Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educational leaders and managers in supporting policy reform through the implementation of technology-based strategic and transformational leadership. In the digital era, educational institutions are required to adapt to dynamic policy changes, thus requiring visionary, adaptive, and innovative leadership. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature studies and descriptive analysis of various scientific sources related to educational leadership and digital transformation. The results show that educational leaders have a crucial role in formulating strategic visions, managing organizational change, and integrating technology into decision-making and learning processes. Transformational leadership has been shown to improve the motivation, performance, and participation of all stakeholders in the implementation of educational policies. Meanwhile, the use of technology strengthens management effectiveness, transparency, and accountability in the education system. Thus, the synergy between strategic, transformational, and technology leadership is key to the success of sustainable educational policy reform.

Abstract

This study examines how teachers and students perceive the implementation of project based learning in Civic Education (PKn) in a fourth grade elementary classroom and identifies factors that influence its implementation. The study addresses the need to understand classroom experiences during project based instruction and how these experiences shape learning engagement. A qualitative case study design was employed, involving a fourth grade teacher and students as research participants. Data were collected through structured interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the implementation of project based learning is shaped by several interconnected factors, including the use of driving questions, the organization of project activities, group collaboration, and the relevance of learning materials to students’ real life contexts. Students demonstrated active participation during project activities, showed positive responses toward collaborative work, and engaged in simple discussions to complete assigned tasks. The study indicates that project based learning creates a structured yet flexible learning environment that supports student involvement and contextual understanding. It concludes that the effectiveness of project based learning depends on how teachers design and manage project activities in alignment with classroom conditions.

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of sarcasm in the lyrics of six songs from the album Membangun dan Menghancurkan (2024) by the band .Feast, namely "Membangun", "Konsekumens", "Masimarah", "Arteri", "Tarot", and "5", with a total of 26 sarcastic lyric quotes. Using Aminuddin's (1995) stylistic approach combined with Gorys Keraf's (2009) classification of sarcasm as a sharp satirical figurative language style, it was found that the functions were spread out into emotive (11 lyrics, for example: "Your badness is displayed openly" expressing anger), persuasive (4, for example: "In the air your sins are completely recorded" persuading digital awareness), symbolic (8, for example: "I build God myself" symbol of personal values), and social criticism (7, for example: "The five-year cycle of building and destroying" repeated political mockery), while the meaning was dominated by social criticism (11, for example: "Forced to be proud and love the country, cursed to finance the minister's house" mocking forced nationalism), symbolic (10), emotive (6), and persuasive (3), with some overlap and multiple functions. This album reflects a shift from the social criticism of the previous album to a personal theme of self-transformation, although it remains critical of political hypocracy, urban inequality, and social media ethics in contemporary Indonesia. The descriptive qualitative method involves data collection from original lyrics, analysis of implicit meanings, and aesthetic effects, showing sarcasm as an effective tool for emotional expression, provocation of reflection, and subtle satire that enrich the stylistics of local pop-rock music. This research is relevant for literary education to integrate song lyrics as teaching materials for stylistic analysis, encouraging listeners' critical awareness of social reality.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the text comprehension of sixth-grade students at SDN Mannuruki through the implementation of visual literacy integration in Indonesian language learning. The background of this research is based on the low level of students’ text comprehension, as indicated by their difficulties in identifying main ideas, finding important information, and drawing conclusions from reading texts. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this research were 25 sixth-grade students of SDN Mannuruki. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The action implemented was the integration of reading texts with visual media such as images to support students in understanding the content more effectively. The results showed that the implementation of visual literacy integration improved students’ text comprehension. This improvement was indicated by the increase in learning mastery from 24% in the first cycle to 72% in the second cycle . In addition, students’ participation, interest, and engagement in the learning process also increased. In conclusion, the integration of visual literacy is effective in improving the text comprehension of sixth-grade students at SDN Mannuruki.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Bralancing (Brain Balance Learning) learning model assisted by ethnomathematic Flipbook media on the numeracy literacy of fourth-grade students of Elementary School Cluster I, Busungbiu District. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type and a nonequivalent control group design. The study population was all fourth-grade students of Elementary School Cluster I, Busungbiu District, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data were collected through numeracy literacy tests, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis (normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test). The results showed that there was a significant effect of the use of the Bralancing model assisted by ethnomathematic Flipbook on students' numeracy literacy. This was indicated by the increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class which was higher than the control class. The Bralancing model was able to optimize the balance of right and left brain work and increase student engagement, while the ethnomathematic Flipbook media provided a contextual and interesting learning experience. Thus, the Bralancing model assisted by ethnomathematic Flipbook media was effectively used as an innovative alternative in improving elementary school students' numeracy literacy. Abstract

