Abstract

Based on the Annual Record of the National Commission on Violence Against Women in 2023, it states that cases of dating violence in dating relationships top the list. Quantitative research methods are used with purposive sampling techniques, the research sample consists of 295 young adult respondents (aged 20-30 years) who have experienced dating violence. The research tool used the Multidimensional Jealousy Scale (MJS) to estimate the level of jealousy and the Self Control Scale (SCS) to assess self-control. The use of the Spearman correlation test was chosen because the data were not normally distributed based on the results of the normality test. The results showed that there was a negative and significant relationship between jealousy and self-control (rho = -0.186, p < 0.05). This shows that the higher the level of jealousy, the lower the level of self-control in dating violence perpetrators. The analysis used the Spearman correlation test because the normality test showed that the data were not normally distributed. The results showed a negative and significant relationship between jealousy and self-control.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the deeply entrenched patriarchal culture in Indonesia serves as a primary cause of various gender injustice issues. Concrete examples of the impact of this culture include discrimination, violence, and stereotypes faced by women. However, the emergence of the Women's March in the United States in 2017 provided women with a platform to voice their dissatisfaction regarding the numerous forms of oppression they experience. The Women's March was first held in Indonesia in March 2017. This research utilizes a qualitative approach with a descriptive model and applies Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis theory. Fairclough divides discourse analysis into three dimensions: text analysis, discourse practice analysis, and socio-cultural practice analysis. The purpose of this study is to explore the texts, discourse practices, and socio-cultural practices related to gender equality discussed on the Women's March Indonesia Instagram account in 2023. The findings indicate that in producing its texts, Women's March Indonesia collaborates with various organizations and groups focused on women's issues and other communities. From the perspective of discourse practice, the captions in these posts are shaped by existing realities, considering that gender-based discrimination still occurs in Indonesia today.

Abstract

Religious identity refers to an individual's understanding and acknowledgment of the religion they adhere to, which includes beliefs, practices, values, and symbols associated with that religion. Religious identity reflects how individuals recognize themselves within a religious context, both in relation to God, others, and the world around them. This study aims to describe the process of religious identity exploration among young adults in late adolescence with parents from different religious backgrounds. Using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, this research involved six participants aged 18 to 22 from families with religious differences. Data collection was conducted through interviews and observations. The findings show that the process of religious identity formation in adolescents occurs in two main phases: exploration and commitment. In the exploration phase, adolescents seek knowledge and information about religion through reading, discussing, and participating in seminars, which is influenced by interactions with family and social environments, particularly in participants B, C, and E. The commitment phase is characterized by making decisions about the religion they will follow, supported by involvement in religious activities, emotional support, and identification with significant figures, as seen in participants A, D, and F. Open communication with parents plays a significant role in supporting religious exploration and commitment, while conflicts with parents can lead to anxiety that hinders the commitment process. This study provides an overview of the dynamics of religious identity exploration among adolescents growing up in families with religious differences.

Abstract

The lack of student responsibility for their learning responsibilities is caused by factors that exist in students, namely the lack of student confidence in the abilities they have and the lack of student ability to regulate or control the emotions that exist in students during learning, especially in science subjects. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a positive and significant relationship of student efficacy and self-regulation on the learning responsibilities of grade IV students in science subjects. The method used is a quantitative research method using a correlation approach to analyze the relationship between variables. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and regression analysis using SPSS software. The sample of this study consisted of 62 students in grade IV of SD Negeri Surjo 01 and SD Negeri Surjo 02. The results of this study include: 1. The relationship between Self-Efficacy and Student Learning Responsibility obtained a result of 0.615 p < 0.001 or 61.5% and was in the positive and significant category, 2. The relationship between Self-Regulation and Student Learning Responsibility obtained a result of 0.623 p < 0.001 or 62.3% and was in the positive and significant category, 3. The relationship between Efficacy and Self-Regulation and Student Learning Responsibility together obtained an R Square Change result of 0.583 or 58.3% and was in the positive and significant category. Thus, these findings show that both self-efficacy and self-regulation or self-efficacy and self-regulation together have a positive and significant relationship in each variable.
