Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of an early literacy program in improving the beginning reading and writing skills of children aged 5–6 years (Group B) at PAUD Rinjani, University of Mataram. Employing a qualitative research design with a descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the classroom teacher and principal, and document analysis, including lesson plans and samples of student work. The data were analyzed using Miles’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the early literacy program, systematically implemented through activities such as read-aloud sessions, shared reading, letter and word games, and guided early writing exercises, significantly enhanced the children’s literacy skills. Notable improvements were observed in their ability to recognize letters, understand phonemes, read simple words and sentences, and write their own names and short texts. The success of the program was supported by several factors, including the teacher’s creativity in designing engaging and age-appropriate activities, the use of appealing visual media such as illustrated letter cards, parental involvement at home, and a stimulating and supportive classroom environment. Nevertheless, the implementation faced several challenges, particularly in addressing individual differences in children's developmental stages and the constraint of limited instructional time. Overall, the study underscores the importance of implementing structured and developmentally appropriate early literacy programs as a means to build foundational reading and writing skills that prepare young learners for formal education.

Abstract

Kurikulum sebagai bagian dari faktor penting dalam pendidikan memiliki posisi strategis dalam mewarnai dan menentukan kualitas output pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aspek perangkat dan proses pembelajaran di satuan pendidikan tingkat menengah pertama dalam kurikulum merdeka. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Karena, dalam penelitian ini peneliti akan meneliti aktivitas pembelajaran dengan sering terjadinya perubahan kurikulum. Bogdan dan Tylor dalam Meleong mendefinisikan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan prilaku yang dapat diamatiHasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perubahan kurikulum diperlukan setiap saat karena kurikulum akan selalu merespon perkembangan dalam kehidupan, baik perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, perkembangan sosial dan budaya, dan perkembangan politik. Di samping itu, dalam perkembangannya kurikulum harus memperhatikan unsur peserta didik, satuan pendidikan, masyarakat, dan peranan pengembang kurikulum terutama guru. Peserta didik sebagai obyek kurikulum harus mendapat prioritas utama dalam pengembangan kurikulum.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter dan moderasi Islam sering kali belum terintegrasi secara optimal dalam sistem pembelajaran formal di madrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan integrasi pendidikan karakter dan moderasi Islam di MA Ali Maksum yang berbasis pesantren. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara terhadap Waka Kurikulum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter dan moderasi telah berjalan melalui kegiatan sehari-hari seperti kerja bakti (ro'an) dan interaksi antar siswa dari berbagai latar belakang, meskipun belum terprogram secara tertulis. Nilai-nilai tersebut disisipkan dalam mata pelajaran, dengan perencanaan berbasis visi madrasah: Agamawan, Ilmuwan, dan Bahasawan. Evaluasi dilakukan secara menyeluruh, mencakup aspek kognitif dan afektif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi karakter dan moderasi dapat berjalan efektif melalui pendekatan berbasis budaya sekolah dan kurikulum terpadu. Disarankan agar program ini lebih terdokumentasi dan ditingkatkan melalui pelatihan guru dan penguatan kebijakan sekolah.

