Abstract

Classroom action research aims to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes in the Faraidh material fiqh lessons. The research location is MTS. Medan PAI in class IX. This research was conducted in 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. The results showed an increase in student learning from Cycle I, II, III. Research results show that in Cycle I: Scores of 90-100 (30%), 80-89 (50%), 70-79 (10%), 60-69 (10%), <59 (0%), At Cycle II, Score Range 90-100 (40%), 80-89 (40%), 70-79 (15%), 60-69 (5%), <59 (0%), In Cycle III. Scores of 90-100 (60%), 80-89 (40%), 70-79 (0%), 60-69 (0%), <59 (0%). The results of the study also showed that there was an increase in students' thinking skills which was characterized by several indicators namely Find and formulate problems, Analyzing problems, Expressing criticism and ideas, Presentation of solutions.

Abstract

Cultivating worship habits in children in a minority environment is certainly not easy. Because minority conditions are correlated with a minimal amount of worship activity, the outcome is certainly on the impact of the reduced motivation to worship in children. This study aims to (1) determine the strategies carried out by parents in instilling worship habits in children, in the Desa Kuta Gugung Kec. Namanteran Kab. Karo, (2) Knowing the factors that influence the difficulty of instilling worship habits in children in the Desa Kuta Gugung Kec. Namanteran Kab. Karo. The method used in this research is the qualitative method, with a case study approach. The results of this study indicate that the strategies used in inculcating worship habits to children are (1) exemplary, (2) Magrib Mengaji Program, (3) attending joint study, (4) practicing it with the activity sunnah, (4) instilling religious traditions. While the factors of difficulty in instilling worship habits in children are (1) the number of minority Muslims, (2) the lack of religious knowledge, (3) the eruption of Gugung Sinabung disaster.

Abstract

Implementation of family-based character education is not an easy thing for parents to do. Because, after Covid-19, many young people, especially high school students, have been poisoned by online games. Nowadays, almost all young people have gadgets and many of them use it incorrectly so that it affects behavior change. This study aimed to: 1. Find out how parents implement character education for the younger generation in Lau Gumba Village, Berastagi District, Karo Regency. 2. Knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing family-based character education for the younger generation. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study indicated the implementation of family-based character education in Lau Gumba Village, namely: 1. Parents exemplified the spirit of work and responsibility. 2. Parents Cultivated humility. 3. Parents became example in carrying out religious worship. The supporting factors were a strong spirit and motivation in educating children, while the inhibiting factor was a lack of understanding of character education in the family.Keywords: Implementation, Character Education, Family Based

Abstract

Contemporary da'wah strategy is not easy to do by preachers, especially in the midle of minority communities and religious understanding is still very low. The da'i need intelligence so that there is no horizontal conflict. This study aimed to find out how contemporary da'wah strategies were in fostering religious life and the supporting factors and difficulties of contemporary da'wah strategies in fostering community life in Lau Gumba Village, Berastagi District, Karo Regency. This research method were Field Research (field study) and Library Research (library study). The field method was done by interview technique while the library method was based on primary data. The results of the research showed that the strategies used were: 1. Preaching through media and tools, such as used inFocus and PowerPoint slides to make it easier for people to understand the material. 2. Approached to religious leaders, village heads and customs with the understanding of religious moderation that upholded the values of religious tolerance. The difficulty in this strategy was : the understanding of religion was still low, while the supporting factor was the high motivation of the community to maintain religious harmony through a good understanding of religion.Keywords: Strategy, Da'wah, Contemporary

Abstract

Implementation of strengthening family based character education is not an easy thing for parents to do. This is because, after the Covid-19 pandemic, many young people were poisoned by the flow of digitalization so they have bad characteristics, such as being addicted to online games. It is undeniable that currently almost all young people have gadgets and many of them use them incorrectly they affect behavior change. This study aims to find out how parents implement character education for the younger generation and the supporting and inhibiting factors in Lau Gumba Village, Karo Regency. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the implementation of family-based character education is manifested in the form of the attitude of parents who exemplify the spirit of work and responsibility, then instill humility and exemplary behavior in worship. Character education has supporting factors, namely the enthusiasm and strong motivation of parents in educating their children. While the inhibiting factor is the lack of understanding of the concept of character education in the family.

