Abstract

The utilization of digital learning media in elementary schools remains limited, particularly in teaching Indonesian cultural diversity aimed at strengthening students' nationalism character. This condition reduces students' active engagement in the learning process, highlighting the need for more interactive learning media that align with the characteristics of today's digital generation. This study aimed to develop Edunci (Education Culture of Indonesia), an Android-based educational game designed to support the learning of Indonesian cultural diversity while strengthening the nationalism character of fourth-grade elementary school students. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarketawang 3 and involved a material expert, a media expert, a learning expert, a fourth-grade teacher, and fourth-grade students as the research participants. Data were collected through observations, interviews, expert validation sheets, and user response questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results indicated that the developed media achieved an average validation score of 88.48%, categorized as Very Good, while the implementation stage obtained an average score of 86.95%, also categorized as Very Good. These findings demonstrate that the developed media met the criteria of validity and practicality, making it suitable as an alternative learning medium for elementary schools. The novelty of this study lies in the development of an Android-based educational game that integrates Indonesian cultural diversity content with nationalism character education into a single interactive, validated, and practical learning medium for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of organizational culture, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), and work motivation on teacher performance at private junior high schools in Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency. Teacher performance is one of the key factors in improving the quality of education. The research used a survey method with a causal associative research design. The population consisted of 108 teachers from private junior high schools in Pagedangan District. A saturated sampling technique was applied, in which the entire population was selected as the research sample. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Data analysis included descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. The prerequisite tests consisted of normality, homogeneity, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests. Hypothesis testing was conducted using simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The findings revealed that organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) also had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Work motivation was found to have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Simultaneously, organizational culture, OCB, and work motivation had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.554, indicating that 55.4% of the variation in teacher performance could be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining 44.6% was influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. Therefore, improving teacher performance should be achieved through strengthening organizational culture, fostering Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), and enhancing teachers' work motivation in an integrated manner within the school environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of using song lyrics and picture media on the English vocabulary mastery of fourth-grade elementary school students. The study was motivated by the low level of students’ vocabulary mastery, which was caused by the use of conventional teaching methods that tended to be monotonous, teacher-centered, and less engaging. To address this problem, the researcher implemented a combination of song lyrics and picture media as an alternative instructional strategy to create a more meaningful and enjoyable learning experience. This research employed a quantitative approach using a One-Group Pre-test–Post-test Design. The sample consisted of 30 fourth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was an English vocabulary test administered as both a pre-test and a post-test. The validity of the instrument was examined using the Pearson Product Moment correlation, while its reliability was measured using the Kuder-Richardson Formula 20 (KR-20). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the N-Gain score to determine the improvement in students’ learning outcomes, and a paired-sample t-test to examine the significance of the difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. The findings revealed that the mean pre-test score was 59.67, which increased to 81.80 in the post-test. The calculated N-Gain score was 0.55, indicating a moderate level of improvement in students’ English vocabulary mastery after the implementation of the instructional media. Furthermore, the paired-sample t-test demonstrated a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of song lyrics and picture media has a positive and significant effect on improving the English vocabulary mastery of fourth-grade elementary school students. These findings suggest that integrating music and visual media into English language instruction can serve as an effective strategy for enhancing vocabulary learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Early Childhood Education (ECE) institutions requires a learning approach that is capable of fostering children's competencies in meaningful ways. However, the implementation of deep learning still requires further conceptual and practical examination. This study aims to analyze the implementation of deep learning in Early Childhood Education (ECE) institutions as a strategy to strengthen the Merdeka Curriculum and to identify the factors supporting its successful implementation. This study employed a library research method by analyzing various scholarly sources, including books, journal articles, policy documents, and official publications issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia. The findings indicate that deep learning in ECE emphasizes concrete, active, and child-centered learning experiences through three core characteristics: meaningful learning, mindful learning, and joyful learning. This approach contributes to developing a stronger understanding, improving the effectiveness of children's developmental assessment, and supporting the achievement of the Merdeka Curriculum objectives. Its successful implementation is influenced by holistic instructional planning, the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure, continuous teacher professional development, and sustained policy support. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for ECE institutions and educators in designing learning strategies that are more effective, meaningful, and responsive to the developmental needs of young children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution of the origins and destinations of daily population mobility and to identify the suburban area of Padang City with the highest level of daily mobility intensity using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The study employed a quantitative descriptive method with a spatial approach. Data were collected through field observations and records of daily vehicle movements at four observation points located in the suburban areas of Padang City. Data analysis was conducted using GIS through mapping and overlay techniques to identify the spatial patterns of origin–destination movements and the intensity of daily mobility. The results indicate that daily mobility in the suburban areas of Padang City is relatively high and is predominantly characterized by commuter movements. Based on the GIS-based spatial analysis, Lubuk Buaya exhibited the highest mobility intensity, with 13,798 inbound vehicles recorded on Friday. This was followed by Indarung, Bungus, and the ByPass area near the toll road. Traffic volume peaked during the morning and afternoon, corresponding to residents' travel for work, education, trade, and other service-related activities. These findings suggest that the suburban areas of Padang City remain highly dependent on the city center to fulfill daily activities, particularly in the economic sector. The results of this study are expected to provide valuable input for transportation planning and spatially based regional development.
