Abstract

This study investigates the development and implementation of the Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) module based on a learning community, aimed at enhancing the pedagogical competencies of teachers in public elementary. The research is structured around three primary questions: (1) What are the needs analysis results for the P5 project module based on a learning community? (2) How is the design for implementing the P5 project module structured? and (3) What is the process of developing the P5 project module to improve the pedagogical competencies of teachers? A limited trial was conducted involving 20 teachers from the Ki Hajar Dewantara cluster, employing qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The findings reveal that the module's structure is coherent and user-friendly, effectively integrating local wisdom through narratives about Ki Gede Sebayu and Ki Ageng Anggawana. Teachers generally responded positively to the module's content, recognizing its relevance to Pancasila values, though they suggested the inclusion of more diverse and interactive activities to foster student engagement. Observational data indicated that students exhibited increased participation in project-based learning initiatives, although some teachers noted difficulties in maintaining students' focus during activities. The overall evaluation indicated that the module is effective in supporting teacher competency development, with an average score of 81.71% for the module's structure and 82.8% for the content, categorizing them as "Very Good."

Abstract

This research aims to identify the learning difficulties and responses of slow learner students in IPAS learning in grade III of SD IT Plus Qurthuba. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through interviews and documentation with the IPAS teacher who is also the class homeroom teacher, as well as two slow learner students. The results indicate that slow learner students experience difficulties in understanding scientific terms, tend to forget easily, and often fall behind in their studies. Student responses to IPAS learning improve when teachers utilize visual media and small group learning. Other inhibiting factors include a lack of learning support at home and teaching methods that do not align with students' learning styles. Suggested solutions include the use of varied media, language simplification, formation of small groups, and increased parental involvement. This research is expected to serve as a reference for more inclusive IPAS learning.

Abstract

One important element in education is reading. This research is motivated by the discovery of several literacy issues at SDN No. 20 Inpres Somba, where almost all students can read but struggle to understand what they have read. Not only that, but students also have difficulty making statements that correspond to the reading text. Furthermore, it was found that some students are unable to determine the theme of a reading, struggle to retell the text in their own words, and have difficulty drawing conclusions from a reading text. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Reading Guide method using fictional literary works to improve students' reading comprehension skills. The Reading Guide method is a teaching strategy designed to help students organize information and enhance their understanding of the text. In this research, fictional literary works were chosen as a learning medium due to their ability to engage students and provide a rich context for exploring meaning. The research method used is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the study consisted of 13 fourth-grade students at SDN No. 20 Inpres Somba. The results showed that the implementation of the Reading Guide method in teacher activities during the first cycle resulted in a "sufficient" category and improved to a "good" category in the second cycle.
