Abstract

Musa Cavendishii (Pisang Cavendish) telah disintensis menjadi CDs dengan menggunakan metode bottom-up pemanasan microwave. CDs yang dihasilkan dikaraterisasi menggunakan analisis fotoluminisens untuk mengetahui sifat optik berupa intensitas pendaran dan panjang gelombang pendaran yang dihasilkan. CDs pisang Cavendish dieksitasi dengan Laser Pico dengan panjang gelombang 400-700 nm sehingga menghasilkan pendaran berwarna sian. Dari hasil karakterisasi fotoluminsens menunjukkan puncak grafik pada panjang gelombang 497 nm dengan intensitas pendaran 44 a.u. yang mengindikasikan bahwa CDs yang dihasilkan memiliki pendaran yang kuat dan stabil. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa CDs dapat disintesis dari bahan organik tanpa kandungan asam dengan menggunakan metode microwave yang efektif, efisien, dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Saccharum Officinarum L is native to Asian countries, including Asia. Indonesia is the third-largest sugarcane producer in the ASEAN region. The amount of sugarcane production represents the potential amount of bagasse waste obtained. Bagasse has not been used properly and optimally in Indonesia. Bagasse contains 43.6% cellulose; hemicellulose 33.8%; lignin 18.1%; ash 2.3% and wax 0.8%. The purpose of this study was to isolate bagasse cellulose with 5% of nitric acid. We determined the organoleptic powder properties and pharmacopeial specifications of bagasse cellulose as pharmaceutical raw materials. As a result, the test parameters as pharmaceutical raw materials for bagasse cellulose met the requirements compared to Japan Pharmacopeia XV except for the ash content value. Bagasse cellulose powder had a white color, a water content of 5.93%, and pH 6.7. It was insoluble in water-ethanol and ether and had Pb-Cr-Cd metal content <10 ppm. The microbial limits were below the specified requirements. The ash content was 0.6, the bulk density was 0.136, the tapped density was 0.158, Carr’s index was 13.92, the Hausner ratio was 1.162, and the angle of repose was 56.4. Based on the angle of repose value, bagasse cellulose powder had fairly good flow properties.

Abstract

Tingginya permintaan jasa fotografi dapat membuka lahan bisnis dan meningkatkan potensi kewiraushaan, terkhusus di kalangan pemuda. Studio foto dan shooting dapat memberikan hasil foto yang sesuai dengan keinginan dan kebutuhan klien. Studio foto menyediakan berbagai fasilitas dalam mengontrol objek foto. Studi foto dan shooting dapat dijadikan sebagai usaha dan upaya dalam pengembangan potensi kewirausahaan pemuda di Kecamatan Sinjai Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana strategi dan inovasi yang dikembangkan oleh usaha studio foto dan shooting dalam mengembangkan potensi kewirausahaan pemuda di Kecamatan Sinjai Utara. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian Field research (penelitian lapangan) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa strategi yang dapat dikembangkan oleh studio foto dan shooting adalah dengan memanfaatkan sosial media sebagai wadah untuk memperkenalkan studio foto dan shooting serta memngupayakan peningkatan kreativitas yang berkaitan dengan fotografi. Adapun inovasi yang dapat diaktualisasikan adalah menyediakan studio yang menarik serta menerima tawaran foto indoor dan outdoor.

Abstract

The increasing bacterial resistances to antibiotics are serious threat to world health. In Indonesia, there are resistant bacteria such as Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). In order to overcome the problem, the compounds contained in the Hibiscus sabdariffa L. are potential to be developed as new antibacterial against MRSA. To confirm the antibacterial activity, the extract of roselle calyx was tested against MRSA. The twelve compounds contained in the extract was docked into binding site of PBP2a using Autodock 4.2.6. The results showed MIC 2.5% of roselle extract. Two flavonoid compounds comply the Lipinski’s rules and the docking results showed all compounds had higher binding affinity than reference ligand ceftobiprole. The quantitative structure-physicochemical property relationship (QSPR) found that steric property (CMR) and energy (Etotal) of ligand contributed to the binding affinity against PBP2a. It concluded kaempferol-rutinoside was the most potential compound from H. sabdariffa that could be selected as lead compound to be develop as antibacterial agents.

Abstract

Yogurt is a health drink that can boost the immune system. However, public understanding of the benefits of yogurt and the ability to produce yogurt independently is still low, leading to the underutilization of local raw materials. This program aims to provide knowledge, technology, education, and skills in making fruit-based yogurt to the PDA Aisyiyah-supported MSME Group in Sidoarjo Regency, to increase interest in household-scale yogurt production. The methods used include counseling, lectures, discussions, hands-on practice, and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The training results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the benefits and production of fruit yogurt. This program also encourages participants' creativity in creating new flavor variants, which attract consumer interest and can increase income. The sustainability of this program is expected to have a positive impact on community welfare and the development of MSMEs in Sidoarjo. Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of benzoyl dialkylurea derivatives to meet the global need for new antibiotic lead compounds. Four compounds were tested in vitro against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Candida albicans by broth dilution method using ciprofloxacin and nystatin as standards. Docking simulations were performed to target essential proteins including DNA gyrase, FabH, RNA polymerase in bacterial cells and DHFR in C. albicans. BDMU, BEU1, BEU2, BEU3 exhibited antibacterial activity while BEU1 and BEU2 showed weak antifungal activity against C. albicans. The BDMU, BEU2, BEU3 considered promising growth inhibition against P. aeruginosa. In silico molecular docking on DNA gyrase from P. aeruginosa (PDB. 6M1S) was proposed as a model for mechanism of action in bacterial cells. The monobenzoyl of dialkylurea containing urea functionality with chloro-substituent at position-2 and 4 on aromatic rings were potential as lead compound to generate new antibacterial agent.

