Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach in improving elementary school students’ problem-solving and mathematical representation abilities. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing various relevant journal articles. The findings indicate that the RME approach enhances students’ problem-solving skills through a systematic thinking process, including understanding the problem, planning strategies, implementing solutions, and evaluating results. In addition, RME improves students’ mathematical representation abilities in various forms, such as visual, symbolic, verbal, and tabular or graphical representations. These two abilities are closely interconnected and mutually supportive in developing a more comprehensive understanding of mathematics. Therefore, the RME approach is considered effective and relevant in creating meaningful mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role and implementation of academic supervision by elementary school principals in the digital era and its implications for improving the quality of learning and teacher professionalism. The background of this study is based on the demands of educational transformation due to the development of digital technology, which requires principals to adapt more innovative and technology-based supervision practices. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various sources in the form of books, scientific journals, and relevant research results. Data collection techniques were carried out through searching, selecting, and analyzing the content of literature to obtain a comprehensive picture of academic supervision in the digital era. The results of the study indicate that academic supervision has shifted from a conventional approach to a more flexible, efficient, and sustainable digital approach. Technology-based supervision has been proven to improve teacher performance, pedagogical competence, and professionalism through the use of digital platforms and online learning systems. Furthermore, the success of supervision is greatly influenced by the adaptive, innovative, and collaborative leadership of principals. However, the implementation of academic supervision in the digital era still faces various challenges, such as limited infrastructure, low teacher digital literacy, and resistance to change. Therefore, a comprehensive strategy is needed through training, mentoring, and strengthening a technology-based school culture. Thus, academic supervision by school principals in the digital era plays a strategic role in continuously improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of 5E Learning Cycle-based instructional materials in improving elementary school students’ science process skills. This study utilized the Research and Development (R&D) method based on the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fifth-grade elementary school students in Pekanbaru. The research instruments consisted of science process skills tests administered as pretests and posttests. The data analysis techniques employed included a normality test, a paired-sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results indicated that there was a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest scores after using the 5E Learning Cycle-based instructional materials. Additionally, the N-Gain analysis results showed that the improvement in students’ science process skills fell into the moderate category. Thus, 5E Learning Cycle-based instructional materials are effective for improving the science process skills of elementary school students. The implications of this study suggest that the use of instructional materials designed according to the stages of the 5E Learning Cycle can support more active and meaningful learning and optimally develop students’ science process skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of adaptive leadership by principals in improving team performance and teacher professionalism in elementary schools. The research background is based on the importance of the principal's role as an educational leader who not only possesses technical competence but also adapts to the dynamics and challenges of the school environment. This study used a qualitative approach with stages of orientation, exploration, concept verification, and reliability analysis. Data were obtained through an in-depth study of principal leadership practices in a real-world context. The results indicate that adaptive leadership is manifested through three main aspects: diagnostic leadership, the creation of a comfortable and conducive work environment, and humanistic leadership. Diagnostic maintenance is carried out through observation and identification of comprehensive school conditions before policymaking. Creating a conducive work environment can improve team cohesion, motivation, and collaboration among teachers. Meanwhile, humanistic leadership, demonstrated through openness, appreciation, and emotional support, contributes to increased teacher motivation and professionalism. Thus, the adaptive leadership of principals has proven to be key to continuously improving the quality of education.

Abstract

Education is the main foundation in driving the progress of the nation, yet the phenomenon of bullying remains a serious challenge in Indonesian education. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education reinforcement in reducing cases of bullying among students at SD 04 Patamuan Padang Pariaman. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, where teachers are the main population of the research. The results show that there are many forms of bullying, including verbal ridicule, calling parents' names, and social exclusion. Prevention efforts are carried out through the "Saturday Cleaning" program, religious activities, socialization about the impact of bullying, as well as strengthening the role of class teachers as student counselors. In conclusion, character education reinforcement through habituation of noble values and the consistent exemplary behavior of teachers is effective in reducing bullying rates and shaping personality

