Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital yang pesat di era globalisasi menuntut pengembangan aplikasi yang tidak hanya fungsional tetapi juga memiliki desain antarmuka pengguna (UI/UX) yang praktis dan menarik untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai metodologi desain UI/UX melalui pendekatan tinjauan pustaka sistematis (SLR). Penelitian ini menganalisis 40 artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2021 dan 2025 dan diperoleh dari beberapa basis data terindeks seperti Google Scholar, Garuda, SemanticScholar, dan AcademiaEdu. Pemilihan didasarkan pada kriteria inklusi seperti relevansi topik, akses terbuka, dan kualitas publikasi. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi metode, platform, alat, dan pendekatan penelitian desain UI/UX yang populer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode yang paling banyak digunakan adalah design thinking, dengan alat Figma, platform dominan adalah aplikasi seluler, dan pendekatan penelitian yang paling umum adalah kualitatif. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji elemen desain visual seperti pemilihan warna (color palette) yang sering digunakan sebagai referensi. Studi ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan pemahaman dan mendorong kemajuan dalam praktik desain UI/UX, memfasilitasi pemanfaatan data dan proses pengambilan keputusan yang lebih efisien.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a children’s magazine-based teaching material for the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject with the theme “The Secrets of Our Body” to improve science literacy among fifth-grade students at SDN Pasirsari 01. The development model used was ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate), with one fifth-grade class as the research subject. Data collection instruments included observation, interviews, questionnaires, as well as pretest and posttest science literacy assessments. Validation results from subject matter experts, media experts, and the class teacher indicated that the product was in the “Highly Feasible” category for use in learning. Classroom implementation showed positive responses from both teachers and students, with students displaying greater enthusiasm, active participation in discussions, and engagement in learning activities. Science literacy test results indicated a significant increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores, with an N-gain improvement category of moderate/high. This study concludes that a children’s magazine can serve as an effective, engaging, and contextual alternative teaching material to enhance science literacy among elementary school students. Abstract

Local Area Networks (LANs) play a crucial role in supporting learning activities at SMK Negeri 6 Padang, but they often experience disruptions due to hardware failures, configuration errors, and external factors. To address these issues, this study designed a web-based expert system using the backward chaining method to accelerate and improve the accuracy of the fault diagnosis process. The system was developed using the waterfall SDLC model, supported by the Laravel framework, Bootstrap, and the MySQL database. Testing was conducted through black-box testing and feasibility assessments by experts and users. The results showed that the system was able to detect various LAN faults with a validity rate of 97.78% and a practicality rate of 96.11%. Therefore, this expert system can be used as an effective tool to assist technicians and students in network troubleshooting.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the learning outcomes of students in the subject of Natural Sciences before and after the use of learning media based on the Powtoon application and the influence of using learning media based on the Powtoon application on student learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of pre-experimental research using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study comprises all students of grade VI at SDN 1 Kertayasa, totaling 17 students. The sampling technique in this study used saturated sampling. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, documentation, and tests. The data analysis techniques used in this study included initial stages such as validity testing, reliability testing, and final stages such as normality testing and hypothesis testing. The research results show that (1) Students' learning outcomes on the solar system material in class VI SDN 1 Kertayasa before using the powtoon application-based learning media were still low with an average score of 49.71. (2) Students' learning outcomes on the solar system material in class VI SDN 1 Kertayasa after using the powtoon application-based learning media were better with an average score of 86.76. (3) There is an effect of powtoon application-based learning media on the science learning outcomes on the solar system material in class VI SDN 1 Kertayasa of 72.37%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of generative AI such as ChatGPT on academic ethics and learning interest among high school students in Padang City. The use of AI in education is increasing, but there are concerns about its impact on academic integrity and student motivation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 150 students from five high schools in Padang City. The results show that ChatGPT usage is high with a score of 4.12, learning interest is also high with a score of 4.01, but academic ethics is only moderate with a score of 3.45. This indicates that while ChatGPT aids in understanding course material, it also poses challenges in maintaining academic integrity. This study offers an ethical framework for the use of AI in school environments to optimize benefits and minimize negative impacts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar teks deskripsi berbasis multimodal yang terintegrasi dengan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Teks multimodal yang menggabungkan bahasa dan cara komunikasi lainnya seperti visual, bunyi, atau lisan untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan kontekstual guna mendukung keterampilan menulis siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Reseach and Development oleh Borg dan Gall melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan prototipe, validasi