Abstract

The lack of media use in learning Indonesian, especially story material, causes students to be less interested in the lesson. Resulting in low listening skills of students because they do not understand the teacher's explanation of the story content. This study was written with the aim of determining the influence of paper puppet media on the ability to listen to stories of class II students at SDN 116 Pekanbaru. This quasi-experimental study used a Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The number of respondents was 71 people. The data collection instrument in this study used a formative test or multiple-choice test. The results of the study showed that paper puppet learning media had an influence on the ability to listen to stories of students at SDN 116 Pekanbaru. The results of the Independent-Sample T-Test with a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.019 <0.05, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. With the use of paper puppet media, the average value of the experimental class was greater than the control class. The learning outcomes of the experimental class were better than the control class. This shows that there is an influence between the effectiveness of paper puppet media on the ability to listen to stories.

Abstract

Keberagaman yang dimiliki bangsa Indonesia menjadi kekayaan nasional berharga dan sumber konflik. Pendidikan diharapkan mampu menjadi solusi dalam pemecahan konflik keberagaman. Guru sebagai ujung tombak dalam pendidikan berperan dalam penanaman pentingnya pemahaman siswa tentang multicultural, Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan gambaran tentang persepsi guru terhadap pendidikan multikultural di Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Responden penelitian adalah 20 guru SD Santo Markus 2 Jakarta Timur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dengan skala likert. Instrumen angket yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 80% guru memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang multikulturalisme. 59% guru telah mencoba menerapkan pembelajaran multikultural di kelas. 40% menyatakan bahwa dukungan sekolah belum sepenuhnya optimal. 70% guru menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran multikultural memberi dampak positif bagi siswa. 60% guru menyatakan hambatan utama dalam implementasi pembelajaran multikultural adalah kesulitan dalam mencari bahan ajar yang relevan. Sebanyak 68% menyarankan pengintegrasian materi multikultural secara eksplisit dalam kurikulum, pentingnya kerjasama dengan pihak luar, dan perlu adanya pelatihan atau seminar khusus bagi guru tentang pembelajaran multikultural.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the addition skills of 3rd-grade students through the use of smart counting board media. The identified problem is the low learning outcomes of students in mathematics, particularly in the addition of whole numbers. This study employs classroom action research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. Planning, implementation, observation, and reflection are components of each cycle. The smart counting board media is used as a visual aid to promote active and interactive learning throughout each cycle. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' addition skills. In Cycle I, the percentage of students achieving the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC) was 60%, while in Cycle II it increased to 85%. Furthermore, students demonstrated a higher level of enthusiasm during the learning process, as evidenced by their increased participation in classroom activities. Thus, the use of smart counting board media has proven effective in enhancing the addition skills of 3rd-grade students. This study suggests that teachers should consider using interactive media when teaching mathematics to make the lessons more enjoyable and effective.

Abstract

The city of Serang faces significant challenges in realizing a Child Friendly City, even though it involves various parties, problems such as violence against children, dropping out of school, and low access to education still hinder the optimal fulfillment of children's rights. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods to evaluate Serang City Regional Regulation Policy No. 06 of 2015 concerning Children-Friendly Cities, with a focus on describing phenomena related to the fulfillment and protection of children's rights in the city. Through systematic data analysis and source triangulation, this research aims to ensure the credibility and objectivity of the findings obtained. This research shows that the Child Friendly City (KLA) program in Serang City, especially in the Education, Utilization of Free Time and Cultural Activities clusters, still faces various challenges in fulfilling children's rights, with very low participation rates for children returning to school and a lack of facilities. as well as adequate socialization. Collaborative efforts between the government and the community are needed to increase program effectiveness and ensure children's rights are optimally fulfilled.

Abstract

Moderate Islam is regarded as a middle ground between overly conservative and overly liberal attitudes. This approach highlights the importance of implementing Islamic teachings that consider humanitarian values and social harmony, such as peace, tolerance, and respect for diversity. This article aims to analyze the contributions of Nahdlatul Ulama to moderate Islamic thought in Indonesia, focusing on how the organization formulates the concept of religious moderation and its influence on social, political, and religious developments in Indonesia. The research method employed by the researcher is qualitative, using a literature study approach. The research findings indicate that Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) has a significant contribution to the development of moderate Islamic thought in Indonesia, manifested through various fields such as education, politics, social issues, and preaching. In education, NU introduces a curriculum that integrates Islamic teachings with local values, focusing on character development that reflects moderation, tolerance, and pluralism. In the political and social realms, NU plays a role in promoting stability and diversity through moderate attitudes, as well as actively engaging in public policy advocacy that supports tolerance and national unity. NU's social and preaching movements strive to build a harmonious society through economic empowerment programs, humanitarian activities, and interfaith dialogue. NU also has strategic policies to reject extremism by promoting religious moderation, enhancing public understanding, and creating constructive dialogue spaces.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning motivation of fifth-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 81 Parepare. This classroom action research (CAR) aims to understand the process of implementing the Quantum Teaching model to improve learning motivation about the economic conditions in my region for fifth-grade students, and to assess the increase in learning motivation using the Quantum Teaching model. This study uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study are teachers and 14 fifth-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 81 Parepare, consisting of 7 boys and 7 girls. The data analysis technique used is qualitative analysis. Based on the data obtained during the first cycle, teacher activity was in the "sufficient" qualification (C), student activity was in the "poor" qualification (K), and the motivation questionnaire results were in the "sufficient" qualification (C). In the second cycle, teacher activity remained in the "sufficient" qualification (C), student activity improved to the "sufficient" qualification (C), and the motivation questionnaire results were in the "good" qualification (B). In the third cycle, teacher and student activities were in the "good" qualification (B), and the motivation questionnaire results were in the "sufficient" qualification (B). The conclusion of this study is that implementing the Quantum Teaching model can improve the learning process and student motivation in the subject of economic conditions in my region for fifth-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 81 Parepare.

