Abstract

Culture and mathematics are closely related. Ethnomathematics is the study of how mathematics is used and understood in various cultures. This study aims to develop a PBL-based traditional Joglo house puzzle media in mathematics learning in grade V of elementary school. This study uses a modification of the ADDIE development model which uses three stages, namely: 1) Analysis, 2) Design and 3) Development. This stage was modified into three stages because the researcher only wanted to focus on product development planning in order to produce a feasible product. Data collection in this study used the interview stage and distributed questionnaires. Based on the analysis of data obtained through the validation process from several reviewers, namely two media experts and teacher responses. The results of the validation test obtained from media expert I got a score of 3.81 with the Good category, then from media expert II got a score of 4.54 with the Very Good category and the last from the teacher's response got a score of 4.6 with the Very Good category. In accordance with the three values ​​obtained, the average result obtained was 4.31 with the Very Good category. Therefore, based on the values ​​obtained from the validation results, it can be concluded that the development of PBL-based Joglo traditional house puzzle media in geometry learning for grade V of elementary school is feasible to use.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the characteristics and analyze the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of graphic organizer-based pop-up book learning media. The problems found in the field are the lack of student participation in the science and science learning process, which is caused by the application of conventional teaching methods, little activity and interaction in class, and less emphasis on the application of science or knowledge, so that students' scientific literacy is low. This research uses a Research & Development (R & D) research design with a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The research results showed that pop-up book learning media based on graphic organizers was declared very feasible with an average result of 4.83 material experts and 4.58 media experts. The graphic organizer-based pop-up book learning medium was stated to be very practical by teachers and students, with an average score of 96%. Apart from that, pop-up book learning media based on graphic organizers are able to improve students' scientific literacy skills in science material. This is proven by the results of the N-Gain test, which obtained a score in the experimental class of 0.7 with high criteria. Meanwhile, the control class also showed an increase of 0.6 with moderate criteria. This shows that improving learning outcomes in the experimental class is more effective than in the control class. Apart from that, the results of the independent sample t test show that the sig. (2-tailed) 0.011 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that the application of graphic organizer-based pop-up book learning media can increase students' literacy.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve thematic learning outcomes for theme 6 through a scientific approach for 3rd grade students at SDN 01 Klegen, Madiun City. The subjects of this research were 20 class III students at SDN 01 Klegen, Madiun City. This research was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle included 4 (four) stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observation and reflection. This research used a cycle method consisting of 2 cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and tests. The results of the research showed that applying a scientific approach can improve thematic learning outcomes for theme 6 in 3rd grade at SDN 01 Klegen, Madiun City. This was proved by an increase in the average value of student learning outcomes from 68.50 in cycle I to 82.00 in cycle II.

Abstract

Limited involvement of stakeholders, lack of action plans that are appropriate to the situation and conditions, lack of evaluation and monitoring. This has an impact on the unclear direction and goals of the school. The problem to be researched focuses on the application of educational management standards in planning the school's vision, mission and goals at Al-Madani IT Middle School. The goal that is expected to be achieved in this research is to overcome the above problems in achieving educational management standards at SMP IT Al-Madani Gunung Pati, Semarang City. In this research, the author used qualitative research methods. The research method uses qualitative methods and a descriptive approach. The formulation of the Vision and Mission has not been implemented properly. This is of course a lesson for all parties, especially the leadership of the Foundation Institution, because what was conveyed by the Principal of the School has not been supported or committed between stakeholders so that the information obtained is not in sync between the Foundation Institution and the school, a situation like this cannot continue continuously and it is necessary to planning for more mature management standards is carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the principal's strategies in building teacher discipline character at SD Negeri 03 Ngepungsari, Jatipuro, Karanganyar. This qualitative descriptive research collected data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the principal's strategies in building teacher discipline character at SD Negeri 03 Ngepungsari focus on several main aspects: enforcing rules, monitoring teachers' punctuality in teaching, role modeling, giving rewards and punishments, checking completeness of teaching aids, and providing mentoring to teachers. The principal plays a crucial role as a manager, leader, and supervisor to enhance teacher discipline at the school.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the education financing management at MTs Ar-Rois Cendekia with a focus on sources, challenges, strategies, and performance evaluation. A qualitative research method was employed using data collection techniques including participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Findings indicate that the sources of education financing come from various channels, including government funding, community contributions, and student fees. Challenges faced include resource limitations, fund fluctuations, and parental involvement in education financing. To address these challenges, the school has developed various strategies such as diversification of funding sources, enhanced financial transparency, and participatory decision-making approaches. Financial performance evaluations are conducted periodically to ensure the effectiveness of implemented strategies. The implications of these findings underscore the importance of education financing management in achieving quality education objectives. Recommendations include strengthening collaboration with external stakeholders, fundraising efforts, enhancing financial transparency, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing effective risk management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi implementasi filosofi "Sistem Among dan Pendidikan Budi Pekerti" Ki Hajar Dewantara dalam kegiatan intrakurikuler di SD Negeri Tlogosari Kulon 04 Semarang. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan penerapan konsep ini. Penelitian berlangsung dari Maret hingga Juni 2024, melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa sebagai informan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi partisipatif, wawancara terstruktur, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sistem among di SDN Tlogosari Kulon 04 dilakukan melalui upaya nyata menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan mendukung perkembangan potensi siswa. Guru menyesuaikan materi dan metode pengajaran dengan minat, kemampuan, dan gaya belajar individu siswa, menggunakan metode seperti diskusi kelompok, presentasi, permainan edukatif, dan kegiatan praktik lapangan. Observasi di kelas menunjukkan guru menunjukkan sikap peduli dan hormat terhadap siswa, menciptakan suasana belajar yang ramah dan mendukung. Wawancara dengan kepala sekolah menegaskan bahwa filosofi sistem among yang dianut sekolah menekankan pengajaran dan bimbingan dengan kasih sayang. Namun, beberapa guru belum sepenuhnya memahami konsep ini meskipun telah menerapkannya dalam pembelajaran. Guru berusaha menghargai perbedaan siswa dan memberikan kebebasan mengeksplorasi minat dan bakat melalui tugas dan proyek sesuai minat mereka. Studi dokumen mengungkap bahwa kurikulum, modul ajar, dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) mencerminkan upaya menyesuaikan materi dan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan minat dan kemampuan individu siswa. Catatan refleksi guru menunjukkan upaya mereka dalam memberikan bimbingan khusus kepada siswa yang memiliki minat tertentu. Kesimpulannya, SDN Tlogosari Kulon 04 telah menerapkan filosofi "Sistem Among dan Pendidikan Budi Pekerti" melalui berbagai strategi pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Tantangan dalam keberagaman siswa dihadapi dengan penyesuaian dan bimbingan khusus. Saran meliputi peningkatan fasilitas, pengembangan kompetensi guru dalam asesmen dan observasi, pelibatan orang tua, serta program pendampingan atau mentoring bagi siswa.

