Abstract

The germination process is the key to plant phenology, which significantly influences the success of early plant growth. Some seeds have a dormancy, so the germination process is hampered or does not occur. However, dormancy-breaking treatments in plants have been widely reported, such as breaking the dormancy of sugar palm seeds through physical scarification. This research aims to determine the best scarification position to break the dormancy of sugar palm seeds. This research was carried out at the Seed Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Andalas from July to October 2023. The design was completely randomized with scarification in two position variations, the operculum (A1) and dorsal (A2) points, repeated thrice. The results showed that the position of seed scarification affected the emergence time of cotyledon petioles and coleoptiles, germination capacity, and seed moisture content. Scarification at the operculum point requires a dormancy break of 16 DAP (Days After Planting) compared to 29 DAP for the dorsal. Seed viability was good in seeds sacrificed at the operculum point, with a germination percentage of 81.94%. Keywords: dorsal, operculum, cotyledon petiole

Abstract

Moringa leaves are a type of forage that is included in the legume group which is consumed by livestock, especially ruminants. The nutritional content contained in Moringa oleifera leaves, such as protein, vitamins, minerals and fiber, is considered capable of improving livestock performance in terms of increasing ration efficiency, growth performance, reproductive performance and general livestock health. The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of Moringa leaf infusion (IDK) supplementation on the performance of Etawa crossbreed goats (PE). The experiment was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consist of P0; 100% Aquades, P1; 5% IDK, P2; 10% IDK, P3: 15% IDK, and P4; 20% IDK. The results showed that Moringa leaf supplementation showed significantly different results in body weight gain (P<0.05), feed consumption level (P<0.05) and feed conversion level (P<0.05). Keywords: PE Goat, Moringa Leaf Infusion (IDK), and Performance INTISARI Daun kelor adalah jenis hijauan yang termasuk dalam kelompok legume yang telah dikonsumsi oleh ternak khususnya pada ternak ruminansia. Kandungan nutrisi yang terdapat pada daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) seperti protein, vitamin, mineral serta serat yang dianggap mampu meningkatkan performance ternak dalam hal peningkatan efisiensi ransum, kinerja pertumbuhan, kinerja reproduksi serta kesehatan ternak secara umum. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas suplementasi infusa daun kelor (IDK) pada performance kambing peranakan etawa (PE). Percobaan dilakukan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan terdiri atas P0; 100% Aquades, P1; 5% IDK, P2; 10% IDK, P3: 15% IDK, dan P4; 20% IDK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi daun kelor menunjukkan hasil berbeda nyata pada, pertambahan bobot badan (P<0,05), tingkat konsumsi pakan (P<0,05) dan tingkat konversi pakan (P<0,05). Kata Kunci : Kambing PE, Infusa Daun Kelor (IDK), dan Performa

