Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

The development of religious and moral values is the ability to behave, act, and act. In instilling religious and moral values in early childhood, a method is needed. The purpose of this study was to understand the instillation of religious and moral values in early childhood through storytelling activities at NURUL KARTIKA TEGALHARJO Kindergarten. This study uses qualitative research involving teachers and students. Data were analyzed qualitatively through a data reduction approach, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The output of this study shows that instilling religious and moral values in early childhood can be done through storytelling activities at NURUL KARTIKA TEGALHARJO Kindergarten using stories that instill religious and moral values in early childhood.

This study aims to determine the effect of using audio-visual media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SDN 11 Palembang. The method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, namely pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of the study consisted of two classes, namely class IV.C as the control group and class IV.A as the experimental group. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the average pretest and posttest scores in the control class were 53 and 75.50, respectively, while in the experimental class it increased from 52.86 to 86.67. The t-test produced a t-value of 2.688, which is greater than the t-table of 2.022, indicating that there is a significant effect of using audio-visual media on learning outcomes of Indonesian. Thus, audio-visual media is proven to be effective in improving student learning outcomes.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Probing Prompting learning model assisted by Question Card media on the critical thinking skills of Grade III elementary school students. This research is an experimental study with a quantitative experimental research design. The population in this study consisted of 164 students at SD Negeri 226 Palembang. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique, with Class III.4 (32 students) as the experimental group applying the Probing Prompting learning model assisted by Question Card media, and Class III.5 (32 students) as the control group using conventional learning methods. The data collection technique employed was a test designed to measure students’ critical thinking skills, while the data analysis used the independent sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of the Probing Prompting learning model assisted by Question Card media on improving the critical thinking skills of Grade III elementary school students. Students in the experimental class demonstrated enhanced analytical thinking, greater engagement during learning activities, and improved performance in problem-solving tasks compared to those in the control class. These findings suggest that incorporating the Probing Prompting learning model with Question Card media can be an effective strategy for fostering critical thinking skills in elementary mathematics education.

This study aims to determine the effect of using LessonUp-based learning media on students' short story writing skills. The background of this research is the low student engagement and performance in writing short stories due to the use of conventional methods that are less interactive. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method was employed in this research. The design used was post-test only control group design, involving two groups: an experimental class using LessonUp and a control class using conventional methods. The population consisted of all eleventh-grade students at SMAN 4 Palembang, and samples were selected using cluster random sampling. Data collection was conducted using writing tests. The results showed that the experimental class obtained a higher average post-test score (87.46) compared to the control class (70.93). The data met the normality and homogeneity assumptions. The hypothesis test using an independent sample t-test indicated a significant difference between the two groups, with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 and a t-count of 11.374, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.667. It can be concluded that the use of LessonUp-based media has a significant positive effect on students' short story writing skills.

This study aims to analyze students' social literacy skills in the Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject in Grade III at SDN 137 Palembang. Social literacy is a crucial aspect of character development that includes four main indicators: self-awareness, emotional understanding and regulation, understanding of social situations, and relationship-building. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The results show that students demonstrate a fairly good ability to understand themselves and regulate their emotions, especially in real-life social situations such as helping peers or working collaboratively. Their understanding of social situations and ability to form relationships are also developing, although challenges remain in responding to more complex and implicit social problems, such as peer pressure or hidden social conflicts. The highest achievement was found in indicators related to empathy and cooperation, while lower performance appeared in analyzing social issues and showing moral courage. Therefore, IPAS learning is expected to be developed further in contextual and reflective ways to enhance students' overall social awareness. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating social values into early education so that students grow not only cognitively but also socially and emotionally.

This research aims to describe the problems faced by teachers in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research results show that in the independent curriculum planning process, what teachers do is to prepare learning such as teaching modules and learning media related to the material to be taught and the principal also conducts training in schools to provide insight into the implementation of the independent curriculum. In its implementation, elementary school 01 Pulau Beringin teachers apply learning by using various methods such as using video-based learning media, photos displayed with infocus in implementing an independent curriculum. However, some teachers have difficulty understanding the concepts and techniques of implementing independent curricula, especially for senior teachers who experience limitations in compiling learning plans such as ATP and teaching modules, there are obstacles in carrying out project-based learning, low skills of senior teachers in using technology, and difficulties for teachers to change learning methods. The evaluation stage of the method used by the teacher is to use an assessment to see the student's learning achievements, both daily repetitions, mid-semester tests, and end-of-semester assessments. In overcoming the problems that occur, every homeroom teacher has a companion teacher who can help implement an independent curriculum to help the homeroom teacher in learning in the classroom.

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Educaplay Game on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade II students of SD Negeri 36 Palembang on multiplication and division material. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study involved two classes, namely the experimental class using the Educaplay Game and the control class using conventional methods. Data collection was carried out through essay tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) treatment. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in the experimental class, with an average pretest score of 75.00 and a posttest of 84.30, while the control class showed an average pretest score of 77.80 and a posttest of 84.30. Data analysis using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests showed that the use of the Educaplay Game had a significant effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This research is motivated by the lack of variety of teaching materials and the limited use of technology in the learning process, so that the learning process becomes less active and less interesting for students. To overcome this, researchers developed digital flipbook-based teaching materials in grade V IPAS learning with the material “My Indonesia is Rich in Biology”. The purpose of this study was to produce teaching materials that are valid, practical and effective. This research and development uses the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 (five) stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data analysis was conducted to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of teaching materials. The results showed that the developed digital flipbook-based teaching materials had a “High” level of validity with an average Aiken's V value of 0.84. The level of practicality of teaching materials is in the “Very Practical” category with an average value of 91.77%. The effectiveness of this teaching material is also “High” with an average N-Gain score of 0.91. Thus, it can be concluded that digital flipbook-based teaching materials in grade V IPAS learning are categorized as valid, practical, and effective and are suitable for use in the IPAS learning process.

The purpose of this study was to determine students' learning styles in mathematics subjects on the material of measuring area and volume in grade IV SDN 2 Linggo Sari and to determine the strengths and weaknesses of students' learning styles at SDN2 Linggo Sari. The research method used was a case study, the instruments in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The validity of the data was triangulation of sources and techniques. Data presentation was in the form of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The findings of the study of grade IV SDN 2 Linggo Sari showed that students with a visual learning style learned by relying on the sense of sight, auditory learning style used the sense of hearing, kinesthetic learning style learned by doing a lot of movement. The advantages of students with a visual learning style were understanding material presented with pictures, while the disadvantages were finding it difficult to understand material if it was not presented with pictures. The advantages of students with auditory learning styles are that they easily understand material with audio, the teacher's explanation has difficulty focusing on learning if the atmosphere is noisy. The advantages of students with kinesthetic learning styles are that they understand the material if they try it directly, the disadvantages are that it is difficult to understand the material if they do not practice it directly.

This research aimed to identify the impact of classroom management on student learning motivation at MIS PUI Haurkolot. Utilizing a quantitative correlational approach, data was collected through questionnaires and document studies from the principal, teachers, and students in grades 4, 5, and 6. Quantitative data analysis, including validity and reliability testing with SPSS version 26.0 (Windows), indicated that both classroom management and student learning motivation levels were in the moderate category. Determinant analysis revealed that the classroom management variable contributed 40.1% to learning motivation, with external factors accounting for the remaining 59.9%. Furthermore, statistical testing (T-test), showing a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), confirmed a significant influence of classroom management on student learning motivation at MIS PUI Haurkolot.
