MENDIDIK: Jurnal Kajian Pendidikan dan Pengajaran (MENDIDIK) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang dikelola oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Mathlaul Anwar Banten dengan tujuan utama menyediakan forum internasional bagi akademisi, peneliti, dan praktisi pendidikan untuk berbagi, menyebarluaskan, serta mendiskusikan berbagai hasil penelitian, pengalaman, dan perspektif dalam bidang pendidikan. Fokus utama jurnal ini mencakup berbagai aspek pendidikan, pengajaran, pengembangan kurikulum, instruksi, proyek serta inovasi pendidikan, metodologi pembelajaran, dan penerapan teknologi baru dalam dunia pendidikan serta pembelajaran. Dengan cakupan yang luas, jurnal ini diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah bagi para akademisi dan praktisi dalam mengembangkan wawasan serta berkontribusi terhadap kemajuan pendidikan secara global. MENDIDIK diterbitkan secara rutin dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan April dan Oktober, guna memastikan publikasi penelitian yang berkualitas dan relevan dalam mendukung perkembangan ilmu pendidikan.

This research aims to know the teaching learning process of speaking IV class by using Monroe’s motivated sequence on persuasive speech topic and to improve students’ public speaking skill in delivering persuasive speech by using Monroe’s motivated sequence as a method of organizing persuasive speech. The research method used in this research is class action research with two cycles which conducts two actions per cycle. Data is got by performance test, observation, giving questionnaire and interview. The result of this research shows that teaching learning process of speaking IV class by using Monroe’s motivated sequence on persuasive speech topic has increased the students’ activeness and involvement in every cycle. The average of students’ activity in first cycle is 70.00% and got increased to 81.66% in second cycle. Students’ public speaking skill in delivering persuasive speech increased significantly proved by average of performance test result which increase from 71,70 in cycle 1 to 78,00 in cycle 2 with 75% class achievement. The interview results shows that students are interested in learning persuasive speech by using Monroe’s motivated sequence because it eases them to organize and deliver persuasive speech.

The social adjustment as a process of adjustment to takes place in a sustainable. In their life, a person will be confronted with two realities that is self and their surroundings. Foster children that break the rules of orphanage, irresponsible, and unable to communicate well is indicative of the low social adjustment. REBT looked that the inability of individuals in interpersonal relationship resulting from irrational thinking. One of the efforts made to improve social adjustment is by doing REBT approach. This research was aimed at revealing the effectiveness of REBT approach in improving foster care social adjustment. This research is a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. By using Simple Random Sampling technique. The class consisted of 10 students the treatment was given in 6 meetings. The instrument was a scale model of Likert. Data were analyzed by using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test assisted with SPSS versi 20.00. The result indicates that, in general, REBT approach Setting Group was effective in improving the social adjustment of foster children in orphanages Wira Lisna Padang. Meanwhile, in particular, there was a significant difference in the average scores between the social adjustment foster children before and after doing REBT approach Setting Group.

The background of this study is the fact of less self-monitoring ability optimalization among adolescents, and as a result the lack of self-awareness among adolescents. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of transactional analysis in counseling approach to develop adolescent’s self-awareness. This study uses quasi experiment with non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. Population of this study are 20 students of class 11th in SMA Negeri 2 Ogan Ogan Ulu (OKU) grouped in the experimental group (10 students) and control group (10 students). Data were analyzed using non-parametric statistic with Mann Whitney or U-test. As a result of this study, the self-awareness profile picture in 11th grade students of senior high school in OKU has categorized in intermediate level, the design of transactional analysis counseling intervention, and transactional analysis counseling is effective to improve students’ self-awareness. Recommendation based on research for guidance and counseling teacher is to apply the procedure of transactional analysis counseling by using structural technique with aim to develop self-awareness of students, and next researcher is for exploration toward one of techniques in transactional analysis counseling to facilitate all indicators, aspects, and self-awareness dimention.

This study aims to improve the results and meaningfulness of student learning through the application of character-based integrative thematic learning design. This type of research is Stringer model class action research in two cycles with the look, think, and act stages. Data collection instruments use question instruments, questionnaires, observation sheets, and field notes. Data analysis uses comparative description techniques. The subjects of this study were 4th grade students of Salatiga Elementary School 03. The results showed an increase in the results and meaningfulness of student learning. The completeness of the thematic learning outcomes of students in cycle 1 for the content of Indonesian language learning is 79% and the content of the IPS lesson is 70%. In cycle 2 shows the completeness of learning outcomes for the contents of Indonesian language lessons by 88% and the content of social studies by 76%. Student meaningfulness in cycle 1 reached 76% in the meaningful category, then in cycle 2 increased by 88% in the very meaningful category. Based on the results of the study, the application of character-based integrative thematic learning design can improve the results and meaningfulness of student learning.

