Abstract

Abstrak: Pada akhir tahun 2023 sudah mulai pergantian dari musim panas ke musim penghujan. Hal tersebut akan menyebabkan tersebarnya nyamuk yang menimbulkan demam berdarah, yang dikarenakan cepatnya pertumbuhan jentik nyamuk. Berdasarkan pengamatan kelompok selama hampir satu minggu di Ruang Dahlia Bawah, didapati banyak keluarga atau orangtua pasien yang menggantungkan baju, selimut, bahkan handuk di handrail tempat tidur. Hal tersebut akan mengundang nyamuk untuk hinggap di pakaian-pakaian yang tergantung tersebut. Tujuan pendidikan kesehatan: Meningkatkan ppengetahuan orang tua tentang pencegahan dan penanganan demam berdarah. Metode: yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi/tanya jawab, serta memberikan kuesioner pre dan kusioner post bekerja sama dengan perawat diruang dahlia RSUD Kabupaten Tangerang. Hasil kegiatan: pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan dengan pengetahuan orang tua tentang pencegahan dan penanganan DBD dari kuesioner sebelumpendidikan Kesehatan dilakukan didapat hasil Tingkat pengetahuan sebesar 40% dan setelah kegiatan terjadi pengaruh pengetahuan pencegahan dan penanganan DBD sebanyak 98,8%.Abstract: At the end of 2023 the change from summer to rainy season will begin. This will cause the spread of mosquitoes which cause dengue fever, which is due to the rapid growth of mosquito larvae. Based on group observations for almost a week in the Lower Dahlia Room, it was found that many families or parents of patients were hanging clothes, blankets and even towels on the bed handrail. This will invite mosquitoes to land on the hanging clothes. Health education objective: Increase parents' knowledge about preventing and treating dengue fever. Methods: used were lectures, discussions/questions and answers, as well as providing pre- and post-questionnaires in collaboration with nurses in the Dahlia ward at Tangerang District Hospital. Activity results: the influence of Health Education on parents' knowledge about preventing and treating dengue fever. From the questionnaire before the Health Education was carried out, the knowledge level was 40% and after the activity the influence of knowledge on preventing and treating dengue fever was 98.8%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Berawal dari seringnya generasi muda melakukan interaksi kemunikasi daring sehingga menunjukkan penurunan minat untuk berbicara di depan umum secara luring. Oleh sebab itu tema pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan public speaking untuk siswa dan siswi SMA dan SMK di kota Batam. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Putra Batam Batu Aji, SMA Ulul Ilmi Cendekia Sekupang, SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Batam, SMK Putra Jaya Tembesi, dan SMK Globe Nasional Plus 2 Batam pada bulan Januari sampai bulan April 2023. Keseluruhan peserta berjumlah 147 siswa dan siswi. Metode pelatihan yang diberikan adalah metode service learning dengan model lecture, discussion, dan practice doing karena tujuan pelatihan ini adalah peserta dapat mendemonstrasikan hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan yaitu public speaking. Untuk mengetahui kemampuan dasar public speaking, peserta diharuskan menjawab 5 pertanyaan. 130 peserta memperoleh nilai di atas 70. Dari hasil kegiatan ini, peserta memiliki pengetahuan soft skill tentang bagaimana berbicara di depan umum, bagaimana peserta menghindari rasa ragu atau gugup ketika berbicara, dan peserta mampu berbicara di depan umum dengan berbahasa Inggris. Kemampuan public speaking peserta meningkat 66%, dan 88% peserta mampu menjawab pertanyaan tentang public speaking. Pelatihan yang sudah dilaksanakan ini sangat bermanfaat apabila terus dilatih tetapi apabila hanya sekali dilakukan maka manfaat yang diperoleh tidak maksimal.Abstract: Nowadays, the youngsters are beginning to engage more frequently online interaction, which suggests a decline of interest in speaking in front of the public. Therefore, this activity focuses on providing the training of public speaking for the SMA and SMK students in Batam. This activity improves both the participants’ confidence and English skill. It was held at SMA Putra Batam Batu Aji, SMA Ulul Ilmi Cendekia Sekupang, SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Batam, SMK Putra Jaya Tembesi, and SMK Globe Nasional Plus 2 Batam from January to April 2023. 147 participants participated in this training. Due to the aim of this training is that the participants may demonstrate public speaking, it matched the method of service-learning with the models of lecture, discussion, and practice doing. The participants answered 5 essay questions about public speaking, and 130 participants scored above 70 points. The results of this activity were that the participants gained the soft skill about the ability to speak in front of the public, reduce doubt and nervousness while speaking, and speak English. The participants’ public speaking skill reached 66%, and 88% of participants understood about public speaking by answering the questions given.

