Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of implementing the Flipped Classroom model supported by micro-learning videos in fostering students' behavior aligned with the values of Wawasan Nusantara (the Indonesian Archipelagic Outlook). The research was motivated by the limited participation of students during Pancasila Education lessons, which contributed to inadequate conceptual understanding and weak internalization of national values. A collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart spiral model was employed over two action cycles. The participants consisted of 32 eighth-grade students of SMPN 17 Malang during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were gathered through classroom participation observation sheets, pre-test and post-test assessments comprising 15 case-based multiple-choice questions, students' reflective journals, and supporting documentation. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive-comparative techniques and qualitative analysis involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The intervention was considered successful when at least 75% of the students demonstrated active participation and a minimum classical learning mastery of 85% was achieved. The findings revealed continuous improvement across the two cycles. The proportion of actively participating students increased from 56.25% in Cycle I to 87.50% in Cycle II, while classical learning mastery improved from 65.63% to 90.63%. These results indicate that integrating the Flipped Classroom approach with micro-learning videos creates a more engaging learning environment, encourages active student participation, and strengthens the internalization of Wawasan Nusantara values within Pancasila Education.

Abstract

Student learning participation is one of the key factors in achieving successful learning outcomes. However, conditions observed in class VIII C of SMPN 19 Malang revealed that most students remained passive, lacked initiative in expressing their opinions, and had not been optimally engaged during group discussions. This condition occurred almost every time the learning process took place, particularly in Civic Education (PPKn) lessons. Therefore, this study was important to conduct, aiming to describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by interactive evaluation media and to analyze the improvement in students' learning participation on Wawasan Nusantara material. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis McTaggart model, carried out in two cycles involving 32 students of class VIII C in the even semester. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The findings showed consistent progress at each stage, with the average percentage of learning participation rising from 42.32% in the pre-cycle to 65.11% in Cycle I, and reaching 84.38% in Cycle II. As these results exceeded the predetermined success indicator of ≥75%, the implementation of the PBL model assisted by interactive evaluation media was concluded to be effective in improving students' learning participation on Wawasan Nusantara material

Abstract

This research is motivated by students who appear afraid to answer teachers' questions in class, are less receptive to criticism, are hesitant in planning further education or work after graduation, blame themselves for learning difficulties, choose majors that do not match their talents and interests, are influenced by peers in determining their major, and lack confidence and feel pessimistic when considering further education. This study aims to describe: 1) the growth mindset of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Ranah Batahan; 2) their career decision-making; and 3) the relationship between growth mindset and career decision-making among these students. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method with correlational analysis. The sample of 86 students was determined using proportional random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire, consisting of 27 items for the growth mindset variable and 28 items for the career decision-making variable. Data analysis included descriptive analysis, prerequisite tests, and the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results show that: 1) students' growth mindset is in the high category; 2) students' career decision-making is in the high category; 3) there is a significant relationship between growth mindset and career decision-making with a moderate coefficient. It is therefore recommended that guidance and counseling teachers as well as subject teachers provide services and materials that can help raise students' growth mindset from the high to the very high category so that their career decision-making ability can develop optimally.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the flipped classroom learning method on the mathematical problem-solving skills of junior high school students, specifically focusing on the topic of Linear Equations and Inequalities in One Variable. Conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Tigaraksa during the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, this research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The population comprised all seventh-grade students, from which a sample of 64 students was drawn using cluster random sampling, divided equally into an experimental class (32 students) and a control class (32 students). Data collection relied on essay tests administered as pretests and posttests to measure problem-solving proficiency. The statistical analysis revealed a significant difference, where the experimental group achieved a much higher average posttest score (82.40) compared to the control group (71.30). The independent sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. Therefore, it is concluded that the implementation of the flipped classroom method significantly enhances students' mathematical problem-solving capabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze inclusive leadership practices, the relationship between leaders and ustadz, santri, and guardians, as well as the participation opportunities opened by leaders in the policy-making process at Al Adzkar Islamic Boarding School, Pamulang, South Tangerang City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study methodology. The population or target of the study includes the residents of Al Adzkar Islamic Boarding School, consisting of the boarding school leadership, principal, ustadz/teachers, students, and guardians. The sample or informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique based on their involvement and understanding of the leadership and policy-making process at the boarding school. Data collection techniques included semi-structured in-depth interviews, participant observation, open-ended questionnaires, and documentation studies. The researcher acted as the primary instrument, supported by interview guides, observation sheets, open-ended questionnaires, field notes, and documentation checklists. Data validity was checked through source and technique triangulation. Data were analyzed through data presentation, data reduction and coding, thematic category grouping, interpretation of findings, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that inclusive leadership practices were implemented through openness, leader availability, easy access to leaders, deliberation, collaboration, role models, and empowerment of Islamic boarding school residents. The relationship between leaders and ustadz/teachers was collaborative and based on communication, trust, and respect for competence. The relationship between leaders and students was one of guidance, role models, and communication, while the relationship with students' guardians demonstrated a partnership pattern in supporting students' education and development. Space for participation was opened through deliberation or syuro forums, coordination meetings, student organizations, direct communication, digital media, and informal discussions. Although space for participation was available, the involvement of students and their guardians in strategic decision-making was not fully equitable. The final decision rests with the Kyai to ensure policies align with the vision, mission, Islamic values, and traditions of the Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

Early reading difficulty among lower-grade elementary school students, such as letter recognition and reading fluency, remains a pivotal challenge in primary education. This study aims to describe the efforts to develop students' early reading skills at SD Negeri 6 Selong through the "Lingkar Baca Ceria" program. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were gathered through structured observations and in-depth interviews with PPG pre-service teachers, lower-grade students, and the school principal. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that the "Lingkar Baca Ceria" program effectively improves early reading skills by incorporating small-group reading strategies based on the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. Students demonstrated significant progress in recognizing alphabets, blending syllables, and verbal fluency. Key supporting factors include the systematic utilization of concrete media (letter cards and illustrated storybooks) and the strategic role of pre-service teachers as adaptive learning facilitators. While field implementation faced challenges such as time constraints and a lack of reading material variations, the program successfully fostered students' reading confidence and collaborative learning. This study concludes that the "Lingkar Baca Ceria" program serves as an interactive and highly scalable alternative strategy for basic literacy enforcement in lower grades of elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of parent-child relationships on early childhood delay gratification with emotion regulation as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed. The participants consisted of 20 parents and children aged 5–6 years at TK Sabilul Khaerot selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets and analyzed using SmartPLS 4. The results showed that parent-child relationships had a positive and significant effect on emotion regulation. However, parent-child relationships did not have a significant direct effect on children's delay gratification. Emotion regulation had a positive and significant effect on delay gratification and significantly mediated the relationship between parent-child relationships and delay gratification. These findings indicate that children's ability to delay gratification is influenced more by emotion regulation developed through positive parent-child relationships than by the relationship itself. Therefore, strengthening parent-child relationships should be accompanied by efforts to improve children's emotion regulation in order to support the development of self-control during early childhood.