Abstract

Tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum L.) are shrub-shaped annuals classified as vegetables and fruits, belonging to the Solanaceae family. This study aims to evaluate the effect of onion skin fertilizer and coconut pulp on the growth and yield of tomato plants, especially in terms of plant height, number of leaves, and flowering age. The research was conducted from December to March 2024 in East Sampean Village. The research method used was a factorial randomized group design (RAK) with two main factors. The first factor is the dose of coconut pulp fertilizer with three levels: A0 as control, A1 with a dose of 75 gr/plant, and A2 with a dose of 150 gr/plant. The second factor is the dose of shallot skin fertilizer with three levels: B0 as control, B1 with a dose of 100 ml/plant, and B2 with a dose of 200 ml/plant. The results showed a significant interaction between the treatment of shallot skin fertilizer and coconut pulp on plant height, number of leaves, and flowering age. Giving a combination of shallot skin fertilizer and coconut pulp at a dose of B2A2 (200 ml and 150 g) gives optimal results in increasing plant height, number of leaves, and accelerating the flowering process in tomato plants.Keywords : coconut dregs fertilizer; onion skin fertilizer; tomatoes. INTISARITomat (Lycopersicum esculentum L.) adalah tanaman semusim berbentuk perdu yang diklasifikasikan sebagai sayuran dan buah, termasuk dalam keluarga Solanaceae. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pupuk kulit bawang merah dan ampas kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat, khususnya dalam hal tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan umur berbunga. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari bulan Desember hingga Maret 2024 di Desa Sampean Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan dua faktor utama. Faktor pertama adalah dosis pupuk ampas kelapa dengan tiga taraf: A0 sebagai kontrol, A1 dengan dosis 75 g/tanaman, dan A2 dengan dosis 150 g/tanaman. Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk kulit bawang merah dengan tiga taraf: B0 sebagai kontrol, B1dengan dosis 100 ml/tanaman, dan B2 dengan dosis 200 ml/tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya interaksi yang signifikan antara perlakuan pupuk kulit bawang merah dan ampas kelapa terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan umur berbunga. Pemberian kombinasi pupuk kulit bawang merah dan ampas kelapa dengan dosis B2A2 (200 ml dan 150 g) memberikan hasil yang optimal dalam meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan mempercepat proses berbunga pada tanaman tomat. Kata kunci : pupuk kulit bawang merah, pupuk ampas kelapa, tomat.

Abstract

The concept of urban farming, such as microgreens, as an effort to increase indoor plant cultivation, can be a solution to land problems. This research was carried out to determine the response of providing long periods of LED lighting and different types of planting media on the growth and production of red spinach microgreens (Amaranthus tricolor L.). The method used in this research is an experimental method with a Split Plot Design (Split plot or ) which consists of two factors, namely the length of exposure of the LED lights as the main plot with 4 levels including 14 hours of exposure, 16 hours of exposure, 18 hours of light, and 20 hours of light and types of planting media as sub plots with 4 levels including cocopeat, zeolite, malang sand and husk charcoal which was carried out with 3 repetitions . The results showed that there was an interaction between alignment time and planting media on the observation parameters of plant height, wet weight, wet crown weight and root length, while the number of leaves was not significantly different. Key-words: long exposure time, planting media, red spinach microgreen INTISARIKonsep urban farming seperti microgreens sebagai salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan budidaya tanaman dilakukan secara indoor, dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dari permasalahan lahan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui respons pemberian lama penyinaran lampu LED dan jenis media tanam yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi microgreens bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor L.). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split plot) atau yang terdiri dari dua faktor, yaitu lama penyinaran lampu LED sebagai main plot dengan 4 taraf, yaitu 14 jam penyinaran, 16 jam penyinaran, 18 jam penyinaran, dan 20 jam penyinaran dan jenis media tanam sebagai sub plot dengan 4 taraf , yaitu cocopeat,  zeolite, pasir malang, dan arang sekam yang   dilakukan dengan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi interaksi antara lama penyinaran dan media tanam pada parameter pengamatan tinggi tanaman, bobot basah, bobot basah tajuk, dan panjang akar sedangkan pada jumlah daun tidak berbeda nyata. Kata kunci : lama penyinaran, media tanam, microgreen bayam merah

Abstract

Areca palm plants in Kubu Raya Regency have the advantage of being an export commodity. The aim of this research is to develop a strategy by identifying key factors in the development of areca nut commodities in Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency. The research method was carried out using a survey method. Data collection method using FGD. The analysis method uses SWOT. The research results show that the potential for areca nut development is strong, supported by the availability of suitable land. farmer motivation, available labor and superior varieties. Abstract

