Abstract

This article examines the implementation of Islamic education and its influence on the religious behavior of the community in Sampalu Hamlet, South Kaledupa, Wakatobi Regency. Islamic education within the community functions not only as a process of transmitting religious knowledge but also as a means of fostering religious attitudes in daily life. This study aims to describe the forms of implementation of Islamic education in the community and to analyze its impact on the formation of religious behavior. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a library research design, supported by various written sources such as books, scientific journals, articles, and relevant documents related to Islamic education and community religious behavior, which were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings show that the implementation of Islamic education in Sampalu Hamlet is reflected through religious study activities, the habituation of worship practices, the exemplary role of religious leaders, and socio-religious practices integrated into community life. The values of Islamic education that develop include aspects of faith (aqidah), worship (ibadah), morality (akhlak), and social-religious values that gradually shape the community’s religious behavior. Thus, Islamic education functions as an effective non-formal educational medium in fostering religious awareness, strengthening moral values, and sustaining Islamic values in the social life of the local community.Top of FormBottom of Form

Abstract

Public Street Lighting (PJU) is a basic infrastructure that plays a strategic role in supporting community mobility, particularly at night. This study aims to describe: 1) the conditions of street lighting in Korong Sijangek before and after the reactivation of 5 street light points; 2) changes in residents' night mobility as a direct impact of optimization; and 3) community perceptions regarding the program's benefits. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through in-depth interviews using 30 relevant questions, field observations during the Community Service (KKN) period of January–June 2026 in Korong Sijangek, Nagari Sungai Durian, Patamuan District, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, and documentation as supporting evidence. Data were analyzed through narrative analysis covering the stages of data collection, data reduction, descriptive presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results showed that prior to reactivation, road conditions had been dark for approximately 6 months, severely limiting residents' nighttime activities and causing fear and anxiety, particularly among the elderly. After reactivating the 5 street light points, significant changes occurred, including increased safety and comfort, improved night mobility that supported social interaction, and positive impacts on micro-economic activities in local stalls. However, residents noted that distances between poles remain too far apart, and additional lighting is needed in rice field and plantation areas far from residential zones. This study concludes that optimizing 5 street light points, though a simple intervention, produced multidimensional impacts on Sijangek community mobility and can serve as a replicable model for other rural areas facing similar challenges.

