Abstract

This research examines Donald Trump's 2025 Inauguration Speeches through the lens of critical discourse analysis, analysing persuasion, power and rhetorical strategies. Employing Norman Fairclough's three-dimensional framework, textual analysis, discursive practice, and social practice, the study investigates how Trump constructs persuasion and power dynamic through mobilizing public support. Data were taken from official transcript and video recording of the speech analysed using qualitative methods with descriptive type. The analysis revealed that Donald Trump uses inclusive pronouns, modality, repetition, metaphor, and Aristotelian appeals to ethos, pathos, and logos to build solidarity with his audience and reinforce nationalist rhetoric. A Discursive Practice Analysis revealed the speech has been influenced by political discourse and broadcast to global audiences. The social practice perspective positions the speech within U.S. political traditions and reflecting populist ideology. This approach contributes to the emerging field of political discourse analysis. This field shows that language is more than just a way to communicate, it is also a way to control people and spread ideas.

Abstract

Media ajar yang menarik sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa, namun kebanyakan bahan ajar Bahasa Indonesia saat ini masih monoton. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan media ajar teks deskripsi berbasis pop-up book yang inovatif dan menarik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) yang diadaptasi menjadi enam tahap: analisis potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi, revisi, dan uji coba. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP IT Nurul Ilmi, Medan, serta divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pop-up book yang dikembangkan dinilai sangat layak oleh para validator. Berdasarkan angket kebutuhan, 83,3% siswa menginginkan media pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif seperti pop-up book. Uji coba produk juga menunjukkan respon yang sangat positif dari siswa, di mana media ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan minat, motivasi, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi teks deskripsi. Dengan demikian, media ajar pop-up book ini valid dan efektif digunakan sebagai inovasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan model pembelajaran Life A Rise yang terintegrasi dengan Role Play dan Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia materi gambaran rute perjalanan dalam teks petunjuk dan teks deskripsi di kelas IVB SDN Alalak Tengah 3 Banjarmasin. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kegiatan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum model Life A Rise digunakan, siswa cenderung pasif dan kegiata belajar lebih didominasi oleh penjelasan guru. Setelah penerapan model Life A Rise, keaktifan siswa meningkat secara signifikan, ditandai dengan keterlibatan aktif dalam diskusi, simulasi peran, serta peningkatan rasa percaya diri dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Dengan demikian, penerapan model Life A Rise yang terintegrasi dengan Role Play dan PBL terbukti mampu mendorong keaktifan belajar, memperkuat interaksi sosial, serta meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi fungsional dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of guidance and counseling (BK) teachers in improving the psychological well-being of fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. It also identifies the strategies used and the factors influencing students’ psychological well-being. This study applied a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that BK teachers play multiple roles as counselors, facilitators, motivators, mediators, and role models in guiding students to manage emotional and social challenges. Implemented strategies include personal, social, learning, and career guidance; motivational encouragement; and the creation of a supportive learning environment. Internal factors such as emotion, motivation, self-confidence, and spirituality, and external factors such as family support, school environment, social interaction, and economic background, strongly influence students’ psychological well-being. The active involvement of BK teachers positively contributes to emotional stability, motivation, and social adaptability among students. The study recommends that schools employ professional BK teachers to ensure the sustainability of counseling services and the development of students’ holistic well-being.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat teknologi digital telah membuka peluang luas bagi penerapan media berbasis komputer dalam pendidikan inklusif, terutama bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus yang memerlukan rangsangan belajar multisensori, visual, dan interaktif. Praktik pembelajaran konvensional di SLB Negeri Semarang masih didominasi oleh penggunaan buku teks dan penjelasan guru yang bersifat satu arah, sehingga kurang menarik perhatian siswa kelas 2 dengan karakteristik tunagrahita ringan dan autistik ringan. Kondisi ini menyebabkan rendahnya motivasi, daya konsentrasi, serta kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan kepada peserta didik. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis komputer grafis menggunakan aplikasi game edukatif untuk meningkatkan motivasi, fokus, dan pemahaman siswa. Hipotesis yang diajukan menyatakan bahwa game edukatif berbasis komputer grafis dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan belajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) adaptif dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Media yang dihasilkan memadukan visual berwarna cerah, animasi dinamis, efek suara interaktif, serta navigasi sederhana yang sesuai dengan kemampuan kognitif siswa. Hasil validasi menunjukkan skor kelayakan 92% dari ahli media dan 88% dari ahli materi dengan kategori sangat layak. Uji coba terhadap enam siswa menunjukkan peningkatan perhatian, partisipasi, serta kesenangan dalam belajar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa game edukatif berbasis komputer grafis efektif, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung guru dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang adaptif, menarik, dan berpusat pada siswa di lingkungan pendidikan khusus.

Abstract

Writing narrative paragraphs poses challenges for EFL learners due to the demands of grammatical accuracy, coherence, and narrative flow. This study aims to analyze error types, identify their causes, and evaluate the writing flow in narrative paragraphs produced by first-semester English Education students at the University of Mataram, academic year 2024/2025. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected from 15 student writings and interviews with selected participants. The findings reveal that addition and misformation errors were the most frequent, followed by omission and misordering. The primary causes of errors stemmed from first language interference and direct translation, with carelessness contributing in some cases. In terms of writing flow, most students used transition signals and compound sentences effectively, yet struggled with proper comma usage. These results highlight the need for explicit instruction on narrative structure and focused feedback to enhance academic writing proficiency.

