Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to develop the concept of personal branding in Papuan traditional crafts through a work entitled “The Golden Sunset of Honai” as an effort to preserve the cultural heritage of the Indonesian archipelago. The background of this research is based on the declining understanding of the younger generation toward Papuan culture as well as the lack of innovation in introducing traditional crafts to the wider community.This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) method consisting of four stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. A descriptive quantitative approach was used to analyze respondents’ assessments of the developed product. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire constructed based on four indicators. The data were analyzed using percentage techniques to determine the level of public acceptance of the developed concept.The results indicate that the concept of “The Golden Sunset of Honai” is rated very good, as it is able to visually, aesthetically, and emotionally represent the cultural values of Papua while remaining relevant to modern lifestyles. The implementation of culture-based personal branding has proven to be effective in increasing public interest, understanding, and appreciation of Papuan traditional crafts.This study provides practical contributions to the development of culture-based craft products as well as theoretical contributions to the study of personal branding in cultural preservation.

Students’ learning motivation in science learning is still relatively low because the learning process tends to be teacher-centered and lacks the use of interactive learning media. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning, analyze the improvement of students’ learning motivation, and determine students’ responses after the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model assisted by E-LKM. This research used a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The instruments included a learning implementation observation sheet, a students’ learning motivation questionnaire, and a students’ response questionnaire. Data were analyzed using percentage analysis and the N-Gain test based on the ARCS indicators (attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction). The results showed that the learning implementation was categorized as very good with percentages ranging from 92% to 100%. The average N-Gain score was 0.70 (moderate category), and students’ responses were very positive with an average percentage of 85%. These results indicate that the TPS model assisted by E-LKM can improve students’ learning motivation in science learning.

This study aims to analyze teachers’ readiness and perspectives regarding the implementation of STEM education at SD Muhammadiyah Gendeng. Qualitative methods (in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation) were used to collect data. The results indicate that teachers’ readiness is in the “adequate” category; their main strengths are positive attitudes and the use of basic technology, while pedagogical, professional, and infrastructure aspects still require further strengthening. Teachers recognize the benefits of STEM in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills and creativity; however, barriers to interdisciplinary integration and limited facilities hinder implementation. The findings highlight the gap between teachers’ positive perceptions and their readiness for implementation, underscoring the importance of integrated policy support. The novelty of this research lies in its comprehensive analysis that simultaneously links teachers’ readiness and perspectives, particularly in religious-based elementary schools. Policy implications include enhancing continuous professional development programs for teachers, providing adequate technological facilities, and developing more operational STEM implementation guidelines to support STEM implementation in elementary schools. This study enriches the elementary-level STEM literature with holistic contextual insights and is expected to drive the strengthening of relevant policies.

This classroom action research was conducted to address the low science learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. The preliminary data showed that the average pre-test score was 50.91, with only 18.18% of students (2 out of 11) achieving the minimum mastery criterion (75), indicating that students’ achievement was still in the low category. This study aimed to improve students’ science learning outcomes through the implementation of the Generative Learning Model assisted by animation media. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages. The subjects of the study were 11 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 07 Muaro Kalaban in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through written tests and observation sheets, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis to determine the mean score and classical learning completeness. The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes. In Cycle I, the mean score increased to 68.18 with classical completeness of 54.55% (6 students achieving mastery). In Cycle II, the mean score further improved to 84.55, and classical completeness reached 90.91% (10 students achieving mastery), exceeding the predetermined success indicator of 75%. Therefore, the implementation of the Generative Learning Model assisted by animation media effectively improved the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students.

This research is motivated by the continued dominance of conventional learning in science in grade IV at SD Negeri 040538 Sampun, which leads students to be passive and results in suboptimal learning outcomes. Preliminary data show that in grade IVA, only 8 out of 20 students achieved mastery, while in grade IVB, only 7 out of 17 students completed. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of gamification-based media on student learning outcomes in science. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population comprised all 37 grade IV students, with 20 students in the experimental class and 17 in the control class. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, the Levene homogeneity test, and the independent-samples t-test. The results showed that the experimental class's average posttest score was 91.75, higher than the control class's 74.71. The hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect of gamification-based media on student learning outcomes. Thus, gamification-based media is effective in improving elementary school students' science learning outcomes.

