Abstract

This study aims to examine efforts to improve early childhood numeracy skills at RA Nur Qomariah Jampangtengah, Sukabumi. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach to gain an in-depth understanding of the processes, strategies, and factors influencing children's numeracy development. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that efforts to improve numeracy skills are carried out by optimizing internal, external, and environmental factors. These efforts include the use of varied play-based learning methods, the utilization of concrete learning media, enhancement of children’s concentration and learning interest, and parental involvement in providing stimulation at home. The implementation of these strategies resulted in improvements in children’s ability to recognize number symbols, sequence numbers, understand basic addition, and relate quantities to numerical symbols. In conclusion, improving early childhood numeracy skills requires a comprehensive and integrated approach that considers children’s developmental characteristics. Collaboration between teachers, appropriate teaching methods, and support from both family and school environments plays a crucial role in optimizing children’s numeracy development.

Abstract

The influence of project-based learning on students' interest in entrepreneurship. The method used is quantitative with an experimental technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire distributed to 17 samples. The results of the study showed that 14 students were categorized as strongly agree with a percentage of 82.4% and 3 students were categorized as agree with a percentage of 17.6%, and there were no students in the categories of less agree, disagree, and strongly disagree. Thus, this study can be concluded that there is a significant influence of project-based learning on the entrepreneurial interest of XI DKV class students at SMK Negeri 7 Bone.

Abstract

Teacher burnout has become a significant issue in the field of education. This study aims to explore the factors that potentially contribute to teacher burnout and to examine principals’ social-emotional support as a strategy to prevent teacher burnout at SDN 2 Bogorejo and SDN 3 Bogorejo. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed in this research. Data were collected through triangulation techniques, including in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Source triangulation involved research informants consisting of the principals and all teachers in both schools. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that potential factors contributing to teacher burnout include student characteristics, policy changes, administrative demands, salary, and the distance between home and school. Principals provide social-emotional support to prevent teacher burnout in the form of empathy, interpersonal care, supportive presence, instrumental support, informational support, appreciation, and the creation of a positive work climate. The implementation is carried out through early detection of burnout, followed by the provision of support through principals’ daily leadership practices. Social-emotional support has been shown to function as a protective factor in preventing teacher burnout.

Abstract

Problems during learning at SMK N 1 Ranah Batahan still occur in the utilization of media, which is not yet optimal. Teachers only use Power Point with general and shallow material, making it difficult for students to understand. The lack of interactive media also makes students quickly bored, lose focus, and affects low Semester Exam results. The purpose of this study is to develop valid and practical Android-based learning media for the Cable and Wireless Technology Network subject in class XI TJKT at SMK Negeri 1 Ranah Batahan. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which has several stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects as samples consisted of 1 teacher and 28 students. The data collection technique used questionnaires with a Likert scale. The results of this study showed that the average score of media validity test was 89.27% with a category of very valid, and material validity was 94.86% with a category of very valid. The practicality test of learning media for teacher responses reached 97.22% with a category of very practical, and for student responses reached 94.5% with a category of very practical. The conclusion based on this research is that Android-based learning media has been tested to be very valid and feasible, so it can be applied as a media for the learning process at school, particularly in class XI Computer Network and Telecommunication Engineering (TJKT).