Abstract

The FILANESIA Curriculum is the official national football development guide published by the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), adopting FIFA's Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) framework. Within this curriculum, development is organized into age-based phases, and the earliest phase—covering ages 6–12—directly targets elementary school (SD) students. Nevertheless, no study has explicitly examined how basic football movement concepts taught in Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) at the elementary level can support and align with this phase. This article aims to analyze the alignment between basic football movement concepts in elementary PJOK and the early-age phase competency demands of the FILANESIA Curriculum, and to formulate implications for PJOK teachers' instructional practice. The study employed a qualitative approach with document analysis and conceptual study design. Primary data sources were the official FILANESIA Curriculum document, the PJOK Learning Achievement for Elementary Merdeka Curriculum, and PJOK textbooks for grades I–VI. Analysis was conducted through content comparison based on movement taxonomy, development phase mapping, and triangulation with relevant international LTPD literature. Findings identified a high degree of alignment (83.7%) between elementary PJOK basic movement indicators and FILANESIA early-age phase competencies in the locomotor and manipulative skill domains. However, gaps were found in the introduction of simple tactics (missing link of 31.4%) and game rule literacy (24.8%). This research produces a conceptual alignment map that can serve as a reference for PJOK teachers in aligning instruction with the FILANESIA Curriculum, along with concrete recommendations for developing FILANESIA-based PJOK syllabi for grades IV–VI.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of diagnostic assessment in mapping students’ cognitive and spiritual readiness in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) within the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design strengthened by a hypothetical conceptual framework of integrative diagnostic assessment. The findings indicate that diagnostic assessment effectively identifies students’ prior knowledge and misconceptions through case-based tests and two-tier instruments. However, measuring spiritual dimensions requires authentic assessment approaches such as observation, reflective journals, and performance-based evaluation. Diagnostic assessment provides empirical foundations for differentiated instruction, particularly in planning remedial, enrichment, and character-based interventions. Despite its pedagogical significance, implementation challenges remain, including teachers’ assessment literacy, time constraints, and difficulties in interpreting non-cognitive data. The study recommends the development of an integrative cognitive–spiritual diagnostic assessment model to strengthen Islamic Religious Education practices in primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of the school environment to the disciplinary behavior of eighth-grade female students at SMP Rahmatan Lil’Alamin International Islamic Boarding School in the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed a quantitative correlational approach with a total sampling technique involving 70 students. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Product Moment correlation and coefficient of determination. The results showed a correlation coefficient of 0.177 with a significance value of 0.142 (>0.05), indicating that there is no significant relationship between the school environment and students’ disciplinary behavior. The coefficient of determination revealed that the school environment contributed 3.1% to students’ disciplinary behavior, while 96.9% was influenced by other factors. These findings imply that although the school environment plays a role, disciplinary behavior is more dominantly shaped by internal and external factors beyond the school setting.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning activeness in mathematics measurement material through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Grade V of SDN 186/I Sridadi. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The study adopted the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results indicated that the implementation of the PBL model was effective in improving students’ learning activeness. This improvement was reflected in the increasing percentage of students’ activeness from one cycle to the next. Initially, students’ activeness in Cycle I was categorized as low, reaching 47.36%. In Cycle II, the first meeting showed an increase to 76.47%, and further improvement occurred in the second meeting, reaching 83.33%. The percentage of students’ activeness exceeded the success indicator of 70%, indicating that the learning objectives had been achieved. Therefore, the action cycle was terminated after achieving the predetermined targets. The findings demonstrate that the application of the Problem Based Learning model significantly enhances students’ learning activities and activeness in mathematics learning. It can be concluded that the implementation of Problem Based Learning in mathematics instruction effectively improves the learning activeness of Grade V students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the political behavior of Generation Z in the context of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu) around the State Islamic University (UIN) Raden Fatah Palembang. Generation Z, generally born between 1997 and 2012, represents the age group that has begun to actively participate in formal political processes and became the largest segment of voters in the 2024 election. This phenomenon is particularly interesting to examine because the political behavior of this generation differs significantly from that of previous generations. With their high exposure to technology, fast access to information, and intense use of social media, Generation Z’s political attitudes and decisions are often influenced by digital dynamics, social identity, and a growing critical awareness of political, economic, and social issues. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using methods such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants consist of active UIN Raden Fatah Palembang students categorized as Generation Z who participated in the 2024 election. Data were collected using purposive sampling, considering variations in social backgrounds, organizational involvement, and levels of political understanding. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to identify behavioral patterns and political tendencies among the respondents. The findings reveal that the political behavior of Generation Z around UIN Raden Fatah Palembang is characterized by rational and pragmatic orientations, yet still influenced by emotional and digital identity factors. Most respondents demonstrate interest in national political issues; however, their participation tends to occur more in the realm of digital politics through social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and X (Twitter). This generation tends not to be bound to specific ideologies or political parties; instead, they evaluate candidates based on personal image, track record, and media representation. On the other hand, their involvement in direct political activities—such as attending campaigns or volunteering for political parties—remains relatively low due to apathy toward practical politics and a lack of trust in political elites. Moreover, this study finds that political education within the university environment plays a crucial role in shaping Generation Z’s critical awareness. Classroom discussions, student organizations, and academic activities serve as potential spaces for enhancing political literacy. However, the low intensity of constructive political dialogue and the scarcity of exemplary public leadership limit the development of substantive political participation. Despite these challenges, there is a positive trend showing that Generation Z is increasingly inclined to become agents of change through social actions and digital advocacy, representing a form of non-conventional political participation.Overall, the political behavior of Generation Z around UIN Raden Fatah Palembang during the 2024 election reflects a transformation of political orientation from conventional models toward more participatory and digital-based forms. This generation holds great potential to become a critical, creative, and adaptive political force—provided that they receive continuous political education, ethical digital literacy, and are supported by a transparent political system. Therefore, this study contributes to a broader understanding of the dynamics of youth political behavior in the digital era and emphasizes the importance of educational institutions in cultivating democratic political character among Indonesia’s younger generation.