Abstract

IT-based mathematics learning media integrated with AI hold substantial potential in education. However, such media have not been widely implemented in Indonesian schools, particularly at the elementary level. In fact, one of the supporting aspects of the deep learning approach is the use of digital technology, which is closely related to digital literacy as a key 21st-century competency that students must acquire. This study aims to develop interactive mathematics learning media using GeoGebra integrated with AI (ChatGPT) to enhance students’ digital literacy and support AI-based deep learning in mathematics, specifically on the topic of the elements and nets of cube and cuboid for grade V elementary students. ChatGPT is use alongside GeoGebra in helping students understand the concepts: GeoGebra facilitated visualization and interactive simulation, while ChatGPT supports conceptual exploration and reflection. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE development model. The study was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 15 Surabaya. The results indicate that the developed media are highly valid, with a validity score of 3.95, and highly practical, with a practicality score of 3.38. In line with the deep learning approach principles: students were able to discover the concepts of elements and nets of cube and cuboid independently and enjoyably through the integration of GeoGebra and ChatGPT (joyful learning). Consequently, the knowledge acquired by the students became meaningful (meaningful learning) and they were able to realize the learning objectives because they were deeply engaged in the process of conceptual discovery (mindful learning).

Abstract

Educational transformation in the digital age requires fundamental changes in how teachers understand the nature of science and the learning process. In this context, the philosophy of science paradigm becomes an important foundation that determines the direction of pedagogical innovation, including the application of deep learning and coding in elementary schools. This study aims to analyze how the philosophy of science paradigm plays a role in directing the transformation of deep learning and coding in elementary schools receiving BOS Kinerja (School Performance-Based Funding). The focus of the study is directed at teachers' perspectives on knowledge, technology, and reflective practices in building a 21st-century learning ecosystem. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted in high-ranking elementary schools based on the results of the National Education Report Card. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, then analyzed thematically using the stages of reduction, categorization, and interpretation of meaning. The results of the study show that teachers who have a constructivist and humanistic paradigm are able to transform learning into a more meaningful, reflective, and collaborative process. Deep learning encourages the development of higher-order thinking and social empathy, while the application of coding plays a role in fostering computational thinking and creativity in students. The support of the BOS Kinerja policy strengthens innovation through the provision of resources and performance-based management. The conclusion of this study confirms that a paradigm shift in the philosophy of science among teachers is the key to the success of learning transformation in elementary schools. Philosophical awareness of the nature of science, values, and technology is the main foundation for sustainable and meaningful education. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep pembentukan karakter, khususnya tanggung jawab dan kedisiplinan, dalam kerangka tafsir tarbawi oleh tiga mufassir kontemporer: Quraish Shihab, Wahbah az-Zuhaili, dan Sayyid Tantawi, serta menganalisis relevansinya terhadap pendidikan Islam masa kini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi bagaimana nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an ditafsirkan secara pedagogis oleh para mufassir tersebut dan bagaimana interpretasi tersebut dapat menjadi landasan konseptual bagi penguatan pendidikan karakter di era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, analisis isi, dan analisis komparatif. Data primer diperoleh dari karya tafsir ketiga mufassir, didukung sumber sekunder terkait pendidikan Islam dan pembentukan karakter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga mufassir menekankan tanggung jawab sebagai kewajiban moral terhadap diri, masyarakat, dan Allah, sedangkan kedisiplinan diposisikan sebagai nilai fundamental yang membentuk konsistensi dalam akidah, ibadah, dan perilaku sosial. Meskipun terdapat perbedaan penekanan dan gaya penyajian, interpretasi mereka bersepakat bahwa tanggung jawab dan kedisiplinan merupakan inti dari pendidikan berbasis Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tafsir tarbawi menyediakan landasan normatif yang kuat bagi pengembangan model pendidikan karakter Islam yang berakar pada spiritualitas sekaligus relevan dengan tantangan pendidikan kontemporer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai kendala pembelajaran serta strategi solutif yang diterapkan oleh guru Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa di jenjang sekolah dasar. Dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menelaah tujuh artikel jurnal yang relevan dan berfokus pada faktor-faktor penghambat serta strategi efektif dalam pengembangan literasi membaca. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan membaca siswa disebabkan oleh faktor internal, seperti rendahnya motivasi, minat, dan kemampuan kognitif, serta faktor eksternal, meliputi kurangnya dukungan keluarga dan keterbatasan sarana belajar. Guru memiliki peran strategis sebagai fasilitator, motivator, sekaligus inovator dalam menerapkan beragam strategi pembelajaran, antara lain metode fonik, metode eja, pendekatan berbasis cerita rakyat, serta model kooperatif seperti Think Pair Share dan CIRC, yang terbukti berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan pemahaman bacaan siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan membaca perlu dilakukan melalui pendekatan yang komprehensif dan kolaboratif antara guru, orang tua, serta lingkungan sekolah guna membangun ekosistem literasi yang berkesinambungan di tingkat pendidikan dasar.
