Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Game-Based Learning model on improving physical fitness of class X students of Madrasah Aliyah in Physical Education, Sports and Health (PJOK) learning. This research method uses an Experiment with a One Group pretest-posttest Design. The subjects of this study were 20 class X students of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Al-Fatah Cileungsi. The data collection instrument used the Indonesian Student Health Test (TKSI) fade E-F for ages 16-19 years. The results of the pair sample T-Test showed a significant increase in the aspects of endurance and agility after being given treatment. The conclusion of this study is that the Game-Based Learning learning model is effective in improving students' physical fitness. These findings recommend the application of game-based learning in PJOK to improve students' physical fitness.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening students’ character through the values of Pancasila, amidst various moral issues occurring in school environments. The Pancasila Student Profile, as the core foundation of the Merdeka Curriculum, aims to develop Indonesian students who are faithful, pious, globally diverse, collaborative, independent, critical thinkers, and creative individuals. However, its implementation in elementary schools faces several challenges such as limited facilities, time constraints, and diverse student backgrounds that affect the learning process. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile in the Pancasila Education learning process for fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 16 Kelara, Jeneponto Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that (1) lesson planning has been conducted by formulating learning objectives, materials, activities, and assessments aligned with the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile. The planning also includes differentiation strategies to accommodate varying student abilities. (2) Learning implementation involves methods such as lectures, group discussions, presentations, and project-based learning. Students are actively engaged in activities that cultivate cooperation, appreciation of diversity, critical thinking, and creativity, and the values of Pancasila are practiced directly in classroom interactions. (3) Assessment and evaluation are carried out continuously through diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments that cover cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains using instruments such as written tests, observations, student journals, project assessments, and self-reflections. sThe study concludes that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile has been generally effective and contributes positively to student character development. However, further improvement is needed in terms of facility provision and teacher competency enhancement to ensure sustainable and optimal program implementation.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the low level of critical thinking skills among fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model to enhance students' critical thinking skills in the IPAS subject. This study used a qualitative approach and was a classroom action research (CAR) study, which involved a cyclical process of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research focused on students' critical thinking skills in IPAS and the TPS cooperative learning model. The subjects of this study were a teacher and 23 students from class VA at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 10 males and 13 females. Data were collected using observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed improvements in each cycle. The observation results of the learning process in Cycle I showed that both teacher and student activities were in the "moderate" category, which improved to the "good" category in Cycle II. The results of the critical thinking skills test showed that the students' skills were in the "low" category in Cycle I and improved to the "critical" category in Cycle II. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model can enhance students' critical thinking skills in IPAS subject for Phase C at UPT SDN 28 Tumampua II Pangkep Kota.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of critical reading strategies in teaching reading comprehension and to investigate students' responses toward these strategies. The study was conducted in a vocational high school in Karawang, using a qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews, and reflective journals. The results revealed that critical reading strategies such as previewing, annotating, questioning, summarizing, and evaluating text validity were effectively integrated into the reading comprehension process. These strategies helped students engage more deeply with texts, improve analytical thinking, and foster reading interest. Students showed positive responses, indicating increased motivation, comprehension, and critical awareness. However, some challenges were also found, including vocabulary limitations and cognitive overload. The study concludes that critical reading strategies are beneficial in enhancing reading comprehension and critical thinking skills, especially when adapted to vocational learners' context.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the competence of elementary school teachers in designing and implementing Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Case Method instruction using a deep learning approach. The activity was motivated by the challenges teachers face in adopting the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly the limited conceptual understanding and skills in designing innovative learning experiences. The program was conducted at SDN 03 Mulyorejo, Malang City, involving 20 teachers as participants. The implementation methods included material delivery, hands-on practice, and evaluation using pre- and post-training instruments based on Kirkpatrick’s evaluation framework at the learning level. The results indicated a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding of deep learning concepts and their self-efficacy in designing project- and case-based learning. All participants (100%) reported the ability to adapt deep learning in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum and integrate information technology into the learning process. In addition, the development of a Digital Learning Resource Center served as ongoing support for teachers to independently apply deep learning practices. These outcomes reinforce previous findings that practice-based training, reflection, and technology integration play a crucial role in enhancing teacher professionalism and learning quality. This activity is recommended for replication in other elementary schools to expand the implementation of deep learning as part of the Merdeka Curriculum strategy.

