Abstract

Learning media are tools or materials used by teachers in the classroom to facilitate the delivery of material more effectively. In this study, the media developed was tailored to the school’s needs based on preliminary observations, specifically a digital Pop-Up Book learning media. This research aims to examine the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the digital Pop-Up Book learning media on flat-sided solid geometry material to improve the mathematical communication skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Kakap. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a modified 4D method reduced to 3D, consisting of the define, design, and develop stages. The data collection techniques employed include measurement techniques, indirect communication, and direct communication. The instruments used consist of validation sheets, questionnaires, and tests. Data were analyzed using validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The validity test results showed a percentage of 83.3% categorized as very valid, the practicality test yielded 92.02% categorized as very practical, and the effectiveness test reached 80% categorized as effective.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa dalam pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam dan sosial (IPAS) dengan menggunakan Model CTL (Contexstual Teaching And Learning) Berbantu Media Diorama, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskripsi kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di salah satu sekolah dasar di wilayah Gresik. Target penelitian terdiri dari atas 5 siswa dari kelas V. Dengan menggunakan Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi kepada siswa kelas 5, wawancara kepada guru kelas 5 dan kepala sekolah SDN 306 Gresik dan dokumentasi dari hasil nilai sumatif siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesulitan belajar yang dihadapi siswa dapat dikelompokkan menjadi 3 kategori utama: (1) Kesulitan memahami konsep abstrak dalam materi IPAS dan menghubungkannya dengan konteks kehidupan nyata. (2) Kesulitan Penguasaan materi, siswa tidak mampu mengingat atau menerapkan materi IPAS. (3) Kurangnya minat belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa. (4) Kurangnya keaktifan siswa dalam bertanya dan berdiskusi ketika mengalami kesulitan dan kebingungan. Model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) dan Media Diorama sebagai alat bantu belajar mampu mendorong keterlibatan siswa, meskipun beberapa siswa masih membutuhkan pendampingan lebih lanjut untuk memahami materi secara menyeluruh. Abstract

This study aims to describe the character of the main character in the novel Salah Asuhan by Abdoel Moeis. This novel depicts the inner and social conflicts experienced by the character Hanafi, a native who is influenced by Western culture, as well as his tragic relationship with Corrie du Bussee, an Indo-Dutch woman. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literary psychology approach. Data were obtained through an in-depth reading of the novel text and analyzed based on character and characterization theories. The results show that the main character, Hanafi, has a complex character characterized by ambition, low self-esteem, stubbornness, and being torn between traditional values ​​and Western modernity. This character is a reflection of the clash of colonial cultures that occurred during the Dutch colonial period. In addition, Abdoel Moeis through the character of Hanafi wants to convey criticism of the attitude of society that loses its identity due to the influence of foreign culture. This study is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the depiction of characters in classical Indonesian literature and become teaching materials in literature learning in secondary schools.

