Abstract

Improving Student Learning Outcomes Through Problem Based Learning With Mystery Box Media On Fraction Material Of Grade IV SDN Keseneng. This study aims to: 1) Describe the application of the Problem Based Learning model with mystery box media on fraction material in improving the learning outcomes of grade IV students of SDN Keseneng, 2) Describe the improvement of student learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning model with mystery box media on fraction material of grade IV SDN Keseneng. The study was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique used qualitative analysis techniques and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Problem Based Learning model with mystery box media can improve student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by data through the learning implementation sheet in cycle I 79%, cycle II increased to 95% with a success indicator of 80% so it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning model with mystery box media can affect student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the average pre-cycle score of 60.42, which increased to 63.75 in cycle I, and 77.08 in cycle II. This demonstrates that the application of the Problem-Based Learning model with the mystery box can improve student learning outcomes in fractions.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the researcher once carried out the campus teaching program at SDN Pucangrejo, Kendal Regency. The researcher observed that the reading ability of students at SDN Pucangrejo, Kendal Regency was relatively low. Even some children who had already reached higher grades were still unable to read. This condition became the reason for the researcher to study reading difficulties, starting from the lower grades, because early reading is the foundation for further learning. It is expected that students will later be able to understand the subject matter more easily in the next grade. The focus of this study is the initial reading difficulties experienced by first-grade students of SDN Pucangrejo, Kendal Regency, with the purpose of analyzing various obstacles in early reading faced by these students. The type of research used is qualitative research, with research subjects consisting of first-grade students of SDN Pucangrejo, the first-grade teacher, and the school principal. Data collection techniques include observation, reading tests, peer questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the data analysis described indicate that the early reading difficulties among first-grade students of SDN Pucangrejo include inability to recognize letters, inability to read syllables or words, inability to read words correctly, inability to arrange letters into words, and inability to understand the meaning of the text. Based on these findings, the suggestions that can be given are: teachers are expected to provide more specific attention to students who are still unable to read, and students should develop the habit of practicing reading at home.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Implementasi Pendekatan Psikoedukasi dalam mencegah tindakan Bullying di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 2 Kembang Sari, Kecamatan Selong, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Fokus penelitian meliputi: (1) implementasi Pendekatan Psikoedukasi oleh guru, (2) hambatan yang dihadapi guru dalam pengimplementasiannya, dan (3) keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan psikoedukasi yang diarahkan untuk mencegah bullying. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, dengan subjek penelitian yaitu guru kelas IV, V, dan VI serta siswa dari masing-masing kelas tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan Psikoedukasi telah diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran melalui metode diskusi kelompok, permainan peran, dan kampanye anti-bullying. Guru secara aktif menyampaikan materi terkait bullying melalui integrasi ke dalam mata pelajaran seperti PPKn dan Bahasa Indonesia. Hambatan yang dialami guru antara lain kurangnya alokasi waktu, keterbatasan fasilitas pendukung, serta belum tersedianya guru Bimbingan Konseling (BK). Meskipun demikian, siswa menunjukkan keterlibatan yang positif dan antusias dalam kegiatan psikoedukatif, serta menunjukkan perubahan perilaku ke arah yang lebih baik dalam berinteraksi sosial di sekolah. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan Psikoedukasi berkontribusi signifikan dalam membentuk kesadaran siswa tentang bahaya bullying dan membangun budaya saling menghargai di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the ethnoscience-based inquiry learning model on elementary school students' understanding of science concepts in the topic of Harmony in Ecosystems (Eating and Being Eaten). The study was conducted in fifth-grade students at SDN Kadipaten VIII Majalengka using a quasi-experimental method and a Nonequivalent Control Group design. Subjects were divided into two groups: the experimental class, which received instruction using the ethnoscience-based inquiry model, and the control class, which received instruction using the Direct Instruction model. The research instrument was a conceptual understanding test administered before and after the learning process. Data were analyzed using the Normality test, Homogenity test, Independent Samples t-Test and N-Gain calculation to determine differences in outcomes and improvements between the two groups. The results showed that the initial abilities of both classes were relatively equal, but after the treatment, there were significant differences in learning outcomes and improvements in conceptual understanding, with the experimental class showing higher results. The ethnoscience-based inquiry model has been proven to encourage students to actively observe, ask questions, conduct simple investigations, and relate learning materials to local phenomena and culture, making learning more meaningful, engaging, and effective in improving students' understanding of science concepts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the influence of interactive learning videos on learning outcomes at Makale Christian High School. Based on the initial observations made and the results of interviews with teachers of Informatics subjects, it was revealed that the learning outcomes of grade XI students still needed to be improved, because there were still some students who obtained scores below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) of 70, according to the standards set by the school, in the mid-semester exam. This low learning outcome is often caused by the choice of inappropriate learning media by the teacher, so that students are less enthusiastic in participating in learning and do not give full attention to the teacher who is teaching. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental approach. The population in the study is all students of Makale Christian High School in class XI which totals 205 students consisting of six classes, namely classes XI.A-F. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques use observation, pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique uses validity and reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. The findings of the study showed that in the experimental class with an average pretest score of 51.83, there was an increase to 73.33 in the posttest, with a Sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.00 less than 0.05. Thus, it can be said that interactive learning videos have an influence on student learning outcomes in grade XI of Informatics at Makale Christian High School.

