Abstract

Learning in elementary schools required creative and innovative strategies to helpstudents understand concepts concretely and meaningfully. One methodconsidered effective was storytelling, especially when combined with visual aidsthat were engaging and relevant to the learning material. This study aimed todetermine the effect of using the storytelling method assisted by visual aids on thelearning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MIN 10 Bandar Lampung. Theresearch employed an experimental approach with a quasi-experimental designusing the nonequivalent control group design. The subjects consisted of twoclasses: an experimental class (35 students) that used the storytelling methodassisted by visual aids and a control class (34 students) that applied the ProjectBased Learning (PjBL) method. Learning outcome data were collected throughtests and analyzed using the independent sample t-test with the help of SPSSsoftware. The results of the analysis showed that the Sig. (2-tailed) value was0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the learning outcomes ofthe experimental and control classes. Therefore, the storytelling method assistedby visual aids was proven to be more effective in improving students’ learningoutcomes than the PjBL method. These findings confirmed that the combination ofnarrative and concrete media could enhance students’ motivation, attention, andconceptual understanding comprehensively. Hence, teachers were encouraged toimplement this method as an innovative and enjoyable alternative for elementaryschool learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how Opinion Gap Tasks in the Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) framework facilitate students' speaking skills development through opinion exchange activities and analyze how gender differences influence students' participation, interaction patterns, and performance during these tasks. A qualitative case study design was employed, involving 11th-grade students from a high school in Lembang. Data were collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews, and analyzed using Braun and Clarke's (2006) Thematic Analysis and Toulmin's (1958) Argumentation Model. The findings reveal different communication and reasoning patterns between male and female students. Female students were more expressive, emotional, and confident, often relying on experiential reasoning and empathy, while male students were more logical, structured, and cautious in their argumentation. Despite these differences, both genders found Opinion Gap Tasks effective in enhancing fluency, confidence, and critical thinking in speaking English. These tasks also fostered respect for differing opinions, learner autonomy, and reflective awareness in communication. Overall, the study concludes that integrating Opinion Gap Tasks into TBLT effectively promotes inclusive communicative competence and meaningful language learning in the EFL classroom. Abstract

Artikel berikut ini berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan di Taman Kanak-kanak Negeri Payolansek Barat Pembina dengan tujuan untuk menentukan hal-hal berikut: tingkat keterampilan berbicara di kalangan anak kecil; peran orang tua dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara pada anak usia dini; dan hubungan antara keduanya. Dengan menggabungkan metodologi kuantitatif dan kualitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran, model sekuensial eksplanatori. Uji korelasi momen produk digunakan untuk menganalisis data kuantitatif yang dikumpulkan dari kuesioner skala Likert, sementara proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan digunakan untuk menganalisis data kualitatif yang dikumpulkan dari wawancara mendalam. Menurut data, variabel Peran Orang Tua memiliki persentase tinggi sebesar 43,75% dan persentase sangat tinggi sebesar 31,25%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa beberapa orang tua cukup terlibat dalam membantu anak-anak mereka dengan perkembangan bicara mereka, baik di rumah maupun di kelas. Di sisi lain, variabel keterampilan berbicara untuk anak-anak berada dalam kategori tinggi sebesar 50%, yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa Taman Kanak-kanak Pembina Barat Payolansek memiliki kemampuan berbicara yang cukup baik. Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed the learning process in elementary schools, particularly in developing students’ reading skills. However, the integration of digital technology in basic literacy learning remains debated regarding its effectiveness, learning motivation, and the role of teacher and parental support. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital technology use on elementary students’ reading ability through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were collected from twelve nationally indexed Sinta articles published between 2022 and 2025. The review process followed the PRISMA model, consisting of identification, screening, and thematic analysis based on each study’s focus. The synthesis results indicate that the use of digital media such as Canva, Literacy Cloud, digital comics, instructional videos, and read-aloud e-books consistently improves early reading skills, text comprehension, and students’ learning motivation. On the other hand, the success of digital technology utilization largely depends on teachers’ pedagogical design and parental supervision in managing screen time. This study concludes that digital technology has great potential to enhance elementary students’ reading literacy when implemented pedagogically, adaptively, and accompanied by character-based digital literacy reinforcement.

