Abstract

This article aims to explain the significance of religious moderation education in strengthening the character of national insight to maintain plurality in Indonesia. This article uses a qualitative approach by applying descriptive-analytical method, which is trying to critically describe the substance of various concepts and theories related to religious moderation. Data collection was analyzed using the content analysis method, namely by analyzing the meaning contained in the concept of religious moderation and how the concept is implemented in the life of Indonesian society. The concept of religious moderation is an approach in religious education that aims to produce individuals who are tolerant, able to dialogue, respect diversity, and able to maintain peace and security in a society of diverse beliefs.  It cannot be denied that religious extremism is often caused by an extreme mindset in understanding religious texts in a rigid, textual and scripturalist manner, without considering historical dynamics, social context, and maqashid in religion.

Abstract

This research focuses on looking at the urgency of Islamic education in expanding understanding of maqashid sharia in the concept of ushul fiqh, Islamic education is important for expanding understanding of maslahah and mafsadah in legal istinbath methodology, and describes the methods proposed by Izzudin to resolve the contradiction between maslahah and sorry. This research includes qualitative research which is descriptive analysis with a logical and historical philosophical approach. The data collection technique used is library research. The primary source for this research refers to the book Qawaid al-Ahkam fi Masalih al-Anam and the book Syajarat al-Ma'arif wa al-Ahwal wa Salih al-Aqwal wa al-A'mal. These findings explain that the concepts of maslahah and mafsadah in Islamic law will become more optimal if their understanding is strengthened and disseminated through Islamic education, especially those closely related to maqashid sharia. Maslahah supports the objectives of sharia in kulliyah khamsah, while mafsadah contradicts it. Proposals to reconstruct maqashid sharia independently of kulliyah khamsah were rejected because they usually only combined or complemented existing principles. Maslahah and mafsadah are important elements in Islamic legal istinbath, and must be managed within the framework of sharia dhawabith to avoid subjectivity and legal instability. Izzudin offers four methods to resolve the contradiction between maslahah and mafsadah, namely jam'u (merging), tarjih (weighing), takhyir (selection), or tawaqquf (termination). He emphasized that the contradiction between these two concepts is often only relative and depends on perspective, suggesting to assess the dominance of one aspect over the other in a given situation. This will of course be more optimal if it is conveyed and emphasized through the participation of Islamic education, so that discussions related to tarjih maslahah on mafsadah, especially in the study of Islamic law will become more interesting and developed.

Abstract

The issues faced by students at IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua in Shariah academic learning include low grades in courses containing materials on Shariah contract calculations, such as Islamic financial accounting and banking practices, due to the diverse nature of Shariah contracts. The research employed the ADDIE development model for its design. In the development phase, the sustainability aspect of the application takes center stage. Interactive features, particularly in the Shariah contract calculator menu, serve as key elements to ensure user engagement. The integration of multimedia elements, including video tutorials and calculation simulations, enriches the learning experience. During the evaluation phase, updates based on user feedback are implemented to address potential shortcomings, supporting the transformation of the Parscel Application into an effective Shariah academic learning resource. In the context of instructional media feasibility, involving respondents from various backgrounds, including students, enhances the representativeness of evaluation results. Strengthening evaluation aspects, such as incorporating feedback mechanisms in each module, is implemented to enhance understanding of Shariah contract concepts. With this approach, the Parscel Application continues to be enhanced in accordance with quality standards and student learning needs

Abstract

The need to understand how Islamic principles and self-regulated learning (SRL) interact, particularly in the context of the learning experiences of prospective college lecturers, as well as how gender differences in self-regulated learning practices among prospective college lecturers can be addressed. By understanding this, we can develop effective strategies and interventions to support their professional development and enhance the quality of teaching and learning in higher education institutions. This research utilizes a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Islamic self-regulated learning (SRL) is pivotal in shaping the educational landscape, particularly concerning prospective college lecturers and their gender dynamics within Islamic frameworks. Both men and women engage in self-awareness and intention setting, aligning their educational pursuits with Islamic principles. Goal setting extends beyond academia, encompassing spiritual and moral aspirations, tailored to their respective roles in the community. While monitoring progress and adjusting strategies are inherent, gendered approaches emerge influenced by societal norms. Seeking guidance from Islamic sources is universal, yet interpretations may diverge based on gender roles and cultural contexts. Integration of Islamic values into teaching underscores their shared commitment, albeit through nuanced expressions shaped by individual experiences and perspectives.