Learning to write descriptive texts faces several problems, including students' difficulty in expressing ideas, low interest and enthusiasm, poor language use, monotonous learning, and a lack of active interaction between teachers and students. The discovery learning model and papercraft diorama media can be alternatives to improve students' descriptive writing skills. The objectives of this study are: 1) to test the effectiveness of the discovery learning model and papercraft diorama media in teaching descriptive text writing to seventh-grade students at MTs Darul Falah Bongas for the 2024/ 2025, and 2) to determine how students engage in descriptive text writing instruction by applying the discovery learning model and papercraft diorama media among seventh-grade students at MTs Darul Falah Bongas for the 2024/2025 academic year. This study employs an experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. Based on statistical calculations using the independent samples t-test, the calculated t-value was 3.347 and the table t-value was 2.000. Thus, the calculated t-value (3.347) > table t-value (2.000), indicating that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be stated that the discovery learning model and diorama papercraft media are effective when applied in teaching descriptive text writing to seventh-grade students at MTs Darul Falah Bongas in the 2024/2025 academic year. The Accera Kalompoang tradition is a traditional ritual that holds a significant place in the cultural system and is a symbol of power during the Gowa Sultanate in Gowa. This ritual involves the purification of royal heirlooms, performed periodically as a form of respect for ancestral heritage and as a symbol of the historical legitimacy of royal power. This study aims to analyze the symbolic meaning, cultural values, and social functions of the Accera Kalompoang tradition in the context of preserving the cultural identity of the Gowa people. This research employed qualitative methods with a descriptive-analytical approach through a literature review of various relevant historical, anthropological, and cultural studies sources. The results indicate that the Accera Kalompoang tradition functions not only as a traditional ritual practice but also represents symbolic constructions related to the legitimacy of power, respect for ancestors, and a mechanism for preserving the community's collective memory. In the contemporary context, this tradition also serves as a medium for preserving cultural heritage, strengthening the cultural identity of the Gowa people amidst the dynamics of social change. Thus, Accera Kalompoang can be understood as a cultural practice with historical, symbolic, and social dimensions in maintaining the continuity of the traditions of the Gowa Sultanate.

Language style and learning strategies play an important role in the success of language learning at the elementary level. Students have different language styles that influence how they receive, process, and express language. This article aims to analyze language styles and language learning strategies used by students at MI Al Kifayah. The method used is a literature study by reviewing relevant theories and previous research. The results show that appropriate learning strategies combined with an understanding of students’ language styles can improve language skills, including speaking, reading, writing, and listening. Therefore, teachers need to apply adaptive and varied strategies to support optimal language learning outcomes.

This study aims to analyze the implementation strategy of School-Based Management (SBM/MBS) in improving the quality of learning at UPTD SDN 54 Dualimpoe, Wajo Regency. SBM provides autonomy for schools to manage resources independently and participatively. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of SBM at UPTD SDN 54 Dualimpoe has been well-executed, covering curriculum management, student affairs, teacher professionalism development, and systematic, transparent financial management. The relationship between the school and the community is harmoniously maintained through socialization and active stakeholder participation. The main supporting factors are teacher discipline, democratic decision-making principles, and the commitment of educators. However, identified barriers include limited understanding of the SBM concept among some educators and central policy interventions that restrict school flexibility. The conclusion affirms that SBM contributes significantly to school program effectiveness and improved learning quality through managerial autonomy.

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Holistic Integrative Early Childhood Development (HI-ECD/PAUD HI) program in enhancing the quality of educational units at TK Al Fasih Day School, Tempe District, Wajo Regency. HI-ECD is an approach to early childhood development designed to meet children's diverse and interrelated essential needs simultaneously, systematically, and in an integrated manner. This research employs a qualitative method, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of HI-ECD at TK Al Fasih Day School encompasses services in education, health, nutrition, care, parenting, as well as protection and welfare. Integration strategies are executed through collaboration with relevant agencies, such as community health centers (Puskesmas) and the Social Affairs Office. Supporting factors for this implementation include the commitment of school management and active parental participation, while identified barriers involve limitations in specific health-supporting infrastructure. The implementation of this program has significantly improved the quality of the educational unit, as evidenced by enhanced management standards, fulfillment of student nutrition, and the achievement of school accreditation.
