Abstract

The modern era is characterized by rapid and diverse access to information, including sexual content thatdoes not always align with Islamic moral values. In this context, sexual education is urgently needed to shape a physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy generation. This article conceptually examines the urgency of sexual education based on verses 30, 33, and 58 of the Quran. Using textual interpretation, analysis of moral educational values, and practical application, this study concludes that both verses contain principles that support ethical and preventative Islamic sexual education. Recommendations are provided forfamilies, educational institutions, and public policy to integrate sexual education into contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

Environmental education is an important aspect in developing ecological awareness in students from an early age. This paper aims to analyze the approaches, methods, and applications of environmental education in the learning process. The approaches used include interdisciplinary, contextual, participatory, and problem- based learning, which are considered capable of fostering active student involvement in understanding environmental issues. Meanwhile, the methods used include field observations, case studies, discussions, and debates that serve to develop critical and analytical thinking skills, as well as an attitude of concern for the environment. The application of environmental education is carried out by utilizing the real environment, integration into subjects, and the use of digital technology- based media. The results of this study confirm that environmental education implemented innovatively can increase ecological awareness, build 21st-century skills, and instill values of social responsibility and desire in students.

Abstract

Generation Z is the generation born between 1995 and 2010 and is known as the iGeneration or the internet generation because their lives are closely connected to digital technology. Easy access to information and culture from outside brings positive impacts, but also has the potential to cause negative impacts if not balanced with adequate value instillation. Therefore, value education is crucial to shape the personality of Gen Z so that they are able to utilize technology wisely while maintaining the nation's noble values. This study aims to determine the urgency of value education for Generation Z in the digital era. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing articles, journals, and other relevant sources, then the data is analyzed based on thematic studies. The results show that value education plays a strategic role in instilling honesty, responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and tolerance, so that Gen Z not only develops intellectually, but also has a moral personality, culture, and strong character. Thus, value education is very urgent to create a resilient generation and able to make a positive contribution to the nation amidst the rapid flow of digitalization.

Abstract

The low critical thinking ability of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Muara Dua in Civics subjects causes low student grades, because learning does not use supporting learning media so that students do not understand and are less interested in Civics learning. For this reason, audio-visual media learning media are needed. This study aims to determine the effect of audio-visual media on students' critical thinking abilities in Civics learning of fifth grade students of SDN Muara Dua. This type of research is quantitative research with a Quasi Experiment approach. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SDN 1 Muara Dua totaling 100 students. The sampling of this study used Random sampling. The sample in this study was from two classes, namely 25 students of class V/a as the Control class and 25 students of class V/c as the experimental group. The data collection technique in this study was a test technique in the form of a pretest and posttest. With data analysis using SPSS 25 software. Hypothesis testing using the T test (Independent Sample T-test). Based on the results of the study, tcount 5.825> ttable = 1.677 at a significance level of 0.05, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of audio-visual media on students' critical thinking skills in the Civics subject of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Muara Dua, because audio-visual media has a positive impact on students being more active in understanding, honing critical thinking skills and inviting students to be more active in solving problems related to the material of rights and obligations.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to address the crucial issue of organic waste. Organic waste management can be carried out by producing compost and utilizing it as a planting medium for vegetables. This research is based on the constructivist approach in education, which emphasizes that students actively construct their own knowledge through interaction with their environment and personal experiences. This theory is student-centered, with the teacher acting as a facilitator who guides the learning process.The research method used is a qualitative case study approach. The subjects of this study were 31 sixth-grade students from SDN Guyangan. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.The results showed that 28 students were able to produce compost and effectively use it as a growing medium for vegetables.The conclusion of this study is that the application of constructivist theory in learning was successful, as evidenced by the students' ability to manage organic waste and turn it into useful compost for planting vegetables.

