Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Numeracy skills are a fundamental aspect of mathematics learning in primary schools. However, many first-grade students still struggle to understand the concept of addition, especially when it is presented in an abstract manner without the aid of concrete learning media. This highlights the need for a more contextual and easily understood learning approach. This study aims to improve students’ addition skills through the use of concrete learning media in the form of Dienes Blocks in Grade I at SDN Srengseng Sawah 12 Pagi. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 29 students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The results showed improvement in three aspects of student ability: (1) understanding of addition concepts increased from 56.67% (low) to 76.67% (good); (2) ability to solve problems rose from 65.51% (fair) to 86.20% (good); and (3) ability to explain concepts using the media improved from 70.34% (fair) to 89.65% (very good). Thus, the use of concrete media such as Dienes Blocks has proven effective in helping students grasp the concept of addition, enhance active participation, and support a more meaningful learning process.

This study aims to examine the level of job readiness among 12th-grade students majoring in Fashion at SMK Kartika IV-1 Malang. Job readiness is a crucial factor in bridging the gap between education and industry, especially in the fields of fashion and garment making. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 13 students and interviews with vocational subject teachers. The aspects analyzed include physical endurance and focus during work, interest and motivation, school learning experiences, and industrial work practice experience. The results show that 54% of students strongly agreed that these four indicators significantly contribute to their job readiness. This indicates that the majority of students feel adequately prepared for the workforce based on the skills and experiences they gained from both school learning and industrial practice. The study recommends enhancing collaboration between schools and industry, as well as strengthening soft skills training to further support students’ readiness for entering the professional world.

Teachers play an important role in supporting the transition of early-grade elementary school students into a formal educational environment. This study aims to examine the role of homeroom teachers as implementers of guidance and counseling in learning services. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of studies related to the role of homeroom teachers, learning guidance services, and learning difficulties among early-grade students. The data collection technique was carried out following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses) flow, by documenting 25 relevant articles consisting of 12 national articles and 13 international articles. The results indicate that homeroom teachers play a major role in implementing learning guidance services, particularly in addressing learning difficulties commonly faced by early-grade elementary students, namely reading problems. Homeroom teachers provide individual and group guidance, conduct remedial programs, and collaborate with parents. However, several obstacles were identified, including time constraints, lack of counseling skills, and minimal parental support. Therefore, program planning, teacher training, and strong collaboration between schools and families are necessary to improve student learning outcomes.

This study analyzes the implementation of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Policy Number 5684/MDM.B1/HK.04.00/2025 concerning Teacher Learning Day at SDN Tropodo Krian, Sidoarjo Regency. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study examines the implementation mechanism, supporting factors, obstacles, and impact of the policy on teacher professional development. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with 15 respondents (teachers, principals, and resource persons), and document analysis during the period February - April 2025. The findings show that the implementation of the policy has increased collaboration between teachers by 65%, developed learning innovations, despite facing challenges in time allocation and availability of resource persons. This study recommends strengthening the mentoring system and providing digital learning resources to optimize the program.

In learning mathematics, there are many challenges when conducting the learning process. In fact, many students have difficulty in understanding the concept of learning mathematics with a scaffolding approach. The purpose of this study was to improve students' understanding with this approach in mathematics subjects on fraction material. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subject of this research is the fourth grade students of SD N Bulakrejo 3 which totalled 29 people, consisting of 18 female students and 11 male students. While the object of this research is student learning activity. Data collection was done by observation technique. Data on student understanding in this study was collected by filling out observation sheets by teachers who taught in class. This research was conducted on learning Mathematics Fraction material using II cycles, where each cycle consists of four stages, namely the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages of learning. The results of the research conducted in class IV SDN Bulakrejo 03, the application of scaffolding strategies consistently succeeded in improving the quality of students' mathematics learning

This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of elementary school students so that an effective learning model is needed, one of which is the CIRC model. This research aims to explain the application of the CIRC model on students' reading comprehension skills. This research uses qualitative with PRISMA-based literature study method. The data collection technique was carried out by documenting 25 articles consisting of 10 national articles and 15 international articles, which were obtained through Google Scholar with the Publish or Perish programme. The results explained that the application of the CIRC model can encourage student activeness, understanding the content of reading, finding the main idea, and drawing conclusions. Its success is supported by the role of the teacher, active involvement of students, and appropriate learning media. However, there are some obstacles such as learning environment, emotional, and physiological factors that can be overcome with the right strategy. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model can improve the reading comprehension skills of elementary school students.

