Abstract

Basic technical skills in the game of field tennis are still often found several obstacles, one of which is the basic technique of serving. Many students who take field tennis courses still experience errors when serving. They tend not to feel confident and hesitate when serving, so an approach is needed to overcome the problem, one of which is using imagery. The methodology used is quasi experiment, where the implementation does not use a control class. The research subjects were PJKR students of Insan Budi Utomo University who were taking field tennis courses as many as 40 students. From the research that has been carried out, it has been obtained in the form of t-test results and t-count results where it is found to be greater than the t-table, 2.86> 2.262, therefore there is a difference in the increase from pre-test to post-test. Where in the pre-test average result is 8.4, while the post-test average result after imagery training is 15.5. In addition, imagery training has an influence of around 84.52% on the results of tennis serving skills in PJKR students at Insan Budi Utomo University

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of fixed target training and moving on the accuracy of gyaku-tsuki punches in karate athletes at PGRI Palembang University. This research is carried out in the form of pseudo-experimental research with experimental methods. The subjects of the study were 60 karate athletes from PGRI Palembang University. The instrument used is the precision of the gyaku-tsuki punch. Data analysis techniques use hypothesis tests with t-test analysis (paired sample t test). Based on the results of the paired t test analysis, the first t test sample has obtained an F value of 0.099 > sig. 0.05. Based on the percentage increase in accuracy results, it is known that accuracy with moving target training has a greater increase than training using fixed targets. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an effect of fixed target training and moving on the accuracy of gyaku-tsuki punches in PGRI Palembang University karate athletes, and the percentage of accuracy increase with moving target training has a greater increase than regular training.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the long service skills performed by extracurricular student at SMA Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota are not optimal and lack precision in their execution. The long service is the first stroke in the game of badminton and is considered part of the small ball sports category. Arm muscle power training is method to strengthen the arms using two exercises: push-ups and dumbbell higg swings, making it an effective method to improve long service skills. The research aims to determine the influence of arm muscle power training on long service skill. The research methodology employed in this is pre-experimental with a One Group pre-tets and post test design. Data was collected through purposive sampling with inclusion and excluxion criteria resulting in a sample size of 20 individuals. Data analysis utilized the Wilcoxon test and paired Sample T-test. Based on the statistical output “Test Statistics” it was found that the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000. since 0.000 is less than < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre- test amd post-test scores.in conclusion, this research demonstrates significant deifference between the pre-test and pos-test scores.in conclusion, this research demonstrates a significant influence of arm muscle power training on long service skills among extracurricular students at SMA Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of physical fitness training for students of the Physical Education, Health and Recreation (PJKR) Study Program at STKIP Citra Bakti using the B4FIT Model. The research method used is a time series pre-experiment involving 40 PJKR students as research samples who undergo a physical fitness training program with the B4FIT Model. The main stages of the study included identification of variables to be measured, design and implementation of the exercise program, and data collection through pre- and post-intervention physical tests. The results showed a significant improvement in the physical fitness level of students who underwent training with the B4FIT Model. Variables such as muscular strength, agility, and cardiorespiratory endurance showed consistent and meaningful improvements after the intervention. From these findings, it is concluded that the B4FIT Model is effective in improving the physical fitness level of PJKR students at STKIP Citra Bakti. The implementation of exercise programs with this approach is able to have a positive impact on the physical fitness aspects of students. The implications of this study support the need for a structured fitness training method that can improve the health and physical performance of PJKR students.

Abstract

The aerobic endurance capacity of PJKR progdi students must be above the average of the aerobic endurance capacity of other students. Observing this phenomenon, this study aims to determine the capacity of aerobic endurance (VO₂Max) using the Bleep Test in first semester students of the PJKR study programme. The method in this study is quantitative non-experimental with a quantitative descriptive approach. The population used in this study were first semester students of the PJKR study programme, the number of samples was 70 people. The research was carried out at the PJKR study programme. Data analysis using statistical analysis includes preparation, tabulation and data application. Based on the results of research and discussion, it is concluded that the level of physical fitness of Physical Education study programme students is categorised as very less (95.51%) and 4.28% of students are categorised as less. It can be said that more than 95% of physical education study programme students have a very poor level of physical fitness. Students need to manage their diet, rest and exercise activities regularly. The study programme is recommended to monitor and improve physical fitness for students through training and evaluation programmes.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the impact of organized training interventions on the football agility of under-15 players at SSB Muspan. The main goal is to compare the Football Agility Score (FAS) values obtained from initial and post-training evaluations, taking into account various agility dynamics, real-world significance, and personalized reactions. Participants were subjected to a thorough agility assessment both before and after a predetermined training program, during which distances and timings were measured and recorded. The FAS, determined by multiplying the ratio of distance to time by a fixed factor, was used as a precise quantitative indicator of agility. The research used rigorous analysis to reveal the subtle effects of the training program on agility, taking into account characteristics such as quick changes in direction, acceleration, and deceleration. The comparison research showed a significant rise in post-training FAS values, suggesting a beneficial impact on participants' football agility. The results provide valuable practical knowledge for coaches, trainers, and sports scientists, emphasizing the need for customized training regimens that take into account individual reactions and agility dynamics. This research adds to the wider discussion in sports science by providing detailed insights on how to improve football agility in the specific age group of under-15s.