Abstract

Speaking skill is one of the essential language competencies that support the learning success of elementary school students. However, in reality, most second-grade students still face difficulties in expressing ideas coherently, lack self-confidence, and have limited vocabulary use. This study aims to analyze the speaking skills of second-grade students at SD Negeri Kalibuntu through the application of the storytelling method. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with second-grade students of SD Negeri Kalibuntu as the subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, covering several indicators of speaking skills, including fluency, confidence, vocabulary use, expression, intonation, and comprehension of the story. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the storytelling method improved students’ speaking skills across all indicators. Students became more fluent in delivering stories, more confident in performing in front of the class, used new vocabulary, and showed more appropriate expressions and intonation. Thus, the storytelling method is proven to be effective in enhancing elementary students’ speaking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low emotional management, lack of self-confidence possessed by students, which impacts the learning outcomes obtained. This study aims to determine the relationship between intellectual and emotional intelligence on student learning outcomes on the subject of harmony in ecosystems. This research is a correlational study. The data collection technique used a Likert scale questionnaire on intellectual and emotional intelligence totaling 17 and 16 statement items and a test was conducted for student learning outcomes on the subject of harmony in ecosystems totaling 20 multiple-choice questions and data analysis was carried out with prerequisite tests (normality tests, and linearity tests) and hypothesis tests. The results of the study obtained with a total of 50 respondents that on average (1) there is a positive relationship between intellectual intelligence and student learning outcomes on the subject of harmony in ecosystems of 0.997 with a significance value of 0.000, (2) there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and student learning outcomes on the subject of harmony in ecosystems with a value of 0.445 and a significance value of 0.014, and (3) there is a relationship between intellectual and emotional intelligence and student learning outcomes on the subject of harmony in ecosystems with an R Square value of 0.630 and an Adjusted R Square of 0.598.

Abstract

The digital era has changed education, and there is now a need for new ways to teach Pancasila values. Civic Education (PKn) is an important subject that must find ways to connect these values to students' lives in today's digital world. This study looks at effective methods for incorporating values education into PKn learning. The goal was to develop a Pancasila Student Profile in the digital era by reviewing 25 accredited journal articles. The findings revealed three effective strategies: using digital technology with interactive learning media, applying constructivist and project-based learning methods, and improving teachers' roles as digital role models. Implementing these strategies significantly helped instill the values of tolerance (72%), responsibility (68%), and digital skills (75%) in students. The study concluded that successfully integrating values education into PKn in the digital era requires a thorough approach. This approach needs to blend Pancasila value content, innovative teaching methods, and smart use of technology, with success relying on teacher readiness and support from the digital educational environment.

Abstract

Students often experience a decline in motivation and concentration, which hinders the learning process. They also face difficulties in narrative writing, such as organizing texts, understanding stories, and using appropriate language. As a result, their writing often fails to meet the criteria for content and grammar. This study aims to determine whether learning motivation and self-concept influence students' narrative writing ability. The research was conducted at Pulogadung Cluster 1 Public Elementary Schools (binaan 1), with a total population of 466 students. The sample consisted of 215 respondents selected through probability sampling using a multi-stage sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires. The independent variables in this study are learning motivation and self-concept, while the dependent variable is narrative writing ability. All variables were measured using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using linear regression. Based on the standard estimation for the variables of learning motivation (X1), self-concept (X2), and narrative writing ability (Y), the structural equation is: ŷ = 0.070 + 0.513X1 + 0.519X2. The results show that learning motivation has a positive significance value of 0.513, indicating that it affects narrative writing ability; similarly, self-concept has a positive significance value of 0.519, also indicating its effect on narrative writing ability. Learning motivation and self-concept simultaneously contribute 53.1% to narrative writing ability, while the remaining 46.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Furthermore, self-concept contributes 40.1%, and learning motivation contributes 37.5% to narrative writing ability. These findings suggest that the more positive the self-concept and the higher the students' learning motivation, the better their narrative writing ability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) literacy on cognitive readiness and learning adaptability within the context of economic education at Universitas Terbuka (Open University). A quantitative survey design was employed, involving 344 undergraduate students. The research instrument was a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire encompassing three main variables: AI literacy, cognitive readiness, and learning adaptability. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0, including validity and reliability testing, as well as path analysis to examine direct, indirect, and mediating effects among variables. The results revealed that AI literacy had a significant positive effect on both cognitive readiness (β = 0.614; p < 0.001) and learning adaptability (β = 0.318; p < 0.001). Cognitive readiness also significantly influenced learning adaptability (β = 0.467; p < 0.001). Furthermore, mediation analysis indicated that cognitive readiness partially mediated the relationship between AI literacy and learning adaptability (β = 0.287; p < 0.001). Overall, Universitas Terbuka students demonstrated high levels of AI literacy, cognitive preparedness, and adaptability to digital learning environments. These findings reinforce cognitive readiness theory and broaden the digital economic education literature by highlighting AI literacy as not merely a technical skill but a cognitive foundation for adaptive learning in the age of artificial intelligence. The study recommends integrating AI literacy into economic education curricula, developing AI-based pedagogical training for lecturers, and implementing personalized AI-assisted learning systems within open and distance universities.
