Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum using a deep learning approach at SD Negeri 1 Kauman Magetan. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, where data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The results indicate that teachers have integrated the three main principles of deep learning: meaningful learning through contextual strategies, mindful learning through routine reflection activities, and joyful learning through varied methods such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and interactive media. This implementation is also oriented towards developing students' 6C competencies. Although effective, the primary challenge identified is the process of shifting students' mindsets from result-oriented to process-oriented, alongside teachers' limited experience with this new approach. Adaptive strategies implemented include thorough planning, collaboration among teachers, and participation in professional workshops. The study concludes that the deep learning approach is capable of realizing more holistic and meaningful learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The objectives of this research and development are (1) to determine the process of developing news text teaching materials assisted by the Genially application for class VII students of SMPN 6 Percut Sei Tuan, (2) to determine the form of news text teaching materials assisted by the Genially application for class VII students of SMPN 6 Percut Sei Tuan, and (3) to determine the level of feasibility of the resulting product in the form of news text teaching materials assisted by the Genially application for class VII students of SMPN 6 Percut Sei Tuan. The development model used in this teaching material development is the Borg and Gall model, but only up to the design revision stage. The data collection methods used in this study were observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of this research and development are: (1) the process of developing news text teaching materials assisted by the Genially application consists of 5 stages, namely (a) the potential and problem analysis stage, (b) data collection, (c) product design, (d) design validation, and (e) design revision; (2) the form of news text teaching materials assisted by the Genially application is in the form of interactive learning media designed to resemble a digital application based on self-navigation and can be accessed by users via an online link; (3) the feasibility of developing news text teaching materials assisted by the Genially application obtained an average value of 4.6 (very feasible) from the material validator and 4.4 (very feasible) from the media validator. The results of this study indicate that news text teaching materials assisted by the Genially application in grade VII of SMPN 6 Percut Sei Tuan are valid and suitable for use in learning news texts.

Abstract

This research is based on the difficulty of reading aloud (reading aloud) of students in class I of SD Negeri Peterongan Semarang, which is characterized by difficulties in recognizing letters, pronouncing words, and lack of confidence when reading. In addition, the use of conventional learning media causes learning to be less interesting and less effective in improving early literacy skills. Therefore, it is necessary to develop learning media that is innovative, interesting, and in accordance with the characteristics of lower grade students, one of which is through the Flibet (Alfabet Flipbook) media. This research aims to find out the feasibility and practicality of the Flibet (Alfabet Flipbook) learning media for reading aloud (reading aloud) 1st grade students of SD Negeri Peterongan Semarang. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model stage (Analyis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Research subjects include media experts, material experts, first grade teachers, and first grade students of Peterongan State Elementary School Semarang. The research results show that the Flibet learning media (Flipbook Alphabet) has obtained a very high level of eligibility with a media expert validation percentage of 99.2% and 94.4% which is included in the very worthy category, as well as a material expert validation percentage of 99.17% and 95.83% which is included in the very decent category. In addition, the results of the practicality test showed that the teacher's response obtained a percentage of 85.33% and the student's response of 91.11%, both of which were included in the very practical category. This media is considered interesting, easy to use, and able to help students in recognizing letters, pronouncing words, and reading aloud with more confidence. Thus, the Flibet learning media (Alfabet Flipbook) is declared very suitable and very practical to be used as a supporting medium for learning to read aloud for primary school first grade students.

Abstract

Planning for the development of madrasah school programs is a strategic element in efforts to improve the quality of education in a sustainable manner. However, in practice, planning is often still administrative and not yet fully based on real-world needs analysis on the ground. This study aims to examine the planning model for the development of school/madrasah programs based on needs analysis as well as its implementation and evaluation strategies in improving the quality of education. The method used is library research with a qualitative descriptive approach through the analysis of various relevant scientific literature sources. The results of the study show that effective program planning must begin with a data-based needs analysis, followed by the formulation of adaptive goals, the preparation of contextual program designs, and the implementation that is carried out in stages. In addition, continuous monitoring and evaluation are important components in ensuring the achievement of program objectives. This study offers a conceptual model in the form of a need-based adaptive planning development cycle that emphasizes the integration between continuous planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The success of the implementation of the model is influenced by various factors, such as the leadership of the principal, teacher competence, the availability of infrastructure, school culture, as well as community participation and policy support. Thus, adaptive and sustainable needs analysis-based planning can increase the effectiveness of school programs and contribute to improving the quality of education optimally.

