Abstract

Indonesia's diversity in terms of religion, ethnicity, culture, language, and social background requires the strengthening of tolerance values through education. Pancasila Education plays a strategic role in instilling the values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika so that students are able to appreciate differences and live harmoniously in a multicultural environment. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Pancasila Education based on Bhinneka Tunggal Ika in developing students' tolerance and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation at SMP Negeri 17 Kota Jambi. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The research involved Pancasila Education teachers, the Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, and Class VIII Phase D students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data validity was ensured through source, technique, and time triangulation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings indicate that the implementation of Pancasila Education based on Bhinneka Tunggal Ika was carried out through diversity-related learning materials, heterogeneous group discussions, collaborative learning activities, teacher role modeling, and the habituation of respectful attitudes. The implementation contributed to the development of students' tolerance, reflected in their ability to respect differences, build cooperation, demonstrate empathy, and maintain peaceful relationships within the school environment. However, several challenges remain, including the influence of social media, peer environment, limited instructional time, and the inconsistency of some students in applying tolerance values.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Jangka Buya in multiplication operations, with only 20% achieving the minimum criterion. This study aims to determine the significant effect of the make a match learning model on students' learning outcomes. A quantitative approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design was employed, involving 20 students. Data were collected using pretest and posttest tests and observation sheets, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was applied because the data were not normally distributed. The results showed Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, so H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. The average score increased from 48.5 to 80, and learning completeness rose from 20% to 75%. The N-Gain analysis resulted in an average of 0.645 in the moderate category, while observation of learning implementation achieved 87.5% in the very good category. Thus, the make a match learning model has a significant positive effect on students' learning outcomes in multiplication operations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social media addiction and cyberbullying at SMKN 4 Padang, Academic Year 2025/2026. This study used a quantitative correlational approach. The population of this study was 553 SMKN 4 Padang students enrolled in the 2025/2026 academic year, with a sample of 232 students selected using proportional random sampling. This study examines the relationship between social media addiction and cyberbullying. The instrument used for data collection in this study was a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using statistical software in Microsoft Excel. Based on the data analysis, the hypothesis was obtained with a calculated r value of 0.708, while the table r value was 0.129. Because the calculated r value is greater than the table r value (0.708 > 0.129), the hypothesis is accepted, indicating a positive relationship between social media addiction and cyberbullying among students at SMKN 4 Padang. Therefore, cyberbullying can be reduced by students if social media is used effectively.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is an essential competence that needs to be developed through meaningful and contextual learning. However, students often have difficulty understanding problems, formulating mathematical models, applying strategies, and interpreting solutions. This study aims to determine whether students’ mathematical problem-solving ability and its improvement through the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model with Banten cultural context are better than those through conventional learning. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population was all eighth-grade students of MTsN 1 Pandeglang in the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample consisted of class VIII E as the experimental class and class VIII D as the control class, with 32 students in each class, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using essay tests and analyzed using descriptive statistics, N-Gain, and independent sample t-test. The results showed that the posttest mean score of the experimental class was 82.19, higher than the control class at 60.16. The N-Gain mean of the experimental class was 0.7856, categorized as high, while the control class was 0.5025, categorized as moderate. The hypothesis tests on posttest and N-Gain data showed Sig. (one-sided) < 0.001. Therefore, CTL with Banten cultural context is effective in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the suboptimal and maximal involvement of students in carrying out PJOK learning activities of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 12 Cimparuh, Pariaman City. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between student involvement and carrying out PJOK learning activities directly, both partially and simultaneously. The research method used in this study was the correlational method. The study population was 16 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 12 Cimparuh, Pariaman City. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with the type of nonprobability sampling being purposive sampling. The results of the correlation coefficient calculation were then interpreted to determine the level of relationship between the two variables. If the calculated r value is greater than the table r at a significance level of 0.05, it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between student involvement in learning and PJOK learning activities through the Direct Instruction method in fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 12 Cimparuh, Pariaman City. The results of the correlation analysis research show (1) student involvement and (2) carrying out PJOK learning activities through the direct instruction model method for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 12 Cimparuh, Pariaman City, then the calculated r is 0.382 < rtable 0.497. This means that there is no relationship between student involvement in carrying out PJOK learning activities through the direct instruction model method for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 12 Cimparuh, Pariaman City.

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study was conducted on 60 fourth-grade elementary school students using a non-equivalent control group design to test the effectiveness of Quizizz media on learning outcomes in the material of changes in the state of matter. By dividing the subjects into control and experimental groups, research data were collected using a pre-test instrument at the beginning and a post-test at the end of the learning. The results of the data analysis confirmed that the use of Quizizz significantly boosted students' academic achievement. This was reflected in the surge in the class average score, which was initially only 51 in the pre-test session, soaring to 85 in the post-test. The success of this intervention was also statistically strengthened by obtaining a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000. Because this figure is below the threshold of 0.05, the null hypothesis Hₒ is automatically rejected and the alternative hypothesis Hₐ is accepted, which also confirms the success of this learning program.

Abstract

The study of the Mandarin language in Indonesia is developing rapidly, yet structural differences in grammar often pose difficulties for novice learners, particularly in differentiating the modal verbs 可以 (kěyǐ), 能 (néng), and 会 (huì), all of which share the similar meaning of "can" or "be able to". This study aims to describe the forms of errors in using these modal verbs and to identify the most dominant type of error made by students. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative. The research subjects consisted of 16 second-semester students from the Mandarin Language Education Study Program at Universitas Kristen Indonesia for the 2025/2026 Academic Year. Data were collected through a Google Form-based test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions, 10 fill-in-the-blank questions, and an essay test for sentence construction. Data analysis was performed by calculating error frequencies and percentages. The results revealed three main forms of errors: the confusion between 能 (néng) and 可以 (kěyǐ), 能 (néng) and 会 (huì), and 可以 (kěyǐ) and 会 (huì). Among these, the modal verb 能 (néng) consistently emerged as the most dominant source of error made by students, with error rates reaching 81.25% in the multiple-choice section, 68.75% in the fill-in-the-blank section, and 18.75% in the essay test. These errors are categorized as systematic errors due to a lack of conceptual understanding regarding the situational application of 能 (néng). This research is expected to provide constructive feedback for educators in designing more effective learning strategies.
