Abstract

This study aims to design an ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning design that integrates Buton local wisdom into the learning process in elementary schools. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The subjects in this study were fourth-grade elementary school students and class teachers involved in the mathematics learning process. This research was carried out through two main stages, namely the exploration stage and the implementation stage of the learning design. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the integration of the local wisdom of the Buton Palace Fortress in geometry learning has a positive contribution to students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This approach not only helps students understand geometry concepts more concretely but also strengthens their awareness of local cultural values ​​​​that exist in the community.

Nelly Yunita STRATEGIES OF FINAL-YEAR GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING STUDENTS CLASS OF 2022 SLAMET RIYADI UNIVERSITY IN COPING WITH THESIS WRITING PRESSURE REVIEWED FROM MBTI PERSONALITY TYPES FEELING (F) AND THINKING (T) IN 2026 :The aim of this research was to determine the strategies of final-year Guidance and Counseling students class of 2022 at Slamet Riyadi University in coping with thesis writing pressure reviewed from MBTI personality types Feeling (F) and Thinking (T). The research method used was descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this research were final-year Guidance and Counseling students class of 2022 who were in the process of writing their thesis. The research instruments used were observation guidelines, interviews and documentation employed in the data collection process with subjects. The data obtained were then analyzed through several stages such as summarizing, concluding, and verification. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that students with MBTI Feeling (F) personality type and students with MBTI Thinking (T) personality type have different strategies in coping with thesis writing pressure. This can be seen from MBTI Feeling (F) students who tend to seek emotional validation from closest people and Thinking (T) students who focus on solutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the positive and significant influence of Christian religious counseling on the socio-emotional development of the elderly in Siaro Village, Siborongborong District, North Tapanuli Regency. This research employed a descriptive quantitative approach and involved 27 respondents as the research subjects. The data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire consisting of 20 items for each variable. The data were then analyzed using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, Product Moment correlation test (rxy), t-test, and simple regression analysis. The results of the analysis showed that: (1) Analysis prerequisite tests: a) in the positive relationship test, the value of rxy = 0.570 was greater than rtable = 0.381, indicating a positive relationship between Christian religious counseling (X) and the socio-emotional development of the elderly (Y); b) in the significance test, the value of tcount = 1.982 was greater than ttable = 1.706 at a significance level of α = 0.05, indicating that the relationship was significant. (2) Influence test: a) in the regression equation test, the equation Y = 8.207 + 0.636X was obtained, which indicates that every increase of one unit in Christian religious counseling increases the socio-emotional development of the elderly by 0.636 units; b) the regression coefficient of determination (R²) = 0.570 indicates that 57.0% of the variation in the socio-emotional development of the elderly can be explained by Christian religious counseling, while the remaining 33% is influenced by factors outside this study. Therefore, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, indicating that Christian religious counseling has a positive and significant influence on the social and emotional development of the elderly.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics–Augmented Reality (STEM–AR)–based learning media on the topic of Earth’s layers for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The participants were fifth-grade students of SDN Miroto Semarang Tengah. Data were collected through expert validation, student response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of expert validation indicated that the developed STEM–AR learning media met the criteria of high feasibility in terms of content accuracy, visual design, and interactivity. The limited trial results showed positive student responses, indicating a high level of practicality and ease of use. Furthermore, the effectiveness analysis revealed an improvement in students’ learning outcomes, as evidenced by an increase in the average score from 62.00 in the pretest to 84.00 in the posttest. These findings suggest that the integration of augmented reality with a STEM approach facilitates students’ understanding of abstract Earth science concepts through interactive three-dimensional visualization and integrated learning activities. Therefore, the STEM–AR learning media is considered feasible, practical, and effective, and has the potential to serve as an innovative instructional tool to enhance scientific literacy and student engagement in elementary science learning.

