Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by flipbook media on students’ conceptual understanding in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 07 Palembang. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design, involving class VA as the experimental group and class VB as the control group. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test using multiple-choice instruments that had been validated for validity and reliability. The experimental class was taught using the CTL model with flipbook media, while the control class received conventional learning through lectures and simple discussions. The results showed that the CTL model assisted by flipbook media had a significant effect on students’ conceptual understanding. The independent sample t-test indicated a significance value of 0.030 (< 0.05), meaning that there was a significant difference in the post-test scores between the two groups. The average post-test score of the experimental class was 94.55, while the control class only reached 60.73. Furthermore, the analysis of conceptual understanding indicators revealed that the experimental class experienced higher and more evenly distributed improvements, with some indicators achieving perfect scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the CTL learning model assisted by flipbook media is effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding in IPAS, especially on the topic of electrical energy

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 001 Binamang dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Yurisprudential Inquiry. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 16 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan. Pada siklus I, ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat dari 43,75% menjadi 56,25%. Pada siklus II, meningkat lagi dari 75% menjadi 87,5%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran Yurisprudential Inquiry efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila.

Abstract

Reading is a fundamental skill that plays an important role in the learning process. Through reading, individuals can gather information, acquire knowledge, and gain new experiences. Early learning for students in lower grades of elementary school begins with early reading activities. Early reading is the initial stage for students in the process of recognizing letters, combining letters into words, arranging words into sentences, and understanding the meaning of those words. The purpose of this study is to describe early reading skills using the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method in first grade at SDN 1 Trenceng Tulungagung. This is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. Data collection in this study used observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The research results obtained the lowest average data: 1) the sentence reading indicator scored an average of 3.15 with a final score of 63, 2) the word reading indicator showed an average of 3.65 with a score of 73, 3) the syllable reading indicator had an average of 4 with a score of 80, 4) the letter reading indicator achieved the highest result, with an average of 4.3 and a score of 86. All four indicators achieved an average score of 75,5, indicating that the initial reading ability using the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method meets the “high” criteria and is considered good. Although it is considered good, the level of initial reading ability varies among students, so further improvements and enhancements are still needed in initial reading activities, particularly for lower-grade students.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 005 Samarinda Seberang, particularly in Mathematics. The research problem addressed in this study is how to improve students’ learning outcomes in Mathematics by using the Cooperative Learning Model of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by the traditional game Cublak-Cublak Suweng as a learning medium in the fifth grade of SD Negeri 005 Samarinda Seberang. The purpose of this study is to determine how students’ Mathematics learning outcomes can be improved through the Cooperative Learning Model of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by the traditional game Cublak-Cublak Suweng as a learning medium. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The research procedure consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 25 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 005 Samarinda Seberang, while the object of the study was to examine Mathematics learning outcomes and improvements in each cycle using the Cooperative Learning Model of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used averages, percentages, and graphs. The results of the study show that the average learning outcome in the initial data was 51.2, with 40% of students achieving mastery. In Cycle I, the average score increased to 61.80, with an improvement percentage of 20.70% and 64% of students achieving mastery. In Cycle II, the average score increased to 72, with an overall improvement of 41.18% from the initial data and 84% of students achieving mastery. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that Mathematics learning outcomes improved through the Cooperative Learning Model of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by the traditional game Cublak-Cublak Suweng as a learning medium in the fifth grade of SD Negeri 005 Samarinda Seberang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Arabic language textbook Semangat Mendalami Bahasa Arab for MTs Grade VII Volume 1 (Erlangga, 2023) in supporting the comprehension of seventh-grade students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta Ma’had Al-Zaytun in the 2024/2025 academic year. The textbook's role is examined in terms of its contribution to students' understanding of language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing), influenced by factors such as comprehensible input and multimodal elements. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the textbook significantly impacts students’ comprehension and motivation. Strengths include thematic content and illustrations, while weaknesses like unvocalized texts hinder independent learning. Teachers' adaptations (e.g., read-translate strategies) bridge gaps, aligning with the Merdeka Curriculum. The study recommends textbook revisions and teacher training to enhance accessibility and effectiveness. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of developing Bamboozle web-based interactive media on improving learning outcomes in large number material in mathematics lessons for fourth grade elementary school students. This study used the research and development (R&D) method. The research design used an experiment with a quasi-experimental approach. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of the development of web-based interactive media using Bamboozle on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students in the subject of large whole numbers in mathematics.

Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ low spatial ability in learning geometry, especially on polyhedra topics, and the continued use of conventional modules that lack interactive and engaging features. To address these issues, this study aims to develop a STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) mathematics e-module to improve students’ spatial ability. The research employed the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) with a descriptive approach. The subjects were tenth-grade students at SMAS Al Washliyah Pasar Senen Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year. Expert validation results showed that the developed e-module was highly valid, with an average score of 84.25%. The practicality level was high, as rated by teachers and students, with a score of 77.3% (practical category). Regarding effectiveness, classical mastery reached 88.1%, and students’ average spatial ability scores increased from 90.5 (small group trial) to 91.25 (field trial). The e-module effectively supported students’ understanding of spatial concepts through interactive and contextual digital learning.This study concludes that the STEM-based mathematics e-module developed is valid, practical, and effective for enhancing students’ spatial abilities. The product serves as a promising digital learning resource for 21st-century mathematics education.

Abstract

Collaboration skills are a must-have to be able to work together effectively. These collaboration skills are important to develop early on to prepare for the world of work and education. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the collaboration skills of gotong royong material in the community environment of class IV SDN 1 Trenceng Tulungagung. Using descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the average indicator of actively contributing was 2.9 with a percentage of 73%, working productively was 2.9 with a percentage of 73%, being flexible and compromising 3.2 with a percentage of 81.9%, managing projects well 3 with a percentage of 76.3%, respecting fellow members 2.8 with a percentage of 72%, and being responsible 3.2 with a percentage of 81.9%. It is concluded that the collaboration skills of students on the material of mutual cooperation in the community environment of class IV SDN 1 Trenceng are included in the high predicate.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of dzikir (remembrance of Allah) and shalawat (blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad) on a person's mindset, focusing on their effects as spiritual therapies and their influence on productive thinking. Through an Islamic philosophical and psychological perspective, it discusses how these practices contribute to inner peace, mental clarity, and improved cognitive functioning. Dzikir is identified as a tool for spiritual purification that enhances focus, reduces anxiety, and leads to a more positive mental state. It also facilitates access to deeper knowledge (ma'rifah) and helps reconcile the rational mind with the heart. The philosophical view highlights dzikir as an epistemological means to attain higher truths beyond the physical realm, serving as a bridge to divine wisdom. In conclusion, dzikir and shalawat promote both psychological well-being and intellectual growth by nurturing a calm, reflective mindset, leading to enhanced productivity in both personal and academic life.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes of students, and educators have not implemented the Team games tournament (TGT) model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Team games tournament (TGT) model assisted by flipchart media on mathematics learning outcomes of grade IV of Elementary School 2 Karang Sari. This type of research uses quantitative research with a quasi-experimental method and a research design using a pretest posttest control group design. The research sample was students in grade IV of Elementary School 2 Karang Sari with a total of 19 students. The research sampling technique used a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used a simple linear regression test, obtained F count of 1998.329> Ftable 4.45 with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the study are that there is an influence of the Team games tournament (TGT) model assisted by flipchart media on the learning outcomes of mathematics in grade IV of SD Negeri 2 Karang Sari.
