Abstract

Science education, known as IPA in elementary schools, plays a crucial role in honing critical thinking skills along with various other transformative competencies needed in the demanding world of the 21st century. However, there are various obstacles faced in science learning, so that students' achievement in science learning in the learning components that include thinking (cognitive), emotional response (affective), and practical skills (psychomotor) are also affected. The Team Games Tournament (TGT) model has become an alternative to encourage improvement in elementary school students' science learning outcomes. Through a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature study, this article examines ten recent studies that examine the role of TGT in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of elementary school science learning. The results of the analysis show that the consistent application of TGT improves students' understanding of science concepts (cognitive), motivation (affective), and cooperation (psychomotor) among students. Thus, the TGT model is recommended as the main model in designing science learning at the elementary level, as well as a foundation for further research and development of innovative models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the educational role of teachers in instilling Islamic values through daily activities at Tadika Al Fikh Orchard Awani Bangi. The focus of the study includes the implementation of the teachers’ educational role, the methods used to integrate Islamic values into daily learning activities, the factors influencing effectiveness, and the challenges faced along with the strategies applied to overcome them. This research employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design to explore teachers’ lived experiences in the process of value internalization. The research subjects consisted of teachers as the main informants and students aged 4–6 years as participants. Participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation were used to gather data. The Miles and Huberman model, which involves data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, was used to analyze the data. Triangulation of sources, triangulation of techniques, and extended engagement were used to guarantee the authenticity of the data. The findings indicate that Islamic values were integrated into daily habituation activities such as prayer practices, teacher role modeling, discipline, responsibility, social interaction, and Islamic-themed educational games. Continuous habituation and positive reinforcement effectively shaped students’ religious character despite challenges related to diverse student characteristics, limited instructional time, and limited school–family continuity.
