Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using project-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on the improvement of critical thinking skills among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Way Galih in the Civic Education learning process. The background of this research was based on the low critical thinking abilities of the students, as evidenced by the average pretest scores of 51.61% for class IV A and 46.31% for class IV B. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The instrument used was a critical thinking test based on Ennis's indicators. The analysis results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental group, with an average pretest score of 19.88 and a posttest score of 35.42. Meanwhile, in the control group, the average pretest score was 23.13 and the posttest score was 30.04. These findings demonstrated that the use of project-based LKPD was effective in enhancing the critical thinking skills of elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi yang ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata nilai Sumatif Akhir Semester yang masih berada di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), serta berbagai permasalahan lain seperti kebiasaan belajar yang kurang efektif, kepercayaan diri yang rendah, kecerdasan emosional yang belum optimal, keterbatasan fasilitas belajar, dan minimnya perhatian orang tua dalam mendukung proses belajar anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya belajar, kepercayaan diri, kecerdasan emosional, fasilitas belajar, dan perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi di SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS dengan jumlah sampel 120 orang yang dipilih melalui teknik Proportional Random Sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket tertutup yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya belajar dan fasilitas belajar tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar, kepercayaan diri berpengaruh signifikan dengan arah negatif, kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, perhatian orang tua berpengaruh signifikan dengan arah negatif, serta secara simultan kelima variabel tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar dengan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,338. Artinya, 34% variasi prestasi belajar siswa dapat dijelaskan oleh kelima faktor tersebut, sedangkan 66% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini.

Abstract

Novita Yulia Nengsih, “The Relationship between Social Support and the Adjustment of Broken Home Students at SMK Negeri 4 Padang, Even Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year”, Undergraduate Thesis, Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Putra Indonesia University "YPTK" Padang. His study aims to determine the relationship between social support and the adjustment of broken home students at SMK Negeri 4 Padang during the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The research employed a quantitative approach with a simple random sampling technique. The sample consisted of 60 students from a total population of 207 students. The instruments used for data analysis were SPSS 24 and Microsoft Excel 2016. Based on the research findings, the calculated t-value was greater than the t-table value, namely 0.218 > 0.254 with a significance level of α = 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis was accepted, indicating a significant relationship between social support and the adjustment of broken home students in grade 11 at SMK Negeri 4 Padang. The coefficient of determination showed that social support contributed 4% to students' adjustment. This suggests that students who receive high levels of social support tend to be better at managing their personal adjustment.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Augmented Reality (AR) learning media in Pancasila Education Subjects Class V Elementary School. This type of research is research and development with the procedure for the development stages using a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The results of the analysis of the validation of the assessment of material experts, media experts and linguists obtained an average product feasibility score of 96.66% in the very good category. In the one to one trial (3 users) got a score of 93.00% in the very good category. The small group trial (4 users) got a score of 94.00% with the very good category. And the field test (27 users) got a score of 94.00% with the very good category. The results of the product trial analysis data obtained an average feasibility score of 93.66% with the very good category. So that this Augmented Reality learning media video is suitable for use by students in learning, especially in the Pancasila Education subject class V Elementary School.

Abstract

The swift evolution of digital technologies has significantly transformed educational landscapes, offering new avenues for developing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials that are not only interactive and adaptive but also aligned with the competencies required by 21st-century learners. Among the emerging innovations is the integration of Learning Management Systems (LMS), which serve as dynamic platforms for combining digital literacy with the cultivation of spiritual values. This study focuses on designing and evaluating LMS-based interactive PAI learning materials aimed at enhancing students’ engagement, comprehension of Islamic teachings, and digital competencies. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology through the ADDIE framework—comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation—data were gathered via interviews, observations, questionnaires, and document analysis. The results demonstrate that the developed materials significantly improved student participation, mastery of Islamic content, and digital literacy. Moreover, spiritual values were effectively embedded through multimedia content, interactive exercises, and project-based assessments. Notable challenges include limited access to digital infrastructure and the need for professional development among educators in managing LMS platforms. The study concludes that LMS-based PAI materials present a promising pedagogical innovation, capable of bridging technological advancement with the spiritual formation of learners.