The aim of this study was to study the effect of plant spacing and variations of inorganic fertilizers on the biomass, chlorophyll, and relative moisture content of shallots in the vegetative growth phase. The research was conducted in May–June 2023 in Plembuatan Village, Playen District, Gunungkidul Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta. The study used a Complete Factorial Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. The first factor is the spacing (J), consisting of: J1 = 10x10 cm2, J2 = 10x15 cm2, J3 = 10x20 cm2, and J4 = 15x15 cm2. The second factor is the variation of inorganic fertilizers consisting of: N1 = basic fertilize of NPK Phonska r 250 kg/ha, SP-36 150 kg/ha, follow-up I and II NPK Phonska 75 kg/ha, N2 = basic fertilizer of NPK Phonska 250 kg/ha, SP -36 150 kg/ha, follow-up I and II urea 25 kg/ha, N3 = basic fertilizer of NPK Phonska 400 kg/ha, SP-36 150 kg/ha, follow-up I and II urea 25 kg/ha, and N4 = basic fertilizer of NPK phonska 250 kg/ha, SP-36 150 kg/ha, follow-up I and II urea 25 kg/ha and KCl 18.75 kg/ha. The results showed that the spacing treatment and fertilizer variation significantly interacted with the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, oven dry weight per clump, chlorophyll a content, chlorophyll b content, total chlorophyll content and relative moisture content of leaf aged 4 WAP, but did not significantly interact with fresh weight per clump. The increase in plant spacing and variations in inorganic fertilizers did not significantly affect plant height, number of leaves and wet weight per clump. Keywords: Biomass, Chlorophyll, and Inorganic Fertilizers INTISARIPenelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh jarak tanam dan variasi pupuk anorganik terhadap biomasa, klorofil, dan kadar air relatif daun bawang merah pada fase pertumbuhan vegetatif. Faktor kedua  variasi pupuk anorganik terdiri : N1 =  Pupuk dasar NPK phonska 250 kg/ha, SP-36 150 kg/ha, susulan I dan II  NPK Phonska 75 kg/ha, N2 =  Pupuk dasar NPK phonska 250 kg/ha, SP-36 150 kg/ha,  susulan I dan II   urea 25 kg/ha, N3 =  Pupuk dasar NPK phonska 400 kg/ha, SP-36 150 kg/ha, susulan I dan II  urea 25 kg/ha,  dan N4 =  Pupuk dasar NPK phonska 250 kg/ha, SP-36 150 kg/ha, susulan I dan II urea 25 kg/ha dan KCl 18,75 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan perlakuan jarak tanam dan variasi pupuk nyata berinteraksi terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bobot kering oven per rumpun, kandungan klorofil a, kandungan klorofil b, kandungan klorofil total dan kadar air relatif daun bawang umur 4 MST, tetapi tidak nyata berinteraksi terhadap bobot basah per rumpun. Peningkatan jarak tanam maupun variasi pupuk anorganik tidak nyata mempengaruhi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan bobot basah per rumpun. Kata Kunci : Biomasa, Klorofil, dan Pupuk Anorganik.

Abstract

Red Yellow Podsolid (RYP) Soil has several properties that are less supportive for the growth and high yields of mustard greens (Brassica Juncea L). Soil properties such as nutrient content, organic matter and cation exchange capacity are very low. This research aims to examine the effect of adding N, P and K elements in granular organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of curly mustard greens in the RYP soil. The treatment  consisted of five treatments and was repeated five times so that there were 25 experimental units. The details of the treatment are as follows: Control (without applying fertilizer), Giving organic granule fertilizer, Giving organic granule fertilizer with a ratio of NPK (10 : 5 : 5), Giving organic granule fertilizer with a ratio of NPK (5 : 10 : 5), Giving organic fertilizer granules with NPK ratio (5 : 5 : 10). Providing N, P and K fertilizer at higher phosphorus doses was able to increase the growth of mustard plants by observing stem diameter by 38.84%, root fresh weight by 5.71% and plant fresh weight by 37.21%.Keywords: curly mustard greens, granulated organic fertilizer, RYP soil INTISARI            Tanah Podsolid Merah Kuning mempunyai beberapa sifat yang kurang mendukung untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi (Brassica Juncea L) yang tinggi. Sifat tanah seperti bersifat masam, kandungan unsur hara dan bahan organik dan kapasitas tukar kation juga sangat rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan unsur N, P dan K dalam pupuk organik granul pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman Sawi Keriting di tanah PMK. Perlakuan terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak lima kali sehingga ada 25 unit percobaan. Rincian perlakuannya sebagai berikut: Kontrol (tanpa pemberian pupuk), Pemberian pupuk organik granul, Pemberian pupuk organik granul dengan perbandingan NPK (10 : 5 : 5), Pemberian pupuk organik granul dengan perbandingan NPK (5 : 10 : 5), Pemberian pupuk organik granul dengan perbandingan NPK (5 : 5 : 10). Pemberian pupuk N, P dan K pada dosis fosfor yang lebih tinggi mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman sawi pada pengamatan diameter batang sebesar 38,84%, bobot segar akar sebesar 5,71% dan bobot segar tanaman sebesar 37,21%. Kata kunci : pupuk organik granul, sawi kriting, tanah PMK