Abstract

This study aims to identify the principles and approaches to Indonesian language learning in elementary schools and analyze the obstacles encountered in their implementation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method at SDN 002 Rambah Samo. Subjects included teachers, fourth-fifth grade students, and the principal. Data collection techniques included semi-structured interviews, observation, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results indicate that the applied learning principles include communicative, contextual, integrative, and student-centered principles. The dominant learning approaches used were the scientific and thematic integrative approaches, which foster student activeness and engagement in the learning process. However, several obstacles were encountered in its implementation, such as low student self-confidence, differences in learning abilities, limited learning media, and teachers' tendency to use the lecture method. The implementation of these principles and approaches has led to active and meaningful learning and contributed to improving students' critical thinking skills, although not yet optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to develop more innovative, interactive, and media-based learning methods so that the learning process becomes more effective and appropriate to the needs of students in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and compare the integration of ecological citizenship values within the Civic Education curriculum at Universitas Jambi and Universitas Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya. Method: The study employs a qualitative case study approach with a comparative design. Subjects: The participants included lecturers and students from the Civic Education departments in both universities. Instruments: Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis of semester lesson plans. Data collection: Techniques involved thematic observation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis: Data were analyzed using systemic condensation, involving data display and conclusion drawing. Findings: The results indicate that Universitas Jambi focuses on ecological responsibility related to regional forest preservation, while Universitas Muhammadiyah Tasikmalaya emphasizes urban environmental ethics and religious-based conservation. Both institutions face challenges in transforming theoretical knowledge into consistent ecological advocacy among students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cultural contextual meanings in the lyrics of Raim Laode's song Komang and Bruno Mars' song Marry You. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with text analysis methods. The data consisted of song lyrics, analyzed based on their underlying social and cultural contexts. The analysis employed contextual semantics, semiotics, and hermeneutics to understand the denotative and connotative meanings of the lyrics. The results show that Komang's song represents Indonesian cultural values ​​that emphasize loyalty, sincerity, sacrifice, and emotional depth through the use of metaphorical and symbolic language. Meanwhile, Marry You reflects Western culture, which emphasizes individual freedom, spontaneity, and directness in expressing love through straightforward language. These differences indicate that the meanings of song lyrics are strongly influenced by the composer's cultural background. Thus, song lyrics serve not only as a medium for emotional expression but also as a reflection of cultural identity and societal perspectives on love and relationships.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the scientific curiosity of fourth-grade students in science lessons at SD Negeri 01 Pablengan and to identify the factors influencing it. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation.The results indicate that students' scientific curiosity in science lessons varies. Some students demonstrate curiosity by asking questions, participating in discussions, and seeking information related to the learning material. However, other students are less active in asking questions or participating in learning activities.Factors influencing students' scientific curiosity include teaching strategies, students' interest, and the learning environment. Therefore, appropriate learning strategies are needed to encourage students' activity and curiosity in the science learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of international training camp programs on improving the physical condition of Kurash athletes of Lampung Provincial Government. The program was carried out for 14 days at the Thailand National Sport University with a complex training approach and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) specific to combat sports. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach without a control group. The subjects of the study were 10 elite athletes (age 20.5 ± 2.3 years). Variables measured included strength, power, speed, agility, cardiorespiratory endurance (VO₂max), and flexibility. Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test and effect size calculation (Cohen's d). The results showed a significant increase in all physical components (p < 0.001) with a very large effect size category (d > 1.7). Average improvements include strength (23.7–31.2%), power (12.1%), speed (6.7%), agility (7.6%), endurance (7.6%), and flexibility (23.4%). These findings show that international training camps with a structured training system and sports science-based load monitoring are effective in optimizing the physiological adaptation of Kurash athletes in a relatively short time

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى بيان دور البيئة اللغوية في تحسين مهارة الكلام لدى طلاب معهد هداية الله باتو، وذلك بالاعتماد على نظرية رشدي أحمد طعيمة في تعليم اللغة العربية لغير الناطقين بها. تنطلق هذه الدراسة من ملاحظة ضعف مهارة الكلام عند كثير من الطلاب، على الرغم من دراستهم القواعد والمفردات العربية، مما يدل على أن البيئة اللغوية لم تُفعَّل بشكل كافٍ في عملية تعلم اللغة. استخدم الباحث المنهج الكيفي بنوع دراسة الحالة، وجُمعت البيانات من خلال الملاحظة، والمقابلات، وتحليل الوثائق. وأظهرت نتائج البحث أن البيئة اللغوية في المعهد لها دور مهم في تنمية مهارة الكلام، وذلك من خلال كثرة استخدام اللغة العربية في الأنشطة اليومية، واستمرار التدريب والممارسة، وتنوع البرامج اللغوية، إضافة إلى دور المعلمين في توجيه الطلاب وتشجيعهم على استخدام اللغة العربية. كما بيّنت النتائج وجود عوامل تساعد على نجاح البيئة اللغوية، وأخرى تعيقها، مثل ضعف دافعية بعض الطلاب وتأثير اللغة الأم. ويخلص البحث إلى أن تفعيل البيئة اللغوية وفق نظرية رشدي أحمد طعيمة يُسهم بشكل كبير في تحسين مهارة الكلام وتنمية القدرة التواصلية لدى متعلمي اللغة العربية. الكلمات المفتاحية: البيئة اللغوية، مهارة الكلام، نظرية رشدي أحمد طعيمة
