Abstract

This study investigates the morphological features present in two essays written by Grade 5 Matayum students at Wittya Foundation School, Bandaon—one in Indonesian and the other in Patani Malay. The research specifically examines four core aspects of morphology, namely affixation, reduplication, word-formation processes, and cross-linguistic interference that emerges in students’ written production. Employing a descriptive qualitative design with content analysis, the study analyzes the linguistic structures produced by 20 students who were assigned to write two essays on the same theme, each in a different language. The essays were subsequently evaluated based on the morphological categories characteristic of Indonesian and Patani Malay. The results reveal that approximately 42% of the students produced incorrect forms in the use of the Indonesian prefix me-, generating nonstandard constructions such as memain, menjumpa, and melari. These deviations indicate strong cross-linguistic influence from Patani Malay, particularly in morphophonemic processes and affix selection. Conversely, the students’ Patani Malay essays demonstrated a high degree of morphological accuracy, reaching 96%, especially in the use of prefixes be- and ta-, the suffix -ko, and various reduplication patterns such as rumah-rumah and jalang-jalang. The comparison between the two languages shows that interference flows more dominantly from Patani Malay into Indonesian, affecting both affixation and lexical choices. These findings suggest that students possess stronger morphological competence in their mother tongue, whereas their Indonesian writing skills require systematic reinforcement. The study provides significant implications for developing effective instructional strategies in bilingual Patani Malay–Indonesian learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Realistic Mathematics Education-based Deep Learning on elementary school students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. This study applies a quantitative approach through a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 24 fifth-grade students at Pasirtalaga 1 Elementary School were involved as research participants. Data collection was carried out through a test designed to measure students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, normality tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain calculations. The results of the analysis indicate the development of mathematical critical thinking skills with an N-Gain score of 0.73, which is classified as high. This aspect indicates that Realistic Mathematics Education-based deep learning has a positive effect on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the transformation of communication technology that has shifted the practice of da'wah from conventional to digital spaces, thus giving rise to changes in the structure of religious authority. This study aims to analyze the shift in da'wah authority from traditional ulama to religious content creators and to understand the role of the audience in shaping religious legitimacy on social media. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach within an interpretive paradigm, through in-depth interviews, observations of social media activity, and documentation studies. The results show that there has been a shift from authority based on sanad, science, and institutions to digital charismatic authority determined by visibility, engagement, and communication skills, where social media functions as an arena that not only disseminates but also shapes religious legitimacy. The audience acts as an active actor, determining credibility based on ease of understanding, emotional closeness, and practical relevance, making the authority of da'wah more fluid, participatory, and continually negotiated. The discussion confirms that this phenomenon aligns with the theory of authority and the concept of the mediatization of religion, which demonstrates structural and epistemological changes in the production and distribution of religious knowledge. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of communicative adaptation for da'is without neglecting the quality of their knowledge, so that da'wah remains credible, contextual, and responsible in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Visual Thinking Strategy (VTS) learning method on the ability of tenth-grade students at SMK Swasta Markus 2 Medan to write procedural texts. The research employs a quantitative approach. The population consists of all tenth-grade students at SMK Swasta Markus 2 Medan. The sampling technique used is cluster random sampling (random selection based on class groups), in which two classes are randomly selected from three tenth-grade classes consisting of 60 students, resulting in a sample of 40 students. The instrument used in this study is a subjective test in the form of an essay. After applying different treatments, the results show that the mean score of the pretest is 61.25 with a standard deviation of 8.66, while the mean score of the posttest is 78.5 with a standard deviation of 33.70. The prerequisite test results indicate that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, a one-tailed t-test (α = 0.05) is conducted. Based on the results of the t-test, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Visual Thinking Strategy (VTS) learning method on students' ability to write procedural texts in the tenth grade at SMK Swasta Markus 2 Medan, with the final results categorized as good. Abstract

Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam khususnya pada materi sistem pencernaan, seringkali belum memberikan kesempatan yang cukup bagi murid untuk berpartisipasi secara aktif dan menyampaikan tanggapan mereka terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran yang berlangsung di kelas. Kondisi ini mendorong perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih inovatif dan berpusat pada murid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon murid terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur pada materi sistem pencernaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 31 murid dari kelas VIIIB SMP Negeri 1 Paciran. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar angket yang berisi 14 pernyataan dengan skala Likert 4 poin untuk menilai tanggapan murid terhadap berbagai aspek kegiatan pembelajaran yang telah dilaksanakan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung persentase kesetujuan murid terhadap setiap pernyataan dalam angket tersebut. Hasil respon murid setelah dilaksanakannya pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas murid memberikan tanggapan yang positif terhadap seluruh kegiatan pembelajaran yang telah dilakukan.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with diverse ethnicities, religions, and cultures, making it crucial to instill an attitude of tolerance from an early age through education. This study aims to analyze the implementation of integrated social studies learning based on multicultural values ​​in shaping students' attitudes of tolerance. This study used a qualitative approach with a literature review method of relevant scientific articles from 2016–2026. Data was obtained from Google Scholar and Garuda, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed that multicultural-based social studies learning was able to significantly increase attitudes of tolerance, empathy, and appreciation for diversity. Learning strategies such as group discussions, project-based learning, and collaborative models proved effective in integrating multicultural values. However, there are still obstacles such as limited teacher understanding, lack of learning innovation, and a lack of relevant teaching materials. Therefore, it is necessary to improve teacher competence and develop contextual learning so that the implementation of multicultural education can run optimally in shaping students' attitudes of tolerance.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Giving Question and Getting Answers cooperative learning model in improving high school students’ critical thinking skills and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection involved observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis employed an interactive model through data collection, data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. To ensure the accuracy of the data, the researcher employed triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that 1) students’ critical thinking skills through the implementation of the cooperative learning model of Learning type Giving Question and Getting Answer are shown by the ability to understand question, analyze, evaluate, conclude, and express opinions logically, although not evenly distributed among all students; 2) supporting factors include encauraging student collaboration, training student responsibility, increating interaction, between students, training in expressing opinions, direction from teachers, student enthuasiasm, and the use of tools that make it easier for students. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include not all students daring to ask questions or express opinions, differences in understanding of the material, lengthy discussion times, the persistence of students’ lack of participation, and limited learning resources.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and financial behavior on students' investment interest. The background of this study is based on the low investment interest of students, indicated by the dominance of neutral to disagree responses on various investment interest indicators. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires. The population in this study were students of the Economics Education Study Program at Nusa Cendana University, class of 2022-2025, with a sample of 209 respondents determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination test. The results showed that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on investment interest with a coefficient value of 0.539 and a significance of 0.000. Financial behavior also has a positive and significant effect on investment interest with a coefficient value of 0.335 and a significance of 0.000. Simultaneously, financial literacy and financial behavior have a significant effect on investment interest with a calculated F value of 159.661 and a significance of 0.000. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination test results showed an R-square value of 0.608, indicating that the two independent variables were able to explain 60.8% of the variation in investment interest, while the remainder was influenced by factors outside the study. Therefore, it can be concluded that improving financial literacy and financial behavior are important factors in increasing students' investment interest.Keywords: Financial Literacy, Financial Behavior, Consumer Behavior

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and contribution of each regional tax sub-sector to the Regional Original Income (PAD) of Jambi City during the 2011–2024 period. The research method used is library research with secondary data sourced from the Regional Government Financial Report (LKPD) and the Budget Realization Report (LRA) of the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency (BPPRD) of Jambi City. Data analysis was carried out using effectiveness analysis by comparing tax realization against the set targets, as well as contribution analysis by comparing the realization of each tax to the total PAD realization. The results show that Land and Building Acquisition Fee (BPHTB) and PPJ have the highest level of effectiveness and contribution among all regional tax sub-sectors. Conversely, Groundwater Tax has the lowest level of effectiveness and contribution. Street Lighting Tax also shows a significant contribution to PAD. Overall, regional taxes play an important role in supporting PAD growth, but optimization efforts in several sub-sectors are still needed to improve the fiscal independence of Jambi City.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of market day activities in developing early childhood social-emotional skills at TK Model Negeri Panyabungan. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of study. The research subjects include group B children, teachers, and the school principal. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the market day activity is carried out through several stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the implementation stage, children act as sellers and buyers, allowing them to interact directly. This activity has been proven to develop children's social-emotional skills, such as cooperation, communication, sharing, emotional regulation, and fostering self-confidence and responsibility. Therefore, market day activities can be an effective learning strategy in developing early childhood social emotional skills.
