Abstract

This research uses a quantitative approach with a type of experimental research in the form of Quasi Experimental Design. The problem addressed in this study was the low level of students’ critical thinking skills at SD Negeri 023 Kebunsari. Based on it, the formulation of research problem are: (1) how is the implementation of the deep learning approach based on concept mapping among students at SD Negeri 023 Kebunsari? (2) how are the critical thinking skills of students at SD Negeri 023 Kebunsari? (3) is there any effect of the implementation of the deep learning approach based on concept mapping on students’ critical thinking skills at SD Negeri 023 Kebunsari? The independent variable in this study was the deep learning approach based on concept mapping, while the dependent variable was students’ critical thinking skills. The research population of this study consisted of all students of SD Negeri 023 Kebunsari total of 45 students, while the research samples were grade V.A students with 23 students as the experimental calss and grade V.B with 22 students as the control class. The Data collection techniques used in this research were observation of learning implementation, performance test which was conducted twice critical thinking skills test in the form of multiple-choice questions administered through pretest and posttest, as well as documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that students’ critical thinking skills in the experimental class increase after being given the concept mapping treatment. Based on hypothesis testing, the significance value was less than 0.05, indicating that there is an effect of the implementation of the deep learning approach based on concept mapping on students’ critical thinking skills at SD Negeri 023 Kebunsari.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Balumbo Biduk tradition of Sarolangun Regency as a local cultural heritage as well as a medium for strengthening character education in Elementary Schools. The study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research types and a phenomenological approach to understand the meaning of cultural values ​​​​based on the perspective of tradition practitioners. The research subjects included traditional leaders, organizing committees, elementary school teachers, and fourth-grade students selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature studies. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with validity tests through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that the Balumbo Biduk tradition not only functions as a community cultural activity, but also contains character values ​​​​relevant to Strengthening Character Education (PPK), namely religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity. The value of mutual cooperation is reflected in community cooperation, the value of discipline and integrity is seen in compliance with competition rules, and the value of tolerance and nationalism is seen through community participation across religions and social backgrounds. The integration of the Balumbo Biduk tradition into social studies, civics, Indonesian language, and arts and culture has been proven to increase student participation, cultural awareness, and collaborative attitudes. Thus, Balumbo Biduk can be positioned as an effective contextual learning resource to support local cultural preservation while strengthening character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Fiqh learning on the topic of zakat al-fitr in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is still frequently conducted using conventional lecture-based methods, which tend to result in low student participation and limited understanding. This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation process of the role-playing learning model assisted by mini-drama media in teaching the topic of zakat al-fitr, (2) examine the level of understanding of fifth-grade students after participating in learning activities using this model and media, and (3) identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 26 fifth-grade students, one fiqh teacher, and the principal of MI Al–Islamiyah Karanganyar Paiton as supporting informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the role-playing model supported by mini-drama media was carried out systematically through several stages, including planning, role-playing activities, discussion, and reflection. The learning process became more active, interactive, and engaging, which contributed to improving students’ understanding of zakat al-fitr material in both cognitive and affective aspects. Most students were able to clearly re-explain the concept of zakat al-fitr, its rules and regulations, and its practical implementation. The main supporting factors were students’ enthusiasm and strong support from the teacher, while the inhibiting factors included limited instructional time and students’ lack of self-confidence at the beginning of the learning process. This study concludes that the role-playing learning model supported by mini-drama media is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of zakat al-fitr material. The implication of this research highlights the importance of teachers being more creative in selecting innovative learning models. Furthermore, future researchers are recommended to examine the effectiveness of this model in other fiqh learning topics.

Abstract

This research is based on the application of Project Based Learning with Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) which is less than optimal and requires a more interesting learning process and can improve the quality of learning for fifth grade student in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning. This research aims to describe the application of the Project Based Learning model with the TPACK approach in IPAS learning in fifth grade elementary schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative analysis method. The research subject were 2 teachers and 10 fifth grade student. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. The result of the study indicate that the application of the project based learning model with the quality of learning and motivate students in the learning process. Teachers have a good conceptual understanding of PjBL with the TPACK approach and this standard covers all PjBL syntax starting from problem determination, planning, project implementation, to evaluation. This technology integration helps smooth concepts into visuals that are easy to understand and is proven by positive student responses showing interesting, interactive, and meaningful learning. Overall, the implementation of the TPACK-based PjBL model has been proven to be able to create active, collaborative learning that is in accordance with the characteristics of 21st-century students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies of early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in implementing deep learning-based instruction using animal prop educational play tools at KB Ceria Bandar. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with PAUD teachers as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The study focuses on teacher strategies in planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors. The findings reveal that teachers apply systematic strategies in three stages. In the planning stage, activities are designed based on themes and children's characteristics. During implementation, teachers act as facilitators who encourage exploration and meaning-making through play. In the evaluation stage, continuous assessment is conducted on children’s development. The use of educational play tools enhances engagement, understanding, and learning quality. Supporting factors include teacher creativity and student enthusiasm, while limitations involve inadequate facilities and teachers’ understanding of deep learning concepts.