Abstract

The purpose of this study (1) to determine the planning of improving teacher performance through coaching model supervision with the TIRTA flow. (2) to determine the implementation of improving teacher performance through coaching model supervision with the TIRTA flow. (3) to determine the evaluation of improving teacher performance through coaching model supervision with the TIRTA Flow at SDN Bringin 02 Semarang City. This study uses a qualitative approach. This type of research is a case study. The qualitative research design goes through three stages, namely: orientation, exploration focus, and data analysis. Data collection techniques are interviews, observations and documentation. This study uses source triangulation. Data analysis with three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research results (1) planning is done by forming a team responsible for improving teacher performance. Then the principal determines the teacher performance improvement program based on the results of the teacher performance evaluation and conducts program socialization. (2) Implementation is done by providing direction and motivation to all teachers. In the implementation, the principal carries out three activities, namely pre-observation, observation and post-observation which show that teachers are more reflective, collaboration between teachers increases. There is an increase in enthusiasm in participating in self-development. Teachers are more open and no longer awkward in conveying shortcomings. Teachers feel an increase in pedagogical skills, becoming more creative and innovative. (3) Evaluation is carried out by conveying the evaluation results openly, providing appreciation. The principal uses the evaluation results to prepare the next coaching program. The principal facilitates sharing sessions, gives awards or recognition to teachers. The conclusion of improving teacher performance through coaching model supervision with the TIRTA flow is good by going through three steps of activity, namely planning, implementation and evaluation

Abstract

Based on the results of the conducted research, it can be concluded that the use of fable-based hand puppet media has proven effective in improving the speaking skills of elementary school students, particularly fifth-grade students at SDN Inpres Yotefa, Jayapura City. This is evidenced by an increase in the average speaking skill score from 63.2 (pretest) to 81.6 (posttest), as well as the paired t-test results showing a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Improvement occurred across all assessment aspects, namely fluency, vocabulary, and expression with intonation. The use of hand puppets created an engaging learning environment, enhanced students’ confidence, and encouraged them to express ideas orally more freely in a creative setting. The fable stories used as learning content also contributed to enriching students’ vocabulary and familiarizing them with constructing oral narratives with a clear structure. Thus, hand puppet media serves not only as a visual aid but also as a pedagogical tool capable of fostering active and meaningful learning in the development of elementary school students’ speaking skills.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low student learning outcomes caused by conventional learning, which tends to be monotonous and teacher-centered. This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental research type and a pretest-posttest control group design. The study sample consisted of two groups: an experimental group treated with experimental learning, and a control group treated with conventional learning methods. Data analysis used normality and homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests due to the non-normal distribution of the data. The results of this study indicate that there is a difference in cognitive ability improvement between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group using the experimental learning method obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.587 (moderate category), while the control group obtained an average score of 0.389 (moderate category). The results obtained were greater in the experimental group, indicating that the experimental method was more effective than conventional learning in improving students' cognitive abilities.

Abstract

Early reading instruction in elementary schools still uses conventional methods that tend to be monotonous, making them less effective in increasing student motivation and engagement. This study aims to develop game-based early reading instructional materials that are engaging, interactive, and appropriate to the characteristics of elementary school students. The study employed the Design and Development (D&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects were first and second grade elementary school students, with the instructional materials divided into letter level for first grade and word level for second grade. The validation results from material experts obtained a final percentage of 87.5%, categorized as very feasible, while the validation results from media experts obtained a final percentage of 95%, categorized as very feasible. The implementation showed positive student responses with a percentage of more than 90% in the very good category, and teacher responses were also in the very good category in all assessment aspects. The evaluation resulted in minor revisions to instructions, vocabulary, layout, and color, making the media more communicative and engaging. Thus, the game-based early reading instructional materials are declared feasible and effective for use in learning, and can be an alternative innovation for basic literacy media in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive multimedia application-based learning media MEGADIK (Classifying Forces Around Us) to improve the understanding of fourth-grade elementary school students on the material of force classification in science subjects. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 41 fourth-grade students, a class teacher, and two validators, material experts and media experts. The research instruments included a validation questionnaire, student response questionnaire, interviews, and pretest and posttest tests. The results of the media expert validation showed a feasibility percentage of 96% (very feasible category), while the material expert validation obtained 95% (appropriate material category). The effectiveness test through N-gain analysis produced an average score of 0.60 (moderate category) or 60.25% (quite effective) with an average increase in value from 52.59 (pretest) to 81.15 (posttest). Student responses to the application showed a very good category in all aspects, with the highest score in ease of use of 92.93%. These findings demonstrate that MEGADIK can concretely visualize abstract concepts, increase motivation, and encourage active student engagement. This application is recommended as an alternative learning medium for science instruction in elementary schools.