This study aims to improve IPAS learning outcomes through the use of interactive digital media and learning videos. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages in each cycle: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted in three cycles, with lesson plans developed jointly by teachers and researchers in each cycle. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 8 Jagalan Surakarta City for students in class III B, with ecosystem material in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 school year. The population involved in this study were 23 students. Data collection techniques include tests (formative evaluation) and non-tests in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed an increase in the average score of learning outcomes, from 58.69 in the pre-cycle to 66.08 in cycle I, and increased again to 83.69 in cycle II. Because 87% of students achieved a score of more than or equal to 75 (KKTP), this research was declared successful.

Di era modern sekarang sudah sangat tidak asing lagi dengan istilah laptop, smartphone, atau computer, dan sebagainya, alat-alat inilah yang disebut sebagai teknologi. Penerapan teknologi dalam mempelajari bahasa Indonesia sudah tentu memiliki dampak positif dan negatif, dampak negatif tersebut akan menjadi tentang bagi guru dan orang tua di era digital sekarang. Adanya teknologi dapat membantu guru dalam menyampaikan informasi, menjelaskan materi dan sebagainya, teknologi juga membantu siswa dalam kegiatan proses pembelajaran sehingga dapat meningkatkan minat siswa dalam mempelajari bahasa Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran penerapan teknologi dalam meningkatkan minat siswa mempelajari bahasa Indonesia serta menganalisis dan memahami dampak positif dan negatif dari penerapan teknologi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah siswa MTs Bhayangkara kelas VIII. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, data diperoleh melalui survei dan observasi, serta dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian ini berbeda dari penelitian lainnya karena menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan survei deskriptif untuk menganalisis data, sementara penelitian lain menggunakan metode berbeda seperti aplikasi augmented reality dan komunikasi berbasis digital. Secara keseluruhan, teknologi memiliki potensi besar dalam pendidikan jika digunakan dengan bijak.

The Montara oil spill that occurred in 2009 in the Timor Sea is considered one of the worst oil spills in the world due to the oil pollution problems it caused to Indonesian seas, especially in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This Sabidurism aims to investigate in detail the ecosystem impact and socio-economic impact of Montara on seaweed farming activities in the affected areas. In this case, the collection method involves studying the literature, analyzing secondary data, and analyzing environmental reports from various relevant sources. From the descriptive analysis, it was concluded that in addition to oil pollution, the impact on the ecosystem is considerable, reducing seaweed cultivation yields, and losing the main source of income for farmers. This results in more damage and losses to the community, exacerbating an already bad situation. This research is useful in strengthening the development of more proactive regulatory proposals for environmental protection. For prevention and the need for a mechanism to respond to environmental crises between countries, especially for large-scale oil spill emergencies.

Writing narrative skills are crucial in developing language abilities; however, manystudents face difficulties in writing narrative compositions correctly. This study aimsto analyze the errors in narrative composition writing among upper-gradeelementary school students. The research uses a literature review method, whichinvolves planning, searching and selecting, analysis, and synthesis stages. Thesearch was conducted through Google Scholar, limited to national journals indexedin SINTA 1-6 from 2021 to 2025, resulting in 10 relevant journals. The findings showthat the most frequent errors are the improper use of capital letters, punctuationmarks, inaccurate word choices, ineffective sentence structures, and insufficientdevelopment of the composition's content. These errors reflect students' weakunderstanding of linguistic rules and narrative elements. This study recommends astep-by-step and continuous writing learning process to help students improve theirwriting skills comprehensively.
