Abstract

Low student achievement in mathematics, especially in the topic of plane figures, is often caused by the use of less engaging teaching methods. Teachers tend to rely on lectures, making students less active and more likely to struggle with understanding the material. This study aims to examine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on the learning outcomes of third-grade students. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 18 students from class III-B at SD Negeri 1 Trenceng as the experimental group and 12 students from class III-A at SD Negeri 2 Trenceng as the control group. Data were collected using pre-tests and post-tests that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using Jamovi software. The results showed that the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model had a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. The average pre-test score in the experimental group increased from 62.2 to 88.9, while the control group improved from 60.0 to 74.2. The t-test produced a significance value of p < 0.001. The data also met the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. In conclusion, the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model is effective in improving the learning outcomes of third-grade students in the topic of plane figures at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Learning difficulties in students are a reality that is often found in every school. Moreover, in elementary schools, there are still many students who find it difficult to understand multiplication material. According to (Cahyadi, et al. 2021: p. 175) the problem occurs because most students have difficulty understanding the material on multiplication operations. This will result in low student learning outcomes and difficulty in understanding subsequent material. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors of learning difficulties in mathematics multiplication material for class 3b, SDI Al-Ikhlas Karangrejo, Tulungagung Regency. The data collection method used observation, interviews and documentation. While data analysis used descriptive analysis Miles and Huberman which consisted of: Data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The findings of this study prove that the factors of learning difficulties in mathematics multiplication material for class 3b SDI Al-Ikhlas Karangrejo, Tulungagung Regency consist of internal and external factors from students. The results of this study can be used as evaluation material in efforts to improve understanding of multiplication.

Abstract

The low motivation of students in the learning process is one of the problems that can hinder achieving optimal learning outcomes. Based on this problem, this study aims to describe students' learning motivation and to understand the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 28 Parepare. The approach used is a quantitative approach with experimental research type, using a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research population is the students of UPTD SD Negeri 28 Parepare, with the sample being students of class IV.I. Data was collected through the distribution of learning motivation questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the Paired sample t-test. The results of the inferential statistical analysis show a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0,001 < 0.05 and show that Tarithmetic > Ttable, namely 6,425 > 2,045 which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in students' learning motivation before and after being given learning using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in the Science subject in class IV of UPTD SD Negeri 28 Parepare.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology demands innovation in the world of education to keep up with the progress of the times. IPAS learning at SDN Sambungrejo still uses conventional methods which causes only 40% of students to achieve KKTP, while 60% of students have smartphones that are used for entertainment rather than learning. This research aims to develop interactive learning media based on Android applications for solar system material for grade VI elementary school students so that learning is in accordance with digital technology developments. The research uses Research and Development (R&D) method with ADDIE model. The media was developed using Canva, PowerPoint, iSpring Suite 11, and APK Builder. The test subjects included expert validators, grade VI teachers, and 10 grade VI students of SDN Sambungrejo. The research results show that the learning media is valid based on assessments from media, language, and material experts. The media proved to be quite effective with an N-gain value of 0.66 and an increase in students' average scores from 51.00 to 85.00. In terms of practicality, the media received very good responses from teachers (97.1%) and students (95.5%). Interactive learning media based on Android applications effectively improves learning quality in accordance with digital technology developments.

Abstract

This study investigates the development and implementation of the Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) module based on a learning community, aimed at enhancing the pedagogical competencies of teachers in public elementary. The research is structured around three primary questions: (1) What are the needs analysis results for the P5 project module based on a learning community? (2) How is the design for implementing the P5 project module structured? and (3) What is the process of developing the P5 project module to improve the pedagogical competencies of teachers? A limited trial was conducted involving 20 teachers from the Ki Hajar Dewantara cluster, employing qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The findings reveal that the module's structure is coherent and user-friendly, effectively integrating local wisdom through narratives about Ki Gede Sebayu and Ki Ageng Anggawana. Teachers generally responded positively to the module's content, recognizing its relevance to Pancasila values, though they suggested the inclusion of more diverse and interactive activities to foster student engagement. Observational data indicated that students exhibited increased participation in project-based learning initiatives, although some teachers noted difficulties in maintaining students' focus during activities. The overall evaluation indicated that the module is effective in supporting teacher competency development, with an average score of 81.71% for the module's structure and 82.8% for the content, categorizing them as "Very Good."

Abstract

This research aims to identify the learning difficulties and responses of slow learner students in IPAS learning in grade III of SD IT Plus Qurthuba. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through interviews and documentation with the IPAS teacher who is also the class homeroom teacher, as well as two slow learner students. The results indicate that slow learner students experience difficulties in understanding scientific terms, tend to forget easily, and often fall behind in their studies. Student responses to IPAS learning improve when teachers utilize visual media and small group learning. Other inhibiting factors include a lack of learning support at home and teaching methods that do not align with students' learning styles. Suggested solutions include the use of varied media, language simplification, formation of small groups, and increased parental involvement. This research is expected to serve as a reference for more inclusive IPAS learning.