Abstract

Low conceptual understanding in geometry, particularly in recognizing and classifying two-dimensional shapes, remains a challenge for many elementary school students. Traditional instructional methods often lack interactive elements that stimulate active learning, thereby limiting students’ engagement and retention. This study aims to develop and validate a two-dimensional shape puzzle learning media as an innovative approach to strengthen concept mastery. Using the ADDIE development model comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation the research involved a purposive sample of 30 second-grade students from SD Negeri 07 Purwoharjo. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. Validation results from material and media experts indicated a “very feasible” category, with high scores in both content accuracy and visual appeal. Classroom implementation demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ understanding, reflected in higher post-test scores compared to pre-test results, and N-Gain values ranging from medium to high. These findings highlight the effectiveness of puzzle-based learning media in fostering engagement, supporting active exploration, and enhancing conceptual comprehension in elementary geometry education.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menilai sejauh mana penerapan gabungan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Numbered Heads Together (NHT), dan Make a Match (MM) dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran matematika di kelas IV SDN Tanjung Pagar 3 Banjarmasin. Sebanyak 27 siswa kelas IV menjadi subjek penelitian. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi pada setiap siklus. Hasil penelitian pada akhir siklus kedua memperlihatkan peningkatan pada seluruh indikator pembelajaran, yaitu aktivitas guru, aktivitas belajar siswa, keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta hasil belajar yang masuk kategori Baik dan Sangat Baik. Oleh sebab itu, kombinasi penerapan CTL, NHT, dan MM bisa dijadikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk mendukung pembelajaran matematika di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has driven educational transformation, one of which is through the utilization of chromebooks as a learning medium. This device has started to be actively used in elementary schools to support the learning process. This study aims to analyze students' interest in learning based on external factors through the use of chromebooks in learning Natural Sciences and Social Sciences (IPAS) in class V SDN Tanjung Jati 2 Bangkalan. This study is a descriptive qualitative research with 12 students as subjects, and three students were selected as main subjects through purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques consisted of observation, open questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews, with validity testing through source triangulation. Analysis was conducted based on four indicators of learning interest, namely feelings of pleasure, interest, attention, and involvement. The results showed that the use of Chromebooks provided a positive stimulus to students' interest in learning. Students showed expressions of pleasure, increased focus, and interest in learning media. However, interest in IPAS content was still low, attention depended on the teacher's strategy, and student involvement was predominantly individual rather than collaborative. This study concludes that students' interest in learning can be fostered through external stimuli such as Chromebooks. However, its effectiveness highly depends on how teachers manage methods, create supportive classroom interactions, and present material in an interesting, meaningful, and relevant way to students' needs and characteristics.

Abstract

This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. Data collection involved interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Testing of the Android-based educational game learning media was conducted using the Blackbox Testing method and expert validation, converted using a Likert Scale. The results showed that the Android-based educational game learning media met the criteria of being very feasible according to media experts with a feasibility level of 89.33%. The validation by material experts with a feasibility level of 90.6%, with the criteria of being very feasible. The assessment by educators resulted in a percentage of 92.44%, with the criteria of being very feasible. Therefore, the educational game learning media is suitable for use as an alternative learning medium and entertainment tool for independent learning anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the fact that students' learning outcomes in this topic are still relatively low. This is caused by the teaching method still being conventional, such as lecturing, without the support of media that can concretely and interactively visualize biological processes. As a result, students face difficulties in understanding abstract concepts such as the mechanism of gas diffusion in the alveoli, as well as the structure and function of the human respiratory organs.This study employs a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research type and a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research sample consisted of eighth-grade students selected using purposive sampling techniques. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 25 items, administered twice—before (pretest) and after (posttest) the implementation of learning using interactive multimedia. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics to observe the differences in student learning outcomes before and after the treatment.The results of the study indicated a significant increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores. This suggests that the use of interactive multimedia is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes on the topic of the human respiratory system. Interactive multimedia is considered capable of presenting material in a more engaging, visual, and communicative manner, allowing students to more easily grasp complex and unseen concepts. In addition, this media also enhances students’ motivation, active involvement, and independence during the learning process. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia is an effective learning tool to improve student outcomes, especially in science subjects that require conceptual understanding and visualization of biological processes. Therefore, it is highly recommended that interactive multimedia be integrated into the learning process at schools to improve overall education quality.