This study aims to analyze the idea of using interactive multimedia in improving students' mastery of concepts in science lessons. Research using quantitative methods with the method quasi-experimental. The study design is nonequevalent control group design. The steps taken in this research are: determining the sample, held a pretest, providing treatment in experimental and control groups, and provide a posttest. Based on the results of research can be concluded that there are positive and significant difference between the ability of students' mastery of the concept of an optical instrument that uses interactive multimedia learning with learning that uses Microsoft Office PowerPoint on science lessons. The use of interactive multimedia in learning can also enhance students' interest and motivation in learning to follow. Generally speaking, the use of interactive multimedia and significantly effective in improving the ability of mastering the concept of optical tools in the classroom science lesson VIII.

The objective of this study was to obtain the empirical evidence about the effect of using short story toward students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery at the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Labuan. The sample of this study was 70 students taken from the eighth grade of SMPN 1 Labuan. 35 students were from the experimental class and 35 students were from controlled class. The method used in this study was a quantitative method that designed the experimental. In collecting the data, the researcher conducted test twice to both the class in which one was as pre-test and another was post-test. And in analyzing the data, the researcher used t-test formula to find out whether there was a significant difference between two variables in this study. The result of statistic calculation obtained that the value of t-observation (to) was 22.191 and the degree of freedom (df) was 68. In the table of the significance 5%, the value of (df) = 68 was 1.667. By comparing the value of to (22.191) with the value of tt (1.667), it could be seen that the value of to was higher than the value of tt. Then, the alternative hypotheses (Ha) was accepted and the null hypotheses (Ho) was rejected. Based on the result, it could be concluded that the use of short story was more effective in teaching and learning reading comprehension toward students’ achievement in vocabulary mastery than without using short story

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of moving class learning models on the effectiveness of student learning "in MTs state Serang . The number of samples is 30 students, the method used by the writer in conducting this research descriptive survey, with data collection techniques: observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation and literature study. Based on the data the writer obtained from the results of the study were normally distributed with a mean value: 38.43, median: 38.83, mode: 39.63 and standard deviation: 5.84. whereas in variable Y or learning effectiveness students are normally distributed with a mean value: 39.47, median: 40.37, mode: 42.17 and standard deviation: 8.23. In this study the writer concluded that there is a high enough influence on the moving class learning model on student learning effectiveness because it obtained the correlation coefficient ("r") of rxy: 0.76 with a contribution rate of 58% and the remaining 48% influenced by other factors which can affect the effectiveness of student learning.

The method used in this study in an experimental method conducted in State Junior High School 1 Cigeulis Pandeglang regency by taking eight grade student in the academic year 2017/2018 as a population. As for the sample technique using classter random sampling. Lottery results for the five classes that were obtained werw class VIII-A as the experimental class and class VIII-B as the control class. Each class numbered 25 students. This the number of samples in this study was 50 students. Class A is given a talking stick model, while class B control is given an expository model. Based on testing the hypothesis it can be concluded that there is a positive influence on the use of the talking stick model on the ability to analyze the intrinsic element of ode poetry class VIII 1 Cigeulis middle school Pandeglang District Bnaten Academic Year 2017/2018. This result is based on t testing at the significance level α = 0,05 obtaine tcount = 9,225 ttable = 1,6814 with error rates 5% and dk = 48, then obtaine tcount > ttable. Yhus the value of decision H0 rejected (μ1 ≠ μ2) wich means significantly that there is an effect of using the talking stick model on the ability to analyze elements of ode poetry in class VIII junior high school 1 Cigeulis Pandeglang district Academic Year 2017/2018

The aim of the research is to know the effectiveness of SQ3R method (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) in improving student reading comprehension in indonesia language. The method of the research is qualitative approarch by using obsevation technique and literary study based on the relevant resources in improving student reading comprehension. The result of the research is SQ3R method can improve student reading comprehension. It can be seen that student be active and focus readers so that they can comprehend the texts both implicit and explici effectively, there is improving ability to communicative, and the diffrences of average student reading score in indonesia language at the tenth grade of sma Mathla’ul Anwar Menes-Pandeglang-Banten. In short SQ3R method is effective to use in improving students reading comprehension. How ever, there is weaknesses in this research, it is better to do further research using more observation to get accurate data.

TEACHER AND STUDENT ETHICS IN EDUCATION OF IMAM AL-GHAZALI'S PERSPECTIVE. Humans in general in overcoming all weaknesses are by preparing the next generation through religious education and teaching as well as worldly knowledge both formally and informally. education should be rooted in the problems that are around us. The problem that I think is currently being faced is the decline in ethos in social relations both between individuals and between groups, or individuals with groups. Ethics is a very important crown that we need to uphold, the pattern of relations between teachers and students is something very vital . This study concluded that 1) Ethics is seen as something sacred that must exist and be owned by everyone, especially the ethics of teachers and students. 2) Understanding the ethics of teachers and students in the teaching and learning process according to Al-Ghazali concluded that education is essentially the interaction between educators and students. 3) The ethics of teachers and students can be reflected in the gentle attitude and compassion the teacher aims to draw closer to God.