ahli, uji coba terbatas, dan revisi produk. Data dikumpulkan dari dua sekolah melalui angket, wawancara, observasi, dan lembar validasi yang melibatkan siswa serta guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penilaian ini adalah validasi pakar ahli yang menunjukkan presentase mencapai 91,72% masuk dalam kategori layak diujicobakan. Setelah divalidasi bahan ajar diujicobakan di dua sekolah dan mendapatkan penilaian guru bahasa Indonesia dengan hasil kelayakan penyajian bahan ajar 92.73%, sedangkan dari segi penerapan aspek teks deskripsi mendapat nilai 93.33% masuk kategori sangat layak. Nilai menulis teks deskripsi menggunakan model PjBL di dua sekolah terdapat 44 siswa di atas nilai KKM, 75 dari jumlah 55 siswa atau 80% siswa sudah tuntas dalam kompetensi menulis teks deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi elemen multimodal dengan model PjBL dapat meningkatkan efektivitas bahan ajar dalam mengembangkan kemampuan siswa untuk menulis teks deskripsi. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik, kontekstual, dan interaktif, sekaligus mengatasi masalah sebelumnya seperti variasi media yang terbatas dan kurangnya keinginan siswa untuk belajar. Oleh karena itu, produk yang dikembangkan dianggap layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran teks deskripsi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Realistic Mathematics Approach (RMA) on the problem-solving ability of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Suwatu on the material of measuring and comparing angles. The One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design with the Pre-experimental method was used. The pretest results showed that the average student score was 58.65 (not yet completed the KKM 75), while the posttest showed a significant increase with an average of 85.57 (completed the KKM). The Paired Sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The average N-Gain score of 0.659 (moderate category) and a percentage of 65.90% (quite effective) strengthen that RMA positively influences students' problem-solving abilities. The use of wall clock media and the association of concepts with everyday life have been shown to increase students' enthusiasm and understanding.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving ability of high school students. The purpose of this research was to determine the differences in mathematical problem-solving ability between students who received instruction through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach and those who experienced conventional learning in Grade XII Phase F of SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping, Pasaman Regency. The research employed an experimental method with a Control Group Posttest Only design. The population consisted of all Grade XII Phase F students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Samples were selected using random sampling, resulting in Grade XII F 8 as the experimental class and Grade XII F 7 as the control class. The research instrument was a problem-solving test in essay form, based on Polya’s problem-solving steps, which had been validated and showed a reliability coefficient of 0.855. Data analysis was carried out using a one-tailed t-test at a 5% significance level. The results indicated that the mathematical problem-solving ability of students taught with the RME approach was significantly higher than that of students taught through conventional learning. This finding suggests that RME provides contextual learning experiences, encourages active participation, and fosters critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills in solving mathematical problems. Therefore, RME can be recommended as an alternative instructional strategy to enhance the quality of mathematics teaching and learning in secondary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the socio-economic life of salted fish processors in Nagari Air Bangis, Pasaman Barat Regency, during the period 2014–2024. The aim is to describe the social dynamics of coastal communities and analyze the contribution of salted fish processing to household welfare. The research employed the historical method, consisting of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Data were collected from documents, archives, literature, and interviews with salted fish business owners and workers. The findings indicate that salted fish processing plays a central role in fostering solidarity, cooperation, and strong social bonds within the community. The production process involves all family members, including women and youth, thereby strengthening kinship ties and enhancing household economic empowerment. From an economic perspective, the activity provides income to cover basic needs, children’s education, and improvements in quality of life, although earnings remain vulnerable to weather conditions and fluctuating prices. Furthermore, the transition from small household-based activities to organized production units has expanded marketing networks to interregional markets, increasing income and supporting local economic development.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of applying the Discovery Learning model on students’ news writing skills in Grade VII Phase D at SMP Negeri 33 Padang. The problem addressed was students’ limited creativity and difficulties in understanding news structure, mastering the 5W+1H elements, and presenting information clearly and coherently. A quantitative approach with a one group pretest-posttest experimental design was employed. The sample consisted of class VII.5 students selected through purposive sampling, and data were obtained from writing performance tests administered before and after the treatment. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ writing skills after using the Discovery Learning model. The average pretest score was 64.44 (fair), which increased to 81.11 (good) in the posttest. Enhancements were observed in all aspects of news writing, including titles, leads, body, and conclusions. Statistical analysis confirmed that tcount exceeded ttable at a 95% significance level, proving the positive impact of Discovery Learning on students’ writing performance. In conclusion, this model effectively fosters active participation, creativity, and the ability to structure news information systematically and communicatively.