Learning discipline is an essential factor in determining the success of the educational process in schools. However, various disciplinary problems often occur involving both students and teachers. This study aims to analyze the problems of learning discipline between students and teachers in the implementation of Teaching Professional Practice at MA Al-Muhdi and to identify causal factors and solutions. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that learning discipline problems include student tardiness, lack of attention during learning, and inconsistency in enforcing classroom rules by teachers. In addition, less varied teaching methods and weak educational communication also influence discipline levels. This study contributes an integrative analysis covering both student and teacher discipline. Therefore, innovative strategies, effective communication, and consistent rule enforcement are necessary to create a conducive learning environment.

Abstract

Student attendance constitutes a fundamental indicator of instructional continuity and character development in madrasah education. Irregular and low attendance rates remain evident at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Muhdi, thus requiring systematic educational interventions involving both teachers and parents. This study aims to analyze the initial condition of student attendance, the implementation of the home visit program, the forms of teachers’ personal approaches, and the effectiveness of these strategies in improving student attendance during the Teaching Practice (PPK) program. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with triangulation techniques. The findings reveal that the home visit program strengthened school–family partnerships and increased parental involvement in monitoring students’ learning. Teachers’ personal approaches, implemented through individualized guidance and interpersonal communication, improved students’ motivation and discipline awareness. Overall, these strategies significantly enhanced student attendance and consistency.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is an essential skill that must be mastered by elementary school students to support their learning process. However, several students still experience difficulties in understanding reading texts. This study aims to analyze the difficulties in reading comprehension experienced by third grade students at SDN Bibis Luhur 1 Surakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year, identify students’ reading activities at home, and determine the factors that influence these difficulties. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study strategy. The subjects of this study were third grade students, the classroom teacher, and students’ parents. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and reading comprehension tests. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and method triangulation, while data analysis used an interactive analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that several students experienced difficulties in understanding reading texts, especially in identifying the main idea, understanding the content of the text, and answering questions related to the reading. These difficulties were influenced by several factors such as low reading interest, lack of reading practice at home, and limited parental support in guiding reading activities. Therefore, collaboration between teachers and parents is needed to improve students’ reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

Penelitian fenomenologi transendental ini bertujuan memahami secara mendalam pengalaman subjektif guru ekonomi dalam menghadapi tantangan evaluasi Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PjBL) pada Kurikulum Merdeka di Kota Medan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap lima guru ekonomi yang dipilih secara purposif. Analisis menggunakan metode Stevick-Colaizzi-Keen (Moustakas, 1994) mengungkap lima kluster makna esensial: (1) kebingungan instrumental yang berdimensi eksistensial dalam merancang rubrik; (2) dilema moral dalam mewujudkan keadilan penilaian individu pada kerja kelompok; (3) tekanan struktural akibat alokasi waktu yang mengancam integritas evaluasi; (4) disonansi standar dan bias persepsi tersadari dalam menilai keberagaman produk proyek; serta (5) transformasi identitas profesional dari penilai produk menjadi fasilitator yang menghargai proses berpikir siswa. Sintesis esensi mengungkapkan pengalaman guru sebagai perjalanan transformatif dari ketidakpastian eksistensial menuju penemuan makna kejujuran profesional dan adaptivitas, diperkuat oleh solidaritas komunal dalam komunitas belajar. Temuan ini berimplikasi pada perlunya pendampingan profesional yang menyentuh dimensi psikologis guru, reformasi kalender akademik, dan penguatan komunitas praktik sebagai sumber resiliensi.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low problem-solving skills of students in learning mathematics in elementary school. Observations in class IV B at SD Negeri 08 Lubuk Layang showed that students had difficulty understanding story problems, identifying important information, and determining steps to solve them, which affected students' academic performance. To address this problem, computational thinking (CT) was used, emphasizing a systematic thinking process through decomposition, pattern recognition, and abstraction. This study aims to describe the design of the teaching module, the implementation of learning, and the improvement of students' problem-solving skills using a CT approach on the number pattern material for class IV at SD Negeri 08 Lubuk Layang. This study used classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research procedures included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 14 students of class IV B. Data collection techniques use test and non-test techniques, while data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The research results show that students' problem-solving skills increased from an average of 71.8% in cycle I to 93.6% in cycle II. Thus, the CT approach is effective in improving students' problem- solving skills in number pattern material in elementary school.