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the qualification of unlawful acts by the government in issuing trade policies that result in corporate investment losses, as well as to examine the form of government legal liability and the considerations of the Supreme Court in Decision Number 3091 K/Pdt/2025. This research is a normative legal study employing statutory and case approaches. The results indicate that investment losses arising from government policies cannot automatically be classified as unlawful acts unless all elements stipulated in Article 1365 of the Indonesian Civil Code are fulfilled. In the decision, the Supreme Court considered that government policy constitutes a legitimate exercise of authority in protecting the public interest, and therefore does not meet the elements of unlawfulness and fault. Consequently, the government cannot be held civilly liable in the form of compensation. This study also shows that investment losses resulting from government policies are part of policy risk that must be anticipated by investors. Thus, legal protection for investment is not absolute, but must be balanced with the government’s authority in carrying out its regulatory functions. This research is expected to contribute to the development of law related to investment protection and government accountability in public policy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keaktifan belajar siswa sekolah dasar akibat penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang masih konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media interaktif Educaplay dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis 14 artikel ilmiah yang relevan pada rentang tahun 2020–2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Educaplay secara konsisten mampu meningkatkan keaktifan siswa, yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya partisipasi, interaksi, keberanian bertanya, serta keterlibatan dalam diskusi dan penyelesaian tugas. Berbagai jenis fitur seperti kuis interaktif, game edukatif, dan aktivitas berbasis gamifikasi terbukti menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan. Kesimpulannya, media Educaplay efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa sekolah dasar dan dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dal am pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of implementing small games to improve volleyball learning outcomes for class XI F5 students at SMA N 7 Jambi City in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study focuses on improving conventional teaching methods and the lack of student participation, resulting in the KKM score not being achieved. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to students (as primary data) and conducting interviews with physical education teachers (as supporting data). After all questionnaires were collected, the data were analyzed quantitatively using a percentage formula. Based on the results of the two research cycles, there were significant differences. In the initial action, only 4 students or 13% of the total 31 students achieved completeness. After implementing small games such as chain passing and volleyball, the number of students who completed in cycle I increased to 15 people with a percentage of 48%. However, because the target for class completion was 70%, the study continued to cycle II. In cycle II, the number of students who achieved completeness became 31 people with class completion reaching 100%. Existing data demonstrates that learning using mini-games can significantly increase the percentage of students completing their learning. This demonstrates that students' understanding and practice in learning using mini-games like chain passing and volleyball can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the roles of teachers and parents in instilling multicultural values ​​in fourth-grade students at SDN Merjosari 1 Malang City, as well as the forms of collaboration between the two. The method used was a qualitative case study approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that teachers acted as designers, implementers, and role models, while parents instilled values ​​through habituation at home. Obstacles identified included students' exclusive attitudes and lack of communication. Reinforcement strategies were implemented through integrated learning and classroom dialogue. In conclusion, the synergy between teachers and parents is crucial in shaping students' tolerant, empathetic, and inclusive character.

Abstract

Theoretically sound educational ideas and media for teaching are often easier to discuss and debate than their practical implementation in the classroom. Consequently, the purpose of this research is to find problems with the use of learning theories and pedagogical tools. In order to provide a thorough analysis, this research uses a mixed-methods case study methodology, which combines quantitative data with qualitative results. Two science instructors and twenty-six third graders from an elementary school participated in the research. After gathering data via surveys, in-depth interviews, and observational studies, the researchers examined the quantitative data using descriptive statistics and the qualitative findings using thematic analysis. Using visual aids like photos and videos helps 73% of students understand the topic better, while narrative-based learning engages 65% of students. Students' inability to conceptualize abstract ideas is exacerbated by an over-reliance on textbooks, according to field observations, which in turn causes extreme boredom and disengagement. So, it's safe to say that the absence of visual and narrative components is the biggest problem with IPAS lessons. In order to improve students' motivation and critical thinking abilities in the digital age, this research suggests integrating digital storytelling technology with interactive visual media.
