Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of recycled-material-based learning within the Early Childhood Education curriculum at TK Bina Anaprasa Cempaka III. The focus is on how this approach is implemented to support children’s learning activeness and learning motivation in classroom activities. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving 20 children aged 5–6 years and one classroom teacher. Data were collected through passive participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study is expected to provide insights into the use of recycled materials as learning media to create more engaging, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences, while encouraging children’s active participation in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educational leaders and managers in supporting policy reform through the implementation of technology-based strategic and transformational leadership. In the digital era, educational institutions are required to adapt to dynamic policy changes, thus requiring visionary, adaptive, and innovative leadership. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature studies and descriptive analysis of various scientific sources related to educational leadership and digital transformation. The results show that educational leaders have a crucial role in formulating strategic visions, managing organizational change, and integrating technology into decision-making and learning processes. Transformational leadership has been shown to improve the motivation, performance, and participation of all stakeholders in the implementation of educational policies. Meanwhile, the use of technology strengthens management effectiveness, transparency, and accountability in the education system. Thus, the synergy between strategic, transformational, and technology leadership is key to the success of sustainable educational policy reform.

Abstract

The lack of interest of students in participating in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects about the life cycle of animals in the form of the life cycle of butterflies is a problem in itself, it is influenced by monotonous learning methods where teachers tend to rely only on lecture methods, as a result students are less actively involved and not trained in developing critical thinking skills. coupled with the lack of use of learning media such as books and whiteboards, which are used conventionally without variety of methods, thus causing the learning atmosphere to become boring and making students lose enthusiasm in participating in learning activities in the classroom, The impact of this is the inhibition of the process of developing students' critical thinking skills, especially in science subjects. This research was conducted to provide stimulation and a positive impact in optimizing students' thinking processes in carrying out teaching and learning activities through a two-dimensional audio-visual method in the form of animation media. Qualitative research methods are research procedures that produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from subjects or observable behaviors, this method emphasizes the context as a whole (holistic), using a humanistic approach. Based on the results and discussion of this research, animation media plays a very important role in increasing enthusiasm and forming students' critical thinking processes through two-dimensional audio-visual media, it will make it easier for each student to illustrate the material presented in the IPAS subject about the material of the life cycle of animals in accordance with the life cycle cycle of butterfly animals. Even the principal and teachers gave a very positive response in the implementation of animation media because it has the effectiveness in increasing enthusiasm, attention, and critical thinking towards students in carrying out learning activities in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of social media platforms on the character formation and behavior of children in Sipayo Village, Sidoan Subdistrict, Parigi Moutong Regency. Amid the rapid advancement of digital technology, social media offers various benefits as well as challenges for the younger generation in rural areas. On one hand, these platforms facilitate children’s access to new knowledge, enhance communication, and foster creativity. On the other hand, uncontrolled usage often leads to decreased motivation and discipline in learning, reduced direct interaction with parents, excessive gadget dependency, susceptibility to uneducational trends, and the emergence of impolite attitudes and language.The research problems are focused on two main aspects: the forms of children’s behavior that emerge as a result of social media exposure, and the types of digital platforms most dominantly used by children in the village. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research was conducted in Sipayo Village. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, and analysis of related documents.Data analysis was carried out in stages, starting from data reduction, data presentation, to conclusion drawing. To ensure the validity of the findings, the researcher applied triangulation techniques covering sources, methods, and time.It is hoped that the results of this study will provide an in-depth description of social media usage patterns among village children, such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp, as well as various positive and negative behaviors that appear in family and community environments. These findings are expected to serve as valuable considerations for parents, teachers, and related stakeholders in developing strategies to improve digital literacy and strengthen character education for children in the current digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender representation and power relations in the films Our Times. It uses a qualitative method with a discourse analysis approach, based on scenes and dialogues. The Results show that the film represents gender through traditional stereotypes, where male characters are dominant and female characters are subordinate. However, the female character develops into a more independent figure as a form of resistance. Power relations are reflected in social interactions and are dynamic. In conclusion, the film not only reflects gender inequality but also shows the potential for change.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the semiotic aspects in the novel Laut Bercerita by Leila Salikha Chudoriusing Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory. The research focuses on identifying and analyzing signs in theform of icons, indices, and symbols in the novel, as well as how these signs represent the profound meaningsembedded within the text. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with hermeneutic methods,involving an in-depth analysis of the novel's text and context. The data consists of relevant excerpts from the novel,such as characters, dialogues, and settings, analyzed through a semiotic lens. The findings reveal that icons inthe novel often depict visual and emotional qualities, such as the sound of waves symbolizing resistance. Indiceshighlight causal and existential relationships, such as the physical injuries of characters reflecting trauma.Symbols enrich the narrative, such as the sea, which represents emotional depth and internal conflict. Throughsemiotic analysis, this study successfully unveils the main themes of the novel, including historical trauma,struggle, and hope. This research is expected to contribute to Indonesian literary studies, particularly inunderstanding literary works through a semiotic approach

