Abstract

This study was used to determine the influence of flash card learning media on students' understanding and learning independence at UPTD SD Negeri Lergunong 1 in Madurese language lessons. This study used a quantitative approach with a research design, namely one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study used all students of class 3B with a total of 25 students. The instruments used in this study were student learning comprehension questions and student learning independence questionnaires. While the analysis test used a validity test to see the validity of an instrument, a reliability test was used to see the level of consistency of a valid instrument, a normality test to determine whether the data distribution was normal or not, a paired sample t-test was used to compare the average of two variable data from one sample group, and the Manova test was used to analyze significant differences between the average of the dependent variable and 2 or more independent variables using the SPSS application. This is proven in the use of flashcard learning media in Madurese language lessons to improve students' understanding and learning independence. A significant value (2-tailed) of 0.0000 <0.05 was obtained, which states that there is an influence of flash card learning media on students' understanding and learning independence.

Abstract

This study was used to determine the influence of the Think Pair Share learning model on student motivation and understanding at UPTD SDN Pejagan 1 Bangkalan in science lessons. This study used a quantitative approach with a research design, namely one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study used all VB class students with a total of 23 students. The instruments used in this study were student learning comprehension questions and student learning motivation questionnaires. This can be proven in the use of the TPS learning model in science lessons to improve student motivation and understanding of learning which obtained a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.0000 <0.05 which states that there is an influence of the TPS learning model on motivation and understanding.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of a web-based educational game scratch as a tool for managing social skills in autistic children. This application is designed to help children practice improving social skills through interactive and interesting media with a focus on improving social interaction, communication and adaptive behavior. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adopting the ADDIE development model. And using a validation test method carried out by experts in their fields. The results of the validation test showed that the web-based educational game scratch obtained a feasibility level of 89% with the conversion results against the percentage indicator criteria indicating that this learning media is included in the category of very feasible for use in the social skills learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the difficulties experienced by teachers in using learning media in elementary schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, involving teachers in grades 4 to 6 in one of the public elementary schools as subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that teachers face various obstacles in using learning media, including limited access and infrastructure, low technological skills, limited preparation time, resistance to change, and varying student conditions. These findings emphasize the need for comprehensive support from schools, government, and the community to improve teacher capacity and equalize educational facilities.

Abstract

Basic education is a crucial foundation for the development of quality human resources. In its implementation, financing becomes a critical factor that determines the success of basic education programs. This article aims to analyze the structure of basic education financing in Indonesia and identify various issues that still hinder its effectiveness and efficiency. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach based on literature review and secondary data from government reports. The analysis results show that although the government has allocated significant funds through various schemes such as the School Operational Assistance (BOS), challenges still exist in the distribution, effective utilization, and transparency of the budget. Policy reforms and strengthening governance capacity are needed to ensure the sustainability and quality of basic education.

Abstract

Students as prospective teachers often have difficulty in designing learning that reflects the stages of the scientific approach, such as observing, asking, trying, reasoning, and communicating. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive digital media that supports the learning process based on the scientific approach and to test the feasibility and applicability of the media in lectures. This study uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The media was developed using the Canva platform, with the contents of the scientific approach steps. Visual and interactive media are designed according to the analysis of the needs of students and lecturers in Papua. Validation was carried out by media experts and material experts, while trials were conducted on semester VI students in the Animal Development Structure course. The results of the study showed that the interactive digital media developed was valid so that it was very suitable for use during the learning process. The implementation of the media showed an increase in active involvement and student learning outcomes. This media is also considered contextual, easy to access, and encourages collaboration in learning. These results indicate that interactive digital media has great potential to be applied in the development of more innovative and effective biology education.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the game-based learning media educaplay as a learning evaluation tool in the classroom and the educaplay application, which is very fun, active, creative, and effective for improving student learning outcomes. This research is included in the quantitative category. Problem identification was carried out using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach by implementing two action cycles, and in each cycle, two learner process meetings were held. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Students work on questions that have been prepared in the educational media at each meeting. A total of 41 students in the PKPBA (Special Arabic Language Development Program) class at Maulana Malik Ibrahim Islamic State University, Malang, were research subjects. The results of the research explain that education as a learning medium is also a medium for evaluating students' learning processes. Eduacaplay media was obtained as a stimulus for students to understand the material presented so that they felt motivated, enthusiastic, happy, and active. The percentage in the educational media shows that student learning outcomes increased in the first cycle; the first meeting had a percentage of 12.20%, increasing in the second meeting to 26.83%. Then, the first meeting of the second cycle was 80.49%, and the second meeting increased to 95.12%. Most students achieve completeness in working on questions on educational media because they feel motivated, fun, and more active.

Abstract

In the midst of the busy and pressure-filled modern life, many people, especially the younger generation, are facing challenges in maintaining a balanced life. Overemphasis on luxury lifestyles, following the latest trends, and material achievements often make people feel never enough, easily stressed, and lost in life’s direction. This research discusses the importance of simplicity as a key to achieving a more peaceful and meaningful life. Through a qualitative approach, this study explores views from Ellen White’s writings, emphasizing that living simply is not just about reducing excess, but also a way to draw closer to God. Simplicity helps shape a humble, thankful, and God-fearing character. Moreover, this lifestyle has a positive impact on mental health and spiritual growth. In the fast-paced, consumer-driven world, simplicity serves as a fitting and essential life principle, guiding young people towards a balanced life based on spiritual values and God’s word.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development of M-Learning based on Moodle as an alternative learning media to improve independence and critical thinking skills in the Computer and Network Engineering Concentration subject at SMK Negeri 1 Dukuhturi. M-Learning (Mobile Learning) refers to the use of digital technology, especially the internet, to support the learning process. In the world of education, M-Learning has become one of the most effective approaches in facilitating flexible, efficient, and interactive access to education. Teachers and students will gain flexibility in learning. M-Learning allows learning to be done anytime and anywhere as long as there is an internet connection, so it is expected to trigger critical thinking skills and student independence. The approach used in this study is Research and Development or R&D, which functions to validate and develop products. The findings of this study indicate that the development of Moodle-based M-Learning as an alternative learning media can improve students' independence and critical thinking skills. The attractive features of M-learning make students more active during the learning process, and the existence of discussion forums and collaborations allows students to discuss, share ideas or work together on projects online. Although the results obtained are quite positive, this study also noted several challenges, such as limited internet access, lack of direct interaction between students and teachers and friends, as well as potential distractions and lack of motivation from the environment. Therefore, this research recommends the need for increased training and access to technology, teacher skills development, increased motivation and self-discipline of students, and the provision of quality materials.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in arts education at the elementary school level. The Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes differentiated learning, strengthening the profile of Pancasila students, and teacher freedom in designing learning, is the main framework in the transformation of arts education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in one of the elementary schools that has implemented the Independent Curriculum. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with art teachers, principals, and documentation of arts learning activities. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in arts education provides more space for students to express themselves and be creative according to their potential and interests. Arts learning becomes more contextual and enjoyable, with the integration of local cultural themes and the use of varied media. However, several obstacles were also found, such as limited resources, teacher readiness, and uneven understanding of the principles of the Independent Curriculum. This study recommends the need for intensive training for art teachers and the development of local culture-based learning modules to support the optimal implementation of the Independent Curriculum in the field of arts education.