Abstract

MD2 and Josapine pineapple are hybrid pineapples. The Josapine pineapple variety has the advantage of having thornless leaves. This study aims to identify the quality values of MD2 and Josapine pineapples with different peeling times in a closed room. This research was carried out on September 19 2023 at the Lepas Tuai Malaysian Agriculture Research and Development Institute (MARDI) Complex in Serdang Selangor, Malaysia. The main ingredients used in this research were MD2 pineapple and Josapine which were obtained from a fruit shop in Serdang Selangor, Malaysia. The tools used in this research were digital scales, blenders, thermometers, measuring cups, Erlenmeyer, spatulas, funnels, glass jars, knives, gloves, chromameters, refractometers, pH meters, and viscometers. This research was conducted using an ordinary completely randomized design (CRD) with two replications and two treatments. All data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and further analysis using the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) using the SAS program. The results of the analysis of variance showed that differences in pineapple peeling times gave significantly different results in the color of the pineapple skin, thus influencing differences in pineapple quality on the zeroth day (D0) and the third day (D3). The next difference is in the pH and TTA (Titratable Acidity) content of MD2 pineapple which is significantly different from Josapine pineapple in the pineapple quality test treatment on day zero (D0) and day three (D3). Keywords: pineapple, quality, content, color INTISARINanas MD2 dan Josapine merupakan nanas hybrid. Varietas nanas Josapine memiliki keunggulan daunnya tidak berduri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai kualitas nanas MD2 dan Josapine dengan waktu pengupasan yang berbeda pada ruangan tertutup. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan tanggal 19 September 2023 di Kompleks Lepas Tuai   Malaysian Agriculture Research and Development Institute (MARDI) di Serdang Selangor, Malaysia. Bahan utama yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah nanas MD2 dan Josapine yang didapatkan dari toko buah yang ada di Serdang Selangor Malaysia. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah timbangan digital, blender, termometer, gelas ukur, erlenmeyer, spatula, corong, toples kaca, pisau, sarung tangan, chromameter, refraktometer, pH meter, dan viscometer. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) biasa dengan dua      ulangan dan dua pelakuan. Semua data dianalisis mennggunakan analisis varians (ANOVA) dan analisis selanjutnya menggunakan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) dengan menggunakan program SAS. Hasil analisis ragam   menunjukkan perbedaan waktu pengupasan buah nanas memberikan hasil yang berbeda nyata pada warna kulit buah nanas sehingga memengaruhi perbedaan kualitas nanas pada pengupasan hari ke-nol (D0) dan hari ke-tiga (D3). Perbedaan selanjutnya terdapat pada pH dan kandungan TTA  (Titratable Acidity) nanas MD2 yang berbeda nyata dengan nanas Josapine pada perlakuan uji kualitas nanas pada pengupasan hari ke-nol (D0) dan pengupasan hari ke-tiga (D3). Kata kunci : nanas, kualitas, kandungan, warna