Abstract

Abstract: In order for the potential of students to develop, an effective learning method is needed. Therefore, this research describes how the implementation of Muhasabah An-Nafs in the learning process and whether this method can help students of Madrasah Aliyah Miftahussalam Medan to recognize and discover their potential. In this study, researchers used a type of descriptive qualitative approach which contains complex descriptions and views of respondents. Collection of data sources taken by researchers based on observational data, interviews, and documentation, then concluded through an analysis model with stages; data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The first result obtained from this study is that Muhasabah An-Nafs has a good impact on students and for the school, so that teachers and students have good self-control and can recognize themselves so that they become quality graduates. The results of the two studies with Muhasabah An-Nafs can also help students recognize their own potential by opening their horizons of thinking to be wider so that they reap achievements from the potential they have.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Pemahaman Masyarakat Gonting Malaha Tentang Konsep Kerukunan Umat Beragama dan Praktik-Praktik yang Dilakukan untuk Mewujudkannya dan Peran Pendidikan Agama Dalam Membentuk Sikap Toleransi Dan Saling Menghormati Antar Umat Beragama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata yang tertulis atau lisan. Sumber data penelitian yaitu data primer dan sekunder serta teknik pengumpulan data dengan mengadakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menelaah strategi dan hambatan dalam penguatan nilai agama dan moral peserta didik di SMP Muhammadiyah 47 Sunggal. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif analisis. Informan dalam penelitian ialah guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, Kepala Sekolah, Waka Kesiswaan dan 3 Peserta didik SMP Muhammadiyah 47 Sunggal. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengumpulan data (data collection), reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display) dan kesimpulan (conclusion). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai agama dan moral peserta didik sudah baik seperti sikap sopan santun, jujur dan amanah dan menjalankan perintah Allah Swt. Sesuai dengan ajaran islam. Strategi dalam penguatan nilai agama dan moral dilakukan dengan inovatif dan strategi yang bervariasi seperti pembiasaan ketertiban, kegiatan keagamaan, kegiatan esktrakurikuler, integrasi nilai agama dalam semua pelajaran dan melalui contoh peneladanan. Faktor penghambat dalam penguatan nilai agama dan moral berupa faktor internal peserta didik dan faktor eksternal dari sekolah, namun dalam mengurangi hambatan, berbagai solusi dilakukan oleh warga sekolah dalam penguatan nilai agama dan moral peserta didik yang lebih tangguh.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the implementation of lecture and discussion methods in improving the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Al-Ulum Integrated Islamic High School in Medan. The method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. Based on the research conducted, the researcher draws the conclusion that the lecture method applied in the learning process is a lecture method interspersed with question-and-answer methods. The discussion method used in this learning process is the small group discussion method. The learning outcomes of students in classes that apply the lecture method, in terms of cognitive aspects, have increased, and in terms of affective aspects, students can accept learning well. The results indicate that the use of lecture and question and answer methods is very necessary in the online learning process. The combination of lecture and question and answer methods needs to be applied to create interaction in the classroom. The implementation of gestures in teaching is very effective in engaging students who are in the concrete operational stage.

Abstract

This study aimed to find an effective solution in improving learners' understanding of Islamic Religious Education through the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model. This case study was relevant because it can provide valuable insights into how to overcome students' learning difficulties and improve the quality of Islamic learning in high school education. The subject of this reseacrh was ten students who was taught by using the jigsaw learning strategy. The teachers conducted a curriculum analysis to determine the competency standards and basic competencies that would be delivered to students using this model. Students' learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Education were classified as Good, with an overall average percentage of 71 falling within the 66-79 interval. The improvement in student learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II suggested that the implemented improvements in teaching could address the challenges faced. The Jigsaw approach can enhance collaboration among students, allowing them to share knowledge and understanding of various aspects of Islamic Education. By dividing the lesson material into small parts, each student takes responsibility to understand and teach a specific part. The implication of this research underscores the importance of implementing appropriate learning approaches tailored to students' characteristics, such as Jigsaw, to enhance their understanding of PAI subjects, particularly for students facing learning difficulties.