Abstract

Integrasi Kecerdasan Buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) ke dalam kebijakan pendidikan tinggi telah menjadi salah satu kekuatan transformatif paling signifikan yang mendefinisikan ulang konsep kapital manusia pada abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis relasi antara kebijakan pendidikan tinggi berbasis AI dan transformasi kapital manusia dari perspektif sosiologi pendidikan, dengan perhatian khusus pada persoalan kesetaraan sosial, reproduksi pengetahuan, dan adaptasi kelembagaan dalam konteks Indonesia. Menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur sistematis berpanduan protokol PRISMA, penelitian ini mensintesis 40 studi terindeks yang diterbitkan antara 2018 dan 2024, menggunakan kerangka teori kapital manusia (Becker, 1964), teori reproduksi sosial Bourdieu (1986), dan teori konflik Collins (1979). Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan tinggi berbasis AI berpotensi meningkatkan dimensi kapital manusia kognitif dan teknis secara signifikan, namun sekaligus berisiko memperdalam ketimpangan sosial yang ada melalui kesenjangan akses terhadap alat, infrastruktur, dan literasi AI. Negara-negara seperti China, Finlandia, dan Singapura telah mengembangkan model kebijakan distingtif yang memberikan pelajaran kontekstual bagi Indonesia. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan tinggi berbasis AI yang efektif di Indonesia memerlukan pendekatan pluralistis yang secara simultan menangani reformasi kurikulum, kesetaraan digital, pembangunan kapasitas pendidik, dan tata kelola etis AI dalam lingkungan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimotivasi oleh rendahnya tingkat kemampuan menembak di kalangan pemain sepak bola tingkat universitas, yang dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan metode pelatihan konvensional yang tidak cukup mengintegrasikan aspek fisik dan teknik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode latihan sirkuit terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menembak di kalangan pemain Unit Aktivitas Mahasiswa Sepak Bola di Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimental dengan desain Pretest–Posttest Kelompok Kontrol Non-Ekuivalen. Sampel terdiri dari 30 pemain yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan menembak. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 8,27 menjadi 17,73, sedangkan kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 7,07 menjadi 12,47. Pengujian statistik menunjukkan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05, yang berarti bahwa metode latihan sirkuit memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan menembak. Oleh karena itu, metode latihan sirkuit lebih efektif daripada latihan konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menembak pemain sepak bola .

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by audiovisual media on students’ listening comprehension skills of explanatory texts. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 31 ninth-grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The research instrument was an objective multiple-choice test based on three indicators: text structure, language use, and content comprehension.The results showed that the average score of students’ listening skills before treatment was 74.88, while after treatment it increased to 85.37. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, and the homogeneity test showed that the data had homogeneous variance. Furthermore, the hypothesis test revealed that the tcount value (4.54) was higher than the ttable value (2.04) at the 0.05 significance level. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by audiovisual media has a significant effect on students’ listening comprehension skills of explanatory texts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing parents in choosing tutoring services and their impact on elementary school students' cognitive load. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving parents, students, and tutors. The results show that psychological factors are the most dominant in influencing parents’ decisions, especially expectations for children's academic improvement. Social and economic factors have less influence. Parents generally have positive perceptions of tutoring effectiveness, as it improves students’ understanding and learning motivation. Furthermore, tutoring does not significantly increase cognitive load, as students remain able to focus and maintain a balance between study and rest. However, emotional conditions and learning methods play an important role in managing students’ cognitive load. These findings indicate that proper instructional strategies are necessary to optimize learning outcomes without overloading students cognitively.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the efforts of Civic Education (PPKn) teachers in improving students' understanding of diversity in the material of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika in class X at HKBP Sidorame Private Senior High School, Medan. The background of this study is based on the importance of students’ understanding of diversity values as part of character building to create a tolerant, inclusive society that respects differences. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects of this study consist of PPKn teachers and tenth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the efforts made by PPKn teachers in improving students' understanding of diversity include the use of various teaching methods, such as group discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and providing concrete examples in daily life. In addition, teachers also utilize relevant learning media and instill values of tolerance and mutual respect in the learning process. However, there are several obstacles faced, such as limited instructional time and differences in students’ levels of understanding. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the efforts of PPKn teachers have a significant role in improving students' understanding of diversity. Therefore, innovation and consistency in the learning process are needed so that the objectives of civic education can be achieved optimally.

Abstract

The novel Tarian Bumi by Oka Rusmini (2000) reflects the caste system in Bali that marginalizes women through the levels of Brahmana, Kesatria, Vaisya, and Sudra. This study aims to reveal the forms and meanings of caste discrimination experienced by Balinese women, represented by the characters Luh Sekar (Jero Kenanga) and Ida Ayu Telaga, who are trapped in patriarchal norms and the tradition of nyerod (inter-caste marriage). The background of the problem arises from the conflict between ancient traditions that regulate marriage and social status, and the aspirations of women who want to achieve equality in a multicultural society in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative with a focus on content analysis of the novel text as the main object, accompanied by a literature study. Data collection was carried out through in-depth reading to identify the actions, dialogues, and representations of the Sudra and Brahmana characters. The analysis was carried out descriptively and systematically to group various forms of discrimination, such as social segregation, negative stereotypes, forced obedience, heavy workloads, and symbolic violence that occurs through the Patiwangi ceremony. This research shows that Sudra women who move up in caste are viewed as "formal servants" in Brahmin households, while marrying down results in ostracism and poverty. Luh Sekar fights to maintain her status, while Telaga's fight ends in tragedy: ridicule, her husband's death, and a ritual severance of ties with her family. This discrimination reinforces existing gender inequality.