Abstract

The development of positive emotions in elementary school children is an important aspect in character building and learning success. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Banyuwangi has various extracurricular activities such as scouting, karate, futsal, dancing, painting, and samroh, which not only develop talents but also serve as a means of fostering positive emotions in students. This study aims to describe the implementation of extracurricular activities at MIN 1 Banyuwangi and analyze their contribution to the development of positive emotions in elementary school children. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants consisted of 1 school principal, 6 supervising teachers, 12 active students, and 3 classroom teachers. Data analysis used the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, as well as validity testing with triangulation. The results show that extracurricular activities at MIN 1 Banyuwangi play a significant role in fostering discipline, responsibility, empathy, cooperation, self-confidence, and spiritual peace. Each activity has its own emotional value according to its field. It is concluded that extracurricular activities are an effective instrument for shaping students' emotional, social, and spiritual balance and an integral part of character education in madrasahs.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas proses pembelajaran Fisika di kelas XII SMA Daarul Qur’an Cikarang tahun ajaran 2025/2026 dengan fokus pada strategi pedagogis guru dan respons peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif melalui penyebaran kuesioner berbasis skala Likert kepada 50 responden siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase untuk menilai kecenderungan persepsi terhadap kejelasan penyampaian materi, variasi metode pengajaran, pemanfaatan media pembelajaran, keterlibatan siswa, serta pemberian umpan balik oleh guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa menilai pembelajaran Fisika berlangsung secara efektif, interaktif, dan menyenangkan, dengan tingkat kepuasan keseluruhan mencapai 82%. Secara keseluruhan, evaluasi ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas pembelajaran Fisika di SMA Daarul Qur’an telah berada pada kategori baik dan relevan dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka, namun tetap memerlukan penguatan pada dimensi inovasi dan kontekstualisasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the direction, effectiveness, and continuity of the fiscal policy of the Padang Panjang City Government as regulated in three main legal instruments: Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 4 of 2023 on the 2024 Regional Budget (APBD), Perda Number 1 of 2024 on Regional Taxes and Levies, and Perda Number 3 of 2024 on the Amendment to the 2024 Regional Budget. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using document analysis and triangulation of recent academic literature. The findings reveal that the 2024 regional budget structure remains heavily dependent on central government transfers (81.8%), while locally generated revenue (PAD) contributes only 18.2%. However, the implementation of digital-based local tax policy under Perda Number 1 of 2024 and productive expenditure reallocation under Perda Number 3 of 2024 demonstrate a strong commitment to fiscal efficiency and transparency. The study concludes that Padang Panjang’s fiscal policy aligns with the principles of prudential fiscal management, though institutional capacity and financial digitalization need strengthening to achieve sustainable fiscal autonomy.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas mini drum dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan musikal anak di Taman Kanak-kanak Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kota Padang. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan permasalahan berdasarkan fakta dilapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan musikal anak belum berkembang secara maksimal, seperti anak yang tidak merespon dalam bernyanyi, sulit untuk mengikuti setiap ketukan dan tempo musik, serta sulit untuk mencocokkan nada dan irama sesuai dengan lagu yang didengarkan. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dalam bentuk quasi eksperimen. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu empat puluh empat anak, dengan sampel penelitiian B1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan B2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Prosedur pengumpulan data melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis dan uji effect size dengan menggunakan SPSS 30 for windows. Hasil penelitian pada pre-test menemukan bahwa kelompok kontrol memperoleh rata-rata 12,80 dan kelompok eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata 13,70. Setelah dilakukan treatment skor post-test rata-rata adalah 25,70 pada kelompok eksperimen dan 2016 pada kelompok kontrol. Nilai sig (2-tailed) yang diperoleh dari uji t adalah 0,003 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan terdapat efek yang signifikan antara mini drum terhadap perkembangan musikal.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious issue that still frequently occurs in school environments and has a significant impact on the psychological condition of students. Victims of bullying generally experience stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and even a decline in learning motivation. One approach that can be used to help address these conditions is mindfulness, which is the practice of full awareness of the present moment consciously and without judgment. The purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of implementing mindfulness in reducing stress among students who are victims of bullying at MI NW Reban Tebu. This research employs a qualitative phenomenological approach. Qualitative data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that, theoretically, mindfulness is highly relevant and effective in helping students manage stress caused by bullying, increase self-awareness, and control negative emotions. However, its implementation at MI NW Reban Tebu has not been optimal due to the teachers’ limited knowledge of mindfulness, as well as the absence of specific training and supporting facilities. Nevertheless, simple mindfulness practices such as breathing exercises and self-reflection have been proven to help students become calmer, think more clearly, and gradually build self-confidence. Thus, the application of mindfulness has great potential as a psychological intervention strategy to reduce stress among students who are victims of bullying, provided that it is supported by adequate teacher understanding and appropriate school policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of library collection utilization on students’ learning achievement at SMA Negeri 1 Junjung Sirih, Solok Regency. The research was motivated by the low frequency of students visiting the school library despite the adequate availability of library collections. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The population consisted of 480 students, while the sample comprised 83 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using validity, reliability, and simple linear regression tests. The results indicated that the level of library collection utilization was in the moderate category, while students’ learning achievement was in the high category. The regression analysis revealed a positive and significant influence between the utilization of library collections and students’ learning achievement. Thus, the higher the level of library collection utilization, the better the students’ academic performance. This finding emphasizes the importance of optimizing the role of school libraries as learning resource centers to enhance students’ academic quality.
