Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure, dividend policy on firm value in companies listed on the LQ 45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with Profitability as an intervening variable. This study uses secondary data with purposive sampling method. The sample of this research is 25 companies with the amount of data observed is 125 data. The hypothesis test used in this study is Path Analysis with IBM SPSS software version 25. The results of this study indicate that (1) Partially, the capital structure and profitability variables have a direct influence, which means that they have a positive and significant effect on firm value in companies listed on the LQ 45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2014-2018 period. Meanwhile, the dividend policy does not have a direct and significant effect on the value of companies listed on the LQ 45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2014-2018 period. (2) Indirectly, the variables of capital structure and dividend policy have a significant effect on firm value through profitability as an intervening variable. Simultaneously, the variables of capital structure, dividend policy, and profitability have a significant effect on firm value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the effect of leadership style on employee performance and employee motivation at DR Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar. The research uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all employees of DR Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar, amounting to 548 people with a total sample of 84 respondents. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and path analysis with PLS 3.0 to analyze the direct and indirect effects on employee performance at DR Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar. The results of this study indicate that partially leadership style and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. While work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through work motivation as a mediating or intervening variable. This means that leadership style has a significant direct and indirect influence on employee performance at DR Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of macroeconomic conditions on earnings performance and financial distress in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange. Variables of macroeconomic conditions are measured by inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates. Profit performance variables are measured by Return on Assets (ROA), and Return on Equity (ROE). Financial distress variables are measured using the Altman Z-Score method. The population in this study is the food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the IDX, and the sampling method uses the purposive sampling method. Data sources in this study are secondary data collected by documentation techniques. This study uses descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach and uses path analysis techniques assisted with Eviews version 9. The results of the study show that (1) inflation and exchange rates have a negative and significant effect on ROA, while interest rates have a negative and not significant effect on ROA; (2) inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates have a negative and significant effect on ROE; (3) ROA and ROE have a negative and significant effect on financial distress; (4) inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates have a positive and significant effect on financial distress; (5) inflation and exchange rates have a positive and significant effect on financial distress through ROA, while interest rates have a positive and not significant effect on financial distress through ROA; (6) inflation, exchange rates and interest rates have a positive and significant effect on financial distress through ROE.

Abstract

The research aims to formulate strategies and policies as an effort to achieve the production targets set in the LTP (Long Term Plan) PG Takalar in 2021-2025. This goal is to support the optimization of the Takalar PG which is still possible to be increased, as well as to support the government's program to increase the domestic sugar supply, which is currently still experiencing a shortage. The research method was carried out by collecting data, interviews, and filling out questionnaires to PTPN XIV internals who understood the operations of PG Takalar. SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threaths) and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) methods were used as analytical tools in this study. The results showed that the priority strategies for increasing the productivity of the Takalar PG were the operational quality of the mill (smooth milling) and the increase in sugarcane land productivity (intensification). Meanwhile, policies to support the implementation of the two priority strategies are in the form of providing support for procurement of goods and services, working capital, operational supervision, assistance by experts, coordination, existing facilities and infrastructure, and human resource development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference between Stock Trading Volume, Abnormal Return, and Bid-Ask Spread Before and After Stock Split Events in Companies on the IDX. Data collection uses secondary data obtained through stock price movement data using purposive sampling technique. The population is all companies listed on the IDX that conducted a Stock Split for the 2018-2020 period of 23 companies, while the sample taken was 18 companies. Test the hypothesis using the Two-Mean Difference Test with the Paired Sample T-Test technique with an observation period of 5 weeks before and after the stock split. The results showed that the hypothesis proposed that the stock trading volume before and after the stock split found no significant difference.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial ratio analysis on firm value with financial distress as an intervening variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2020. This type of research is causal comparative. Sampling using proportional random sampling method, obtained a sample of 17 companies from 25 company populations with a total of 68 units of observation of analysis. Secondary data collection uses the technique of documenting the annual financial statements of IDX manufacturing companies published on the website www.idx.co.id. Methods of data analysis through classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test and mediation test with path analysis using Sobel test. The results showed that liquidity, solvency, profitability and financial distresss simultaneously and partially have an effect directly significant to the value of retail trading companies listed on the IDX liquidity, solvency and profitability variables have a significant effect on firm value retail trade listed on the IDX through financial distress as an intervening variable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of market orientation towards innovation, the effect of market orientation on business performance, the effect of innovation on the business performance and innovation mediating role of market orientation on business performance Culinary MSMEs in Makassar. This study took a sample of 36 respondents who market their product in Lego-Lego CPI city of Makassar. The analysis technique used in this study is the Partial Least Square (PLS), and Mediation / Intervening testing used Variance Accounted For (VAF). Results of market orientation hypothesis testing showed positive and significant impact on innovation, market orientation and insignificant positive effect on business performance, innovation and significant positive effect on business performance. Innovation is able to mediate the relationship of market orientation on business performance significantly. Employers culinary in Lego-Lego CPI Makassar should develop a culture of orientation on the market so as to boost innovation by adapting new ideas-oriented market changes in order to achieve improved business performance of the MSMEs during the pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

The right strategy is needed for the development efforts of a company. This research aims to identify the internal environment in the form of strengths and weaknesses that affect the development of foreign exchange bank services at Bank Sulselbar; Identifying the external environment in the form of opportunities and threats that affect the development of foreign exchange bank services at Bank Sulselbar, and analyze and formulate a strategy for the development of foreign exchange bank services at Bank Sulselbar. This research is designed with quantitative form and uses survey methods aimed at analyzing internal and external factors that can support the development of Bank Sulselbar as a Foreign Exchange Bank. The results showed the position of Bank Sulselbar's foreign exchange service development strategy was in Kuadaran I (first) which is an aggressive strategy by implementing the SO (Strenght-Opportunity) strategy. The aggressive strategy that is a priority in the development of foreign exchange services for Bank Sulselbar shows that with the support of shareholders, a strong network, and reliable technology, the development of Bank Sulselbar's foreign exchange services should be optimized so as to provide strategic value for the sustainability of Bank Sulselbar's business development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of motivation and job training on improving teacher competence and performance at "AAA" private school in Makassar City. The research used a quantitative approach. The populations were all teachers consisting of 90 people. The data were obtained through observation and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using path analysis. The results of the research indicate that (1) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on increasing teacher competence at "AAA" private school in Makassar City; (2) job training has a negative and insignificant effect on increasing teacher competence at "AAA" private school in Makassar City; (3) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance at "AAA" private school in Makassar City; (4) job training has a positive and insignificant effect on teacher performance at "AAA" private school in Makassar City; (5) teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on improving teacher performance at "AAA" private school in Makassar City; (6) work motivation indirectly has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance through teacher competence at "AAA" private school in Makassar City; (7) job training indirectly has a negative and insignificant effect on teacher performance through teacher competence at "AAA" private school in Makassar City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of social media and entrepreneurial knowledge on interest in entrepreneurship through business motivation in students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Hasanuddin University. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Economics and Business at Hasanuuddin University by taking information from students in 2018 using a questionnaire, with a total sample of 200 students. The data were analyzed using a quantitative approach and processed using the SPSS version 22 application. The results of this study indicate that social media has a significant effect on business motivation for economic and business faculty students, in contrast to entrepreneurial knowledge which has no significant effect on economic and business faculty students. Then the influence of social media, entrepreneurial knowledge and business motivation have a positive effect on business interest in economics and business faculty students. Then based on the results of the intervening the influence of social media and business knowledge has a significant effect on business interest through business motivation. This shows that students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Indonesian Muslim University have a high enthusiasm for entrepreneurship.