Abstract

This article was written based on the results of research which was motivated by children's gross motor skills not being in accordance with the characteristics that children aged 5-6 years should have. This study aims to determine the effect of the modified engklek game on children's gross motor skills at Al Azhar 32 Padang Islamic Kindergarten. The method used is an experimental method with a quantitative approach in the form of a Quasi Experiment. The population of this study were all children at Al Azhar Islamic Kindergarten 32 Padang, with a sample of class B Makkah as the experimental class and B Mina as the control class. Data analysis techniques use normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. To test the quality of the research instrument, validation was carried out with expert experts and statistical calculations. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the T test statistical technique which showed a significance level of 0.001. The results of this research were seen during the pre-test in the experimental class 240 with an average of 12.63 and in the control class 214 with an average of 11.26. Meanwhile for the post test in the experimental class there were 431 with an average of 22.68 and in the control class there were 354 with an average value of 18.63. Thus, after statistical calculations were carried out there were differences between the experimental class and the control class. Where the post test results in the experimental class were higher than the control class with a difference of 4.05.  Based on these results, it can be concluded that the modified engklek game is significant in improving the gross motor development of children aged 5-6 years at Al Azhar Islamic Kindergarten 32 Padang.

Abstract

The approach to Islamic studies is a way that seeks to make it easier for a person to know and understand Islam broadly and avoid the emergence of a superficial mindset. Islam seems to always spread its magnetic field for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to explore more deeply in its various aspects, in the study of Islam what is needed is not only a doctrinal approach, which in this case is termed by a philosophical theological approach, but also a scientific approach which according to him is divided into two, namely the historical linguistic approach and the anthropological sociological approach, The historical approach prioritizes the orientation of understanding or Interpretation of historical facts that act as a method of analysis, or knife of analysis, because history can present an overview of the elements that support the occurrence of an event, religion as the object of research must be explained its facts related to time. The psychological approach in Islam is useful for knowing and understanding how the level of religion that is understood, lived and practiced by a Muslim as well as being able to know the influence of prayer, fasting, zakat, hajj and other worships in a person's life. The philosophical approach in the study of religion seeks to find an explanation of the concept of religious teachings by examining and finding a system of reason that can be understood by humans.

Abstract

This research examines the systems approach in the context of philosophy with a focus on three main aspects: ontology, axiology, and epistemology. Ontology addresses the nature of reality and entities in systems, highlighting how interactions between elements shape the entire system. Axiology explores the values ​​underlying the systems approach, including the ethical and normative considerations that play a role in decision making. Meanwhile, epistemology examines the way knowledge is built and understood within a systemic framework, as well as its implications for research methods and the application of theory. By using a qualitative approach, this research integrates various literature and philosophical thinking to provide a comprehensive understanding of the relevance of the systems approach in contemporary philosophy. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to the development of systems theory and its application in various scientific disciplines.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of using a school website on the Mathematics learning outcomes of class XI TKJ 2 students on two-variable equations and inequalities at SMK Negeri 1 Kendit using quantitative research methods. The respondents in this study were class XI TKJ 2 students who used the school website as a learning resource. The research instrument used was a questionnaire distributed to students to measure the frequency of use of the school website and daily mathematics test scores for two-variable equations and inequalities. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression to identify the influence between the independent variable (use of the school website) and the dependent variable (Mathematics learning outcomes). The results of the research can be concluded that the simple linear regression equation obtained a constant value of 74.822. The coefficient for the independent variable (x) using the school website which is listed as active is positive, indicating that there is a unidirectional relationship or between the use of the school website (x) and learning outcomes (y). The variable regression coefficient (x) of 3.479 means that every use of the school website (x) by one unit will cause an increase in learning outcomes (y) by 3.479 and is confirmed by a significance value of 0.003 where this value is smaller than the real level (α) 0.05, this means that (Ho) is rejected and (H1) is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an influence of using the school website on the mathematics learning outcomes of Class XI TKJ students at SMK Negeri 1 Kendit.