Abstract

Rendahnya pengetahuan siswa sekolah dasar terhadap nilai-nilai kebudayaan Indonesia menjadi dasar dilakukannya penelitian dan pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis web JENDELA (Jelajah dan Eksplorasi Budaya). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan serta menguji kelayakan media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila, khususnya pada materi keberagaman budaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup wawancara dan penyebaran angket kepada ahli materi, ahli media, ahli bahasa, guru kelas, serta siswa kelas V. Hasil validasi menunjukkan media ini memperoleh skor kelayakan sebesar 92% dari ahli materi, 89% dari ahli bahasa, dan 88% dari ahli media, yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Uji coba kepada peserta didik menunjukkan hasil positif dengan skor 89,33% pada uji coba One to One, 90,53% pada Small Group, dan 92,22% pada Field Test. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, media ini dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pendukung dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila pada materi keberagaman budaya untuk siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by Wordwall media on student learning motivation in Pancasila Education subjects. The research method used is quantitative method with experimental design. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 064034 Medan, totaling 23 people. Data collection techniques are done through questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. The pretest results showed an average value of 44.91 in the category of needing guidance, while the posttest results increased to 77.74 in the developing category. The Pearson correlation test shows a coefficient value of 0.626 which is included in the strong category, with a significance of 0.001, meaning that there is a strong positive relationship between the problem-based learning model assisted by wordwall media on student learning motivation. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained the value of tcount  ttable  , which is 3,683  1,714, which means that there is a significant influence between the use of problem-based learning models assisted by wordwall media on student learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes in the learning of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in class VI SD Negeri 064034 Medan Learning Year 2024/2025. This study used a quantitative method with a pretest-posttest experimental design in one group, involving 28 students as samples. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests and student participation questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The pretest results showed the average value of student learning outcomes of 57.7 with a low category, while the posttest results increased to 77.43 with a high category. The Pearson correlation test produced a coefficient of 0.850 with a significance of 0.000, which indicates a strong positive relationship between the application of the PBL model and student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained a tcount ≥ ttable value of 5.957 ≥ 2.048, which means that there is a significant influence between the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes. Thus, the research hypothesis which states that there is a significant effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Direct Instruction strategy in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) on the material "Cultural Heritage" on the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students. Direct Instruction Strategy is a learning model that focuses on delivering material directly, systematically, and structured by teachers, which is expected to improve is a learning model that focuses on delivering material directly, systematically, and structured by teachers, which is expected to improve students' understanding optimally. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method (quasi-experimental). The subjects of the study were fifth grade students at SD Negeri 160 Palembang consisting of experimental classes and control classes. Data collection techniques were carried out through learning outcome tests given before (pretest) and after (posttest) treatment. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes in students who were taught using the Direct Instruction strategy assisted by learning videos compared to students who learned using lecture or conventional methods. Thus, it can be concluded that the Direct Instruction strategy has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in the material "Cultural Heritage".

Abstract

This research was conducted by the researcher based on initial observations, where the researcher found that learning at SMP 40 Makassar had not yet developed technology-based learning and was still using printed textbooks. The objectives of this research development are: (1) To identify the level of development needs, (2) To design an e-module for the Physics subject, (3) To determine the validity level of the e-module, and (4) To determine the practicality level of the e-module. This research uses an R\&D approach with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Data collection techniques used include questionnaires and documentation. The research was conducted with a total of 30 eighth-grade students and one physics teacher as the research subjects.The research results are as follows: (1) In the Planning Stage, through the needs identification process, it was found that students at SMP 40 Makassar need digital-based learning using e-modules. (2) In the Design Stage, development was carried out based on the information obtained, by determining and searching for objects to be developed in the e-module in the form of text, images, and videos. (3) In the Development Stage, the product trial began with an alpha test, which resulted in a valid instrument. The media expert gave an average score that fell into the "very good" qualification, and the content/material expert gave a score of 92%, which also fell into the "very good" qualification. Therefore, the media was tested in the field to determine its practicality. The beta test, conducted through small group trials, resulted in a score of 90.1%, which was classified as "very practical", while the large group trial yielded a score of 96%, also classified as "very practical". Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using crossword puzzle media on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Mulyaguna in Indonesian language learning. The background of this research is based on the low critical thinking ability of students, as seen from their difficulty in understanding and analyzing expository texts. This study employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: an experimental class using crossword puzzle media and a control class using conventional methods. Data were collected through essay tests based on critical thinking indicators. The data analysis results showed a significant difference between the post-test scores of the experimental and control classes. The experimental class achieved an average score of 81.6, while the control class scored an average of 52.6. Thus, the average score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The use of crossword puzzle media has proven to positively influence the improvement of students' critical thinking skills. Therefore, crossword puzzles can serve as an innovative alternative to enhance the quality of Indonesian language learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy-based learning in thematic learning plays an important role in improving student learning outcomes. Numeracy literacy in thematic learning involves integrating the ability to read, understand and use numbers and mathematical concepts in the context of the themes studied, so that students not only memorize material but are also able to solve real problems in everyday life. The application of literacy and numeracy-based learning will foster student motivation in understanding the material and being able to apply it in various subjects. Literacy and numeracy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia are still low. Therefore, effective education is needed to improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of literacy and numeracy-based learning in improving thematic learning outcomes of elementary/middle school students. The research method is based on a systematic literature study with data collection from relevant journals, books and scientific articles. The results show that learning will have a positive impact on students' thematic learning outcomes by integrating literacy and numeracy learning with various subjects in relevant and contextual themes, facilitating the development of critical thinking and real problem solving skills.