Abstract

This research aims to determine the agronomic characteristics and Brix levels of three sorghum varieties (Sorghun bicolor (L.) Moench) at several growth phases. The research method uses an experimental method with a factorial completely randomized design (CRD), namely the first factor is variety and the second factor is growth phase. The experiment was carried out in the Glasshouse, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram from May to September 2023. There were 9 treatment combinations, repeated 3 times, so there were 27 experimental units. Observation parameters include plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, sugar content (brix), dry stover weight and sorghum yield and yield components. Data were analyzed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) Honestly Significant Difference (BNJ) test at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that plant height, sugar content (brix), dry stover weight were significantly different between sorghum varieties, but the number of leaves and stem diameter were not significantly different (non-significant). The parameters of plant height, sugar content (brix), and dry stover weight of the three varieties were significantly different between growth phase treatments, while the number of leaves and stem diameter were not significantly different. All observed parameters were not significantly influenced by the interaction between variety factors and growth phase. Keywords: agronomic characters;brix content; growth phase, sorghum varietiesINTISARIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakter agronomi dan kadar brix tiga varietas sorgum (Sorghun bicolor (L.) Moench) pada beberapa fase pertumbuhan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial, yaitu faktor pertama varietas dan faktor kedua fase pertumbuhan. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Glasshouse Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Mataram dari bulan Mei sampai September 2023. Terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan, diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga terdapat 27 unit percobaan. Parameter pengamatan meliputi karakter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, kadar gula (brix), bobot brangkasan kering serta hasil dan komponen hasil sorgum. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ) pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tinggi tanaman, kadar gula (brix), berat brangkasan kering berbeda nyata antar-varietas sorgum, namun jumlah daun dan diameter batang tidak berberbeda nyata (non signifikan). Parameter tinggi tanaman, kadar gula (brix), dan bobot brangkasan kering dari ketiga vrietas berbeda nyata antar-perlakuan fase pertumbuhan, sedangkan jumlah daun dan diameter batang tidak berbeda nyata. Semua parameter pengamatan tidak dipengaruhi secara nyata oleh interaksi antara faktor varietas dan fase pertumbuhan.Kata kunci: fase pertumbuhan; kadar brix; karakter agronomi; sorgum

Abstract

Increasing public awareness of the importance of quality of life and health has become a business opportunity for organic food products. Organic food provider business units must develop their business through marketing mix management. This research aims to determine the effect of the marketing mix, including development, price, place, and promotion, on consumer satisfaction of Tani Organik Merapi's organic vegetables. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used snowball sampling with a sample size of 80 respondents. The data collection technique uses an online questionnaire, and the analysis method uses multiple linear regression. The research results show that product, location, and promotion variables positively affect consumer satisfaction with TOM organic vegetables, while the price variable has no effect. To increase consumer satisfaction with organic vegetables, TOM as a business unit can increase the variety of Tani Organik Merapi's organic vegetable products according to consumer needs and desires, optimize promotions through online media, and expand the collaboration network with supermarkets and other stores that have locations that strategic, comfortable, and accessible to consumers. Keywords: marketing mix, organic vegetables, consumer satisfaction INTISARIMeningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya kualitas hidup dan kesehatan menjadi peluang bisnis produk pangan organik. Penting bagi unit bisnis penyedia pangan organik untuk mengembangkan bisnisnya melalui pengelolaan bauran pemasaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bauran pemasaran yang meliputi produk, harga, tempat, promosi pada kepuasan konsumen sayuran organik Tani Organik Merapi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan snowball sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 80 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner online, dan metode analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel produk, lokasi, dan promosi berpengaruh positif pada kepuasan konsumen sayuran organik TOM, sedangkan variabel harga tidak berpengaruh. Untuk meningkatkan kepuasan konsumen sayuran organik, TOM sebagai unit bisnis dapat melakukan peningkatan variasi produk sayuran organik Tani Organik Merapi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen,  optomalisasi promosi melalui media online, serta memperluas jaringan kerjasama dengan supermarket, swalayan, maupun toko lainnya yang memiliki lokasi strategis, nyaman, dan dapat dijangkau oleh konsumen.Kata Kunci : bauran pemasaran, sayuran organik, kepuasan konsumen
