Abstract

The aim of this research was to develop a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model integrated with Batak ethnoculture and to test its effectiveness in improving the reading literacy of elementary school students. This study was necessary because of the students' low reading literacy levels and the lack of connection between teaching materials and the students' local and cultural context, which can hinder understanding. This development research used the Plomp model. The analysis phase included questionnaires and interviews to identify curriculum needs and relevant Batak ethnocultural richness. The CTL model based on Batak ethnoculture was designed as a learning package, including the syllabus, lesson plans (RPP), and teaching materials that featured folktales and Batak values. To test effectiveness, a quasi-experimental design was used. This involved an experimental group using the Batak ethnoculture-based CTL model and a control group using a conventional teaching model. Data was collected through reading literacy tests (comprehension, interpretation, and reflection) and student/teacher response questionnaires. The results showed that the developed Batak ethnoculture-based CTL Model met the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The average scores on the reading literacy test for the experimental group were significantly (p<0.05) higher than those of the control group.

Abstract

The background of this research is the difficulty experienced by students in understanding the material, which results in low learning outcomes, limited communication skills, and inability to solve problems collaboratively, indicating that their social skills have not yet developed optimally. In addition, the seating arrangement does not allow students to actively engage in the learning process. This research is quantitative using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest posttest design. The research population was all fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Rejosari 02, with a sample of 23 students selected, using a non- probability sampling technique with saturated sampling. The data were collected through interviews, tests, documentation, and observation. Based on the data analysis, the average pretest score was 56.522 and the average posttest score was 89.565. The t-test hypothesis test resulted in tcount = 8.768 with df = n1 + n2 – 1 = 23 + 23 – 1 = 45, and at a 5% significance level, the ttable value was 2.014. Because tcount > ttable namely 8.768 > 2.014, ?0 was rejected. This means there was a significant difference between the pretest and pos-test average learning outcomes. The n-gain calculation was 0.749, which falls into the high category, indicates that classroom arrangement in project-based learning effectively improves students scientific understanding. In addition, students social skills such as their ability to cooperate, engage in discussions, and solve problems also developed positively. Thus, classroom arrangement in project-based learning has a positive effect on improving science understanding and social skills.

Abstract

Pencak silat merupakan seni bela diri tradisional Indonesia yang menuntut perpaduan antara kekuatan, kecepatan, dan teknik presisi. Setiap gerakan serangan memiliki prinsip biomekanika yang berperan penting dalam efektivitas dan efisiensi energi yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan gerak serangan siku dalam pencak silat dari perspektif biomekanika, guna memahami hubungan antara koordinasi segmen tubuh, gaya, serta aktivasi otot yang mempengaruhi kinerja atlet. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan observasi gerak, yang meliputi analisis kinematik dan kinetik terhadap empat jenis serangan siku, yaitu siku depan, siku belakang, siku serong, dan siku bawah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas serangan siku ditentukan oleh prinsip proximal-to-distal sequencing , kestabilan postural, dan sinkronisasi antar-segmen tubuh. Variabel biomekanika seperti sudut sendi, kecepatan linier ujung siku, serta rotasi panggul memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap besarnya gaya dan impuls yang dihasilkan. Setiap jenis serangan memiliki karakteristik biomekanis yang berbeda sesuai arah lintasan dan gaya vektor. Penguasaan teknik melalui pelatihan berbasis biomekanika terbukti dapat meningkatkan efisiensi transfer energi, memperbaiki presisi gerakan, serta mengurangi risiko cedera.

Abstract

Memahami konsep dalam pembelajaran MIPA merupakan landasan penting dalam membentuk pemikiran ilmiah dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa. Namun, kesulitan memahami konsep dasar masih menjadi tantangan besar di tingkat SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode penilaian berbasis proyek terhadap pemahaman konsep MIPA siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 30 Bekasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen, melibatkan dua kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimental dan kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 30 siswa yang dipilih dengan simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman konsep dan kuesioner respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan metode penilaian berbasis proyek dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional (p < 0,05). Siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika dan ilmu pengetahuan alam sebesar 27% lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol. Sebagian besar siswa juga merespons positif metode ini karena memberikan pengalaman belajar kontekstual dan kolaboratif. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penilaian berbasis proyek efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang konsep dan motivasi belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi guru dan siswa terhadap implementasi Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dalam evaluasi pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di SMPN 2 Pasawahan, Kabupaten Purwakarta. Narasumber penelitian meliputi dua guru IPA (G1 dan G2), kepala sekolah (KS), serta dua siswa kelas VIII (S1 dan S2). PBL dianggap sebagai model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keterampilan abad ke-21, seperti berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus digunakan untuk memahami secara mendalam pengalaman, pandangan, tantangan, dan keunggulan penerapan PBL. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi kelas, kemudian dianalisis secara interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama dalam penerapan PBL meliputi keterbatasan waktu, manajemen kelompok, kesiapan guru, serta fasilitas sekolah, sebagaimana diungkapkan oleh G1, G2, dan KS. Meskipun demikian, PBL memberikan keunggulan signifikan, termasuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, pemahaman konsep IPA secara kontekstual, kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan literasi sains, sebagaimana dialami dan dijelaskan oleh S1 dan S2. Strategi optimalisasi PBL melibatkan perencanaan masalah yang relevan, manajemen kelompok yang seimbang, motivasi aktif dari guru, serta dukungan fasilitas dan pelatihan dari pihak sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan implementasi PBL bergantung pada sinergi antara guru, siswa, dan institusi pendidikan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi guru, siswa, dan sekolah dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis proyek serta mendukung tercapainya profil pelajar Pancasila.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Self-Directed Learning (SDL) model on students’ learning motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. SDL is considered an approach that allows students to set goals, manage strategies, and reflect on their learning process, thereby strengthening intrinsic motivation. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design, involving one experimental and one control class. Data were collected through observation questionnaires on learning motivation during the learning process. Instrument testing confirmed validity and reliability with a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.873. The data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The t-test showed a value of 3.421 with a p-value of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group achieved a higher mean score (82.15) compared to the control group (74.32). These findings support Knowles’ SDL concept and Deci and Ryan’s Self-Determination Theory, which highlight autonomy and competence as key factors for intrinsic motivation. The study concludes that SDL is effective at the secondary school level, and teachers are encouraged to act as facilitators who foster students’ learning independence