Abstract

The research problem in this study is whether the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by audio-visual media can improve students’ learning outcomes in the IPAS (Integrated Science and Social Studies) subject in Grade V of SDN 3 Botupingge. This study aims to enhance students’ learning outcomes through the application of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media in the IPAS subject. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 23 fifth-grade students of SDN 3 Botupingge. The results indicated that in Cycle I, of the 23 students उपस्थित, the percentage of students who achieved mastery learning was 34.78%. In Cycle II, the percentage significantly increased to 91.70%. The predetermined success indicator, namely that at least 75% of students achieve mastery learning, was successfully attained. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by audio-visual media effectively improves students’ learning outcomes in the IPAS subject in Grade V of SDN 3 Botupingge.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes meaningful learning and deep conceptual understanding, while in practice, IPAS learning at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level remains teacher-centered and focused on memorization, resulting in low student engagement and conceptual comprehension. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Deep Learning approach in IPAS learning for fourth-grade students at MI Islam Purwokerto Srengat Blitar. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation involving fourth-grade teachers and students. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that the implementation of the Deep Learning approach is carried out through three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, teachers design lesson plans that encourage active student participation. In the implementation stage, learning activities involve group discussions, observations, questioning, and problem-solving related to real-life contexts. The evaluation stage assesses both the learning process and outcomes reflecting students’ conceptual understanding. The findings show that the Deep Learning approach creates a more active and meaningful learning process, improves critical thinking skills, and strengthens the connection between learning materials and students’ real-life experiences.

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan spiritual umat Islam, raja', atau berharap kepada Allah, merupakan konsep penting yang mencerminkan optimisme ilahi, terutama dalam menghadapi cobaan hidup. Sayangnya, dalam berbagai kajian literatur keagamaan, pembahasan raja' cenderung terpinggirkan dan lebih berfokus pada aspek moralitas, keimanan, rasa takut, dan sebagainya. Padahal, raja' berperan fundamental dalam membangun hubungan emosional dan spiritual antara seorang hamba dengan Tuhannya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisi celah tersebut dengan mengkaji secara mendalam representasi nilai raja' dalam novel Assalamu'alaikum Baitullah karya Asma Nadia. Novel ini dipilih karena secara naratif menggambarkan perjalanan spiritual tokoh utama, Amira, dalam melaksanakan ibadah haji yang penuh dengan refleksi dan pergulatan batin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis dengan pendekatan literatur keagamaan. Sumber data diambil dari kutipan-kutipan dalam teks yang mencerminkan sikap raja' tokoh utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan enam bentuk representasi raja’: (1) harapan akan kebaikan Tuhan, (2) keyakinan bahwa orang baik akan dilindungi, (3) harapan akan rahmat-Nya, (4) harapan akan diterimanya ibadah, (5) harapan akan kesembuhan, dan (6) harapan akan bimbingan hidup. Temuan-temuan ini menegaskan bahwa karya sastra dapat menjadi media reflektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keagamaan, khususnya raja’, sebagai kekuatan spiritual yang memperkuat keimanan, menumbuhkan keikhlasan, dan membimbing individu menuju kedekatan dengan Tuhan. Representasi-representasi ini menunjukkan bahwa novel ini tidak hanya menyajikan kisah perjalanan spiritual, tetapi juga menyampaikan pesan moral yang kuat mengenai pentingnya raja’ dalam memperkuat keimanan dan kesabaran. Temuan-temuan ini memperkaya kajian sastra Islam dengan menunjukkan peran sastra dalam membangun kesadaran spiritual pembaca melalui narasi-narasi keagamaan yang mendalam.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the critical thinking skills of students taught using the Polya Problem Solving Technique; (2) describe the critical thinking skills of students taught using a conventional learning model; and (3) analyze the differences between the two groups on sound wave material at State Senior High School 12 Bulukumba. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a quantitative approach using a Matching Only Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population includes all 11th-grade students, while the sample was selected through a two-step matching sampling technique, resulting in two classes: class XI D as the experimental group and class XI A as the control group. The research instrument was a validated multiple-choice test consisting of 20 items measuring critical thinking skills. Data analysis was conducted both descriptively and inferentially, including tests of normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. Descriptive results showed that students in the experimental class achieved very high critical thinking skills with an average score of 81.76, a minimum of 60, and a maximum of 100. In contrast, the control class was categorized as high, with an average score of 70.00, a minimum of 45, and a maximum of 95. The hypothesis test using an independent samples t-test obtained a significance value (two-tailed) of 0.013, which is less than 0.05. Thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Therefore, the Polya Problem Solving Technique has a positive effect on students’ critical thinking skills and can be used as a reference for future research.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought significant changes in the field of education, requiring innovation in designing effective learning. This study aims to analyze the integration of technology and educational psychology principles in learning design in the digital era through a systematic literature review approach. Data were collected from various scientific databases, such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Springer, and Taylor & Francis, covering publications from 2020 to 2025. The results show that the integration of technology supported by educational psychology principles, such as cognitive theory, constructivism, and motivation, can enhance student engagement, learning effectiveness, and critical thinking skills. However, several challenges remain, including teachers’ limited competence in pedagogically integrating technology, inadequate infrastructure, and the lack of optimal integration among technology, pedagogy, and content aspects. Therefore, comprehensive strategies are needed, including strengthening teacher competencies, developing innovative instructional designs, and providing adequate policy support and facilities to optimize learning in the digital era
