Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

The low narrative writing skills of grade IV students can be influenced by the lack of innovation in the use of learning media in the classroom. There is a need for interesting learning media so that students can be more interested in writing narratives. This research aims to develop learning media such as children's story comic media to improve narrative writing skills in grade IV students in elementary schools. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. For the validity test, three experts were assessed, namely material experts with a percentage of 100%, linguists with a percentage of 74.00%, and media experts with a percentage of 100%. In addition to the acquisition of three experts, to determine the feasibility also used assessments from the responses of educators and students, as for the responses of educators produced a percentage of 94.50%, and those produced by student responses produced 94.30%. So it can be said that children's story comic media can be declared very valid and very suitable to be used for learning in the classroom. As for testing the effectiveness, the assessment was taken from the Pretest and Post-test. The pre-test produced a percentage of 40.00% and the Post-test obtained a percentage result of 82.00%. So it can be said that children's story comic media is very effective to be used for learning in the classroom.

This research aims to analyze the learning needs at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah with a focus on four main aspects: student characteristics, the implemented curriculum, expected learning outcomes, and the teaching media used. We use a qualitative literature study method to analyze relevant literature, including books and journals. Theories related to this topic serve as the data sources. The research results show that the characteristics of students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah include cognitive, emotional, social, motivational, moral, and motor aspects that interact with each other in the learning process. By understanding individual differences, teachers can manage the classroom more effectively and choose appropriate learning media to support the participation of all students. The curriculum functions as a tool for achieving educational objectives, incorporating crucial elements that facilitate its effective implementation. In Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, students aim to achieve learning achievements, which encompass aspects of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that align with the applicable curriculum. This process involves the interaction between new experiences and previous experiences, which contributes to changes in students' attitudes and behaviors. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah expects this research to provide insights for the development of more effective learning strategies. Thus, a comprehensive understanding of student characteristics and the curriculum will enhance the quality of education at the primary level.

This study aims to identify the role of physical education in developing social and emotional skills among elementary school students. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this research gathers data through literature review methods by analyzing relevant literature and previous studies. Social and emotional skills are essential aspects of child development that contribute to academic success and social competence. As an integral part of the elementary school curriculum, physical education provides opportunities for students to learn cooperation, communication, and emotion management through various physical activities and games. The results of the study indicate that physical education effectively enhances students' social skills, such as teamwork, communication, and tolerance, through team activities that require interaction and active participation. Additionally, physical education helps students manage their emotions, especially when facing wins and losses in games. These findings align with Vygotsky's social development theory, which emphasizes the importance of social interaction in child development, as well as Goleman's emotional intelligence theory, which highlights self-regulation and emotional management. The implications of this research demonstrate that physical education serves not only as a medium for physical skill training but also as an effective means to holistically develop students' social and emotional skills. Therefore, strengthening physical education in the elementary school curriculum is expected to help shape better character and personality in students. This study recommends that physical education be designed with a greater emphasis on developing students' social and emotional aspects to contribute to their overall development.

This study uses a type of experimental research with a true experiment research design. The population in the study was 70 students and the sample was 23 seventh grade students who were then divided into 2 groups, namely the treatment group with the Quizizz application and the control group with conventional methods. The data analysis technique used is the mean formula. The results showed that student learning outcomes using the Quizizz application obtained a total score of 757 with an average student score of 75,7. While in the control group students with conventional methods obtained a total student score of 812 with an average student score of 62,5. So it can be concluded that learning with the Quizizz Application is more effective than conventional methods on Science Learning Outcomes of Class VII SMP Negeri 2Panca Rijang Sidendreng Rappang Regency.

In the era of digitalization and modernization, the development of knowledge through scientific research is crucial, yet ethical aspects governing its implementation are often overlooked. Research ethics serve as a moral guide that ensures honesty, transparency, and the protection of research subjects' rights. This study employs a literature review method to collect and analyze various sources related to ethics and research principles. The findings indicate that research ethics encompass the moral obligations of researchers to respect subjects, maintain confidentiality, and minimize risks. Additionally, regulations and writing codes of conduct must be implemented to prevent academic misconduct and plagiarism, which can have serious consequences. In conclusion, the proper application of ethics is vital for producing quality research that benefits society.