Abstract

Objective: Sistem Nanoemulsi Penghantaran Obat (Self-Nanoemulsifying Drug Delivery System/SNEDDS) merupakan salah satu pendekatan inovatif dalam penghantaran obat yang bertujuan meningkatkan kelarutan dan bioavailabilitas obat-obatan yang sulit larut dalam air. Bioavalabilitas merupakan kunci penting dalam penyerapan obat dari saluran pencernaan sehingga peningkatan bioavailabilitas dapat memperbaiki profil kinetika obat dalam tubuh. Review terhadap SNEDDS pada artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengulas mengenai keunggulan SNEDDS, desain formulasi dan memahami karakteristik SNEDDS yang baik sebagai sebuah bentuk sistem pengahantaran obat. Methods: jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan pada artikel ini adalah literature review dengan cara mengumpulkan artikel dalam bentuk jurnal mengenai topik desain formulasi dan karakteristik SNEDDS. Results: SNEDDS dibuat dengan menggabungkan berbagai minyak, surfaktan, dan co-surfaktan. Keberhasilan formulasi dari SNEDDS membutuhkan ketelitian yang besar dalam pemilihan komposisi formulasi. Studi preformulasi seperti solubilitas, efisiensi emulsifikasi harus dilakukan untuk menentukan pilihan yang tepat dalam formulasi SNEDDS. Conclusion: Dalam rentang tahun 2005-2020, penelitian dan pengembangan SNEDDS telah menunjukkan potensinya dalam meningkatkan kelarutan dan bioavailabilitas obat-obat yang sulit larut dalam air. Meskipun masih ada tantangan yang perlu diatasi, SNEDDS memiliki potensi yang besar dalam meningkatkan efisiensi terapi obat.

Abstract

Hibiscus sabdariffa L. (Hs) is recognized to have various pharmacological activities such as antibacterial, antiedema, anti-fungal, antihypertensive, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral. The aquous extract of Hs’ calyx which is rich in polyphenols and flavonoids displayed antibacterial activity against several bacteria so that the compounds are important to be developed further as antibacterial agents. This study aims to find out which compounds contained in the extract have the antibacterial potency based on in silico interaction with gyrase B. Physicochemical descriptors of ten compounds were evaluated before molecular docking study, and the docking simulation was executed with Autodocktools 1.5.6. The selected compounds based on Lipinski’s Rules and their lower DG0 were subjected to prediction of pharmacokinetic and toxicity (ADMET) using pKCSM online tool. The results gave five test compounds showed the higher binding affinity on gyrase B compared to quercetin which served as inhibitor of the enzyme. The glycosides displayed better scores due to the existence of more hydroxyl groups. The potential aglycones were myricetin and delphinidin. According to the ADMET parameters, the two compounds have the best profile where they were neither hepatotoxic nor carcinogenic and also safer due to the higher LD50. In conclusion, the myricetin and delphinidin generated better binding interaction than the ligand inhibitor of gyrase B which indicated that they have higher potential as antibacterial agents.

Abstract

This article was compiled to examine and describe the role of Islamic religious education teachers in dealing with changes in student morale due to the influence of technological advances at SMK Negeri 1 Sinjai. This research is a qualitative research. The data collection method in this study is by summarizing the results of interviews, observation and documentation. The source of the data in this study was the PAI teacher at SMK Negeri 1 Sinjai, the data used were primary data and secondary data as well as the results of previous studies that were considered relevant. After the data is collected, content analysis is carried out to get precise and accurate conclusions. The focus in this study is moral change and technological progress. The results of this study indicate that changes in student morale due to technological advances at SMK Negeri 1 Sinjai experience changes in attitude/moral crisis. So that PAI teachers provide assistance, guidance and coaching by instilling religious values in students so that they have spiritual strength.

Abstract

Nanostructured Zinc Oxide (ZnO) has been successfully synthesized using hydrothermal method. All precursors were mixed and stirred using an ultrasonic cleaner for 10 minutes until the sample was homogeneously mixed. Then, the samples were put into a Teflon-coated stainless steel autoclave and heated at 100ºC for 6 hours. Characterization of the optical properties of ZnO nanoparticles was carried out using UV-Vis Diffuse Reflectance spectrophotometer test. Furthermore, the optical properties will be analyzed referring to the reflectance pattern so that the band gap energy of ZnO nanoparticles can be determined using the Tauc Plot technique. The results of Tauc Plot analysis show that the band gap energy of ZnO nanoparticles is at 2.97 eV.
