PiJIES: PEDAGOGIK Journal of Islamic Elementary School is a peer-reviewed journal which is published by Prodi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah IAIN Palopo. This Journal publishes manuscripts on research in Islamic education and elementary school. PiJIES features research novelties and significance for science advancement in any new development and advancement in the field of education. The scope of our journal includes child development, cognitive psychology, social science, math and natural education to school learning and teaching. This Journal publishes current original research studies that contain data about school and classroom processes in elementary or middle schools while occasionally publishing integrative research reviews and in-depth conceptual analyses of schooling.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi integrasi nilai-nilai toleransi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya di SMP Negeri 1 Kotaagung Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari 1 orang guru PAI, waka kurikukulum dan 2 orang peserta didik kelas VII yang dipilih secara purposif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai toleransi dalam pembelajaran PAI telah dilaksanakan melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Nilai toleransi diintegrasikan dalam materi ajar serta diterapkan melalui metode diskusi, kerja kelompok, dan keteladanan guru. Namun, implementasinya belum sepenuhnya optimal karena belum seluruh peserta didik mampu menginternalisasi nilai toleransi secara konsisten. Faktor pendukung meliputi peran guru, metode pembelajaran, dan lingkungan sekolah, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan interaksi sosial peserta didik dan kurangnya pembiasaan sikap toleransi.

Abstract

Contemporary curriculum reforms, the increasing demand for pedagogical innovation, and the complexity of classroom realities have positioned teachers as central actors in Islamic elementary education. Yet pedagogical innovation is often discussed primarily in terms of new methods, digital tools, or instructional models, while the teacher’s professional capacity to interpret, negotiate, and enact curriculum expectations remains insufficiently theorized. This article aims to conceptualize teacher agency as a mediating capacity that connects curriculum demands with pedagogical innovation in Islamic elementary education. Employing library research with a conceptual review design, the study synthesizes recent scholarly literature on teacher agency, curriculum reform, pedagogical innovation, classroom realities, and Islamic education. The review indicates that teacher agency is not merely a matter of individual autonomy or creativity, but a reflective, ethical, and context-responsive professional capacity through which teachers translate curriculum expectations into meaningful, adaptive, value-oriented, and developmentally appropriate learning practices. The article concludes that strengthening teacher agency is essential for sustaining pedagogical innovation in Islamic elementary classrooms. Future empirical studies are recommended to examine how this conceptual framework operates in madrasah ibtidaiyah and Islamic elementary school contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang dihadapi murid disabilitas rungu dalam memahami materi bangun ruang, disebabkan oleh terbatasnya ketersediaan media pembelajaran yang mampu menyajikan visualisasi tiga dimensi dan memenuhi kebutuhan murid disabilitas rungu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis validitas media pembelajaran U-Geo AR pada materi bangun ruang yang diperuntukkan bagi murid disabilitas rungu. Pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi yang diberikan kepada tiga validator ahli, yaitu ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bidang disabilitas rungu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor validasi yang diperoleh dari ahli materi sebesar 97,3% dikategorikan sangat valid, skor yang diperoleh dari ahli media sebesar 80% dikategorikan valid, dan ahli bidang disabilitas rungu memberikan skor 80% dengan kategori valid. Rata-rata keseluruhan skor validasi 85,8% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran U-Geo AR berada pada kategori sangat valid dan dinilai layak untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap uji praktikalitas dan uji coba pengguna.