Abstract

This study investigated the relationship between self-efficacy and speaking anxiety among students of the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program in assisting English speaking lessons at the elementary level. Employing a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 83 students of the 2023 PGSD cohort at Universitas Negeri Makassar, selected through simple random sampling using Slovin’s formula. Two validated instruments were used: the Self-Efficacy Scale and the Speaking Anxiety Scale, both showing good reliability (α = .82 and .79). Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation, and Kendall’s tau-b. The findings revealed a significant negative correlation between self-efficacy and speaking anxiety (r = –.290, p = .008; τ = –.252, p = .002), indicating that students with higher self-efficacy tended to experience lower levels of speaking anxiety. These results emphasize the critical role of affective factors in pre-service teacher preparation, particularly within structured programs such as Asistensi Mengajar di Satuan Pendidikan (AMSD), Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan (PLP) 1, and PLP 2, where PGSD students serve as teaching assistants. The study suggests that pedagogical strategies such as microteaching, peer collaboration, and reflective practice may enhance self-efficacy and reduce speaking anxiety, thereby improving pre-service teachers’ readiness to support English speaking instruction at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study critically examines the professionalization of Catholic Religious Education (CRE) teachers in Indonesia, revealing an epistemological tension between pedagogical rationality and faith formation. Using a narrative literature review combined with discourse analysis of the 2025 Self-Study Module: Professional Content for CRE, the findings show the dominance of secular-pedagogical discourse that prioritizes learning design, materials, and assessment, while the dimension of faith-based pedagogy and spiritual vocation remains marginal. The study introduces Faith-Based Pedagogical Content Knowledge (FBPCK) as a holistic framework integrating pedagogical competence, spiritual depth, and pastoral identity. It recommends reforming certification modules to include reflective, spiritual, and pastoral formation through guided reflection, spiritual accompaniment, and practice-based portfolios grounded in faith-based professionalism.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students' mastery of the simple past tense in Grade X at SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa through the use of Grammarly in the learning process. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages, involving 27 Grade X-C students. Data were collected through observation sheets, field notes, student assignments, and portfolios. The results of the research showed a gradual improvement in pupils' command of simple past tense sentences, particularly in the use of verb 2 in positive sentences, verb 1 in negative and interrogative sentences, and the addition of appropriate time adverbs. Grammarly provided immediate feedback that assisted the learners in identifying and correcting the grammatical errors independently. The research results indicate that Grammarly is an interesting tool for improving mastery of the simple past tense.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai berikut : Pertama untuk mengetahui hasil menulis cerpen sebelum menggunakan Kartu Cerita (Story Cards) siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 37 Medan. Kedua untuk mengetahui hasil menulis cerpen sesudah menggunakan Kartu Cerita (Story Cards) siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 37 medan Ketiga untuk mengetahui pengaruh media kartu cerita (Story Cards) terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 37 medan. Adapun metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah Kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel random sampling yaitu kelas IXB berjumlah 32 siswa. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini meliputi : Pertama keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 37 medan sebelum (pretest) menggunakan kartu cerita (story cards) memperoleh nilai rata-rata 55,81 dengan kategori penilaian kurang (D) berada pada rentang 50-59. Kedua, keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 37 Medan sesudah (postest) menggunakan kartu cerita (story cards) memperoleh nilai rata-rata 70,56 dengan kategori penelian baik (B) berada pada rentang 70-84. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan uji normalitas menggunakan uji F, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t terdapat pengaruh media kartu cerita(story cards) terhadap keterampilan menulis cerpen siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 37 medan hal ini dibuktikan dengan thitung = 1,764 > ttabel = 1,6955. Pada taraf signifikkan 0,05 maka dengan demikian Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menganalisis pemahaman dan kesiapan guru sekolah dasar dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis Deep Learning. Sebanyak 160 guru dari Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan berpartisipasi sebagai responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan pengalaman mengajar dan keterlibatan dalam pelatihan Deep Learning. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket skala Likert yang telah divalidasi, mencakup lima dimensi utama, yaitu pemahaman konseptual tentang Deep Learning, kesiapan pedagogik, kesiapan teknologi, motivasi pengembangan diri, serta persepsi terhadap hambatan dan dukungan kelembagaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan guru tidak merata pada setiap dimensi. Kesiapan teknologi memperoleh skor rata-rata tertinggi dan tergolong tinggi, terutama pada guru muda yang aktif menggunakan perangkat digital dan aplikasi kecerdasan buatan dalam mendukung kolaborasi dan umpan balik pembelajaran. Sebaliknya, skor terendah ditemukan pada dimensi pemahaman konseptual dan kesiapan pedagogik. Sebagian besar guru masih menyamakan Deep Learning dengan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan belum memahami landasan filosofisnya yang menekankan pembelajaran bermakna, reflektif, dan menyenangkan. Motivasi guru untuk mengembangkan kompetensi berada pada kategori sedang, dengan kecenderungan bergantung pada dukungan kelembagaan dibandingkan dorongan intrinsik. Hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan penerapan Deep Learning tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kecakapan teknologi, tetapi juga oleh kematangan konseptual dan pedagogik guru. Penguatan kapasitas guru perlu dilakukan melalui pengembangan profesional yang integrative dengan mengombinasikan literasi digital, kesadaran filosofis, dan refleksi pedagogik dalam ekosistem institusional yang mendukung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Standar Pengelolaan di SDN 2 Nagasari Karawang sebagai salah satu komponen utama Standar Nasional Pendidikan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode observasi langsung dan wawancara mendalam kepada kepala sekolah, guru, serta staf administrasi. Data yang dikumpulkan difokuskan pada perencanaan program sekolah, pengelolaan kurikulum, manajemen sarana dan prasarana, pengelolaan peserta didik, serta sistem evaluasi dan pelaporan kinerja sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDN 2 Nagasari telah memiliki rencana kerja jangka pendek dan jangka menengah yang mengacu pada visi, misi, dan tujuan sekolah, serta telah melakukan pengelolaan kurikulum dan kegiatan belajar mengajar secara sistematis. Namun, masih ditemukan beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan sarana prasarana tertentu dan kebutuhan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam pengelolaan administrasi pembelajaran. Secara umum, pengelolaan sekolah di SDN 2 Nagasari Karawang sudah berjalan sesuai ketentuan, tetapi perlu optimalisasi pada aspek monitoring dan evaluasi internal agar mutu pendidikan dapat meningkat secara berkelanjutan.