Brevine Luckia Breezi THE ROLE OF MBTI PERSONALITY TYPES JUDGING (J) AND PERCEIVING (P) IN TIME MANAGEMENT FOR THESIS COMPLETION AMONG FINAL-YEAR GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING STUDENTS CLASS OF 2022 AT SLAMET RIYADI UNIVERSITY IN 2026 The purpose of this study was to determine the role of MBTI Personality Types Judging (J) and Perceiving (P) in Time Management for Thesis Completion among Final Year Guidance and Counseling Students Class of 2022 at Slamet Riyadi University in 2026. This research was conducted at Slamet Riyadi University. The subjects of this study were Guidance and Counseling students from the class of 2022/2023 who were in the process of completing their thesis. The research instruments used were observation guidelines, interviews, and documentation. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed through several stages, including summarizing, concluding, and verifying. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that students with the Judging (J) and Perceiving (P) MBTI types have different ways of managing time during the thesis completion period. The Judging (J) type strictly follows schedules and is structured, whereas the Perceiving (P) type relies more on mood and is flexible.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the effectiveness of spiritual guidance activities conducted by Christian religious counselors on reducing stress levels among drug abuse inmates at Class IIA Sibolga Correctional Institution. This research employs a quantitative method with an inferential statistical approach. The population in this study consisted of all drug dealer inmates at Class IIA Sibolga Correctional Institution, totaling 235 individuals, while the research sample consisted of 70 respondents determined through a random sampling technique using the Slovin formula. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. Data analysis used correlation tests and the coefficient of determination test. The results of the study show that there is a positive and significant effect between the effectiveness of spiritual guidance activities conducted by Christian religious counselors and the reduction of stress levels among drug dealer inmates at Class IIA Sibolga Correctional Institution. This is evidenced by a correlation coefficient value of 0.965, which falls into the very strong relationship category, and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the coefficient of determination test indicate that the effectiveness of spiritual guidance activities contributes 93.2% to the reduction of inmates’ stress levels, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Thus, it can be concluded that the more effective the spiritual guidance activities provided by Christian religious counselors, the greater the reduction in stress levels experienced by drug dealer inmates. Spiritual guidance plays an important role in helping inmates achieve inner peace, control their emotions, and improve their spiritual condition during their rehabilitation period in the correctional institution.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze educational workforce innovation in developing teacher professionalism at SDN 3 Sukajaya and to identify the challenges faced in its implementation. Teacher professionalism is an essential factor in improving the quality of education because teachers play a strategic role in the learning process and in shaping students' character. Therefore, innovative efforts in managing educational personnel are necessary to help teachers improve their competencies and adapt to the dynamic development of education. This research employed a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The data sources consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the principal and teachers, while secondary data were collected from school documents related to teacher professional development programs. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis through the processes of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.The results of the study indicate that educational workforce innovations implemented at SDN 3 Sukajaya include the organization of regular training and workshops for teachers, the utilization of technology in the learning process, and the establishment of a teacher professional development team. These innovations aim to enhance teachers’ competencies, performance, and professionalism in conducting the learning process. However, several challenges were identified in the implementation, including limited educational facilities and infrastructure, resistance from some teachers to changes, limited time for teachers to participate in professional development activities, and the lack of continuous evaluation of development programs. In conclusion, educational workforce innovation plays an important role in supporting the development of teacher professionalism. However, it requires adequate resources, teachers’ readiness to adapt to change, and a sustainable evaluation system to ensure its optimal implementation.

Abstract

This study is based on the low speaking skills of students. This is due to: (1) Students are not accustomed to actively participating in speaking activities, (2) students' confidence in expressing their opinions is still low, (3) participation in discussions is uneven and dominated by only a few students, (4) Students have difficulty constructing sentences coherently and developing ideas in their own language, and (5) there are still limitations in the use of media as a concrete stimulus to facilitate the delivery of ideas and vocabulary mastery when speaking. The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement in speaking skills using the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model assisted by Flash Cards in grade IV of SDN 16 Padang Besi. This study was a classroom action research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subjects of this study were teachers and students in grade IV of SDN 16 Padang Besi, totaling 27 people. The results of the study showed an increase in: 1) The results of the teaching module observation in cycle I averaged 87.5% (B), increasing in cycle II to 95.83% (SB), 2) Teacher activity in cycle I averaged 89.07% (B), increasing in cycle II to 96.88% (SB), 3) Student activity in cycle I averaged 81.26% (B), increasing in cycle II to 93.75% (SB). Students' speaking skills in cycle I were an average of 77.78 (C), increasing to 87.5 (B) in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type assisted by Flash Card media can improve speaking skills in grade IV in Elementary Schools.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students. at SDN 16 Lubuak Tarok on the topic of simple water filtration. Learning activities were still dominated by conventional teaching methods which made students less active and had difficulty understanding scientific concepts. This study aimed to improve students' science learning outcomes through the implementation of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach. This study used Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 11 fourth grade students of SDN 16 Lubuak Tarok. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis used both quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the STEM approach improved students’ learning outcomes. In cycle I, the average score was 80,5 with a learning completeness percentage of 72.73% (8 students completed). After improvements in cycle II, the average score increased to 95 with a completeness percentage of 100% (11 students completed). The findings indicate that the STEM approach can effectively improve students' understanding through experimental activities, problem-solving, and designing simple technology related to real-life situations. Therefore, the STEM approach can be used as an effective learning strategy to improve science learning outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a picture story based learning media about the oral history of Bukit Kelam as an effort to increase students’ learning interest, literacy, and understanding of local history materials. This research is motivated by the limited availability of innovative learning media and the low level of students’ interest in history, especially oral history which is rarely published. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) model with the ADDIE stages, which include needs analysis, story and visual design, development of picture-story media, implementation, and evaluation. Validation by material experts and media experts shows that the developed media product falls into the category of “very feasible.” The trial conducted with students of SMA Negeri 1 Kayan Hulu received positive responses, where students considered the media product interesting, easy to understand, and helpful in visualizing historical events. The results of this study conclude that picture stories can be used as an alternative contextual history learning media.