Abstract

The research carried out focused on developing Liveworksheet-based E-LKPD learning media for class VI elementary school Civics lesson content, especially Rights and Obligations material. This research was carried out using the R&D development research method with the ADDIE model. In the ADDIE model there are five stages, namely Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. In this research, the researcher tried to reach the Evaluate stage because the researcher wanted to know to what extent this development was suitable for use based on the assessment of the validator. The results of validation of learning media by media experts and material experts obtained a score of 85% which is included in the Very Appropriate or Very Good category because the percentage of validation results is in the range 81-100%. Thus, Liveworksheet-based E-LKPD learning media for Civics lesson content is very suitable for use in the learning process. This Liveworksheet-based E-LKPD learning media can increase the use of technology, on the other hand it also makes students enthusiastic in participating in the learning process.

Abstract

The background for conducting this research is the existence of children's moral decadence which is characterized by widespread issues regarding cases of moral deviation involving children. In cases that often occur in schools, a lack of moral understanding makes children easily commit violence against their own friends. Apart from that, other things such as being rude to teachers and cheating, are also other examples of moral problems. For this reason, we need a way to overcome children's moral problems, so that it is hoped that these problems will no longer occur. One of them is by implementing learning using the VCT (Value Clarification Technique) method based on TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical And Content Knowledge) to improve students' moral reasoning in Civics learning in elementary schools. The research was carried out at SD Negeri CR, with the research subjects being 27 students in sixth grade (20 boys, 7 girls). Data analysis techniques use tests and documentation. The results of this research indicate that the use of the TPACK-based VCT method improves students' moral value reasoning. Proven by an increase in learning outcomes in 2 cycles. The second cycle showed an increase in Learning Completeness to 24 children, from only 10 children previously. With this increase in the level of learning completeness, it can be concluded that the VCT method has a positive impact on students' moral reasoning in thematic learning PKn and SBdP in sixth grade of elementary school.

Abstract

Online learning, demotivation and the use of technology bring problems in education. These conditions are also called learning loss, which appear in all levels of education and are getting worse due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The government issued the Independent Curriculum to reform the Indonesian education system. The Curriculum is the answer to learning loss problems. This research was conducted to explore the implementation of the Independent Curriculum through the Model Project Based Learning at the elementary level. Researcher explores the perspective of the school principal and the first grade’s teacher in implementing the Independent Curriculum through PjBL in class. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Researchers collected data through interviews, portfolios and analysis of related documents from the latest research. This research involved 1 principal and 1 first grade teacher at Bukit Aksara Elementary School, Semarang in the academic year of 2022-2023. To address learning loss, the school principal, as a policy maker, works in synergy with the teachers. Both parties have to get the same vision and mission that is aligned in understanding the independent curriculum, independent learning and how to implement the model PjBL. As a teacher develops resources and teaching skills on PjBL.
