Abstract

Ecological disasters have resulted in environmental damage such as the sedimentation of the Lemau river estuary and abrasion on the coast of Central Bengkulu Regency. The increasingly critical environmental conditions have encouraged the women of Pondok Kelapa Village, who are housewives, to form the Lemau River Women's Group to participate together in efforts to save the environment. This research highlights the efforts made by the Lemau River Women's Group in responding to ecological disasters and environmental damage in Pondok Kelapa II Village, Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was chosen to explain the efforts made by the Lemau River Women's Group in advocating for environmental protection as a response to influence public policy and save the village's coastal area. The research data were collected through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then the data analysis stage was carried out. The results showed that the efforts made by women's groups in responding to ecological disasters include: non-litigation environmental advocacy as an attempt to influence policies that are environmentally sound and gender-responsive are still being fought for by women's groups today, other initiatives are efforts to adapt and mitigate ecological disasters carried out by groups by switching jobs to find alternative sources of income or economy from the previous way of utilizing marine products, then some initiatives have been carried out by women's groups by planting mangroves which aim to be an ecosystem rehabilitation action for further response to mitigate disasters and save the village coastal area. This research concludes that environmentally conscious women have become a pressure group for public policies that are not ecologically sound and have an impact on the ecological, and socio-economic conditions of the community. Women's groups are also at the forefront of responding to ecological disasters and environmental damage through disaster adaptation and mitigation efforts.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach conducted from March to April 2025. It explores the development of Melinggih Kelod Tourism Village in Payangan District, Gianyar Regency, through the Pentahelix approach involving government, academics, business actors, local communities, and media. The research methods include observation, document study, and interviews, utilizing both primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques employed purposive sampling, selecting participants who were deemed representative of the research population. Interviews were conducted with 20 individuals, including community leaders, the head of the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis), members of the youth community (sekeha truna and truni), tourism entrepreneurs in Melinggih Kelod Tourism Village, academics from the Bali Tourism Polytechnic, and digital marketing experts. The data analysis technique includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification, based on the theory of Miles and Huberman. The research findings indicate that the implementation of this model contributes to an increase in tourist numbers, community involvement in the tourism sector, and village economic growth, particularly through community-based enterprises such as homestays, culinary ventures, and cultural attractions found in Melinggih Kelod Tourism Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency.Theoretical support from Collaborative Governance, Social Capital Theory, Diffusion of Innovation, and Sustainability Theory emphasizes that synergy among various stakeholders plays a role in strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of the tourism village. Despite challenges such as limited infrastructure, the status of the village as an Independent Tourism Village demonstrates that community-based management, supported by innovation and sustainable empowerment, can enhance community welfare while preserving local culture.

Abstract

Landslides often occur in areas with steep topography and unstable geology. Mojo District, particularly the slopes of Mount Wilis, is a landslide-prone area influenced by slope steepness and land use changes. This study analyzes the main factors contributing to landslides using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and vulnerability mapping based on Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). The five main parameters used include slope steepness, soil texture, rainfall, geology, and land use. The AHP weighting results indicate slope steepness as the dominant factor (weight 0.40), followed by soil texture with a value of 0.25, rainfall 0.15, geology 0.12, and land use 0.08. The vulnerability index map is divided into three classes: low, moderate, and high. Validation using data from 13 actual landslide events shows high spatial consistency, particularly in the southwestern and central regions of Mojo District, which experience high rainfall and sandy clay soils that are less stable. The final results of this study can serve as a basis for landslide disaster mitigation efforts and spatial planning in landslide-prone areas.

Abstract

The Perang Obor tradition in Jepara is one of the local cultural heritages that contains spiritual, symbolic and community identity values. This research aims to explore and transform the visual and philosophical elements of the tradition into contemporary furniture design in the form of a coffee table. The approach used is culture-based design with the application of the ATUMICS (artifact, technique, utility, material, icon, concept, shape) analysis method as a systematic framework in the design process. Data was obtained through visual observation of the implementation of traditions, documentation of cultural elements, and literature studies on symbolic values and product design aspects. The analysis process was conducted to determine the elements of tradition that can be maintained, modified, or eliminated in the realization of modern design. The results show that the main symbol in the form of a torch can be interpreted visually through the shape of table legs, decorative patterns, and a combination of materials such as wood and rattan that represent the flame and simplicity of local values. The final design not only fulfills functional and aesthetic aspects, but also conveys a strong cultural narrative, making the furniture a medium of preservation and expression of Jepara's cultural identity. This innovation proves that the ATUMICS method is effective in integrating traditional heritage into modern, contextually relevant design products. The design results also have the potential to expand the scope of culture-based design in the local creative industry that is oriented towards the preservation of traditional values.

Abstract

This study analyzes the inability of “peasant organization” to control irrigation resources in rural-urban areas. Water disputes have arisen among peasants in rural-urban areas due to their limited capacity to organize themselves and manage available resources. This research seeks to examine the weaknesses in the role of peasant organizations in coordinating the use of irrigation resources. This study is a qualitative research using case study approach, focusing on Bayen sub-village, District of Sleman Special Region of Yogyakarta. The data collection process was done via in-depth interviews, documentation techniques, and field observation. The analyst’s work progressed from study preparation to data verification and conclusion. The research reveals that elite peasants have become central actors in water disputes, undermining the effectiveness of peasant organizations. Furthermore, both local and village governments fail to adequately support these organizations due to budgetary constraints and limited policymaking capacity. The “peasant organization” also does not have sufficient capacity to coordinate with other peasants in many different areas surrounding Bayen sub-village. The study shows that the bad condition of irrigation in Bayen sub-village is related to the lack of capacity of peasants to negotiate with different actors that have many different interests. Urban economic expansion led to the establishment of an ice factory, disrupting peasant irrigation systems. The toll road project, a consequence of urban economic expansion, has also disrupted irrigation systems in the region. As a result of these problems, the peasants, together with the head of Bayen sub-village, can only promote the use of toll drainage as an emergency irrigation measure.