Abstract

The background of this research is the increasing interest and trend in student entrepreneurship research globally that occurred due to Covid-19. This study aims to analyze the development of student entrepreneurship research trends from 2020 to 2023. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a systematic literature review method and is not field-based. This study used the Scopus database with a sample of 40 international articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis shows a significant increase in the number of research article publications related to student entrepreneurship analysis from 2020 to 2023. Student interest and productivity in entrepreneurship-related research and article writing continued to increase over the four-year period. A total of 4,166 scientific papers were published across various research areas. In 2020, there were 938 publications, 968 in 2021, 1063 in 2022, and a peak in 2023 with 1197 articles related to student entrepreneurship. This indicates that the number of published articles continues to increase annually, reflecting the growing interest and focus in entrepreneurship research among students. The increase in the number of publications accelerated in subsequent years. The increase from 2021 to 2022 was approximately 10%, and from 2022 to 2023 was approximately 13%. This indicates that this topic is becoming increasingly popular and relevant among academics. The peak publication year occurred in 2023 with 1197 articles, confirming that year was the peak year for research activity on student entrepreneurship during the observed period.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively describe the strategies implemented by educators in increasing student learning motivation in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak in class VIII.A, MTs As'Adiyah Putri Pusat Sengkang, Wajo Regency. This study adopted a qualitative approach, with a primary focus on the role of teachers and student responses. Data collection methods included participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation analysis. Data analysis was carried out through a series of systematic stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on empirical evidence. The results of the study indicate that teachers of the subject of Aqidah Akhlak have implemented various strategies designed to increase student learning motivation. These strategies include providing rewards as a positive stimulus, creating healthy academic competition between students, implementing periodic tests as a formative evaluation instrument, providing prizes as a form of appreciation for academic achievement, and implementing educational punishments as an effort to enforce discipline. Supporting factors in implementing this strategy include an adequate number of students, continuity of teaching staff from grades VII to IX, which allows for a deep understanding of student development, and teacher competence in designing engaging learning through the selection of appropriate methods and the formation of positive attitudes. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include limited educational facilities and infrastructure, the influence of an unfavorable social environment, and a lack of family support in fostering student learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of the Quizizz Paper Mode application on the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education of fourth-grade students of SD Inpres Panaikang 11 Makassar City. The main problem underlying this study is the low learning outcomes of students. This study uses experimental research with a quantitative approach, with a quasi-experimental design (nonequivalent control group design). The population is 41 fourth-grade students of SD Inpres Panaikang 11 Makassar City with a sample of 21 students of class IV A (experimental) and 20 students of class IV B (control) selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation sheets and learning outcome tests. The results of descriptive analysis indicate that the implementation of the learning process using the Quizizz[ Paper Mode application is classified as very good. The results of inferential analysis with an independent sample t-test show a p-value of 0.004 <0.05, indicating a significant difference in the average posttest results between the experimental and control classes. Better learning outcomes occurred in the experimental class, supported by a higher average posttest score than the control class.  Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the Quizizz Paper Mode application has a significant impact on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in the Pancasila Education Unit (UPT SPF) of Panaikang 11 Elementary School, Makassar City. The use of Quizizz Paper Mode can be an effective strategy for teachers because it positively influences the quality of Pancasila Education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis GENTA (Guided Education Note Taking Audio Visual) sebagai media yang membantu peserta didik kelas 6 sekolah dasar memahami informasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terutama pada materi teks eksplanasi melalui penyajian materi yang terstruktur, interaktif, dan memuat unsur audio visual. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Bahan ajar GENTA (Guided Education Note Taking Audio Visual) dikembangkan melalui dua kali proses validasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, yang keduanya memperoleh penilaian kategori sangat layak dengan persentase 100%. Setelah dinyatakan layak, bahan ajar diujicobakan kepada peserta didik melalui dua tahap, yaitu uji coba skala kecil dan skala besar. Uji coba tersebut menunjukkan respons dengan persentase efektivitas sebesar 83%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis GENTA dapat digunakan sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran menyimak di sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: Bahan ajar, Audio visual, Keterampilan menyimak

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the students’ ability in writing narrative text at the XI grade of SMK N 2 Pekanbaru. Writing is a complex skill that requires learners to express ideas coherently while applying accurate linguistic features, and narrative text is one of the key genres taught in senior high school. A descriptive quantitative design was employed in this research. The population consisted of 856 students from all XI grade classes, and one class comprising 39 students was selected as the sample through purposive sampling. The instrument used was a writing test in which students were required to compose a narrative text based on a given topic. The students’ writing products were assessed by three raters using five components of writing: content, organization, grammatical function, language use, and generic structure. To ensure scoring consistency, inter-rater reliability was tested using Cronbach’s Alpha, resulting in a very high coefficient. The result revealed that the overall writing ability of the students fell into the average to good category. Specifically, five students were categorized as good to excellent, eighteen students were categorized as average to good, fourteen students were categorized as poor to average, and two students were categorized as poor. The findings indicate that while some students are capable of producing well-structured narrative texts, many still face difficulties in grammar accuracy, vocabulary range, and organizing ideas coherently. Based on these outcomes, the study suggests the need for more guided writing practice, explicit instruction, and continuous feedback to help students improve their narrative writing performance.