Abstract

The diseases of diabetes and obesity have emerged as serious challenges in global public health, and adolescents are not exempt from this concern. These conditions not only impact physical health but also influence psychological well-being and overall quality of life. Modern lifestyles, characterized by unhealthy eating patterns and insufficient physical activity, contribute to the rising prevalence of both diseases among adolescents. Therefore, it is crucial to raise awareness and implement effective preventive measures among adolescents who are in a crucial stage of development. The objective of this outreach activity is to enhance participants' knowledge regarding the prevention of diabetes mellitus and obesity among teenagers.The method employed for this activity involves socialization with 45 teenage students. The event took place on January 18-19, 2024, at the Ikhsaniah High School Hall in Tegal City. The outcomes of the activity commenced with a pre-test, introduction, presentation of material, and discussion. In the first phase, a pre-test was conducted, revealing that 80.0% of students had insufficient knowledge. The second phase involved educational sessions, with the first covering the definition, risk factors, and prevention of diabetes mellitus. The second segment addressed obesity prevention, including the assessment of nutritional status through practical calculations. In the third phase, an evaluation was conducted, resulting in a notable increase in knowledge, with 90% improvement.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kondisi saat ini air hujan masih dipanen secara tradisional sehingga kualitas air hujan rendah. Tim kami memperkenalkan sistem pemanenan air hujan yang dapat menyaring partikel dan membuang air hujan pertama, sehingga dapat dihasilkan air hujan yang bersih. Namun penampungan air dari sistem pemanenan air hujan sangat potensial menjadi sumber perkembangbiakan jentik nyamuk. Nyamuk bukan saja menyebabkan kotoran tapi juga menyebabkan penyakit salah satunya demam berdarah dengue (DBD). Tujuan kegiatan adalah menangani permasalahan mitra, maka kami melaksanakan pelatihan dan pendampingan perancangan sistem pemanenan air hujan bebas jentik, kegiatan ini diawali dengan kegiatan survei jentik untuk mengetahui kualitas air dan jentik nyamuk di penampungan warga masyarakat Tanama Atas. Setelah itu dilaksanakan pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan sistem pemanenan air hujan bebas jentik dengan mempraktekkan langsung pembuatan alat serta memantau dan mendampingi masyarakat dalam pembuatan alat. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan diharapkan masyarakat dapat menerapkan teknologi di rumah masing-masing sehingga krisis air bersih diatasi dan penyebaran DBD di Kampung Tanama Atas dapat dibatasi.Abstract: The current condition is that rainwater is still harvested traditionally so the quality of rainwater is low. Our team introduced a rainwater harvesting system that can filter particles and remove the first rainwater, so that clean rainwater can be produced. However, water storage from rainwater harvesting systems has the potential to be a source of breeding for mosquito larvae. Mosquitoes not only cause dirt but also cause diseases, one of which is dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). The aim of the activity is to address partner problems, so we carry out training and assistance in designing a larva-free rainwater harvesting system. This activity begins with a larva survey activity to determine the quality of water and mosquito larvae in the Tanama Atas community shelter. After that, training and assistance was carried out in making a larva-free rainwater harvesting system by directly practicing making tools as well as monitoring and assisting the community in making tools. After the service activities are carried out, it is hoped that the community can apply technology in their homes so that the clean water crisis is overcome and the spread of dengue fever in Tanama Atas Village can be limited.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kehidupan seorang anak lima tahun pertama merupakan masa kritis perkembangan karena pada masa ini terbentuknya dasar-dasar kepribadian manusia, kemampuan pengindraan, berpikir, ketrampilan berbahasa, berbicara, bertingkah laku sosial dan sebagainya. Untuk mengurangi masalah perkembangan, penting untuk dilakukan upaya pencegahan sedini mungkin yaitu dengan melakukan deteksi dini perkembangan. Pada tingkat Posyandu kader kesehatan memiliki peran penting dalam melakukan skrining perkembangan. Tujuan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kader Kesehatan dalam melakukan Skrining perkembangan Anak Usia 0-6 tahun dengan menggunakan KPSP di Desa Oelnasi Kecamatan Kupang Tengah Kabupaten Kupang. Metode yang digunakan melalui penyuluhan dan demostrasi. Mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah kader kesehatan sebayak 10 orang. Evaluasi pengetahuan menggunakan kuesioner post-test sedangkan untuk ketrampilan kader kesehatan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata skor pre-test adalah 44,0±6,58 dan rata-rata skor post-test adalah 94,1±3,98. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata skor pre-test: 44,0 (SD=6,58) dan post-test: 94,1 (SD=3,98). Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan kader kesehatan setelah dilakukan penyuluhan (p=0,000;α< 0,05). Keterampilan kader mengalami peningkatan dari 40% menjadi 100%.Abstract: The life of a child in the first five years is a critical period of development because during this period the basics of human personality, the ability to sense, think, language skills, speech, social behavior and so on are formed. To reduce developmental problems, it is important to make preventive efforts as early as possible, namely by conducting early detection of development. At the Posyandu level, health cadres have an important role in conducting developmental screening. The purpose of the activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of health cadres in conducting developmental screening for children aged 0-6 years using KPSP in Oelnasi Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. The method used is through counseling and demonstrations. Partners in this activity are health cadres of 10 people. Knowledge evaluation uses a post-test questionnaire while for the skills of health cadres using observation sheets. The assessment results showed that there was a difference in the average score of the pre-test: 44.0 (SD=6.58) and post-test: 94.1 (SD=3.98). There was an increase in the knowledge of health cadres after counseling (p=0.000; α< 0,05). Cadre skills have increased from 40% to 100%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan menyusun dan menerapkan modul ajar literasi numerasi berdiferensiasi sangat penting karena sesuai Kurikulum Merdeka, menciptakan pembelajaran efektif, memenuhi kebutuhan beragam murid dan berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas hasil belajar. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru-guru SD di gugus seruni IV kabupaten pringsewu dalam mengelola pembelajaran literasi numerasi berdiferensiasi melalui pembuatan modul ajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi, workshop, pendampingan dan simulasi. Mitra pada pengabdian ini adalah guru SD yang tergabung dalam gugus seruni IV Kabupaten Pringsewu yang berjumlah 32 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan cara membagikan instrument pretest dan posttest dengan jumlah soal yang sama yaitu 15 soal serta observasi. Hasil yang dicapai pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru SD gugus seruni IV meningkat sebesar 10,54%; guru mampu membuat dan mengimplemntasikan modul ajar pada pembelajaran literasi numerasi; guru mampu mengelola kelas dengan baik; guru mampu mengimplementasikannya pembelajaran literasi numerasi berdiferensiasi dikelas.Abstract: Improving understanding and skills in compiling and implementing differentiated numeracy literacy teaching modules is very important because it complies with the Merdeka Curriculum, creates effective learning, meets the needs of diverse students and contributes to improving the quality of learning outcomes. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of elementary school teachers in seruni cluster IV pringsewu district in managing differentiated numeracy literacy learning through making teaching modules. The methods used are socialization, workshops, mentoring and simulation. Partners in this service are elementary school teachers who are members of the seruni cluster IV Pringsewu Regency, totaling 32 people. The evaluation was carried out by distributing pretest and posttest instruments with the same number of questions, namely 15 questions and observation. The results achieved in this service activity are the knowledge and skills of elementary school teachers of seruni cluster IV increased by 10.54%; teachers are able to create and implement teaching modules on numeracy literacy learning; teachers are able to manage the class well; teachers are able to implement differentiated numeracy literacy learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Abstrak: Prevalensi masalah diabetes meningkat setiap tahunya, masalah ini akan menyebabkan masalah dan komplikasi bagi kesehatan. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, salah satunya meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi mengenai diabetes. Salah satu cara meningkatkan pengetahuan melalui cakram gizi diabetes. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keteramilan kader Posbindu di Puskesmas Rawalumbu, Kota Bekasi menggunakan cakram gizi edukasi diabetes tipe II. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Puskesmas Rawalumbu, Kota Bekasi. Peserta kegiatan ini merupakan seluruh kader Posbindu di wilayah tersebut sebesar 30 orang. Edukasi dilakukan dari pukul 09.00 – 12.00 WIB di Puskesmas. Media yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa cakram gizi diabetes, cakram ini berisikan informasi mengenai gizi dan indeks glikemik pada makanan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa kuesioner pre-test dan post-test, berjumlah sepuluh pertanyaan tentang kegiatan edukasi dan lima pertanyaan tentang daya terima media. Hasil kegiatan ini mendapatkan pengetahuan sebelum edukasi sebesar 77 dan menjadi sebesar 88 setelah kegiatan edukasi terjadi peningkatan sebesar 16%. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan media berupa cakram gizi diabetes dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi kader Posbindu.Abstract: The incidence of diabetic complications is steadily rising each year, leading to various health issues and difficulties. One possible solution to address this issue is to enhance the understanding of diabetes through increased nutritional education. Using diabetes nutrition discs is an effective method to enhance understanding. The objective of this community service is to improve the knowledge and practice of Posbindu cadres at the Rawalumbu Community Health Center, Bekasi City, by utilizing type II diabetes educational nutrition discs. The community service initiative took place at the Rawalumbu Community Health Center, located in Bekasi City. All 30 Posbindu cadres from the vicinity were involved in this activity were 30 Posbindu cadres located in the vicinity. The educational activities take place from 09.00 to 12.00 WIB at the Puskesmas. This activity utilizes a diabetes nutrition disc, providing comprehensive information on nutrition and the glycemic index of various food items. The instruments used in this investigation consisted of pre-test and post-test questionnaires, containing a total of ten inquiries pertaining to educational activities and five inquiries on media acceptability. The pre-test of knowledge score was 77, which increased to 88 after participating in educational activities, resulting in a 16% improvement. Hence, employing media such as diabetes nutrition discs can enhance the nutritional awareness of Posbindu cadres.

Abstract

Abstrak: Stress pada pekerja terus meningkat seiring tingginya tuntutan kerja dan kurangnya dukungan. Stress kerja tidak hanya merugikan para pekerja namun juga pemberi kerja. Tujuan kegiatan edukasi dan latihan manajemen stress ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan cara memanajemen stress pada karyawan sehingga meningkatkan produktivitas kerja. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di kantor PT Cakra Manggilingan Jaya kepada 32 karyawan dengan metode edukasi dan latihan manajemen stress. Evaluasi dilakukan berdasarkan pertanyaan terkait pengetahuan dan tingkat stress pekerja sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Hasilnya didapatkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan pekerja terhadap kesehatan mental di lingkungan kerja sebesar 10,1% dan penurunan tingkat stress pekerja sebesar 3,9%.Abstract: Stress among workes continues to increase due to high works demands and lack of support. Works stress not only harms workers but also employers. The aim of this education and stress management exercises is to increase knowledge and ways of managing stress in employess so as to increase work productivity. The Community Service Activity held at PT Cakra Manggilingan Jaya for 32 employees using educational methods and stress management training. The evaluation is carried out based on questions related to worker’s knowledege and stress levels before and after education. The results showed an increase in workers knowledge of mental health in the work environment by 10,1% and a decrease in workers stress levels by 3,9%.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) yang dilaksanakan di sekolah menjadi terhambat karena adanya pandemi covid-19 yang melanda Indonesia. Kondisi ini juga memberikan dampak pada SMA Adabiah dalam penerapan PHBS. Untuk itu diperlukan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa tentang PHBS dalam agar sekolah menjadi bersih dan sehat. Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan pada pada 40 siswa PMR dan UKS. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan yang terbagi dua sesi yaitu sesi pertama berupa penyampaian materi atau ceramah tentang delapan indikator PHBS, dan dilanjutkan sesi kedua dengan demonstrasi bagaimana mencuci tangan dengan metode enam langkah secara baik dan benar, serta pengukuhan kader PHBS. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisa menggunakan uji statistik paired t-test. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan siswa tentang PHBS serta peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam mencuci tangan setelah pelatihan dengan nilai pengetahuan sebelum pelatihan 310,625 ± 59,3 dan sesudahnya menjadi 347,625 ± 69,2 (p<0.05). Disarankan pada sekolah agar dapat mengakomodir kebutuhan siswa terhadap sarana dan prasarana terutama tempat sampah yang bersih. Abstract: Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) implemented in schools has been hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit Indonesia. This condition also has an impact on Adabiah High School in implementing PHBS. For this reason, it is necessary to increase students' knowledge and skills about PHBS in order to make schools clean and healthy. This Community Service was carried out for 40 PMR and UKS students. This activity was carried out using an outreach method which was divided into two sessions, namely the first session in the form of delivering material or lectures about the eight PHBS indicators, and followed by the second session with a demonstration of how to wash your hands using the six-step method properly and correctly, as well as the inauguration of PHBS cadres. Evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire and analyzed using the paired t-test statistical test. The results of this activity were an increase in students' level of knowledge about PHBS as well as an increase in students' ability to wash their hands after training with a knowledge value before training of 310.625 ± 59.3 and afterward being 347.625 ± 69.2 (p<0.05). It is recommended that schools be able to accommodate students' needs for facilities and infrastructure, especially clean rubbish bins.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi menjadi penting di era digital. Kantor desa tidak lagi melalukan pelayanan secara manual dengan mencatatkan dan mengolah data menggunakan kertas dan pena. Saat ini, para pegawai di kantor desa juga dituntut dapat memanfaatkan berbagai perangkat digital seperti perangkat lunak Microsoft Excel. Oleh karena itu, tim dari dosen Fakultas Ilmu Komputer UPN Veteran Jakarta berupaya melaksanakan pengenalan pemanfaatan database pada Microsoft Excel sebagai upaya realisasi kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu membantu memberi pengenalan hard skill terkait pemanfaatan database pada Microsoft Excel untuk mencatat dan mengolah data. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui metode sosialisasi pemaparan materi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di satu mitra yaitu Kantor Desa Rawapanjang dengan melibatkan peserta sebanyak 11 perangkat desa. Pada pre-test pemateri menanyakan fungsi dari beberapa menu yang terdapat pada Microsoft Excel. Pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan pemberian post-test untuk menguji pemahaman peserta melalui tanya jawab secara lisan 5 soal terkait materi yang disampaikan. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian, diketahui 90% peserta dapat menjawab 5 soal post-test dengan tepat. Sebagai evaluasi dan upaya berkelanjutan akan dilaksanakan pelatihan dan pendampingan implementasi dari konsep pengenalan yang telah dipelajari melalui praktik.Abstract: The use of information technology is important in the digital era. Village offices no longer carry out services manually by recording and processing data using paper and pen. Currently, employees at village offices are also required to be able to utilize various digital tools such as Microsoft Excel software. Therefore, a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Computer Science, UPN Veteran Jakarta, is trying to introduce the use of databases in Microsoft Excel as an effort to realize community service activities. The aim of this activity is to help provide an introduction to hard skills related to using databases in Microsoft Excel to record and process data. Activities are carried out through the socialization method of presenting material. This service activity was carried out at one partner, namely the Rawapanjang Village Office, involving 11 village officials as participants. In the pre-test the speaker asked about the functions of several menus in Microsoft Excel. At the end of the activity, a post-test was given to test participants' understanding through verbal question and answer questions regarding the material presented. Based on the results of the service, it is known that 90% of participants were able to answer the 5 post-test questions correctly. As an evaluation and ongoing effort, training and assistance will be carried out in the implementation of introductory concepts that have been learned through practice.