Abstract

This study is entitled "The Application of the Example Non-Example Learning Model to Improve Descriptive Text Writing Skills in Grade VII Students of SMP NU Kaplongan." The subjects of this study were students of grade VII A as the experimental class and students of grade VII B as the control class. This study was motivated by student inactivity in learning to write descriptive texts, lack of student abilities, and the learning model that was still not varied. The research method used in this study was an experimental study with the subjects being 31 students of grade VII A as the experimental class and 31 students of grade VII B as the control class. This study aims to determine (1) the activity of the application of the example non-example model in learning to write descriptive texts in grade VII students of SMP NU Kaplongan, (2) to determine the effectiveness of the application of the example non-example model in learning to write descriptive texts in grade VII students of SMP NU Kaplongan. Data collection in this study was by collecting data from observations and tests (pretest and posttest). The results of this study indicate an increase in student learning outcomes, with teacher activity observations scoring 85.71, categorized as very good, and student activity observations scoring 82.14, categorized as good. Thus, it is proven that the application of the example-non-example model can improve student engagement in learning to write descriptive texts in grade VII of SMP NU Kaplongan. Based on statistical calculations using the independent samples t-test, the calculated T was 4.463 and the T table was 2.000. Therefore, T (3.463) > (2.000), indicating that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, it can be stated that the example-non-example model is effective in learning to write descriptive texts for grade VII students of SMP NU Kaplongan in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

With the help of the Wordwall application and discovery learning, this project intends to create an e-module that will enhance students' comprehension of mathematical concepts related to circles. The validation results showed that the media experts received an average score of 4.64 in the valid category, the LKPD experts received an average score of 4.33 in the valid category, and the teaching module experts received an average score of 4.3 in the valid category. The evaluation of teacher responses to the e-module created during the trial is used to review the practicality analysis. Specifically, small-scale trials received an average score of 70.9% in the very practical category, while field-scale trials received an average score of 89.6%, placing them in the very practical category. Student responses on a small scale received an average score of 78.40% in the practical category, and field trials received an average score of 81.46% in the very practical category.The average post-test score for students' grasp of mathematical concepts in small-scale trials using discovery learning was 70.5, placing them in the effective category. On the field scale, the average post-test score was 83.8%, placing them in the very effective category, indicating a rise between small-scale and field trials.

Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif studi kasus ini menganalisis tantangan pembelajaran perkalian bersusun pada 36 siswa kelas III SD Negeri Bangkalan dengan fokus pada 6 siswa berkemampuan rendah. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen menunjukkan 40,6% siswa di bawah KKM dengan tiga tantangan utama: konsentrasi rendah (10-15 menit), waktu pembelajaran terbatas (2×35menit), dan remedial seragam. Simpulan penelitian mengkonfirmasi bahwa kesulitan perkalian bersusun dipengaruhi interaksi faktor kognitif dan kendala sistemik, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang personal dan kontekstual.

Abstract

Peran acara saat ini sangat penting seiring dengan perkembangan zaman yang terjadi, kini sebuah acara tidak lagi sebagai perayaan atau peringatan namun berkembang menjadi sebuah cara yang digunakan dalam menaikan nama, mempromosikan sesuatu dan lain sebagainya. Salah satu jasa event organizer yang saat ini ada yaitu pada PT Prisma Multimedia Solusi dengan memiliki banyak nya kompetitor. Komunikasi pemasaran merupakan langkah strategis yang harus dilakukan oleh perusahaan dalam mengenalkan nama kepada publik dan juga bersaing dengan kompetitornya.. Pendekatan kualitatif telah digunakan dalam metode pada penelitian ini. Data deskriptif mengenai individu dan perilaku yang diamati, dalam bentuk tulisan maupun lisan telah dihasilkan dalam prosedur pendekatan ini. Pada penelitian ini, hasil analisis wawancara terhadap para narasumber menunjukan bahwa strategi komunikasi pada PT Prisma Multimedia Solusi telah dirancang secara sistematis menggunakan kerangka kerja SOSTAC, dengan metode word of mouth. Strategi ini cukup efektif dalam mempromosikan jasa kepada publik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan mengenai strategi komunikasi pemasaran PT Multimedia Solusi dalam mempromosikan jasa event organizer kepada publik dapat disimpulkan bahwa : 1. Strategi pemasaran PT Prisma Multimedia Solusi telah dirancang sistematis dengan kerangka kerja SOSTAC 2. Dengan pendekatan word of mouth dan website PT Prisma Multimedia Solusi meskipun belum dapat mencapai target nya.