Literacy and numeracy skills are essential competencies for students to face the challenges of the 21st century. However, research findings indicate that students' literacy and numeracy skills in Indonesia still need improvement. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) can serve as an alternative model to help enhance students' literacy and numeracy skills through a student-centered learning process. This study aims to conduct a literature review focusing on the design and implementation of PBL in improving students' literacy and numeracy skills. The method used is a literature study with four main stages: determining the theme, searching and selecting literature, analyzing and synthesizing literature, and organizing the writing. The literature review results show that PBL can encourage students to be more active, think critically, and collaborate, which can contribute to enhancing literacy and numeracy skills. Furthermore, the literature review identifies factors that may influence the successful implementation of PBL, including the role of teachers, availability of resources, student engagement, and school policies. This literature review is expected to provide insights for teachers to optimize problem-based learning as an effort to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills.

The leadership of the madrasa head will be successful in leading by implementing various types of leadership styles. Among other types of democratic leadership style, a good leader must be able to manage his institution by coaching the performance of administrative staff. Coaching is carried out for the success of the administrative process in an educational institution and to improve administrative performance. Therefore, the aim of this research is to determine the democratic leadership style of madrasa heads through coaching the performance of administrative staff at MTs Negeri 12 Indramayu. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method. The research subjects were madrasa heads, heads of administration and teachers. This research data collection technique uses observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the leadership style applied by the head of MTs Negeri 12 Indramayu is a democratic leadership style seen from the way his leadership is open and always deliberative in making decisions. The efforts of the madrasa head in developing the performance of administrative administrative staff by conducting training, creating a conducive work environment, fostering a sense of brotherhood, developing the mindset of educational staff, madrasa work plans (RKM), madrasa development plans (RPM). The results of the madrasah head's democratic leadership style in developing the performance of administrative administrative staff are good. The advantages of the madrasah head's democratic leadership style can be seen from the way the madrasah head responds to problems that occur within the madrasah environment. The drawback is that the decision-making process takes a long time because it is taken by deliberation.

Writing is the key to clarifying thoughts and ideas, expressing and clarifying oneself, and improving critical thinking skills, and is a source of self-evaluation. Writing is also a very important part of life literacy. Literacy management is becoming increasingly necessary in today's era. Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim said that literacy fosters critical thinking and ethical use of digital platforms, especially among the younger generation. However, elementary school students' interest in writing stories is still very low because students usually do not have ideas so they do not understand what to explain and present in writing. Therefore, interest in writing needs to be increased starting from elementary education. This study is quantitative and aims to describe the effect of using the Comica application on the interests and writing skills of grade V students of SD Negeri 111/I Bulian. The design of this study is included in the pre-experimental type. Based on the data analysis from the discussion that has been carried out from the results of obtaining hypothesis testing using the t-test, namely with a significance level of 0.05, the t count value = 5.22 is greater than t table = 2.01. In addition, seen from the results of the post-test calculation of the experimental class using comica, it is known that the average value is 80.36 which shows a higher value compared to the control class with an average of 75.24. This increase occurred because using comica media made students more enthusiastic and more excited in the learning process. The existence of learning media such as comica will certainly make learning better and can improve student knowledge. Thus, in this study there is a significant influence between the comica application on the interest in writing stories in grade V students in social studies.

The aim of this study is to describe the implementation model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Scaffolding techniques. This study is also to determine students' mathematical communication skills after the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted by Scaffolding techniques. This research was conducted in class VIIG of SMPN 1 Geger at 2024/2025 academic year. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) design was carried out in 2 cycles, in which the data collection instruments were in the form of test questions and observation sheets. Based on the findings, cycle 1 did not meet the success criteria, so the research was continued to cycle 2. In cycle 2, the success criteria had been achieved, so the Classroom Action Research (CAR) was said to be successful. Furthermore, the communication skills of students are also increased. Some points that must be considered in implementating this learning procedures are firstly, teachers must pay attention to the allocation of time provided for each step of learning in accordance with the Learning Implementation Plan. Secondly, the teacher must optimize his role as a facilitator in Problem Based Learning (PBL) through various scaffolding techniques. Some of the techniques given here can be adapted to other learning models and materials. The teacher needs to be more selective in choosing the right technique for optimalizing learning.

This study aims to understand the role of pop-up books in improving elementary school students' writing skills. It employs the Systematic Literature Review Method, specifically designed to collect, assess, and analyze findings from various studies relevant to a specific research topic. The reviewed literature shows that pop-up books offer a novel solution in Indonesian language learning by presenting information interactively and engagingly through three-dimensional elements. The study's results indicate that pop-up books are effective in enhancing students' writing skills. Therefore, the use of pop-up books can be a solution for improving writing skills in elementary school students.