Abstract

The development of the Nongsa Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Batam City is aimed at becoming a strategic hub for digital economy growth and creative industries. However, its implementation faces serious governance challenges, such as overlapping authority between the Batam City Government and the Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority (BP Batam), inadequate supporting infrastructure, and low stakeholder engagement. This study aims to analyze the collaborative governance model in the management of the Nongsa SEZ using the framework of Ansell and Gash, which consists of four core components: starting conditions, institutional design, facilitative leadership, and the collaborative process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, utilizing in-depth interviews, document analysis, and participatory observation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal four main issues: power imbalances, exclusivity in institutional design, weak facilitative leadership, and suboptimal collaborative processes. These factors hinder the development of inclusive and sustainable collaboration. This study offers practical contributions by proposing a participatory collaborative forum and academic contributions by enriching the literature on collaborative governance in digital economy-oriented SEZ development in Indonesia. This study concludes that the governance of the Nongsa SEZ has not yet fully met the prerequisites for effective collaboration as defined by Ansell and Gash. Strengthening formal collaborative forums, enhancing the capacity of local actors, and aligning regulations across government levels are necessary to support participatory, integrated, and sustainable SEZ governance.

Abstract

In the competitive insurance industry, agent performance is a key factor in achieving company success. Various factors can affect an agent's performance, including motivation, self-efficacy, and the reward system implemented by the company. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and reward on the performance of insurance agents of PT. Prudential Pruaini Medan Branch, with motivation as a mediation variable. Using a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to 60 agents using a non-probability sampling method and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results of the study show that self-efficacy has a significant influence on the motivation and performance of agents. Giving rewards has a positive effect on motivation, but does not have a direct effect on performance. Interestingly, motivation was shown to significantly mediate the relationship between self-efficacy and rewarding and agent performance. This study confirms that intrinsic factors (self-efficacy) and extrinsic (reward) factors contribute significantly in improving the motivation and performance of insurance agents. The practical implication of this research is the need to develop training programs to increase self-efficacy as well as performance-based reward systems to increase agent effectiveness.

Abstract

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is a key government body in Indonesia that oversees the insurance sector and all other financial service providers by creating a unified regulatory and supervisory framework. The OJK has the authority to initiate insolvency actions against insurance businesses as part of its insurance sector regulation. Insuring policyholders' interests is the primary goal of these procedures. The purpose of this research is to examine how the OJK protects policyholders' rights when insurance firms declare bankruptcy. In order to provide a thorough analysis and in-depth understanding of the topic, the study employs a qualitative, descriptive-analytical methodology. The study employs secondary data, which encompasses both primary and secondary legal sources, in line with the normative legal research technique. The findings indicate that the OJK's efforts to provide legal protection for policyholders, particularly in cases of insurance claim rejections, are guided by key principles such as transparency, fair treatment, justice, confidentiality, data security, and effective complaint handling. The OJK's role in legal protection encompasses both preventive and repressive measures. Preventive actions include regulation, supervision, guidance, socialization, and complaint services, while repressive measures involve litigation, non-litigation resolution, and the imposition of administrative sanctions.

Abstract

Stocks have become an investment instrument that has been used by the public. One of the stocks that is in demand is the banking sector. The banking sector is considered to have the ability to survive all conditions because the banking sector is the driving force of the economy. To assess whether a bank's stock is in good condition, you can pay attention to its financial ratios such as Return of Equity (ROE), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR). This study aims to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effect of ROE, CAR and LDR on stock prices. This study was conducted on banking companies listed in the Infobank15 index in the period 2020 to 2022. The sampling method used probability sampling and the SPSS application. The results of the study showed that Return of Equity had a positive and significant effect on banking stock prices. Then the results of the study on the effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio also showed positive and significant results. However, the results of the Loan to Deposit Ratio study showed a negative and significant effect on banking stock prices. Then the size of the company as a control variable showed positive and significant results in controlling the effect of ROE, CAR and LDR on stock prices so as to avoid bias. The theoretical implication of this research is that it is able to support and add to the scientific treasury, especially signal theory. Meanwhile, the practical implication of this research is for investors and the public to pay more attention to banking financial ratios when considering investing in banking stocks.

Abstract

This study aims to design and evaluate a digital marketing campaign strategy using the AISAS model (Attention, Interest, Search, Action, Share) to increase brand awareness of UD. Sarjana Buah 88, a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) operating in the traditional fruit market in Yogyakarta. As social media usage continues to rise, conventional marketing strategies have become less effective, requiring adaptive approaches aligned with current digital consumer behavior. Descriptive qualitative method was employed, utilizing observation, interviews, documentation, and Instagram content analysis as data collection techniques. Visual content was developed based on each AISAS stage and implemented during a one-month campaign period. The success of the strategy measured using digital metrics such as increased viewers, profile visits, engagement rate, and positive interactions including comments and content saves. Survey results showed that product labeling influenced consumer interest, and visual design played a significant role in purchase decisions. The findings demonstrate that the AISAS-based strategy effectively captured attention, built interest, encouraged information-seeking behavior, triggered actions, and motivated users share their experiences. This campaign not only enhanced brand visibility and audience engagement of UD. Sarjana Buah 88 but also offers a replicable digital marketing framework for other MSMEs transitioning from conventional to digital systems.