Abstract

The process of instilling the values of tawhid in the da’wah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during the Meccan period was shaped by the conditions of Jahiliyyah society, which was characterized by polytheism, moral crisis, and social inequality. This study aims to analyze the da’wah methods employed by the Prophet, the values of tawhid that were instilled, and their implications for social change within society. This study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, drawing from books, scientific journals, and relevant literature. The findings indicate that the Prophet’s da’wah in Mecca was conducted in stages through the sirriyah and jahriyah methods, utilizing persuasive, rational, and exemplary approaches. The values of tawhid were not only taught as theological concepts but also served as the foundation for shaping moral character and a just and civilized social order. Thus, tawhid played a central role as the primary foundation in the transformation of society from a state of ignorance (jahiliyah) toward a society of faith and morality

Abstract

This study aims to explore Muhammad Arkoun's thoughts as a reference for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in understanding Islamic criticism and revelation contextually. Utilizing a literature study method with a qualitative-descriptive approach, data were collected through documentation techniques from various primary and secondary sources. The results indicate that Muhammad Arkoun is a revolutionary figure who challenged traditional paradigms in Islamic studies through hermeneutic approaches and literary criticism. His thinking was significantly influenced by Western philosophy (such as the hermeneutics of Paul Ricoeur and Gadamer), Algerian postcolonial perspectives, and the historical sociology of Ibn Khaldun. Arkoun emphasized the importance of reading the Quran by considering historical and social dimensions to avoid rigid and literal interpretations. His primary contribution lies in the effort to deconstruct traditional Islamic reason (turath) to open space for Islamic thought that is more dynamic, inclusive, and relevant to modern challenges. This research concludes that Arkoun’s ideas are highly urgent for religious educators in developing a multidisciplinary PAI curriculum that is adaptive to social changes.

Abstract

This research examines how students’ lateness behavior influences the implementation process and outcomes of cognitive assessment at SMA PGRI 03 Palembang. A descriptive qualitative design was applied involving 30 students consisting of 25 male and 5 female participants. Findings revealed that frequent tardiness disrupted students’ mental preparedness and logical thinking processes, which subsequently affected their cognitive assessment performance, especially in critical reasoning tasks. Transportation limitations and ineffective time management were identified as dominant contributing factors, particularly among male students. To address this issue, the application of behavioral contract strategies within group guidance activities is proposed as an effort to strengthen discipline and enhance overall learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept of concept-based and problem-solving learning strategies and their role in improving the quality of the learning process. This study employed a qualitative approach with library research. Data were obtained from various sources, such as books, scientific journals, research articles, and academic documents relevant to the research topic. Data collection was conducted through documentation studies, reviewing various references related to concept-based and problem-solving learning strategies. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods, reviewing, comparing, and interpreting various theories and previous research findings. The results indicate that concept-based learning strategies can help students understand material more deeply through understanding the relationships between concepts. Meanwhile, problem-solving learning strategies can improve students' critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as their ability to solve various problems. Several studies analyzed also demonstrated improvements in learning outcomes, learning activities, and student participation in the learning process after implementing these two strategies. Thus, concept-based and problem-solving learning strategies can be effective learning approaches to improve the quality of the learning process and develop students' higher-order thinking skills.
